The sword hilt is black leather wrapped handle with elegantly
etched and worked black metal where the hand guard is designed
to appear like rays of light coming from a brilliant deep purple
twilight stone embedded just beneath on either side of the hilt.
The very bottom is hematite stone carved in the Rajnish crest of
a warrior defeating a shadow demon. The twilight stones
instantly begin to glow with purifying twilight energy the
moment Keirran touches the hilt. The glow then spreads through
the hilt as Keirran lifts it with a brilliant, intense purifying
twilight energy forming where the blade should be. If Keirran
had his body the energy would create a solid black metal blade.
Instead the energy just glows as if waiting for a command. This
is what Keir was waiting to see and grins when he takes a sip of
his drink.
Callahan looks more pleasantly surprised than he perhaps
intended to look when he sees how the sword reacts to Keirran.
Callahan: So the Old Man was right. Not just about the sword and
how it would react, but that you're actually my little brother.
Sorry, I might have been watching out for you on and off through
our lives, but I still had some doubt. That pretty much just
dissolves that doubt. He then looks to Anna. Callahan: Do you
mind if I get a drink?
Anna: Sure. What would you like?
Callahan: Just a glass of tea please. He says with a smile.
Anna: Sure, I'll get you a glass. Anna says as she walks towards
the kitchen. Anna: Want anything, Rita?
Rita: I'll just join you and figure it out on the way. Rita says
as she follows Callahan. She figures that she might as well get
to know Anna since she knows that her husband is going to talk
about helping Keirran.
Keir looks to Keirran as Anna walks away but addresses both
Callahan and Keirran. Keir: Now that we have the answer on
Keirran's heritage. What happened and why the family separated
across the multiverse is a long story as Callahan will vouch
for. Part of the catalyst was the death of your father by the
Council's special assassins. There was a reason why the truth of
your heritage was kept from you and that was for your safety.
Now the question is would you like the long story or the short
story or just jump to figuring out about how to get your body
back and worry about the rest later?

Kierran: Keir has already given me enough of the story to figure
out most of it. You can keep it short. He holds up the sword
hilt. What should I do with this?

Callahan: You can put the sword back in the box for now. It will
be more useful when we actually go to get your body back.
Callahan says as he finds a seat and sits down.
Keir: As for the short story, the royal families and the high
nobles saw what the Hoshu-teki cult was doing to the death
wraith people once the cult gain power in the Council. The royal
and high noble families started the first rebellion attempt
against the Hoshu-teki cult lead Council and was declared as
enemies and traitors of the death wraith people by the Council.
Council declared the eradication of all royal and high noble
families decree and formed the Dark Shadow Assassins. A stupid
decision on the Council's part as the royal and high noble
families were bred by Toranoraos and his siblings as the first
line of defense in this universe against Xeles, dark spirits,
and other beings from Xeles' realm. Keir begins as he tries to
keep the story short and takes a pause to take a sip of his
drink. Keir: The massacres began, and your family began the
Great Noble Exile of the survivors as a way to regroup forces
and protect vulnerable children. This effort was helped by
self-exiles like myself and our transdimensional traveling
allies among the Atlanteans. Young children weren't originally
separated from their mothers, but your mother lost her senses
after your father was killed a month before you were born,
Keirran. Your birth father died at the hands of the Dark Shadow
Assassins as he was luring them away from you, your mother,
Callahan, and Karna. Keir then sighs in anger and depression.
Keir: He was a good man who loved his family, Keirran. He then
regains his calmer composure as he reminds himself that Nirjar
had made it impossible for anyone else to follow him. Keir: I
insisted to your mother to keep the three youngest of you
together with her, but she was dead set on separating you all
for your safety. She also insisted that her own family, the
Blacks, raise you regardless of how dangerous that was. I ended
up rising Callahan after he showed the first signs of having a
knack for death wraith shadow medicine arts. Karna was raised by
an Atlantean supernatural hunter family specializing in dark
spirits and vampires. Now here we are with Callahan having to
briefly explain your past because Revon either chose to never
tell you the truth or Maiti, your mother, told him to never tell
you, or she left you with no note to Revon.
Callahan: Probably could've shorten it a bit more, Old Man.
Callahan says under his breath with a sarcastic tone.
Meanwhile, Rita is having a pleasant conversation with Anna
about life with Keirran and Anna's children as the two women get
some ice tea. Rita always hoped that Callahan had nicer
relatives than many of Callahan's adopted siblings and thrilled
to find out that Anna is normal in terms of personality.

Kierran puts the sword handle back in the box. Kierran: As far
as I know, when my father found me, there was no information
about me known. Even his friends like my mentor never figured
out who I was. I'm guessing that whatever incident left me out
there as a baby... Maybe my birth mother must have been in too
much of a hurry. It's possible that she never left a note.
Either that or maybe she thought it would be safer if no one
could track my origin. He wasn't the only one who tried to track
down my parents. Even I did my own research, even though
eventually I gave up on it, and decided to just keep the Black
Family name since my father had no children of his own. Tarich
and I were the closest thing to children that my father had, and
I didn't have a family name like Tarich did. I gave up any ties
to my past a long time ago... I was content to just assume I was
abandoned, and that I could just stay a member of the Black
family... It's all I can do for my father now. He says, the last
part to himself. Even knowing his origin, he still considered
Revon Black his father, despite the fact that Revon Black was
only his adopted father. He then turns to Callahan. I'm going to
warn you though... I'm not going to expect to get my body back.
Aeron Kazara has tried to hold it over me that if he dies, my
body dies with him. So I'm not planning to let him live if it
means he could escape. I won't make the same mistake that the
council did with Drakath by trying to put Aeron in a prison cell
for an undetermined amount of time. I'm going to stop him, and
if I have to kill my body to do that, then so be it.

The sword stops glowing and returns to its silent state once in
the box. Keir and Callahan both listen closely to Keirran as he
talks about his past and both conclude that Keirran's birth
mother decided the lack of knowledge was safer. Keir has to
admit that was not a bad choice but still one that makes things
complicated. Keir frowns as he takes a sip of his drink when
Keirran warns them about Aeron's threat over Keirran's body. He
was hoping for a simple body swap and not have to call in extra
help. Keir: Dia dhaoibh! Keir swears in Irish about the threat
as he realizes that they'll need more help.
Callahan: That is a serious threat from a seiji. I wonder where
he could've learned such a trick if the threat is true. I always
thought that seiji didn't have soul manipulation powers like
that. Callahan says with concern in his voice as he also
contemplates how to solve the situation now that Keirran warned
about Aeron's threat.
Keir: Simple bloody soul magic can do such a maneuver, and just
about anyone can learn it if they find the right teacher. Of
course that means knowing a black magic user. He says with a bit
more anger than he intended to let out. Keir: I'll need to call
in Elena Lifewalker to help with us with this. Keir then sighs a
bit as he and Elena have a bit of a rocky past. Keir: She's the
only one I know who could undo what Aeron has done if he really
has taken Keirran's body hostage. I may need Anna's and your
help with Elena, Keirran. Keir then focuses on Keirran. Keir:
Thinking of Anna, does she know about Aeron's threat over your
body if we kill him?
Anna finishes getting Callahan's ice tea but is a bit distracted
with talking with Rita and getting to know each other. The
occasional laugh from the two women can be heard from the
kitchen.

Kierran: Well... This incident has revealed to me just how
little we know about the Seiji as a whole. We only know they're
basically the demonic versions of humans, but we don't know
nearly as much about their abilities as we thought. My friend,
Alathen, explained to me that the body switch was originally a
Seiji demonic spell they had originally purposed for
infiltration, but the spell was never finished originally
because they had too much pride in their normal selves to want
to change bodies, so they opted for demonic shapeshifting power
instead. The Seiji are able to use things like dark or demonic
magic without the same negative effects other races get when
they use it. Apparently, some of the powers that humans take
that has that negative effect like dark magic or demonic magic,
includes powers that were originally meant for the Seiji before
King Satan ordered them all killed during the last Heaven/Hell
war. He stops as he asks whether Anna knows about Aeron's
threat. I did tell her everything. I haven't kept anything from
her about this. I even warned her that I may have to destroy my
old body if it means taking Aeron Kazara down. I'm not sure how
she feels about me having to possibly destroy my old body, but
she should be aware of it at least. Kierran explains. However,
while he was talking, an idea strikes him, and he picks up the
sword handle again. Wait... I want to try something. He says as
he uses the shadow stone Anna had given him for Christmas,
trying to use the shadow stone to take death wraith form. He
hadn't really been practicing with the ability to take death
wraith form too much, but he wasn't sure if taking a death
wraith form would satisfy the requirement for the sword in terms
of body. The death wraith form was a death wraith form of his
Seiji body but with aspects of his original body's power that
Kierran had worked in his own demonic shapeshifting power with
the shadow stone to create something akin to a new death wraith
form for himself. He mostly hoped that his death wraith form and
the aspects of his death wraith form would be similar enough to
his original body that he could get the weapon to recognize him
if his original body was of the bloodline he was supposed to be.
It was times like this Kierran was thankful for his adaptability
talents.

Keir: At least Anna is prepared if we can't save your body. Keir
says to Keirran just before Keirran gets his idea. Keir sees the
ring and smiles as he figured that was why Anna had ordered it
before Christmas, but then his smile turns to a look of
curiosity and shock. The sword hilt lit up and came to life when
Keirran picked it up again just as it had before with the
purifying twilight energy forming a blade shape. Then the sword
does something that neither Callahan nor Keir were expecting
once Keirran takes the death wraith form he had worked on. The
blade shape energy glows blindingly bright for a brief second
and then fades down to reveal and black metal blade with streaks
of twilight colors along the blood groves. It pulses with
purifying twilight energy a signal that it is ready for combat
yet Keirran would be able to sense that something is still being
held back. Keir's eyes go wide in disbelief and worry. Keir had
heard of a similar situation involving one of the high noble
families where the longer the soul is in the wrong body then the
more in-tune and harmonized the two become thus harder to break
the spell.. meaning it would have to be recast or a different,
more complicated technique is needed.
Callahan is just as surprised as Keir but the first to say
something. Callahan: Was that supposed to happen, Pops? Because
I didn't think that was suppose to happen.
Keir: I said that the sword knows when the body and soul are in
disharmony and would detect the soul. As descendants of
Toranoraos the Celestian god of soul and nothingness, your souls
have been personally created by the old blasted god himself just
like the four royal swords. Keir says with the surprise and
worry obvious in his voice and then takes a quick sip to help
regain his composure. Keir: That's why the swords can detect the
souls of their royal family and react to them but will do little
to nothing in reaction to the body alone. The royal families'
greatest powers are attached to their souls and not just their
bodies. Rajnish soul power is primordial purifying twilight
energy for example. So the longer the soul is in a foreign body
then the more harmonized the two become and thus the sword
apparently reacts with such a harmony that is forming. I've only
heard of such a thing happening in a high noble family once
before I was born but only thought that such an event was
mythology. He then sighs as he decides to ask Keirran a question
that he's dreading the answer to. Keir: Keirran, exactly how
long have you been in Aeron's body?

Kierran: I've been in this body for about 10-12 years...
Depending on how long it took Alathen to stabilize this body,
and the time I spent initially training to learn how to use this
body. Normally a foreign soul wouldn't be able to inhabit a body
like this, but Alathen had to help me bond to this body with
Seiji dark magic so that the body wouldn't reject my soul, which
it apparently tried to in the beginning. If it hadn't been for
Alathen helping stabilize me, the body would have rejected me,
which I think is what Aeron Kazara was hoping would happen.
There's still a good chance it could happen sometime in the
future. He explains. He looks at the sword for a moment. It was
worth a try, but it still held back on me, I assume because of
the Seiji power not being my power. I managed to use the shadow
stone to replicate some of my original death wraith power
through a combination of the shadow stone death wraith
transformation and the Seiji demonic shapeshifting power. It was
to try and recreate my death wraith form, but with a demonic
twist to account for the Seiji power. But the form is
incomplete. It's possible if I complete it, maybe the sword will
recognize me fully without needing my original body.

Keir: Bloody hell! That's longer than I anticipated! Keir says
in disbelief with a bit of dismay and enlightenment. Keir: That
might explain a few things though. As for the sword holding
back, it could be because of the body but could also could be
because you're not the chosen leader either. Producing the blade
happens like that for all Rajnish descendants. It's when it
produces the Twilight Armor of the Night Lord that it's
unleashed its full power. You've been in Aeron's body long
enough to have harmony between soul and body, and the sword
knows by the death wraith form.
Callahan: So what does this mean?
Keir: More careful planning than I thought. Callahan, call
Karna... He then pulls out his phone and tosses it to Callahan
who catches it. Keir: ..and send a text to Elena telling her I
have a problem that maybe only she can solve. That should bring
her running. He then looks to Keirran as Callahan goes about to
his tasks. Keir: Can you call your friend, Alathen, to come
here? I'd like to ask him more about the spells he used... plus
Elena may want to know.

Kierran: Alright. He says in response to Kier and silently calls
Alathen to come and talk to the group. He also returns to normal
and puts the sword back in the box, figuring this part was
probably over.
After Kierran calls Alathen, Alathen seems to come down the
stairs, having appeared at another point in the house when
Kierran called him. He slowly walks down the stairs, with each
step being audible as Alathen wasn't trying to move stealthily
as he had come in. Alathen looks to the group silently for a
moment, studying the group, and seemed to have a natural Seiji
distrust for death wraiths. His presence would be nearly
undetectable at first, as Alathen was suppressing it so he
wouldn't leave a sulfur presence since he had been chewed out a
few times for his demonic presence leaving traces of sulfur
behind. His eyes were darker than normal people's (not being
purely white, but not being purely demonic black either) with
glowing red pupils, showing his demonic side. He was wearing a
cloak with a hood, with most of his face covered as he came down
the stairs. In addition to his Seiji, dark and demonic magic,
and raw demonic power, he had the powers of a dragon thanks to
him having eaten dragon hearts in the past. He had two dragon
stones that could be felt, one of which was a very rare void
dragon normally only found in Malice's territory, and a one of
the stones was Satan's demonic dragon stone, both dragon stones
having been given to him by Crowley. Alathen seemed to carry
himself with calm demeanor, but what little that one could sense
from Alathen right now was that he was much more powerful than
most of the remaining Seiji. Alathen's silent internalized anger
powering his Seiji power, despite not actually being angry,
showed that he had a mastery of anger and hatred manipulation in
his own mind, and his energy barely being able to be sensed at
all showed that he had mastered being able to control his own
power and energy.
