Keir: You sound like Callahan. He's been very happy with his
life on Earth with his wife and medical practice. Keir says with
a bit of a sigh and a sympathetic smile to Keirran. Keir: I as
well feel the same when it comes to returning to the home land.
I left there during the rise of the corrupt towards the end of
the 2nd council and only return to harvest certain things only
found in the Shadow Realm. He says as he looks to Callahan's
reply on the phone and feels a bit of relief as Callahan says
that he's on his way. Keir: As for who in your family is
destined to become the next Rajnish leader and thus destined to
restore our people, that's in the hands of the family heirloom.
It identifies all Rajnish family but only the true family leader
can access its full power. Your mother never fully understood
that. Sweet, loving woman though. You're technically the
youngest of six. Your eldest brother, Callahan, and the twins,
who are girls, were rejected by the heirloom as leader which
leave you and your elder brother, Karna, to be tested.. Keir
pauses a moment to turn off his phone and put it away while
taking a sip of his drink. Keir: ..and Karna never stays in one
universe, let alone place, for very long to get a hold of him
properly.
Anna calms her surprise over Keir's age and then goes over to
Keirran and stands next to him quietly.

Kierran: Great... So 50/50 chance I'm gonna get forced to have
to take over then, huh? Probably higher if this other person
isn't going to be able to be reached. He says with a sigh. Why
do I feel like all our problems are about to get much more
complicated?

Keir sighs a bit in sympathy for Keirran. Keir: It is a 50/50
chance. We'll cross that bridge when it comes. Which will be
when Callahan gets here. Not to compound your situation, but
there's a chance you could be in line to carry the weapon of
Toranoraos if you don't become the leader. Keir then takes a sip
of his drink.

Kierran: So either way, I'm gonna get screwed by this. He says
with a sigh. As if I haven't had enough trouble in my life

Keir: Oh your chances of being an avatar of Toranoraos have
greater odds against than being the leader of a death wraith
family. I'd say at best 20/80 chances. Keir then takes a sip of
his drink. Keir: There are four royal families and all four do
descend from Toranoraos. Then there are those mortal beings
among other races. Just someone out of the four families seems
to be more likely candidates according to what I've learned. Not
like that will brighten this situation, but when Fate decides a
particular path for you then some times you have to take it.
A male voice comes from some nearby shadows. Callahan: Because
running from it will only make it worse on you. Callahan then
emerges with his wife arm-in-arm. He holds a medical bag in his
other, but he and his wife are both dressed in street clothes.
Callahan: At least that's how you've always put it to me
whenever you said that to me about Fate. You're lucky Rita
remembered the code to the safe, old man. You know I hate using
old habits. That makes Keir smile to Callahan. Callahan then
pauses with his wife and studies Keirran for a moment. Callahan:
So this is the situation that you were talking about. Good thing
you warned Rita and me already for this surprise. Callahan says
to Keir while looking to Keirran with more sympathy and
curiosity than surprise. While Keirran doesn't know Callahan,
Callahan has known about Keirran and even secretly followed
Keirran's teenage to adult life. Callahan had always lived by
the promise of never approaching before but wishes he was around
the day Aeron had taken Keirran's body. Callahan: Hello,
Keirran. I am Callahan Rajnish though I go by my Earth adoption
papers surname of Alaister. This is Rita, my wife, and I 'm sure
this is a shock.
The Hispanic woman nods to Keirran with a smile. Senses would
tell that Rita is a werewolf in her human form.

Kierran: I know how much of a b*tch Fate can be. I met her once
when my mentor was working for him before she screwed over my
mentor. The only bigger prick than her is Death himself... He
says, crossing his arms. Even though his and Anna's mentor,
Hadeon Darkmore's, Exile was something that most knew was
Hadeon's own fault for disobeying Fate, it still didn't stop
Kierran from having a lot of resentment toward Fate for what had
happened to Hadeon, and even agreeing that some people didn't
deserve to live with the evil the commit (though Kierran still
operated within the rules compared to where Hadeon went outside
of the rules when hunting people who they considered evil). He
then turns as Callahan introduces himself and his wife. He nods
to them both in greeting. Kierran Black. The real one anyway.

Callahan: I'm glad to hear that. I visited the home land not
long after the seiji took control in your body. At least now I
know what happened and why I was sensing a seiji soul. He says
as he and Rita walk closer to the group. They release arms when
Callahan stops between Keir and Keirran.
Rita: Much to my disapproval that you visited your birth place.
She says with a playful accusatory smile and casually crosses
her arms in mock anger. Rita doesn't actually like Callahan
visiting the Shadow Realm but she can't stop him either.
Callahan just grins a bit at Rita's comment but continues
without missing a beat. Callahan: Yes, dear... I'm sorry I
wasn't there the day that seiji got the drop on you, Keirran,
and sorry that you're stuck in.. this form. I'll put in for some
leave time at the hospital for whenever you and your team decide
to get your body back so I can help. He then lifts the medical
bag in his hand and opens it open. Callahan then reaches in and
pulls out an ornate wooden box with a gold clasp and trim. The
box is just big enough for a sword hilt to be stored. Callahan:
Better to have enough allies by your side when you go to
retrieve your body. Now I'm guessing I grabbed the family
heirloom by the old man's request because, like myself and
Karna, he told you about your heritage and you went into
disbelief and at least surprise.. may be some anger. Callahan
says as he hands the box to Keirran. Callahan: It will recognize
a Rajnish family member by body and soul. Never tested to see if
it will react if one component is missing though within my
lifetime so this will be interesting.
Keir takes a sip of his drink. Keir: This happened once to your
great-great granduncle but with a human warlock instead of a
seiji. That sword is how we found his soul in the human body
which was wandering lost on Earth. It should work the same way
in this case.

Kierran: According to Alathen... Aeron doesn't hide his "soul"
from others anymore. He just explains his difference as a
mutation due to his demonic power copy of Balor Beimnech. Which
the other death wraiths seem to buy, at least for now. He says
in response to Callahan's comment about why he sensed a Seiji
soul from Aeron Kazara. He then crosses his arms when Callahan
talks about how there was disbelief and anger. Yeah... There was
some disbelief. It's like one of those series where some nobody
is told they're some royalty or something and then have to
become some super important person as a result... He sighs. I
hate those kinds of stories. Why should bloodlines determine
what we can be? He says bitterly, more to himself. He then takes
the box as it is handed to him.

Callahan: You and I think alike when it comes to heritage then.
Only difference is I was 18 when I was told and think I was a
little more hostile. Callahan says with a sympathetic tone of
voice as Keirran takes the box. Callahan: Only the oldest three
don't think like you and me, but that sword inside that hilt
size box wouldn't unlock its full power for them. It just glows
with purifying twilight energy and forms its basic blade which
is what it did for me as well.
Keir: Now the sword will glow in the presence of just the soul
or body but will not form the blade automatically as a sign of
spiritual and physical disharmony. You'll have to mentally will
the sword to form the blade. Keir then takes a sip of his drink.
Keir: So as long as it glows when you take it out, then you are
a Rajnish adopted into the Black family. Disharmony of soul and
body though will make it hard for the sword to determine if
you're the destined Rajnish family leader, but I'll just be
happy to not have to do much to prove your heritage, Keirran.
Anna and Rita both stand quietly.

Kierran: Alright... He says, understanding what he had to do. He
opens the box and goes to take the sword handle, trying to get
ready for whatever the sword might do in response to him.
