Rosetta: So even though I didn't have the Old Man in my life
until now, I still managed to have a half-ass normal sibling
childhood. Still.. sounds like we all had our share of "what the
f*ck" as we were all growing up differently. Rosetta says with
thoughtfulness in her voice. She looks to Hei with a small
smile. Rosetta: Also sounds like I need to give you some normal
sibling interactions like playing pranks. Mostly because I now
have a goal to teach you how to laugh since I don't think
there's much else you could learn from me. I would include K,
but he obviously knows how to laugh. She laughs a bit after that
and then takes a sip of her drink. Rosetta: Though I could teach
both of you how to use Klingon close combat weapons or any of
the alien tech that Jack and Mom might let me take from
Torchwood.
Zelpharia: Which isn't much technology since over half of the
technology is of unknown origins to the Federation including the
Asgard, and we have no clue what the untested technology does
without safe testing areas. Zelpharia says softly and then takes
a sip of her drink.
Laura: Well I'll forgive him for not telling me about it since I
know we've all been busy lately. I'll talk to Kindron about his
arm when he not busy getting to know another sister. Laura
smiles softly and then takes a sip of her drink. Laura: Believe
it or not, but I have a friend who might be able to help with
specialized abilities. This friend also be my doctor who
delivered both Yuffie and Josephine and is a very, very old
death wraith. Laura takes another sip of her drink. Laura: His
shadow medicine arts should be able to help unless that dark
spirit been altered by a primordial being while in Kindron's
arm. I only say that because of one case he can't solve because
of the alterations made by a primordial daemon on the patient
and her hollow half years prior. Laura knows about Anna's
condition like everyone else but also knows what Keir has
attempted and learned when he tried to help Anna as Laura had
been present. It was Laura who discovered the primordial demonic
alterations and residual energy caused by Cesdreal.

Hei just stays silent for the moment, since he felt like he
didn't want to seem unwilling to spend time with Rosetta by
trying to say he knew more than enough about close combat that
he didn't need to learn alien weapons, and didn't want to say
anything more that might make him seem unwilling to spend time
with Rosetta.
Kindron: Wait... You have Asgard tech? I spent some time not
long ago on an Asgard ship, and was taught the systems of the
Asgard ships as well as learning about the replicators in our
galaxy that they'd learned, so I have a pretty good
understanding of their technology. I even met their Supreme
Commander, Thor. I have pretty good relations with them so I
might be able to help you guys with any Asgard technology you
might have. I've also been studying Ancient as of late, so I
know quite a bit about some stuff relating to them as well. I
can also help you with Wraith tech since Dufort gave me a good
crash course in it, and I've been studying the stuff the Crow
Mercenaries hold on to. He says to Rosetta and Zeph. He knew
that they had been finding Ancient technology on earth in recent
years, but had never been able to learn much since it was all
government secrets. With Asgard technology as well, Kindron
figured his knowledge might help. And thanks to Dufort (Before
he went to jaile), Kindron had also been studying Wraith tech
the Crow Mercenaries had acquired over the years as well with
Dr. Oliver. He turns to Zeph. Looks like we both have our own
alien friends. He says jokingly to Zeph, knowing that Zeph had
good relations with the Klingons where Kindron had good
relations with the Asgard.
Qrow: I see... Well, it can't hurt to try. We've tried most
everything else. He says with a shrug at the mention of a death
wraith doctor.

Rosetta is quick to pick up on Hei's feelings thanks to her
psychic abilities and sighs a bit. Sometimes she really hates
being as powerful of a psychic that she is and this is one of
those times. Rosetta: You don't have to hold back how you feel
just because the most I have to offer is mind and emotion
shielding techniques which I bet you don't need more advance
training in, alien combat and technology knowledge, and whatever
social skills I developed, Hei. I am psychic after all and a
powerful one. Just hanging out and getting to know each other is
enough for me at this point. I may have a screwed up past and
personally wish that Vladimir wasn't my brother, but I still
enjoy being close with family as they've been the only ones I
can really trust to not just want to use me for their gain. I
know this is awkward, but I'm just feeling you guys out. She
says to Hei with a reassuring smile and tone of voice.
Zelpharia: Torchwood and the Federation has Asgard technology,
but we do know how it works thanks to our alliance with the
Asgard. I, myself, haven't personally met with their Supreme
Commander, but my cousin was the ambassador who established the
alliance treaty between both the Celestian government in this
quadrant of space and the Federation. The technology of the
Ancients that Torchwood does have, we have a fair knowledge of
but could use an extra hand with. Zelpharia says thoughtfully to
Kindron after he talks about his knowledge of Asgard and
Ancients technology along with experience with the Asgards
themselves. Zelpharia: The alien technology that we're having
problems identifying and nervous about testing isn't Asgard
technology nor technology of the Ancients. Some of this
unidentified technology has come from dimensional rifts. Asgard
scientist named Birger worked with us on some of it but couldn't
identify any of what we have that we know didn't come from
dimensional rifts. Even more frustrating is not being able to
understand the languages of the unidentified technology that
actually has computerized components which basically makes using
my telemechanic abilities more difficult. Then there's the alien
artifacts that function off supernatural or fundamental force
energies that make us nervous to attempt to test them. Those
items Jack and I are open to assistance on figuring out. She
says to Kindron with a smile.
Laura: As long as we know people like Zelpharia, then I think we
will have many other options to try beyond my own ideas and what
has already been tried. I'm sure other races in this universe
have things to try for his condition. She says to Qrow with a
bit of a laugh with a wry smile though she is serious. She
figures that if Zelpharia is an alien with supernatural
abilities that there must be other races out there with
supernatural abilities. Laura: I mean if there's a world where
men carry a baby to full term when the mother cannot during
pregnancy then there must be other worlds with dark spirit
hunters and soul purification experts.

Hei: So you're a psychic... That shouldn't surprise me. I guess
that means I am gonna need to watch my thoughts around you. He
says to Rosetta. You don't have to worry about us using you. Our
family is about protecting our own. And we're more than skilled
enough to figure out how to get our goals done without using
someone in our family. I'm sure Zelpharia has told you what the
Darkfires are like.
Kindron: Interesting... Well, I can certainly try to help as
best I can. I'm not the biggest expert on alien technology, but
I can certainly help analyze things. It would give me a chance
to test some new analysis tech I've been working on. He says in
response to Zeph.
Qrow: I'm sure we can find something eventually. I hope, at
least. He says with a shrug.
Kindron turns and looks to Laura. Kindron: I appreciate the
concern, but you don't have to worry too much. I am working on a
new mechanical arm that will replace my old arm, and focus the
dark spirit and its abilities in a way that won't hurt my own
soul if no alternative is found to get rid of the dark spirit in
my arm. But I do want to keep my options open, so I don't mind
trying other alternatives if they exist. He says to Laura. From
the sounds of it, it sounded like Kindron had come up with a way
to not only keep the dark spirit from hurting him, but also had
a way to possibly weaponize the dark spirit's power. Qrow looks
over, and then goes back to his drink, resisting the urge to
lecture Kindron again about how dangerous the dark spirit in his
arm could become.

Rosetta: Yeah, I'm annoyingly psychic, and it's a massive
headache when I have to be in public like going shopping. Humans
and many supernaturals don't know how to shield their thoughts,
and I can't just turn off my abilities so hear everything from
every unshielded mind at one time in my mind. It's why I've
taken up drinking since Tylenol doesn't work. She says to Hei
about her psychic abilities and then takes a decent swallow of
her drink as if to punctuate her point. Rosetta: And Mom told me
about how the Darkfire family is. It's why I agreed to meet the
Old Man and the rest of the family and learn about my Darkfire
heritage. I trust what Mom tells me more than just reading
government files which there's a few governments and politicians
that really don't like you guys. Like Portugal's government
really has a hate for the family and there's an Australian
parliamentarian who just rips Black Sun apart in his documented
demands for international investigation. It's like what have you
guys done to Portugal?
Laura: I don't like the sound of that idea, Kindron. It be bad
juju to put that spirit in a machine and use it in such a way.
Please keep that as a last resort if we find no other way. Laura
says with a frown to Kindron. She knows that Qrow is resisting
the urge, but that doesn't mean Laura has to as she goes into
mother hen mode. Laura: You don't be needed bad juju like that.
Zelpharia was going to respond to Kindron about setting up some
time for him to come to Torchwood and study some of the unknown
technology but stays quiet as he talks to Laura. She frowns a
bit when she hears about Kindron's idea of a mechanical arm as
she's both seen what happens when the supernatural is combined
with technology and heard about Nikki's experience as a slave
forced to make Splugorth bio-wizardry technology. Zelpharia: I
agree with Laura, Kindron. The Federation has about 15 races out
of 30 races who all have methods of removing dark spirits from
people so you definitely have options. Plus I've seen what
happens when supernatural and technology is combined in the way
that you're talking about, and it wasn't pretty.. but if you do
have to go through with it, then at least talk to that Nikki
Straver girl over at Hellsing. She's from the 41st century where
that kind of technology is far more common and probably knows
how to build what you want to accomplish better than yourself.
Zelpharia figures that if Kindron does have to take his route
then he might as well have an expert in the technology help him.
She figures that Nikki could talk him out of the idea or figure
out another method that none of them had thought of or tried.

Hei: Probably because I killed a few corrupt politicians in
Portugal, years ago... The leader of the country at the time, at
least before the last few, was trying to clean up the
corruption, but couldn't do it by legal means. So he hired me to
find and take out the corrupt politicians. I guess I didn't get
them all if they're all still ticked off. He says in response to
Rosetta.
Kindron: Actually... I found out from Kendrix that his dark
spirit copy managed to make technology that could be possessed
by dark spirits. I did initially turn down the idea...
Especially since it was HIS idea. He says, holding up his
bandaged arm. He thought that it would stabilize our bond more
easily, and without the pain we both suffer when trying to dark
arts gets involved. Apparently, he likes our bond since he gets
stronger as I do, and doesn't want to destroy me since I'm
basically his golden meal ticket as long as we're bonded. He
then looks at his arm. And I think he's starting to change the
more he stays with me... One time I had to use dark arts, he
actively held back from trying to kill someone. I didn't think
dark spirits could be anything but evil, but he's slowly
starting to feel more... subdued... I guess the right word would
be. I'm starting to think he's developing a conscience. He says.
Though it was obvious he didn't want to believe that dark
spirits were anything but evil, it was obvious he was starting
to wonder about the spirit.
Qrow hits the table angrily, and looks over to Kindron. Qrow:
Those THINGS are evil! They don't change. They're created from
the original evil in the multiverse. I don't care what it says,
it's not good nor will it ever be. I can't believe you would
even entertain the idea. You know how dangerous these things
are, and how they try to trick you. He says to Kindron.
Kindron turns to Qrow. Kindron: Trust me... I'm not taking this
lightly. It's not like I'm just gonna hand my soul over or
something. I don't take any action when it comes to him unless
I'm certain it won't hurt me. He says calmly to Qrow.

Rosetta: Ah.. now that makes sense. I'd be pretty p*ssed too if
someone put my compatriots in the ground too. At least the ones
you did get were corrupt. Rosetta says with a bit of a shrug to
Hei. Rosetta falls quiet after that as she can sense Qrow's
anger building as Kindron talks and thankful that she's psychic
as she was prepared for Qrow's angry outburst. She instead turns
her attention to Qrow and Kindron as she speaks telepathically
to Hei. Rosetta: "Now I see that my temper issues maybe a double
whammy from both parents."
Laura doesn't flinch at Qrow's outburst of anger when he hits
the bar top.. mostly because she has been with Qrow that long
and a bit of being psychic. She places a hand on top of Qrow's
and sighs softly a bit. Laura: You may think the technology be a
good idea with that thing in your arm, but I agree with your
father. You shouldn't take a risk. They be like other evil
spirit entities. Lull the one they attach to into a false sense
of safety and then take what they need. I also realize you are
an adult and must decide for yourself especially if all other
options fail. Just be careful and try all the options that
involve separating that might be available first please. Laura
says in a more soothing tone of voice.
She was going to remain quiet until something Kindron says makes
her eyes go wide and skin flush pale. It's Kindron's comment
about Kuroshi creating technology that dark spirits can use that
causes her reaction as memories from her first incarnation flash
in her mind. Sparks of distortion electricity crackle around
Zelpharia as the memories flash until Qrow hits the bar top in
anger. That snaps her back and causes the sparks to stop but
doesn't fully push back what she was trying to forget. Zelpharia
then takes a health swallow of her drink and mentally curses
alcohol's side effects even though she's suppressing her own
contamination immunity. She tends to forget that alcohol can
aggravate PTSD syndrome and sighs as she wasn't expecting the
conversation to turn towards dark spirit technology. She trust
Kindron would be more responsible with such technology than the
Dark Council of Ten had been, but that doesn't mean she thinks
it's a good idea. Still she remains quiet.

Hei was going to response, but Qrow's response to Kindron caught
him off guard. Hei: The old man is rarely ever angry...
Especially since Kindron is one of his favorite kids. It's rare
to see him that angry. But I've noticed that anytime dark
spirits are involved, he gets very testy. He explains
telepathically.
Kindron: Trust me... I'm not taking this lightly. If I can
remove the dark spirit, then I will. He says simply in response
to Laura. He notices Zelpharia's burst of electricity, not just
because he sensed the electrical energy, but because once again
he could hear the voice of the plasma energy in Zelpharia's
lightning. Kindron stopped for a moment before shrugging off the
voice he heard. After Kain had told him that the Bright and the
Rithm were both trying to get him as avatars after Kindron had
become so skilled with technology and plasma powers, he had
trying to ignore the voices he heard in technology and in plasma
energy.

Rosetta: "My Mom is actually the exact same way. She rarely gets
angry unless it involves certain subjects like Cyber Men or
Daleks and gets really testy.. though more testy than Pops. She
even managed to keep her temper with Vladimir when he was an
evil little sh*t as a kid." She says telepathically to Hei in
response. She then notices how Zelpharia reacts to hearing about
dark spirit technology developed by Kuroshi and sighs a bit. She
knows a little of what the reaction is about. Rosetta: "And
there's that elemental lightning that Jack and I wish Mom would
get help in mastering.. though that was just little, mostly
harmless sparks. Watch. She'll change the subject if someone
asks if she's alright." She telepathically says to Hei with a
mental sigh.
Laura: Good. That's all any of us can really ask for since you
are an adult. She says to Kindron with a soft smile while
patting Qrow's hand gently. She then looks to Zelpharia with a
concerned look after Zelpharia's little distortion electrical
PTSD moment. Laura could feel the destructive nature of the
distortion lightning sparks so decides to make sure that
Zelpharia is alright. Laura: Are you okay, Zeph? You got a
little pale and.. sparky when Kindron mentioned that dark spirit
breakaway's dark spirit technology.
Zelpharia sighs a bit to Laura and takes a sip of her drink.
Zelpharia: It's nothing really. Just bad memories from my first
incarnation is all. I keep forgetting that alcohol plus PTSD
plus suppressing my natural contamination immunity can equal
little moments like that. She says with an apologetic smile to
Laura. It's obvious that Zelpharia is avoiding talking about
what had just happened with her little PTSD flash. Zelpharia:
I'll be fine so no need to worry. She then looks to Kindron in
an attempt to change the subject from herself. Zelpharia: Back
to your situation though, I'll start sending out messages to the
other races in the Federation for descriptions of their dark
spirit removal techniques. That way it'll be easier to weed out
any methods that you've possibly have tried already.
Rosetta: "And there's the subject deflection to Laura's concern
and subject change right back to Kinny. Just like clockwork!"
She says telepathically to Hei with a mental sigh. Rosetta: "Why
can some people be so stubborn?"

Hei: I don't think I've seen her angry. But then again, I don't
spend a lot of time around her. Most of the time I spent around
her is around that other Kendrix who is from the Exiles. he says
telepathically.
Kindron: Right... I'll keep working on other solutions as well.
Hopefully we'll find something. He says in response to Zeph. He
decided not to push Zeph's deflection of the subject of her
being okay and the lightning for now, knowing it would not be a
good idea to push Zeph if she didn't want to talk about it. Of
course, he knew first hand what it was like to have stuff they
didn't want to talk about, since his past was filled with things
he didn't want to discuss.
Hei: You said you want her to learn how to master her lightning,
right? Is there a way we can get her to train with Kindron? He's
got a pretty good mastery of lightning... I hate to admit this,
but his knowledge of lightning is even stronger than mine. Maybe
there's a way we can get them to train together. He might even
be able to help her with her PTSD issues. Kindron has suffered a
lot as well. I don't think he's even talked about some of the
things in his past. He says in response to Rosetta's last
comment.
