Rosetta listens to Qrow as she puts out the black flames and
sips her drink as Qrow speaks. Rosetta: I can remember that
about the family abilities. I definitely need more help in
getting my telepathic abilities refined and under control. Mom's
done what she can, but I still can't stop hearing unguarded
thoughts without trying. Humans give me a headache while
concentrating to suppress my psychic powers gives me a headache
after so long. Drinking is about the only thing that helps with
either headache. It's also one reason why I have trust issues.
Laura gets a sympathetic smile. Laura: Her psychic talent be why
the bar's so empty other than Old Jax at the end. Laura nods her
head in the direction of the old blacksmith.
Rosetta: Surprisingly his stray thoughts are rather humorous and
not headache inducing dribble. Rosetta then takes a sip of her
drink.

Qrow: Yeah... We definitely need to get you to train with
Wolf-boy's other kid. He has a similar problem where he takes in
so much information that it overwhelms him. But it's not just
thoughts in his case, he takes in formation from the
environment, as well as other psychic abilities that might read
different things. Actually, I think the kid was the one who told
me that the Celestian psychic powers pair a little too strongly
with the vampire third eye that senses the world around you.
Combine that with a Darkfire's elemental senses, and I can see
why you would have some issues. In terms of psychic power, he's
probably the one who can help you with the psychic end of it.
I'm not a psychic, so I can't do much when it comes to helping
train psychic power. But I can teach you the Darkfire skills,
and maybe a little more discipline training might help you more
easily limit the information coming in.

Rosetta takes a sip of her drink as Qrow speaks. Her brain
finally catches on that Qrow is talking about Dufort. Rosetta:
You mean Dufort. You had me confused with the Wolf Boy comment
about Kindron. I've been referring to him as Fluffy since Mom
told me he's a werepyre. She says with a grin. Rosetta: Mom has
Ford and me training together when he's not busy since she
brought him to Torchwood. She figured the same thing especially
since our powers are similar in some ways. I definitely need
help with the fire and lighting.. and speed control. I could
also use more training when comes to dark spirits. I can not
only see them but also where they're slipping into the universe.
I figured that you could teach me more since I tell you were
fighting not long ago. Really should do a better job cleansing
the aura, Pops.

Qrow: Oh. Sorry. I assumed Laura would have told you that's what
I call Kindron. It's just my own nickname for him. You'll hear
me call him that a lot.He looks at his drink for a moment before
finishing it and pouring himself another one, as well as making
a mental note to probably call Kindron and Hei by name rather
than calling them Wolf-Boy (Kindron) and Brat (Hei). As for
fighting dark spirits, I'd prefer you didn't. It's my job to
fight off dark spirits in this world. I don't want my family
involved in fighting them. If you're beaten by a dark spirit and
your soul taken, you will end up facing a fate worse than hell
itself. He says, warning Rosetta. Also, I can't really teach
spirit purification or purifying darkness. Unfortunately, my
purifying darkness comes from Yami and my job title. It's not an
ability I can teach to others. You could try spirit
purification, but I don't know too much about spirit
purification as a whole. Honestly, Kindron is probably better
for that. Not only does he know how to help people gain spirit
purification abilities, but he also has a special material he
developed that is meant to purify spirits. He made some bullets
specifically with the stuff, and that's probably your best bet
for protecting yourself from dark spirits. He then turns to
Rosetta with a serious look. And whatever you do, stay away from
spirit destruction and spyrix. It may be able to destroy dark
spirits, but it's just as likely to destroy your own soul. He
then turns to Zelpharia. Don't the Celestians have spirit
purification tech? I heard Celestians predate creation. I had
been told you guys eventually moved from using psychic abilities
to spirit purification tech to take out dark spirits. Though
that Dufort kid does also have spirit countering psychic power
too from what Kindron told me.

Zelpharia can sense that Rosetta feels a bit insulted with
Qrow's words about how he doesn't want his family fighting dark
spirits and answers Qrow first. Zelpharia: Yes, we do, but the
amount of dark spirit infiltrations across the universe is more
than our technology can handle. She says with an equally serious
tone of voice as Qrow. Zelpharia: People like Rosetta have been
being recruited by Starfleet for the last 10 years because of
the steady trend of increased sightings so you might not want to
reject Rosetta's request.
Rosetta slams the rest of her drink while her mother talks and
pours herself another since Laura left the bottle next to her.
Rosetta: Yeah, I've been hunting and fighting dark spirits for
the last 9 years on and off so you're a little late on the
warnings of the risks, Pops. Rosetta says sarcastically as she
puts the bottle down. Her voice then turn more serious with a
bit of stubbornness. Rosetta: You might have Earth covered, Old
Man, but I've had to go to other worlds to help those who know
nothing about dark spirits or how to fight them. I just figured
Yami and you might have some tricks you could teach Katharízo
and me that my death wraith friend, Karna, doesn't have in his
bag. She then holds out her hand and forms a ball of intense
psychic purification energy. Rosetta: May be even teach me to
combine this.. She then holds out her other hand and forms a
ball of white lightning. Rosetta: ..with this or my dark fire.
So since I'm not stopping what I've been doing for the last nine
years because you don't want family getting involved. It's
officially a family business now, and you might as well accept
it, Pops.
Laura has been quietly standing and observing as Qrow and
Rosetta speak to each other. She gets a big grin on her face
when Rosetta goes stubborn on Qrow. Laura: Well this is starting
to sound more like a normal serious Darkfire family
conversation. Congratulations, mi amor.. she's another Hei.

Qrow sighs. Qrow: Damn that Aeron Kazara... It's because of him.
He says to himself with a sigh as he drinks some more. The
increase in the universe with dark spirits have been because
Aeron Kazara has severely weakened the death wraith defense of
the path to our living world ever since he took over the death
wraiths. And it only gets weaker with every day as the dark
spirits push through the death wraith defenses. He explains. And
because of him, now almost all of my kids have had to get
involved with fighting them off. It was never supposed to go
this way. It was only supposed to be me. He says to himself,
depressed as he continues drinking. He slams his fist on the
table in anger. I got involved so that you all wouldn't have to!
He then composes himself and looks to Rosetta. If I'd been in
your life 9 years ago, I would have done everything I could to
keep you from getting involved. There's only one way it goes
when you deal with dark spirits. Eventually they will win, and
they will take your soul. That's the only way it ends when
you're dealing with Xeles's realm.
Meanwhile, Yami addresses Laura's comment about it being another
Hei. Yami: You know, funny you should mention Hei... This
conversation went pretty much the same way when Kindron and Hei
tried to get involved with fighting dark spirits. And funny
enough, my feelings now are the same as my feelings were when we
were talking to Kindron and Hei. He says to Laura, but then
shifts his focus to Qrow. You know as well as me, Qrow... It's
too late for her to walk away. You know how it goes. She's
opened the door, and now just as she can see them, they can see
her. The only thing we can do is make sure she's got enough
power to protect herself. She's going to be fighting them off
likely for the rest of her life now that she's been noticed by
them.
Qrow sighs and drinks again. Qrow: I know Yami... He says,
depressed at the thought of another child fighting dark spirits.

Rosetta listens to Qrow and Yami as she sips her drink. She then
sighs a bit. Rosetta: Listen. I understand how you feel about
family getting involved, but they've known about me for a long
time. If how Yami puts it is right. I've been seeing dark
spirits, shadow demons, and other things typically invisible to
others since I was a kid. My first bad encounter was when I was
around 120 years old. My psychic senses were in full danger mode
so I went for a walk. That's when I saw a weird shadowy cr@ck
on a wall and what I thought was shadow demons. I don't why I
didn't ignore them as usual, but I didn't. I went into full
attack mode and formed a sword of purifying psychic energy in
one hand and white lightning sword in the other. I thought I was
going to be fighting alone until Karna showed up from the
shadows behind me. He saved my inexperienced ass that night. He
taught me quite a bit since then.. when he's actually in this
universe. First multiverse traveling Death Wraith I've ever met.
You should meet him.. Anyways.. Yami is right. I know just
enough to survive, but I know can learn more, Pops.
Laura: Well definitely sounds like she's won the argument unlike
Hei and Kindron. Talking about them boys. Laura then reaches out
telepathically to Hei and Kindron. Laura: "Hei.. Kindron..
there's someone at my bar you may want to meet if you have a
moment."
Zelpharia grabs Rosetta's bottle and pours some in her tea after
hearing Laura mention Hei and Kindron. She was going to need
something stronger to face those two with this one.

Yami: For now at least. I think Qrow has pretty much figured out
it's useless to argue at this point after the argument with Hei
and Kindron. He says in response to Laura.
Qrow: I will train you as best I can... It's not like I have
much of a choice at this point. If I want you to stay safe, I'm
going to have to train you. He says with a sigh as he drinks.
It doesn't take Kindron and Hei long as they both teleport to
Laura's bar. The two look at each other for a moment almost as
though they were silently greeting each other, then go over to
the group.

Rosetta: Well some father and daughter time will be good for me.
At least that's what Mom and Laura have told me. She says with a
bit of humor to Qrow. She then takes a sip before greeting Hei
and Kindron. Rosetta: So I'm guessing it's time to meet my older
brothers. She says without turning to look to Hei and Kindron.
Rosetta: I bet you're both use to meeting new siblings by now.
Zelpharia takes a long hard swallow from her spiked tea cup.

Kindron studies Rosetta's presence, realizing she was related to
the Zelpharia. The mention of meeting siblings did throw Kindron
off for a moment though as he just assumed at first that Rosetta
was another alternate Tolodora-Darkfire kid like Dufort.
Kindron: Wow... That's not what I was expecting.
Hei: So... The old man and Zeph? Can't say I was ready for that
one. I swear I'm starting to think Zeph has a thing for our
family. How long till we find a kid of her and Kendrix? He says
sarcastically.
Kindron shrugs. Kindron: Well... He goes over and gives Rosetta
a brotherly hug. Welcome to the family. He says cheerfully.
