       In the TARDIS:
Zelpharia: Well I'm glad that we'll be able to help fill in some
gaps. I should warn though that Rosetta is very similar to you
in powers and the fact that she is a Celestian dhampir.
Rosetta's father is a pure blood vampire and has resulted in
unusually strong telepathic powers. She wasn't treated well by
many other Celestians due to their fear of her powers. Top that
with her the fact that she has to concentrate to stop hearing
unshielded thoughts which the combination has made her a bit
slow at warming up to people. Then something clicks in her mind
after remembering how Celestians fear strong telepathic
psychics. She gets a very serious look on her face. Zelpharia:
That also reminds me to warn you of something else. Never ever
under any circumstance, other than most dire, go anywhere near
Celestian Empire controlled space in the center of the universe.
The Celestian Empire fears your kind far more than any other
psychics and will hunt you down if they detect you in their
controlled quadrant. The Celestian Federation in this quadrant
of space is far kinder and more tolerant of your caliber of
telepathic powers. Their fear here though isn't without some
merit even if the Empire's approach is barbaric. Just promise me
the same thing Rose has and promise you won't go anywhere near
the Celestian Empire. Her voice turns to a plea with the last
       sentence.
       In Torchwood:
Ianto: Come now, Franklin. Your mother doesn't drink like that
too often. Ianto says as he walks over to the drink service area
and begins to clean up. Ianto: She drinks like that just often
enough to have an interesting reminder why not to do it again.
He says with a half serious, half smartass tone. Ianto: Like
waking up in bed with two men.. not like she's done anything
       like that.
Franklin: Thank you, Ianto, for that disturbing thought about my
Mom. He calls over his shoulder to Ianto as Rosetta laughs in
understanding, not of Franklin, but of Ianto's smartass remark
at the end. That makes Franklin give Rosetta an odd look and was
about to ask until the sounds of Zelpharia's TARDIS about to
       land begin to be heard.
Rosetta: Sounds like Mom is about to land with Colton and this
Dufort guy. Better hide like you said Jack told you to do. She
says with a smirk and stopping Franklin before he could ask her
what was so funny. It wasn't like she couldn't read Franklin's
mind and know what he was going to say anyways. It was she knew
he wouldn't want to hear the answer.
Franklin: Yeah.. yeah.. I'll be around the corner for right now,
but I wanna know the answer later, sis. Franklin says as he
walks away to hide just around the corner knowing Rosetta just
       sidetracked his unspoken question.
In his office, Captain Jack Harkness stands up as hears the
familiar sound of a TARDIS about to land. He had been fuming
about the note she had left along with the royal appointment
letter but had calmed down by now. As much as he disapproves of
the whole situation, he can't deny that he would do the exact
same thing for Franklin if it had been the case. He was just
more mad that Zelpharia didn't talk to him first and just went
behind his back, leaving a note to explain.. yet once again, he
can't say he wouldn't have done the same. He straightens his
shirt and pants, makes sure his hair is in place, and puts on
his best p*ssed off drill sergeant face.

Dufort: Really? This Rosetta sounds interesting. Honestly, I
just learned to deal with all the stimuli that come in, and I
don't even bother trying to hold back my mind reading power at
this point. The only one I hold back is my telepathic
psychometry power because it's only really necessary at certain
times. He says, holding up his hands and showing that he was
wearing thin transparent gloves by pulling on one slightly to
show it. I wear these gloves to keep that power in check unless
I need it. He says as he lets go and his glove snaps back into
place. As for the Celestians... I got enough crap from them when
my universe's version of you tried to send me off to the
Celestian academy for training in using my Celestian abilities
before I started learning and copying other psychic abilities. I
have no intention of going anywhere near them if I can help it.
So don't worry. Unless something crazy happens and I have to go
there for some reason, I have no intention of ever going to any
Celestian controlled places. I don't have to be psychic to know
I'll never fit in with other Celestians.

Zelpharia: Good. That makes me feel better. The way it sounds.
You and Rosetta have similar feelings about Celestians along
with similar powers. Hopefully you can help her accept her
powers too. She says as the TARDIS lands and the engine slows
       its wheezing to a stop.
Colton: Sub-basement level: alien technology, pterodactyl, and
p*ssed off Boss Man. Colton says with a smart-ass tone as he
walks over and opens the door. He then walks out of the TARDIS.
Zelpharia: Well time to meet your new boss and whoever else is
around the office. She says as she shuts down the engine and
turns to face Dufort. Zelpharia: Ready, Dufort?
Rosetta goes quiet behind her desk as Ianto approaches the open
door and waits to greet Dufort and Zelpharia. He doesn't blink
at Colton who steps out first.

to follow Zelpharia out of the TARDIS.

Zelpharia smiles as she walks up to Dufort and places a hand on
his shoulder. She sees Ianto waiting outside to greet them and
warn her about Jack. Zelpharia: Well then let's go. It's best to
not leave Ianto waiting for too long. Zelpharia then walks
       forward.
Colton walks over to the desk that Rosetta is sitting at, turns
around, and leans against it with a grin. He openly thinks about
something annoyingly absurd just to tease her.
Rosetta: Seriously? You go and help my Mom get an alternate son
out of jail, and the first thing you do when you get back is
annoy my psychic senses with images of dancing bears in tutus
playing accordions while pink elephants hula-hoop. I swear
you're as bad as Vladimir. She says with an annoyed tone while
face palming as she leans forward against the desk.
Colton: I don't need to be psychic to know that you're probably
gonna scan my brain for what little I've learned about the kid.
So I gave you an intermission before my brain decides to play
Texas Hold'em with you. He wryly says without looking back at
Rosetta. He likes to tease Rosetta from time to time but only
because he's come to like the girl and sees her as a little
sister. Colton: How would your maw and River put it? Oh yeah..
       no spoilers, Rosie.
Rosetta then looks up at Colton with an annoyed look of a little
sister who just got called out by an older brother. She had to
admit that she likes him.. mostly because he could take as well
as he dishes out in terms of smart-assery. Rosetta: Okay.. so I
       deserved that colorfully absurd image.
Jack places his hand on the knob of his office door and waits to
hear Ianto, Zelpharia, and Dufort greet each other before
opening it to call Zeph and Dufort in.

Dufort nods and follows Zelpharia as she walks.
As Dufort steps out, Rosetta would likely sense very little from
Dufort in terms of thoughts since Dufort used his training in
Disciplined Mind to keep his thoughts suppressed so that he
could keep his emotions under control. What little she could
sense would be the psychic aura that comes off of him, which
seems to not only read the people around him, but the
environment itself as Dufort was doing little to suppress his
psychic aura. What little of his thoughts Rosetta would be able
to sense would likely be his curiosity about the group as he
walked out. Though there would be something ominous about
Dufort, as his cold and emotionless nature would be almost like
a cold breeze coming off him that only psychics would be able to
sense. Given Dufort's power and his seemingly cold nature, most
people with his kind of nature would be evil, though luckily
Dufort has had good guidance from his family, and the Crow
Mercenaries, so he had managed to mostly stay good, despite him
honestly sensing more like a villain in a lot of aspects.

Rosetta shifts her attention from Colton completely to Dufort as
he and Zelpharia walk off the TARDIS. Rosetta: I don't think
we'll be playing mental jumping jacks, Colt. She says as an
eyebrow goes up. She's not disturbed by how Dufort senses more
like a villain with his cold, emotionless state. Instead, she
completely fascinated by the fact that he's actually at a level
of control and comfort in his psychic abilities that she's not.
Her psychic senses are lit up as she takes in what she can learn
about Dufort. Dufort would pick up on Rosetta's fascination with
him. He would also sense how her powers are less refined but
still honed fairly well with plenty of room for improvement. Her
thoughts are well guarded though her emotions are a bit less
controlled. Her powers don't sense too different from Dufort in
terms of psychic powers. Most would typically sense her as
emotionally indifferent but Rosetta isn't hiding her curiosity
this time.. and for once not suppressing her abilities. Dufort
would also pick up on Rosetta's Darkfire lineage as well,
something Rosetta hasn't learned about yet.
Ianto is quick to greet Zelpharia and Dufort as they walk out of
the TARDIS. He doesn't stop them as Zelpharia walks them towards
Jack's office. Ianto: Ah you're finally back, Zelpharia. Glad
that you are too. He then looks to Dufort with a friendly smile.
Dufort will pick up that Ianto is genuinely interested in Dufort
in terms of being an alternate. Dufort will also pick up that
Ianto also isn't from this universe and hopes to one day find
others from his in order to find out if it's been conquered..
but not by the Order but something else mechanical. Ianto: And
this must be our newest agent. I am Ianto Jones. Secretary, part
time personal assistant, and Torchwood archivist..
Jack hears his cue as Ianto begins to greet Zelpharia and
Dufort. He opens the door to his office as p*ssed off as he can
pretend to be at this point and steps partially out. This makes
Zelpharia and Ianto pause in their tracks. Jack: Basically he
cleans, makes coffee, tells us important information, and makes
sure we get to places on time. Introductions can wait.
Zelpharia.. New Guy.. my office NOW! Though Jack is going off
like an angry drill sergeant, Dufort can easily tell that Jack
isn't actually as angry as he sounds and is actually more
disappointed at Zelpharia keeping him in the dark. Jack steps
back in his office after yelling at Zelpharia and Dufort.
Zelpharia: So he's that mad, huh?
Ianto: Has been for the last five minutes.
Zelpharia: Ianto, I want you to take him someplace nice tonight.
Ianto: Well I really don't have the funds for h... Ianto makes
       his usual helpless face.
Zelpharia: I'll give you £120. She says as she reaches in her
pocket, pulls out the money, and hands it to Ianto.
Ianto: I'll take to his favorite. Ianto takes the money and puts
it in his pocket as he goes back to straightening up.
Zelpharia: Thank you, lovey. She turns her attention to Dufort.
Zelpharia: Jack isn't normally like this. He's actually quite
nice once you get to know him. Shall we? She'll then continue
walking with Dufort to Jack's office after he replies.

Dufort took a moment to study Rosetta. He could sense she was a
Darkfire. A strange thought would go through Dufort's head that
Rosetta would be able to sense, in which Dufort seems to think
of her being close to how he used to be before Wykoth trained
       him in his world.
Dufort was going to introduce himself to Ianto, but stops as
Jack comes out. In response to Zelpharia, Dufort just shrugs.
Dufort: I don't really have much of a choice unless I feel like
going back to jail. He says sarcastically as he follows
       Zelpharia into Jack's office.

Rosetta actually gets surprised at Dufort's thought about her.
She always figured that she had a decent handle on her
abilities. Another thing that surprised her was Wykoth, but that
clued her in that Dufort must be an alternate. Zelpharia would
never allow this universe Wykoth near her kids regardless of the
truce between them. Rosetta raises an eyebrow and gets a curious
smile. Rosetta: I definitely want to talk to him. 10 to 1 that
he's my new psychic training buddy. She says to Colton as she
       watches Zelpharia and Dufort.
Colton: Normally I'd say it's a bet, but this gambler knows when
to walk away too. He says with grin as he takes his hat off
allowing his nearly floor length black hair to unwind and fall
down, still in a ponytail. He then tosses it at a hat hook and
       lands it perfectly.
Dufort will sense the hidden presence of Franklin who is
obviously bored while waiting. Franklin would also sense as a
half Celestian and half human with strong distortion energy
about him and definitely a Tolodora. The only thoughts that
Franklin is having is a curiosity about Dufort and whether he
can hit Rosetta with a paper ball from where he's hiding just
       out of view.
Jack takes a seat in his chair and spins it to look at the door
as his desk sits against a wall with a window facing the main
workspace. When it comes to sensing Jack, the one odd thing that
would jump out strongest is the temporal distortion energy that
makes Jack a temporal anomaly. Jack is calmer the more he thinks
about the situation, but he hopes that both Zelpharia and Dufort
       have explanations.
Zelpharia softly laughs at Dufort's sarcastic comment as they
walk up a short set of stairs to the office door. Zelpharia:
Well you definitely won't have to worry about that anymore. Now
you'll just have to adjust to a motley crew of a work family.
She then gets more serious and takes a breath just outside of
the door. Zelpharia: Hopefully five minutes is a good cool down.

Dufort follows Zelpharia, making small mental notes about the
people he senses around him. He doesn't seem to show too much
interest, but does take note of Rosetta and Franklin's
presences. Though he does also note Jack sensing as a time
anomaly. The Wykoth in Dufort's world never got Dufort too deep
into time lord business, so Dufort didn't know as much about
time lords and time traveling people as he wanted to (which
meant that he was mostly figuring out stuff about Zelpharia as a
time lord while being around her and others that he was watching
       and learning more about).
Once they reach the door, Dufort just grabs the door and opens
it, ready to go in even though Zelpharia had stopped to take a
breath. Dufort: Let's just get this over with. No sense in
trying to delay it. He says before walking in to the office.
