Cities of the Scarlet World
~North America:
- DC City: This is the city where Washington DC used to be (And
the location of what city the community is based in). In
addition to it's expansions, this is a good size city that is
the size of a small state. Though not the biggest city in the
US, it is the most populated city in the US. This city has more
people per square inch than almost any other city in the US.
Most know the stories of this city, as it's the city where the
most action takes place. The town is perhaps the most organized
with it's police force, military and wall guards due to the
conflicts that plague the city constantly. Because of it's heavy
focus on science, it is the most advanced city in North America.
- Rocky Mountain City (Sometimes called Denver City): This is a
large city in Colorado. Sometimes referred to as Denver City,
this city is a larger city than DC, but it's mountains make
inhabiting the area more difficult. While it has about the same
number of people, they have more space because of how the
mountains are set up. This city is run by Black Sun, until
recently by Wei Zhijin, who left it with other Black Sun members
to join Castle Darkfire. This town has the mountains as a
natural defense, in which the scarlet mist monsters have a hard
time making it through these mountains to try and reach the
city. Though this doesn't mean the city doesn't have a varanium
wall of it's own which also has it's own shield. This town has a
mass of wealth under the ground and within the mountains, as the
caves and mines under the city have high levels of rare metals
like varanium and escamite created through the Scarlet Mist's
mutations. This town deals mostly in exports, as it is one of
the biggest varanium suppliers in the world next to Darkfire
City in Japan. Black Sun runs the city, from the military,
police and wall patrol. Thanks to this, Black Sun defends the
city from anything that might threaten it. The town mostly lives
in peace, as no one opposes Black Sun's rule since they are kept
safe and they only operate to keep the peace.
- Canada City: This city is north in Canada, located almost in
the middle of Canada, and is currently the biggest city in North
America. This is a cold city, and even though the air outside is
kept out, the air is still cold, and most of the Canadians live
in a very icey city. This city is based around ice, and thanks
to that, it's main export is water. It may sound strange, but
good water became hard to come by with the Scarlet Mist making
access to lakes and oceans difficult and the nuclear fallout
contaminating many bodies of water. Canada does a lot of
exporting of water, using the ice to their advantage. Thanks to
the cold tempertures, most of the Mist Monsters in Canada are
frozen. With the sun blocked by the Scarlet Mist, there is no
sunlight, and without it, the temperature stays extremely low,
the high usually being -20 degrees. They don't need a strong
wall or shield, but have one anyway, since they live close to
the corrupted lands, one of the areas where Galian had corrupted
the lands back in the wars of London during the time he was on
earth. Because of this, they live in a dangerous zone, as many
Stage 5 mist monsters reside in that zone. Though they rarely
ever leave, the town is always on edge, keeping tabs on every
monster in the region. This city is run by it's own government,
with it's own setup when it comes to police, military and wall
patrol.
- Mexico City: This city is as big as Rocky Mountain City, and a
bit more level than it, meaning it can have a higher population.
This city is quite large, and a highly industrious city. This is
mostly inhabited by Spanish people, who live pretty peacefully.
Not many people are too familiar with this city, as it is a
mysterious city. They don't do a lot of exports, or a lot of
imports. It is believed they have a strong military, a strong
police and a strong wall patrol, but no one knows much about
them other than that.
- Castle Ravenloft: This is one of the castles of the Dark
Dimension that appeared outside of DC City. After it was
separated from the Dark Dimension, it became the only town on
earth that pushes back the mist, and is the only town on earth
that gets sunlight currently. As such, demand to move to this
town has skyrocketed to many who want to see the sky again. This
makes Castle Ravenloft a pretty nice place for stargazers who
want to see the sky. The people are pretty nice, and the town is
helped out by DC City. This is one of the only places that can
grow plants naturally, and is the only town that doesn't need a
wall or shield because of the Castle's ability to purify the
Mist and any monsters that make it into this mist are usually
turned human again. As such, many mist monsters learned to avoid
this area, so not many mist monsters wander the Scarlet Lands
around this area.
- Castle Darkfire: A new mysterious town that recently appeared,
run by Hei Darkfire. This town is a town of darkness, one where
those who go to live often find themselves mutated into
monsters. The town has the Dark Fog running through it, which
mutates those who spend too long within it's grounds. The town
is a place where only the strong thrive, and the weak are killed
or captured so their powers can be taken by others. This town is
one to avoid, as it is based around capturing people and binding
them to the town so they can never leave. This town doesn't
interact with other towns at all, and even the Scarlet Mist
monsters are afraid to go near this town as they are almost
always brutally slaughtered by the townspeople.
~ South America:
- Santiago City: This is the town that makes up the remaining
residents of the countries of Chile, Boliva, Argentina and
Paraguay. This town is close enough that it is one of the few
towns that can access the coastline to get the ocean water.
However, this proves dangerous due to contamination by the
nuclear fallout. This town is a pretty standard city, not having
much to call unique about them. This is another Spanish city,
where most of the people there speak Spanish.
- Lima City: This city has residents from Peru, Colombia,
Venezuala and Brazil. This town is a mix of Spanish and
Portugese natives, and is a pretty close knit city. In this
city, mostly everyone views each other as family, and everyone
tends to get along, whether they're human, vampire or anything
else. They only care about one thing, and that's making sure the
peace is kept. Even the supernaturals like werewolves and
vampires who live here live pretty peacefully and try to avoid
killing humans when possible. This is perhaps the most peaceful
city in South America, as the groups working together don't care
what people are, and are pretty friendly to everyone who shows
up in their city.
- Brazil City: This is the biggest city in the Americas, and is
a very large city that is the size of a small country due to how
vastly populated it is. However, the downside to this city is
that it has so many rivers that mist monsters use the underwater
currents to make it into the city. The city has water
purification plants, which the water runs through. The fish and
other creatures are filtered and usually cast into another river
leaving the town, as things like piranhas, anacondas and other
deadly creatures can sometimes also come into the town. Thanks
to this, the town is usually on edge, watching for anything
deadly from mist monsters to large snakes. Due to mutations in
the local species, there are some snakes that are large enough
to wrap around a semi and crush it, which means that this town
has to have high level security in order to keep up with not
just the wildlife, but the mist monsters who sneak into the city
as well. This is a good city to live as the people usually are
friendly, but a dangerous one. Most people have special defenses
in their houses, which they have special mechanical barriers
which come over the walls, windows and doors at night, reducing
the risk of nightly attack. Because of it's problematic
wildlife, there is no night in this town's environmental system,
and it is always bright out so that the security can see what
they're doing.
~ Europe:
- London City: This city is perhaps the least populated city in
the world besides Paris. England was the source of the Scarlet
Mist and was heavily devastated by it, more so than any other
country. When London City was made, there was barely anyone
living in the city. As time went on, the city began to become
more populated, though it's still got a lot more space than
people. Because of that, the town doesn't have a lot going on
anymore, and is protected by the Hellsing Organization, who act
as the military, police and wall patrol. The Hellsing
Organization is headed currently by Akiba Hellsing, who became
head after the death of Integra Hellsing. Akiba is often helped
by an alternate Integra, who acts as the second in command.
- Paris: This is perhaps the least populated town in the world.
This town had constant issues when it was built, as the people
couldn't seem to defend themselves from the mist monsters while
the walls were under construction. As such, many of the
inhabitants died during the battle before help arrived. This
town is scarcely populated, but the few people that do live here
have been working to try and repopulate the city as much as they
can. As such, this city has a lot of space, and has a lot of
space for farmland and greenhouse districts. As such, they
specialize mostly in plants and vegetation, growing food and
other things they ship to other countries. This town also has
the lightest defenses due to not having too many people.
- Vatican City: This town is normally run by Nightbane and Kira
Darkfire, who run the Vatican after the London wars. This town
is currently the largest in the world, with it covering most of
Italy and expanding into neighboring countries. This town has
four walls currently due to expansions, and is currently working
on their fifth. Thanks to the town's filtering systems and
methods for building walls, they have easily expanded, and the
city grows quite fairly for it's expansions. This city has a lot
of space for science and development, religious temples and
churches, and plenty of places to grow food. While not the most
peaceful town, it is a town that is mostly full of religious
people, mostly catholics. This town exports scientific
discoveries, grown food, and is one of the few places able to
breed animals to send to other towns for either meat or produce.
- Iceland City: This town is home to the Space Patrol Delta, and
has become a hotspot for aliens who have been seeking asylum in
a world that is mostly untouched by wars in space due to it
being isolated by the Scarlet Mist. As such, this town is a mix
of aliens, humans and supernaturals, though the aliens outnumber
humans and supernaturals. This town is almost the size of the
entire island, not leaving room for expansion, but makes it a
pretty big city. This town is normally run by SPD, and run by
Doggie Cruger who runs SPD. SPD works closely with Hellsing, and
the two often help each other when needed, leading to both
organizations being pretty good friends. This town is pretty
well defended, thanks to the SPD Power Rangers who protect it
from high level threats.
- Transylvania City: This city is run by a vampire clan known
as the Alucard Family, headed by Rachel Alucard. After she
arrived in London, she restarted her Alucard Family after the
battles in London ended. When the Mist came, she had already
mostly finished building a wall around the main part of the
country. Thanks to her ability to see the future, she had
already planned on the Mist being released, and was one of the
few countries who took the initiative to prepare. In this town,
the city is run by the Alucard Family, with the humans in the
town rarely having to do anything. The humans only do one thing,
and that's donate blood to sustain the Alucard Family vampires.
In return, the Alucard Family protects the humans and does most
of the work for them. This is a pretty nice place for humans as
long as one doesn't mind a weekly donation at the local blood
banks. Though it's not a rule, it's mostly just implied and
something the humans do out of respect for the Alucard Family.
This is a pretty peaceful town, with not many wanting to make
trouble with the Alucard Family who are pretty numerous in this
town.
~ Africa:
- There are currently no known cities in Africa, though a few
are suspected to exist. It is suspected there may be one near
Cairo, and possibly one in Somalia, but no one has been able to
confirm. If the towns exist, they have stealth tech equipped to
stay hidden.
~ Asia
- New Moscow City: This is the town Russia built in the middle
of the country. Though nowhere near where Moscow used to be,
much of Moscow was destroyed by the mist monsters and the
devastation by the nuclear fallout. Thanks to this, the area was
built a large city and named New Moscow. This is a Russian city,
and a very cold one at that. Thanks to the Scarlet mist blocking
the sun, this area is in a perpetual state of winter, making it
another cold city. This town is quite large, and houses the
population of a small country, being the biggest city in Asia.
This town isn't known for anything in particular, being known as
one of the "Winter Cities" due to it's constant cold
temperature.
- Beijing City: This town is based in China, with what's left of
China's population being housed here. This town is pretty
heavily populated, with it being difficult to survive in such
close quarters. However, with help from Vatican City, they have
begun expanding and started building a second wall which is
still under construction. This is perhaps one of the only towns
in Asia that can expand. This town is run by Black Sun, being
another town that is under their influence. As such, the town is
protected and run by Black Sun.
- Darkfire City: This is one of the towns in Japan, run by the
Darkfire and Hazeldine Clans. With them working together, this
city became a technological marvel with the Darkfire's
scientific knowledge and the Hazeldines knowledge of dark magic.
Thanks to this, the two clans worked together to develop a magic
based techology that works similarly to the current tech, but
runs on dark magic thanks to the powerful vampires that live in
the city. This city is currently the most advanced, with not
only being the best city for technology, but also a place of
unity for humans and supernaturals. The Darkfires developed an
artificial blood to sustain vampires, so that they don't need to
drink the blood of vampires. Though not all the cities of the
world have bought into this blood yet, this is one of their main
exports to some countries who have a high population of
supernaturals, specifically werewolves and vampires.
- Neo Tokyo City: This town is built as another town that is run
by the Darkfires and Hazeldines. However, this town has a lot
less of the clans and is run more by the humans, with many
supernatural groups also living here. Among the Darkfires and
Hazeldine, they also have the Darkwolf Clan and Shadowwolf Clan
of the werewolf alchemists living there as well with the towns
massive forest area. As such, the town council consists
Darkfires, Hazeldine, Darkwolf and Shadowwolf members, as well
as some humans. The groups all work together for the benefit of
the city, working on trying to expand the city wherever possible
and help make new exports for the city to thrive on. Currently,
they are at the same tech level as Darkfire City, who have
shared their tech with them. Currently, Neo Tokyo and Darkfire
City are working together to try and build an easier way to put
shields on cities and in areas with nuclear fallout to contain
said areas. However, this research is ongoing.
~ Space Colonies:
Space Colony Olympus: This was an attempt to move as many people
to space as possible which resulted in humans and other
supernaturals working together to try and build space colonies.
This was one of two successful attempts, with this being the one
that still lies in orbit. Named after Mount Olympus, it was
believed this would "open the realm to the heavens" as this was
designed to be a way for humans to colonize space. However,
aside from the novelty of being in space, it wasn't too
different from a normal city, and required far more in terms of
life support and gravity systems to keep the station going. As
such, this colony is mostly just another town that sits in
orbit, within the Earth Defense Shield to protect it. For the
most part, humans, supernaturals and other creatures are too
afraid to fight while in this colony, as many of them feel that
fighting in the wrong spots could cause damage to the colony.
After the other space colony, Space Colony Eurasia, crashed due
to a computer virus entity taking over their systems and nearly
crashing it into DC City, the inhabitants of Olympus never want
to risk the same happening to them. As they are in space, they
usually act as relies for communication between other cities,
setting up a new global information network that is still in
development.
