Franklin fires off another photon energy arrow after his first
burns a hole through the chest plate of the Cyber Man he had
first attacked and fries out the power circuits. He calls out to
Kendrix as he quickly fires a second one. Franklin: Strong
enough lightning that reaches steel's melting point is enough to
melt a Cyber Man. They're basically made of steel and tin alloys
and haven't seen one made of stronger metal yet. Franklin's two
arrows take out another two Cyber Men. Franklin: So your crimson
lightning obviously is able to reach extremely hot temperatures
which is not surprising for someone of your unique capabilities,
Ken.
Zelpharia slashes the head off another Cyber Man as she listens
to Kendra. Zelpharia: I understand, dear. These cybernetic
robots use to be living flesh beings who were forcefully changed
and their brains reprogrammed. The only flesh left in the Cyber
Men is their brains which are nothing more than CPUs at this
point. Zelpharia says to Kendra as she surveys what is left and
considers how clean up will proceed as Kendrix, Malcolm,
Franklin, Colton, and Jack manage to take out the last 11.
Zelpharia: So think of it more as a mercy killing as reversing
the reprogramming on the brain has horrific consequences for the
victims.
Kendrix's crimson lightning takes out another three. Malcolm's
taser arrow manages to chain affect off three with one exploding
from power overload. Jack blasts the head off one with his laser
pistol while Colton pulls the trigger to switch his
techno-wizard pistol to hellfire blast. Colton then fires off
two hellfire blasts which take out the last two Cyber Men.
Gwen relaxes and puts up her pistol back in her holster. Gwen:
Thank God that's over with. She says in relief.
Tara's holographic image steps to her open door and speaks just
loud enough for to hear. Tara: "Mr. Merlyn, I would recommend
staying close to me so you remain within my shielding because
I'm about to deliver some upsetting news to Zelpharia. At least
3 feet near me has you safe."

Kendra just stays silent at Zeph's comment. Part of her
swordsman's code was that she never tried to justify killing, as
she always saw it as an act that was not something to take
lightly, or try to downplay. It definitely made her a lot
different from how her mother and father would never hesitate to
kill their enemies.
Once the group was gone, Kendrix goes over to the group, trying
to stay close to Zelpharia since he didn't know anyone else that
well (besides Malcolm). Though when Kendrix does think about
Malcolm, he looks over and was curious. Kendrix: Wait... Why are
there two Malcolm Merlyns? Did I get hit in the head or
something? He says sarcastically.
Malcolm just goes over to Tara's holographic image, not wanting
to risk whatever was about to happen.

Zelpharia: Oh you're definitely seeing double and a rare
phenomenon, Kendrix. She then points to Jack. Zelpharia: The one
that's dressed like he belongs in the 1940s is Captain Jack
Harkness and happens to be the 51st century reincarnation of
Malcolm Merlyn from Malcolm's family tree.
Jack hears Kendrix's sarcastic question and is quick to look to
Colton and Gwen. He didn't want the two around for certain
information that may come up. At this distance, both Kendrix and
Kendra should be able to sense Jack as a time anomaly along with
his relation to both Malcolm and Franklin. Jack knows the
Darkfire family reputation along with Kendrix's bluntness
because Kendrix and Kendra would also sense the relation between
Franklin and Zelpharia though they don't physically look like
mother and son. Jack: Colton.. Gwen.. go back to Torchwood and
check with Ianto on the status of other teams.
Colton: Kinda need ol' Frank to.. Colton begins to say until
Franklin raises his left hand glowing with distortion energy and
opens a distortion portal to Torchwood.
Gwen walks over to Colton and pats him on the shoulder. Gwen:
Looks Franklin just that much ahead of you, Colt. She then walks
through the portal followed by Colton shaking his head.
Franklin drops the portal after both Colton and Gwen are through
closing it behind them. Franklin: That explains why I sense
Malcolm as family and a previous incarnation of dad. He then
looks to Kendrix. Franklin: Not too uncommon for time travelers
to meet their previous incarnations. Unlike meeting two temporal
anomalies like you and your sister which alternate timeline
people like yourself are usually erased after such a huge
butterfly effect. That indicates that you two either were born
already exposed to time-space energies, born of a time-space
distortion user, or exposed to raw vortex energies when time
traveling because your devices didn't provide strong protection
just the bare minimum. Franklin says with some sarcasm of his
own.

Kendra: Interesting. Lucky for Kendrix and me, we're not
actually the same person, even if we consider each other time
alternates of each other. Or that would be really awkward. She
says jokingly.
Kendrix resists the urge to bring up what happened at the circus
where he met his shorter future incarnation, mostly because his
future self told him that to preserve the timeline, he couldn't
tell anyone about his experiences there in order to preserve the
timelines when others like Exiles Kendrix made it there.
Malcolm listens to everyone, then looks over to Tara. Malcolm:
So... You said you had news. He says to Tara's hologram, bored
of the time travel conversation.

Franklin raises an eyebrow to Kendra as she jokes but
understands what she means. Franklin: Yeah, that would be
awkward, but not as awkward as actually talking to the reason
why I'm finishing up a five year suspension from the Time
Agency. Franklin says to Kendra as he nods towards Kendrix as
the reason for Franklin's suspension.
Tara's holographic face has a worried look as she glances to
Malcolm. Tara: I believe I know who might have contributed to
the Cyber Men's advancement in transdimensional travel
technology thanks to my scans. Portal energy signature of the
Cyber Men's technology very closely matches that of the
Interdimensional Order. Zelpharia may lose her temper upon
hearing this.. once I've found my nerve to speak up and tell
her. Tara says quietly to Malcolm as Kendrix and Kendra
currently have some a bit distracted.. except for Jack.
Jack can see Tara's holographic facial expression from the
corner of his eye as he puts his laser pistol away in its
holster. He figures that her worry might have something to do
with her scan results. He decides to keep to himself for the
moment and walk towards Zelpharia. Instead Jack makes a comment
after Franklin finishes talking.Jack: That's right. Your
decision on the Kendrix Wave Case got you in deep with the top
brass. Just proves you're as level headed as I am and know when
following orders is wrong. Jack says with a proud grin as he
takes a spot next to Zelpharia.
Zelpharia: Or proves that our son is like his ancestor,
Great-Great-Great Grandpa Malcolm, and did it to protect his
family. Zelpharia says sarcastic humor though a bit serious.

Kendrix: Wait... What the hell did I do? I haven't met you
before. He says as he looks to them as its implied he's
responsible for Franklin's suspension.
Malcolm: Huh... Well, we should probably tell her. He says
before turning to Zelpharia without hesitation. So... Your AI
says that the portal signatures was similar to the
Interdimensional Order. I assume that means that either they
copied their tech or gave them some tech. He says to Zeph not
hesitating to give her the news.

Franklin gives Kendrix a drill sergeant's serious look.
Franklin: You came back in time and messed with a fixed point in
time causing a major tsunami like ripple effect. Also known by
the agency as the Kendrix Time Wave Effect or simply the Kendrix
Effect. Franklin says as he adjusts his stance to match his
seriousness. Franklin: The Time Agency is tasked with fixing
such changes usually by eliminating the cause. I chose to not
assassinate you at the very moment you arrived in the past
because my powers told me that it would make things worse on a
end of all time scale. That decision to let you live got me
suspended, Mr. Darkfire.
Tara's holographic form ducks behind Malcolm as he blunts calls
out. Her holographic form is solid while within a couple of feet
of her true ship body so Malcolm can feel her trembling hand as
she gently slaps his back. Tara: You, sir, are as tactful as a
Klingon in delicate situations.
Zelpharia was going to comment on how Franklin shouldn't be so
forward about the orders he went against until she hears
Malcolm. If Zelpharia was a vampire or a demon, then her eyes
would be glowing with anger from what she just heard Malcolm.
Cyber Men alone anger Zelpharia after past invasion attempts
that costed the lives of friends and fellow Torchwood agents but
hearing that the Cyber Men's sudden advancement in
transdimensional travel technology could be because of the
Interdimensional Order pushes anger to outright rage. Distortion
lightning sparks over her body as she turns a bit towards
Malcolm. Zelpharia: Before I really lose my temper and possibly
try to throttle someone, did you just say the portal energies
are similar to the Interdimensional Order, dear Malcolm? A small
bolt of distortion lightning comes off Zelpharia and zaps a
disabled Cyber Man replicator symbiote out of existence.
Jack: Not sure how resistant you might be to distortion
lightning so I hope you don't mind if I just step over here, Ms.
Darkfire. Jack says to Kendra as he backs his way towards Kendra
and places himself between her and Zelpharia, knowing that he's
resistant to her distortion lightning. He then speaks in a
soothing voice. Jack: Watch your temper, Zeph. You're getting a
bit sparky and know what happens if you spark too much.

Before Kendrix could make a comment about how many things he saw
wrong with Franklin's statement and having at least 3 different
questions he wanted to ask, he notices Malcolm mentioning the
news. He turns to Malcolm as he sees Zeph light up with
lightning. Kendrix: Welp. Been nice knowing ya, dude... Well...
Not really. You were kind of a d*ck. He says sarcastically to
Malcolm.
Malcolm: There's no sense dancing around the information.
Malcolm says to Tara before turning back to Zelpharia, and just
crosses his arms. Malcolm: Don't get mad at me. I'm just passing
the message... Instead, why don't you focus that anger and
figure out what we can do about it? He says to Zelpharia, not
hesitating to speak his mind.
Kendra chuckles at Jack's comment. Kendra: Yeah... I'm probably
not anymore immune than you are. I'm not as skilled with
distortion as others in this group.

A bolt of distortion lightning flies off Zelpharia and strikes
the decapitated body of a Cyber Man near Kendrix making it
disappear from existence. Zelpharia takes a breath as both Jack
and Malcolm talk reason to her. Zelpharia: I'm not mad at
Malcolm and definitely won't hurt an ancestor of my husband and
son, Kendrix. Malcolm is basically my in-law. She responds to
Kendrix's comment to Malcolm. She focuses on Malcolm and takes
another calming breath. Zelpharia: I definitely plan to focus on
how to solve this new issue even if I just want to erase the
Interdimensional Order from the whole of existence. This new
development only reinforces my idea of creating universe ending
antimatter bombs for the Cyber Men's universes. The distortion
lightning begins to calm down and become nothing more than
static, but people like Kendrix and Kendra would be able to
sense that just the small display had physical repercussions on
Zelpharia.
Franklin: Don't you think that antimatter bombs that powerful is
going a little far, Mom? Franklin says as he pushes a button
that deactivates his photon bow and puts it away. He then pulls
out a flask full of Talian rejuvenation water and takes a sip
Tara relaxes a bit though her solid holographic form noticeably
flinches when the distortion lightning hits the decapitated body
of a Cyber Man. She almost buries her head against Malcolm's
back. Tara: Being too blunt tends to cause stronger negative
results sometimes. She says softly from behind Malcolm.
Jack gives Kendra a quick, charming smile. Jack: You're
definitely not as immune to staying dead as I am. Also better
for a gentleman to protect a lady than leaving her open to harm.
He then focuses back on the conversation but visibly relaxes as
Zelpharia begins to relax.

Kendrix: Damn... I was kinda hoping you would. If father won't,
I was hoping you would. He says sarcastically when Zeph says
she's not gonna kill him.
Malcolm: I do what's efficient. I don't usually have the luxury
of subtlety. He says to Tara.
Kendra just smiles at Jack's comment. Kendra: Yeah... You don't
have to worry about me. It's sweet, but I'm over ten thousand
years old. It may not be a power I can use, but I can hold my
own.
