Jack: My wife, stepdaughter, and boyfriend call me ruthless when
I go into that mode. My stepson is just a sadistic, ruthless
bastard that can make you and I look like saints so him calling
me ruthless is more like a joke than meaning it. My son, Frank,
though. He's more like you from the sounds of things than being
like me or Zeph. He's done things that have made me call him
ruthless. I guess that's what happens with the men in our family
when they see how cold and ruthless life can really be at times.
Jack gets an ironic smile on his face as he thinks about
Franklin and the similarities in personalities among Malcolm,
Franklin, and himself. Jack and Franklin both have military
training including special ops and assassination and have both
had to put those skills to use many times both in the military
and as Time Agents. Jack and Franklin both care about loved ones
first whenever lives needed to be saved and considered the
universe second afterwards unlike Malcolm because of their
experiences. Both have lost loved ones in some kind of
conquering alien attacks, Jack losing his father and younger
brother while Franklin lost his first fiancé. Jack wonders what
may have caused Malcolm to become that way though.
Zelpharia finds the bomb quickly and grabs it. She then hurries
back to the main command room just in time to hear Jack talk
about Franklin and his ruthlessness to Malcolm. She smiles a bit
and sighs. Zelpharia: That's what happens when you're military
trained assassins and seen things others don't. Ruthless isn't a
bad thing when done for a justified cause in my opinion and
that's only because Jack's meaner side has saved our asses more
times than I can count. Besides Jack has seen me top you, him,
and our son, Frank, when it comes to being ruthless back in my
first incarnation. Not that I'm trying to compare myself to you
two because I'm not normally ruthless. She says to Malcolm with
a smile as she walks over to the two men while holding up the
antimatter bomb. The bomb is just a bit smaller than a golf
ball, completely round with what appears to be a single light on
top, and casing made from a silver colored metal. Zelpharia
pulls on the bomb to reveal a center core with several colored
buttons. She taps on several buttons in order to set it to
explode once Malcolm's arrow hits maximum distance calculated by
Zelpharia and then closes the bomb before handing it to Malcolm.

Malcolm: Your son sounds quite interesting. He says to Jack. I
almost want to meet the kid. After hearing about Zeph saying
she's been more ruthless than them in her first incarnation, he
leans over to Jack. I see why you like her so much. He whispers
jokingly to Jack.

Malcolm's comment about Frank makes Jack smile, but the comment
about Zelpharia makes Jack laugh a bit and grin broadly. Jack:
And that's only one reason why I like her so much. He whispers
back to Malcolm.
Zelpharia raises an eyebrow as she watches the two men whisper
to each other and shakes her head realizing that it must be
about her or Frank by the grin on Jack's face. Zelpharia: I hope
whatever is being said is something good. She then walks to
Malcolm with a smile and hands him the small antimatter bomb.
Zelpharia: Now if my calculations are correct when I programmed
this, it should explode once the arrow makes it to its maximum
distance. I made sure that my TARDIS landed close enough to
hopefully allow for maximum distance to be reach after the arrow
goes through the portal.
Meanwhile outside of the TARDIS, Colton bangs on the door while
firing on Cyber Men. Colton: Come on! Frank is starting to lose
his hold on the portal size and getting outnumbered! He yells
through the door. He's not sure if they can hear him yelling
(which they would barely hear) but hopes his police style
knocking is heard (which definitely would be heard inside).
Tara, the TARDIS, begins firing her defense lasers at the Cyber
Men as they begin to file through the portal in sets of three
instead of single file that Franklin has been trying to keep the
portal size at.
Franklin: Zeph is probably looking for the antimatter bomb so
give her a break! Franklin yells at Colton as he strains to keep
the Cyber Men dimensional portal small. He calls Zelpharia by
her first name instead of calling her Mom since she and Franklin
don't share physical features to identify them as mother and son
since her transformation and Torchwood has a strict (though
rarely followed) rule against relationships between agents.
Colton: We could still use your paw while she looks! And where
the hell did Gwen go?!
Gwen peaks around from behind the TARDIS as she continues to
reload her clip. Gwen: I'm back here and still reloading! Zeph's
TARDIS just happened to land just right to give me cover while I
reload!

Though he could barely hear the commotion, Malcolm realized the
time for jokes was done and gets out an arrow he could attach
the bomb to. He takes the bomb and attaches it to his arrow as
he gets his bow ready. Malcolm: Alright. I'm ready when you guys
are. It sounds like your friends are needing some extra help.
Just take me to where I need to fire it and I'll fire it.

(Yeah, this is a moment when they could use him. And thanks for
the saying what I was thinking after I wrote my last reply. I
laughed at the coincidental shared thought. XD)
Jack doesn't need anymore coaxing to open the door after Malcolm
says that he's ready. He's definitely impressed by how quick
Malcolm was at securing the bomb and glad that Malcolm isn't a
show off like Colton. Jack walks over to the door while pulling
his Webley revolver and opens the door. Outside, Colton can be
seen firing off six rapid fire rounds from his Colt Peacemaker
at six of the 18 Cyber Men with more coming through. Franklin is
off to the right of and slightly behind Colton where he's
visibly straining to maintain size control over the technology
created dimensional portal. Golden distortion energy glows
intensely around Franklin's hands and in his eyes. Several shots
can be heard coming from a standard British police officer's
pistol along side of the TARDIS. Luckily the fight is in a wide
open farm field a few miles outside of the nearby town. Jack:
Zeph, I definitely want that vacation on Venisia after this. No
straight to the lab. Vacation first. Jack quickly says with
seriousness back to Zelpharia as he raises his gun and walks out
firing. Once out the door, Jack barks out an order to Franklin
when he sees how much Franklin is straining. Jack: Drop the hold
on the portal and do your double time bubble technique, Frank!
It'll be easier and less strain!
Franklin: That's easy for you to bark out, Pops! Franklin barks
back in frustrated strain but does as ordered. Franklin drops
his hold over the dimensional portal which quickly opens large
enough to let a tank through and reveals a Cyber Men army on the
other side of nearly 400 Cyber Men and a portable cyberization
machine. Behind the army glowing with dimensional energy is a
large transdimensional portal generator with an energy beam
emitting from it which is creating the portal. Franklin is quick
to create a double bubble of warped time, one bubble of normal
time around the Torchwood team, Malcolm, and the TARDIS and
another much larger bubble of slow time covering a 200 yard
radius which reduces the speed of time within the bubble by 99%,
slowing the Cyber Men way down though they already move half as
fast as the average man. Franklin is showing signs of strain but
not as badly as before. Franklin: Whoever is launching the main
attack needs to do it quickly because I don't think I can hold
this longer than five minutes!
Zelpharia: I don't think I'll argue that one. She says quickly
to Jack just before he starts calling out to Franklin.
Zelpharia: Tara, scan and record the energy signals from the
portal. This one looks much stronger than the other recent
openings. Zelpharia says to her ship as she draws Tomasic who
leaps to life with black, green, red, and golden flames of
samsara (life, death, and rebirth) energies.
Tara: On it, Zeph.
Zelpharia looks to Malcolm. Zelpharia: Just focus on aiming
since Franklin is causing a time warp. We'll keep you covered in
case Franklin is wrong about how long he can maintain the time
warp. Zelpharia then walks out the door and towards the fight.
She points Tomasic in the direction of Cyber Men and wills him
to release a blast of dark fire imbued with death-force energy
at a Cyber Man.

Malcolm stays at the door once Zelpharia goes out, and gets
ready. He first makes sure that there was no one trying to
attack him, and aims his bow as he gets ready to fire the arrow
at the dimensional portal.

Colton relaxes, pops open six Peacemaker, and unloads the empty
shells as his bullets slow down in the Slow Speed Bubble.
Colton: Y'all know this is like shooting really slow fish in a
barrel, right?
Gwen: Don't complain and reload your guns, Colt. Gwen says as
she steps from the back corner side of the TARDIS to the front
as she pops her clip and reloads. She then pauses when she sees
Malcolm from the corner of her eye and looks at him in complete
confusion. She then looks where Jack takes a couple of more
shots at the time warped Cyber Men with more confusion and then
back to Malcolm. Gwen: I'm starting to think my Rhys is right
about me needing a long vacation. I swear I'm seeing two Jacks.
She says to herself and then shakes her head a bit as she
continues to reload her clip and put back in the gun.
Jack: Gwen is right, Colt. Take advantage while you can to
reload and fire because Frank can't hold this for long. Jack
fires a couple of more times at the Cyber Men. Jack: It's not
often we get this kind of time to aim so well.
Franklin: That's it. Everyone just chat while I f*cking
strain... Franklin grumbles a bit as sweat runs down his face
while he maintains the time warp.
Zelpharia swears in Celestian softly under her breath as she
realize how far back the Cyber Men's dimensional portal machine
is from the portal. Zelpharia: Don't take too long to reload,
people. Zelpharia says as she realizes her calculations are off
by 3/10ths of a second. Zelpharia: As soon as Malcolm releases
the package and it hits that time warp barrier, I'll need
Franklin to drop the field and increase the speed of the arrow
by 3/10ths of a second. That gets Colton and Gwen to reload a
bit faster and reload their extra clips and quick loaders.
Franklin: If he's launching from Tara's door, then it's probably
off by 4/10ths of a second per foot instead of 3/10ths depending
on what he's using for the launch, Zeph.

Once Malcolm had confirmed no one was shooting at him, he takes
the bow and aims it, firing the arrow toward the dimensional
portal. Thanks to his experience with archery, he was not only
able to account for any wind and air resistance, but also could
aim very accurately at distances longer than most could fire
arrows. And it seemed that he could fire arrows of multiple
weights, also accounting for the weight changes of different
kinds of arrows.
After he fires the arrow toward the portal, he takes a few taser
arrows designed to interrupt technology, and looks for a group
he could chain a few taser arrows into as the taser arrows could
affect groups if they were close enough together.

((This reply literally took all the damn advanced mathematics I
know to calculate the speed of an arrow. XD))
Franklin sees Malcolm's arrow with the bomb on it and smiles as
he realizes that his mother relies too much on historical
documents for her calculations. Franklin: I think the archer is
better than you anticipated! Franklin holds for a moment longer
as Malcolm's bomb arrow hits the time warp just on a gut
feeling. He drops the time warp field once Malcolm's other
arrows hit the time warp. Franklin: A hella lot better than you
anticipated. I think better than Dad.
Once the time warp is dropped, all attacks made by the group fly
at their targets at normal speed. Colton's dead eye aim takes
down six Cyber Men with each shot taking out their power supply
circuits. Gwen's few shots also take down a few. Jack's three
shots take out the power supply circuits on his three. For
Malcolm's taser arrows, finding a group of Cyber Men to chain
the taser effects isn't hard to do and would find two groups of
four that the trick would work on. Malcolm's taser shots are
successful in managing to not only chain on the groups, but the
effect is increased by the cybernetic enemies' power supply
system with one of them having its battery pack explode from
overloading. This takes out more than perhaps Malcolm was
planning on. As for the bomb arrow, it flies straight and true
straight through the portal. Franklin is quick to use his
distortion energy to create a barrier around the front of the
portal once the explosive package is through. He figures a
distortion force field would be better than speeding up an
arrow. Plus the force field is keeping anymore Cyber Men from
coming through leaving only a small force of 40 left to be taken
down. The arrow hits maximum distance for its speed and explodes
in violent manner equal to a large atomic bomb... but that is
all anyone sees as the portal collapses.
Colton: Gods be damn! Now that was a hell of trick shot to blow
that hunk of metal up. Colton hollers after the explosion but
keeps to firing off six quick shots in succession. Colton:
Almost as good as me! His voice is sarcastic with that last part
about Malcolm's taser arrows.
Unlike nerves of steel Colton, Gwen flinches at the sudden
explosion of a Cyber Man as she was only expecting the bigger
explosion.. which she'd probably would've still flinched. She
then wishes she could roll her eyes at Colton's words. Gwen: Now
is really not the time to compare marksmanship and trick shots!!
Gwen yells at Colton as she takes several shots. She can still
see Malcolm from the corner of her eye and weirdly unsettled by
him for some reason. She doesn't know why, but she feels like
Malcolm is the type of guy to shoot an arrow in Colton's ass if
Colton pissed Malcolm off.
Jack: Hey, Old Man! If you got more of those electric arrows,
then try to explode another one! Jack calls to Malcolm as he
takes the couple of shots from his Webley revolver. Jack then
decides it's best to holster and switch to his laser pistol.
Jack: Just be careful of Zeph! She's a more hand-to-hand type!
Zelpharia is unphased by everything going on around her. She is
instead focused on fighting Cyber Men and with a steel cold look
of hatred for the cybernetic beings. Her first blasts hit spot
on and melted the metal chassis of the Cyber Man that she has
fired upon. Now she charges in and begins to slash and hack the
enemies.

Malcolm: I probably should have brought more electric arrows...
Malcolm says to himself. Malcolm doesn't hesitate to fire a few
more taser arrows into groups, though he does try to avoid
firing too close to Zeph. He was trying to make each arrow
count, since he only had a limited number of arrows.
