Jack: Actually this is a normal day for us. He says with a smile
as he follows Merlyn. The tone is light hearted, but Jack is
serious.
Zelpharia: Sadly true. She agrees with a sigh and a more serious
tone as she follows the two men.

he takes them to the roof through the stairwell.

Jack: This is just work and nothing compared to what Zelpharia
and I have seen, been, and done. Jack says as he follows Merlyn
to the roof. Jack: We seen beautiful alien worlds, visited Earth
colony planets, dined on exotic foods, and conversate with all
kinds of fascinating aliens.
Zelpharia: We've also had to escape a Dalek insane asylum
planet, fight off multiple invasions of Cyber Men, run from a
tribe of extremely h*rny giant Amazons, figured out that half of
Klingon cuisine might kill you if you don't kill it before
biting into it, and was tricked into visiting an Earth colony
planet ran by nudists on one of our vacations. Zelpharia chimes
in after Jack finishes as she follows behind the two men.
Jack: So I thought you might like getting a tan without tan
lines. Was that wrong of me? Jack says with a smart-ass tone in
his voice and a wry grin on his face.

Merlyn: And I thought life in Black Sun was eventful. He says
sarcastically as they reach the roof. He opens the door so they
could go out onto the roof.

Jack: Black Sun is exciting in its own special way. I,
personally, wouldn't want to deal with some of what Hei has to
deal with, but I'm sure they have plenty of excitement. Jack
says as Merlyn opens the door. He then walks through the door to
the roof. Jack: Much rather deal with dinos that entered through
a temporal rift than sorting out alternates.
Zelpharia: Or dealing with people trying to kill us for stupid
reasons. Zelpharia sarcastically says under her breath just loud
enough for Merlyn to hear her as she walks past him through the
open door. She then turns and looks to Merlyn with a thankful,
polite smile though wariness of Merlyn is still in her eyes.
Zelpharia: Thank you for doing this in advance even if it is
inconvenient for you, Malcolm. The "thank you" is sincere coming
from Zelpharia regardless of her being wary of Merlyn. She then
walks closer to Jack with a more serious look. Zelpharia: I just
hope you're as good of an aim as history files in the Universal
Library says about you.
Jack looks about from the roof as the sounds of raptors trying
to find weak spots on the Leagues' building rise around the
group. Jack's face turns more serious as he sees that the
temporal rift that the raptors came through has closed while
they were inside. That means that killing the creatures is now
definitely their only option. He begins figuring out a good spot
to securely tie a rope to and begin his idea.

Merlyn takes out his bow. Merlyn: Well... I'll be happy to show
you how good of an archer I am. He says in response to Zelpharia
as he heads outside. He decides it best to go and look over the
edge of the roof before firing arrows in order to figure out how
many arrows he'd need, and if he could take out any groups with
his explosive arrows.

Zelpharia: I'm sure you will be happy. She says to Merlyn as she
steps up to the edge of the roof next to him along with Jack.
When looking down, there is only six raptors spread out along
this side of the building and spread out as they try different
things to gain entry into the building. Zelpharia: I swore there
was eight of these bloody bastards.
Jack: I did too but may be we miscounted. We were running for
our lives after falling into a dino ambush. Jack says as he
looks at the scene of the raptors trying door handles and
whipping different objects with their tails at windows. A crash
of a metal garbage can comes from the trios left which has Jack
run in that direction and look over the edge. This is where he
finds two more raptors. Jack: There is eight. I found the other
two.
Zelpharia: Great.. Zelpharia's voice is heavy with sarcasm as
she was hoping that she and Jack had miscounted. Zelpharia: This
would be easier if we could get them into one basic spot. She
says as she watches one raptor to the right start moving a bit
further.
Jack: And that's why I need a rope and climbing, Zeph. Jack says
with a mischievous grin and tone as he looks back to Zelpharia
and Merlyn.
Zelpharia looks over to Jack with a look that could make a drill
sergeant shiver. Zelpharia: I know where this is going, Jack,
and there's no way I'm letting you do it.
Jack: in a charming yet mischievous tone You need the right bait
to attract fish into one spot for easier catching.. or shooting
in this case.

Malcolm looks to them, a bit confused. Malcolm: Or... You know,
we could do this the easy way... He says to them after they
talk. You guys are time travelers right? Don't you have future
guns? I can probably take them out one at a time with my
explosive arrows, and I'm hoping you guys can pull simple enough
shots from here. We can just shoot them from here. We have a
vantage point from here, and I can move over to other roofs if I
need to. There's only eight of them, so this won't be that hard
if we have the high ground.

They both pull out a laser pistol from their holsters as a reply
to Malcolm's question about future guns. Jack: I think Zeph has
a sonic blaster too if you want to try it. Jack says to Malcolm
with a smile.
Zelpharia: Only if I get it back. Villengard sonic blasters are
too hard to get a hold of since the factory blew up. She says as
she takes aim and fires at one of the raptors. The raptor is
instantly vaporized but that shot alerts the others to where
their targets are as the other 5 being to call and look up.
Zelpharia: As for you Malcolm, thank you for a touch of serious
instead of smartarse before serious kicks in.
Jack takes aim and fires at one of the two raptors just the
others being to call out vaporizing it. Jack: You know I
wouldn't mess with you if you wouldn't lock yourself in a lab
for 4 months. Jack says as he fires. He then tries to fire again
as the other raptor on his side runs around the corner to join
the others. He looks to Zelpharia and Malcolm with a more
serious tone. Jack: One of mine is coming your way to join the
others.

Merlyn: As fun as it would be to dangle that fake me to a bunch
of hungry dinos... I'd rather take these guys out so I can go on
with my day. He says when Zeph talks about seriousness. After
mentioning the sonic gun, Merlyn just takes his bow and gets
ready. I'm good with arrows. I'm not really a big fan of guns.
He says as he gets his arrows out and takes an explosive arrow.
He quickly aims and fires it at the group of raptors, hoping to
stick the arrow into one of the raptors. And even if he missed,
hopefully the explosion would take out the raptors.
