Victor: Damn.. didn't realize that there could be someone
controllin' the monsters. I didn't help with anything huge, but
the ones we fought weren't small either. They got weapons and
seem ta know how ta fight those things. He then thinks about the
rumor of a hidden city in Africa that Kendrix had mentioned.
Victor: Some of those immune people even seem ta know how ta
repel the real big ones. In one village I passed through, I
guess it must've been one of 'em Stage 3 or 4 pass by the
village without battin' an eyelash. The villagers said that
their fences keep 'em unseen by the big ones but the small ones
get through. If yer rumors about a city of immune in Africa are
true, then they could be usin' similar except more powerful in
order ta hide from all outsiders. Such a technology could help
the city barriers against this person controllin' the mist
monsters at least.. and I have made friends in that village.
Could benefit Black Sun in the eyes of others if ya had away to
adapt such technology ta fit the barriers.
Several of the Ragnarok grunts that Mecha Shadow go to attack do
stop and being firing at him. The others continue to slowly
retreat. The shapeshifter slices at other Ragnarok grunt which
the blade harmlessly passes through all material and items but
causes physical damage to the body. The grunt drops his weapon
and begins to run away while holding his gut like he'd been
ripped opened. Raven's anger fuels her resistance to pain as she
turns fully and begins to use her earth powers to cause the
ground to crack and quake. Blood runs from both bullet wounds as
her eyes glow more intensely. Raven: I am really tired of trying
to reason or play nice with you boneheaded humans anymore. Now
leave Black Sun territory or prepare to get swallowed by the
ground!! She yells in anger at them which causes the cracking
and quaking beneath a few to get worse. Those retreating turn
and outright run away as they call for more powerful
assistance.. still not caring where they are.

Kendrix thinks for a moment. Kendrix: We sorta do that with the
varanium in the walls. Actually, from what I heard, the earlier
versions of the towns used to use large varanium monoliths to
repel the mist and the mist monsters. They would just avoid the
walls and never come near as long as the varanium was the proper
grade, and humans didn't goad them into attacking or something.
He says as he thinks. These days, the shield is enough to
protect the city, but if a stage 5 were to come to the city,
it's likely they would be able to break throw the wall and part
of the shield. Black Sun had a few contingencies in case that
happened, including a large rail gun designed to blast stage 4s
if any made it into the city. He then shrugs. Thankfully, the
Containment Corps are way super organized, and they take defense
of the walls both inside and out very seriously. I heard at one
point they repelled enemies of ours on their own without any
help from C-Sec or Mithril, the military group of the city.
Mecha Shadow just continues trying to cut down any Ragnorok
members he can still get to with his darkness energy blade being
extended from his hand as the other Ragnorok members run away.

Victor: Nothing says out of touch old man like an answer like
that. He chuckles a bit after listening to Kendrix. Something in
his gut though makes him stop laughing and become very serious.
Though a normal person would feel the aftershock trembles of
Raven's attack on the Ragnarok grunts, Victor's supernatural
senses pick up on them. Victor: Somethin' ain't right, kid.
There's somethin' very wrong goin' on right now. Something else
kicks in within him as he focuses on his instincts. He can sense
Raven close by and that she's hurt. Victor lets out a low growl.
Victor: Check with your men 'cause I think Raven is in trouble.
A few more Ragnarok members fall to both Mecha Shadow's and
Amorfos' energy blades as others keep running. A couple of
Ragnarok members who are running pull varanium shrapnel grenades
from their belt, pull the pins, and throw them in the direction
of Raven, Mecha Shadow, and Amorfos. Raven: In coming grenades!
She yells as she attempts to blast one with dark fireball.

Kendrix: Yeah... When I got back, it took me a while to get
caught up as well since I had been out of the loop for a very
long time. He says before Victor mentions that Raven might be in
trouble. He then looks to Victor calmly. Mecha Shadow went out
there a few minutes ago. He should be with her right now. And
he's more than capable of helping Raven. He gets up. Well, we
can go check. I was tracking Mecha Shadow.
Mecha Shadow teleports over to Raven and Amorfos in a burst of
Chaos Control, and creates a barrier of dark energy around them
to try and protect them from the grenades.

Victor: Wasn't aware you knew already and kinda embarrassed that
I'm just pickin' up on it. My gut was always sharper back in the
day and worries me that I'm just feelin' it now. Victor says as
he stands up as well. He stretches a bit which causes several
snaps and pops from his back and shoulders. He then snaps his
head in the direction of the sounds of grenades exploding
outside as the building tremors a bit form the concussion and
growls softly in anger. Victor: I'm definitely ready to check on
her and Mecha Shadow 'cause it sounds like bombs going off out
there.
Raven's blast just missed the one grenade, but luckily Mecha
Shadow was in time with his shield around himself, Raven, and
Amorfos. Raven drops to one knee and covers her ears to protect
her sensitive hearing from the sound of the blast. That still
wasn't enough though as now she hears nothing but ringing in her
ears and in pain from the sound of the explosions. Raven: Bloody
hell! That really hurt my ears and can't hear cra@p. Are they
still retreating, Shadow?
The two Ragnarok grunts that threw the grenades managed to duck
behind a dumpster just before the grenades exploded. Two of
their companions didn't make it though and drop to the ground
after taking shrapnel in the back. The two that threw the
grenades look and see that the bulk of their people have rounded
a corner and escaped. They look at each other and decide to
throw two more grenades before running off to join the rest of
their company. They pull their last two varanium shrapnel
grenades, pull the pins, and blindly throw them at Mecha Shadow,
Raven, and Amorfos from behind the dumpster.
Amorfos was ready to throw up a telekinetic shield but saves its
strength as it stares at Mecha Shadow's dark energy shield in
fascination. The explosion is startling and would cause a less
adventure harden amorph to return to their normal amorphic form,
but Amorfos maintains its form of Raven and prepares to attack
instead. Amorfos eyes then goes wide and says in Raven's voice.
Amorfos: Two more grenades coming in!

Kendrix: I keep track of almost everything that happens in my
territory... Though I am wondering why Raven's having so much
trouble with a couple of Ragnorok people... She doesn't normally
have issues handling the grunts. He says as gets up. As the
explosion rattles the building, he sighs. Yeah. We probably
should. He says as he heads toward the door.
Mecha Shadow: They do appear to be retreating. He says as he
watches them. When Amorfos calls more grenades almost a moment
after Mecha Shadow let down his shield, Mecha Shadow starts
glowing with darkness energy as he focuses his darkness and
chaos energy. Chaos... Control! He says, using chaos control to
stop time, and then he moves forward and kicks the grenades back
at Ragnorok soldiers and then resumes time.

Victor is quick to follow Kendrix. Victor: The only way she's
gonna have problems is if she's distracted. He then growls when
he hears two more explosions. Victor: I'm startin' ta hope
there's someone left fer me to rip apart when we get there.
Mecha Shadow's kick is very successful. The two grenades make it
back to the two unsuspecting grunts and explode just as one of
them finally notices. Needless to say, they didn't survive the
explosions of the two grenades. Amorfos tries to help Raven
protect her hearing by turning its hands into ear muffs and
putting them over her ears which she puts her hands on top of.
Amorfos is lucky that it can make its ears disappear and block
its psychic hearing so is unphased by the explosions. Once the
explosions are over with, Raven and Amorfos remove their hands
from Raven's ears. Raven: If they're gone, then let's get me to
the medic so I can get these bullets out of me. She says as she
rips the bottom of her shirt into strips and temporarily
bandages her right upper arm and her thigh. Raven: Damn.. I
can't believe I let myself get distracted like that.
Amorfos looks around for something that might be helpful to help
Raven follow Mecha Shadow to a medic and sees a damaged child's
toy wagon. Amorfos then changes itself into a similar yet much
larger and fully functional form and then uses its telepathic
communication with Raven. Amorfos: "Will this help?"
Raven looks to Amorfos as she hears its telepathic communication
and finishes bandaging herself. She's impressed by Amorfos
shapeshifting abilities even though she's in pain and bleeding.
Raven: Well aren't you full of surprises...

Kendrix: Well... Someone is having fun. He says jokingly as he
hears the two grenades go off. He goes into lightning form and
zips through the building, getting to the group more quickly.
Mecha Shadow scans the area for a moment, making sure no enemies
were left currently. Once he figured out there was no one left
from the Ragnorok group still present, he goes over to Raven.
Mecha Shadow: This unit will go and find medical personnel. He
says, not realizing that Kendrix had just arrived.
Kendrix: No need, Mecha Shadow. I'm here. He says as he appears
and retakes his normal form. He then goes over to Raven. It's
not like you to have trouble with Ragnorok grunts.

The area around them looks like a war zone between dead bodies
of those grunts killed and explosion damage. Raven looks to
Kendrix with a bit of embarrassment. Raven: I embarrassingly got
a bit distracted trying to help my new curious friend. She says
as she stops bandaging her thigh and nods to Amorfos who's
currently in the form of an abnormally large toy wagon. Raven: I
was in my raven form when I swooped down to lead the
shapeshifter to Black Sun when a luck shot got me right near the
joint in my arm. Things kinda went down hill a bit from there.
Amorfos uses its telepathy to communicate with both Raven and
Kendrix. Amorfos: "It's my fault. I didn't know those people
would try to hurt me when I went to learn about them. I am so
very sorry that my lack of Earth knowledge caused this. Please
let me help and repay for the trouble I have caused."
Kendrix's speed has left Victor behind as he's not that fast.
Victor does run at top speed to Raven's location and glad for
unnaturally high stamina and endurance.

Kendrix decides not to say anything about Victor yet, and
decided to let Victor catch up before telling Raven that Victor
was present. He goes over to Raven and uses his dark flames for
his Darkfire elemental healing, trying to speed up Raven's
healing while destroying any debris that might be in her wounds.
Kendrix: I'm almost sorry I missed it. He then looks over to
Amorfos, studying him for a moment. Well... Aren't you a
curiosity. He says to both Amorfos and to himself.
Mecha Shadow just stands silently as Kendrix had come in, and
was watching silently as he started scanning the area for any
other threats that might be present.
