Victor: Thank ya, ma'am. I'm tryin' my best ta behave. He says
to Cinder as she walks past him. He takes only a quick once over
look at Cinder from behind and decides that Karasu is definitely
more his type.
Karasu looks to Hei as Cinder walks in and gives him a little
smile. Karasu: She doesn't seem too bad so far. Of course, that
was just hello. She then turns and follows Cinder inside the
bar.
The Kneipe Schwarzes Schiff is not completely full, but there is
a decent size crowd of thieves, mercenaries, and assassins
inside. Most are standing at the target boards where a betting
table and tournament leader board sit with a surly looking man
keeping track. A half-elf assassin throws a knife into the
wooden handle of another knife stuck in one target which makes
the gathered crowd roar in cheers and boos. Other patrons are
strewn about the place between the bar and tables having
conversations and drinking. On one wall is a dry eraser board
with Dead Pool written along the top with a list of targets and
mercenaries. Behind the bar stands a French Creole American
woman with long, braided brown hair that has a white streak
running through it. This is Laura Duperon, leader and founder of
the Guilde des Voleurs and one of the Seven Pirate Kings. She
cleans a mug while chatting with a fairly large bear of a man
sitting on a barstool but still takes a moment to smile and wave
to Karasu which Karasu returns the gesture as she walks in.

Hei: Well... I hope you guys get along, but I'm sure you'll
change your mind like everyone else eventually does. He says in
response to Raven. At this point, he'd given up on trying to get
the family members to get along with Cinder.
Cinder: Well... You don't have to try so hard on my account. She
says jokingly in response to Victor as she goes inside.

Karasu looks over her shoulder to Hei as she follows Cinder.
Karasu: I'll give her chance and promise to be nicer than the
rest of the family no matter. She then pauses a moment and look
back at him. Karasu: You're my brother, and as long as she
actually makes you happy, then I'm happy to be nice to her and
give her a chance. Though if she hurts you then the f*cking
gloves come off. She says with a smile and then turns back
around as she heads for the bar. Karasu: Grab a table nearby.
I'm going to talk to Laura and see what news she's got.
Victor looks about and notices how a few in the bar are taking
note of those looking at their group. A few appear to know
Karasu, but a couple are staring at Karasu and Cinder in a way
Victor knows all too well. Victor: Trust me. Ya might see me get
less polite if any of these drunks get any ideas. He says to
Cinder but while giving a deadly look to those couple staring at
the girls. He'll follow behind the group once Hei walks into the
bar.

Hei: Hurt me... That's amusing. He says simply in response to
Karasu's comment as he heads inside.
Cinder: Well... If they try anything with me, I'll have no
problem making them regret their life choices. She says with a
shrug in response to Victor.
Hei: Cinder... No disintegrations. I don't want to get us kicked
out of this place, or worse, piss off allies of the family. He
says to Cinder.
Cinder: Oh... Well, that makes things more difficult. She says
with a shrug. She then looks to Victor. I guess I'll have to
rely on our big strong bodyguards to makes sure they don't try
anything.

Some of the men in the crowd watching the tournament greet
Karasu as she walks towards the bar and Laura. She gives each of
them a smile and a wave or nod.
Hacker/Mercenary: Look what the cat dragged back in!
Mercenary #1: Blondie! Bloody glad to see you alive, lass. Now
someone can put Erik in check on the target!
Karasu: Then you should talk to my brother over there, C.J. She
says with a big grin as she nods towards Hei. Karasu: He taught
me and far better. The mercenary just laughs and goes back to
watching the tournament.
Mercenary #2: Guess we can call the search party off.
Assassin: Pershendetje, Karasu. Thought you might have finally
left us. Welcome back, motra. Karasu gives him a respectful bow
but continues on towards the bar.
Victor listens to Hei and Cinder as he watches Karasu and how
some of the guild members greet her. Victor: Well judgin' by how
some of the boys are greetin' Karasu, I don't think the drunks
will be too much of a problem. I get a feelin' she's a regular
here and the guild boys don't take messin' with one of their own
lightly. He then finds a clean, empty table near the bar and
begins heading for it. Victor: Gotta an empty table over 'ere.

When Karasu mentions Hei, he just nods to the group in greeting.
After that, he goes and sits down when Victor finds an empty
table.
Cinder goes and sits down as well. Cinder: Well... It seems like
Karasu's pretty well liked by these people.

Victor: Yeah, and hopefully that means we'll be left alone.
Victor says as he pulls a seat out a bit from the table for
Cinder before taking a seat himself. He then takes a scan around
the bar to see if there's any familiar faces in the crowd or
anyone who looks completely out of place. Victor: I really don't
feel like payin' fer damages after a bar fight again 'cause
someone was stupid drunk. His eyes land on one guy sitting in a
dimly lit corner booth. The dark hair guy looks a bit too clean
cut.. and a bit nerdy for a place like this, but Victor moves on
as hackers had been joining guilds like this more often these
days.
Karasu makes it up to the bar and greets both Laura and the
large man sitting there as she takes a seat next to the man.
Karasu: Bonjour and hello, Laura. Hey, Gruger.
The half-orc man turns his head which reveals his missing left
eye and half-orc features. Gruger: So your family didn't send
you off to another universe after all, huh?
Laura: Stop with the rumor tease, Gruger, and drink your beer.
That makes the old half-orc laugh and go back to drinking his
beer. Laura then smiles to Karasu and greets Karasu with her
thick French Creole accent. Laura: Bonjour, sœur. It be so good
to see you. How be your handsome père (French: father)? Still
married to your mère (French: mother)? Laura speaks as she
begins to make Karasu's favorite drink, a Bloody Jack on the
rocks, as she pulls out medical blood, a bottle of Jack Daniels,
and a tumbler glass.
Karasu rolls her eyes to Laura and shakes her head a bit.
Karasu: Both of my parents are fine and married to each other.
Laura: Good he's fine, but a shame he still married. Laura says
with a smile and a bit of a laugh but there is a serious tone at
the same time. Laura adds ice to the glass and pours medical
blood just to cover the ice. Laura: So where you been hidin' for
near 4 months?
Karasu got more serious both in look and tone as she switches to
speaking in the guild's "thieves' cant" language, a mixture of
languages of the first Seven Pirate Kings. Karasu: "I had gotten
an intel job from Spiel down at Wolfengard Tavern that took me
to Moscow about 4 months ago. Some how Percival found out about
it, knows the KGB hates me, and ratted on me. Got me locked up
in a gulag until Sabretooth helped break me out. Now my family
and I want Percival for some questions. Have you seen him?" What
Karasu says to Laura cause the old psychic vampire to get a
fiery look of anger.
The "nerdy" guy that Victor had briefly scrutinized is Scott
Lang. He acted as nonchalant as possible as while under Victor's
sight while sending a text message to his partner, Kendrix
Whitefire. Scott: "Didn't Sir Integrio's files on David say that
he was dating a smoking hot blond killer because of her ties to
the Interdimensional Sabbat?"
Whitefire: "Yeah, her name is Karasu. Why?"
Scott: "Because she just walked in with an entourage that
includes Sabretooth, a dangerous mutant if this universe's
version is like my universe's version."
Whitefire: "Not good! Take a picture of the group without being
noticed. I want to see who all is with Karasu."
Scott: "Easier said than done, but I'll give it my best shot."
Scott replies as he gets his smartphone like communication
device into position as nonchalantly as possible and lines up
with Victor, Hei, and Cinder the best he can. He waits for a
moment to easy his nerves a bit and steady the device before
snapping a picture.

While studying the room, Hei also noticed the nerdy person who
looked out of place. He communicated mentally to Cinder about it
while Karasu was talking. Hei was going to ask Victor about the
man, but as soon as the man takes a picture of the group, Cinder
immediately responds by firing a pillar of flames at the man,
not taking any chances. Unlike Hei who wanted to capture the man
and was getting ready to move, Cinder was ready to just
incinerate him instead when she fired her pillar of flames at
the man.

Scott's eyes go wide with surprise when he sees Cinder's pillar
of fire coming at him but still quick to activate his suit. His
helmet quickly encases his head and his suit shrinks him down to
the size of an ant just as the pillar of fire strike where he
had been just sitting. Now there sits nothing more than the
empty duster coat and pants sitting in the booth as Scott slides
down the inside of one of the pant legs. Scott: Damn it! That
was too close. I told Integrio that you were more cut out for
this in-person sneaky stuff than me. Now I've got some woman
throwing fire at me like a softball! Scott says over his
communicator to Kendrix Whitefire. At this size, Scott knew that
not even Sabretooth's supernatural hearing was keen enough to
hear him talking.. or shouting.. out loud.
Whitefire: "Take a breath and relax, Scott. Integrio and I
agreed that it would be too risky if I went because of the
Interdimensional Sabbat plus David doesn't know you."
Scott: Oh right... So send the technical geek guy just really
getting use to being a hero into a literal den of thieves and
killers. Smart plan. Scott sarcastically says back to Whitefire
as he makes his way down and to the bottom of his pants. Scott:
I'm lucky I remembered that Tony modified my suit and didn't it
p*ss it at the same time.
Whitefire: "At least you remembered. Now calm down and try to
figure out how to track Karasu. If anyone can lead us to David,
then she should be that person."
Scott: Easy for you to say on all accounts. I'll just call
Antoine and hope we don't get swatted out of the air next.
Cinder's sudden attack at Scott startles everyone in the bar and
interrupts Karasu and Laura. Karasu: What in the f*ck?! Karasu
says in complete shock as she looks to where Victor, Hei, and
Cinder are at. Her face then turns to frustrated embarrassment
as she realizes that Cinder just attacked someone or something
and now has set the bar on fire.
Laura is p*ssed once the shock of Cinder's sudden, brash fire
attack of Scott wears off quickly. She lifts her right hand
towards the fire and casts a water column spell. Laura: Fury of
Poseidon be my spear! Water blasts from her hand and quickly
puts out the fire started by Cinder's attack. She then angrily
glares at Cinder for using such destructive powers in her bar
for what appears to be nothing as Laura didn't see nor know
Scott had been sitting in that spot. Laura: Why you be attacking
my bar, chienne de feu?! She then looks to Hei and recognizes
him though she hadn't seen Hei since he was a teenager and
frowns even deeper. Laura: Don't you be knowing that I and my
guild be allies of the Sabbat or has Qrow gone mad?!
Victor is startled by Cinder's sudden attack on Scott but
couldn't exactly scold her for something he probably would've
done in his younger days. Instead he just softly speaks so only
Cinder and Hei can hear him as he remains oddly calm. Victor:
That really wasn't the smartest move, girly. We're in the
witch's domain in here so I recommend one of y'all start talking
quick to sooth her ruffled feathers before this gets worse.
As for everyone else, the sounds of weapons being drawn and
powers being charged can be heard all around Victor, Hei, and
Cinder as guild members prepare either for a fight or to stop a
fight. Gruger turns on his stool from the bar and looks to
Victor, Hei, and Cinder as he prepares to possibly bounce them
from the bar.

Hei grabs Cinder's wrist coldly. Hei: Cinder! There was no need
for that!
Cinder: He was clearly snooping on us Hei. I removed a possible
threat to us. And if these people are your allies, then he was
probably a threat to them too if he was a threat to us.
Hei then lets go of Cinder's wrists, and then turns to Laura and
bows politely. Hei: I apologize... I'll repair any damages
myself. And throw in a free remodel of anything else you need
done in the bar as well for the trouble. I got Cinder involved
in what we're doing, despite the old man and mother disapproving
of getting her involved. If you want to blame anyone, blame me.
Don't hold it against the old man or mother, please. He explains
to Laura, trying to make it clear that he alone is the only one
that should be held accountable for Cinder's actions, not Qrow
or Raven or any of the other Sabbat members.
