Karasu: I only was in the prison because that Houdini ex of mine
somehow found me and my team in Moscow. I don't know why David
was in Moscow nor how he found me, Father, but he did and we
were ambushed by the KGB. There's a hint of embarrassment and
anger in her voice as she explains a bit more to Qrow about how
she ended up in a Russian prison for supers. She had gone on an
intel mission with a couple of rookies to see about new weapons
and technology being developed to use against supers. Karasu:
One moment it was 15 versus 3, and the next I was waking up in
cement shed with no windows and a power inhibitor collar in the
middle of nowhere Siberia. I didn't have a clue how long I was
in there until Victor helped break me out, and by then, I was
nearly feral with hunger.
Victor notes how Raven looks to Hei as he responds to her.
Victor: I'm respectful only 'cause time has given the experience
ta learn what that is. Somethin' that sadly not too many have
the mentors ta teach 'em. A flash of anger crosses Victor's eyes
when Karasu mentions David's name but manages to keep a calm
expression as Karasu explains. She had told Victor more than
enough for him to figure out that he wants to kill David. He
just hopes her family won't think less of him for such an urge
if they find out.

Raven listens to Victor explain how he had been around long
enough to know respect. Raven looks at Hei for a moment, then
back at Victor. Raven: Or is it that Hei warned you what we
could do to you if we didn't like you? She says sarcastically.
She sounded serious, so it wasn't obvious at first that she was
just messing with Victor. Of course... If Hei did warn you and
you knew what we could do to you, then that would mean you're
actually a smart boy to understand not to pick a fight with us.
She says somewhat jokingly with a smile.
Qrow: If this ex of yours is a problem, I don't want you
traveling alone anymore. From now on, if you travel to other
universes, I want you to take at least one other family member
with you. There's a reason we don't like our family to go out
alone. He says to Karasu, the last part being a reference to how
Hei's daughter Kendra disappeared, which Qrow had clearly taken
precautions to try and prevent a scenario like that from
happening again.

Raven's jocular comments calm Victor's mind from murderous
thoughts as he gives he a respectful yet wry grin. Victor: Ta be
honest, I already have a fair knowledge of the Darkfire clan
thanks ta my own organizations especially my family branch of
the Yakuza here in Japan. I believe that the Inagawa-kai family
of the Yakuza might be familiar ta ya as we had signed an
alliance agreement 'bout a year ago. If my memory serves me
right. So I 'ave a deep respect for your family and show respect
ta those who deserve it.
Karasu: I don't like admitting that David is a problem, but he's
going to be and one I can't understand. I swear I had gotten him
with a kill shot a year ago in Berlin..but then he shows up in
Moscow. It doesn't make sense. Karasu then sighs a bit knowing
that Qrow is right though. Karasu: I do promise not to go alone
or with inexperienced help anymore though. This last encounter
shook me especially when humans are using strong tranquilizers
and power inhibitor collars. The only good thing about the whole
ordeal is that I did meet Victor. He not only helped me escape,
but he also nursed me back to health afterwards when he could've
just let me die full of bullet holes in the middle of Siberia.

Raven: Well... I already like you better than some of the
other... guests... we've had. I have a feeling you won't be one
of the ones that end up a bloody stain on the floor. She says
somewhat jokingly to Victor.
Qrow stays silent for a moment as Karasu explains things about
David. Qrow: Then we kill him and drag his corpse somewhere he
can't be revived. Or seal him away. But we'd need one of the
magic users for that one. Nevertheless... He looks to Hei. Take
Hei with you. Have him counter this guy when he appears. And if
you have to, bring others with you. I can assign others to
travel with you.
Hei: If he's got some power that let him revive from a
killshot... I can have Cinder steal that power from him. Then
killing him won't be as difficult. He says to Qrow.
Qrow just glares at Hei. Qrow: I don't need the Order's help.
Your "wife" is not welcome in our business and you know that.
Hei just glares back at Qrow. Hei: It's a logical solution, old
man... Her ability to steal powers would be helpful in this case
if the reason he came back may be a result of some power he has.
And I'm going to call her to help take him down whether you okay
it or not because her abilities as a warrior are still going to
be helpful since she's someone this buy will be unlikely to be
prepared for. He says to Qrow. It was obvious there was a lot of
anger between Hei and Qrow.

Victor chuckles a bit at Raven's comment. Victor: I hope I don't
end that way as I'm hoping to be allowed to continue seeing
Karasu. Ya raised 'n excellent hunter who's a very graceful
fighter and got me jumpin' hoops like a love sick guard dog. He
says with genuine sincerity to Raven. Victor: I'm willin' do
what it'll take to earn both yer respect and permission. He then
looks to Hei and Qrow as their conversation gets heated.
Karasu is at a complete loss once Hei and Qrow start going back
and forth. She understands both sides but rather not get in the
middle.
Victor: Sorry ta interrupt, but I'd like ta volunteer ta help
with the hunt. Victor says in an attempt to try to cool tempers.
Victor: I know this might be a family thing, but I promised your
daughter ta hunt the bastard down and rip his heart out once she
was home. He also sounds like his genes 'ave been juiced, and I
got a psychic vampire who can painfully extract the information
among many things if ya want.

Raven: I like you. You're entertaining. She says to Victor.
Qrow: Fine. I'd prefer someone I can at least trust to go with
her. But you and Hei will have to do. He says to Victor. While
Hei had lost Qrow's trust, it seemed like Qrow hadn't learned
enough about Victor to know whether or not he could trust him
yet. He can be helpful with tracking and fighting any enemies
you might come across. I don't want Kara going anywhere alone if
this guy is after her. He says to Victor. Kara was what he
typically called Karasu, a habit from his world and his world's
Karasu (before she was killed).

Victor: I definitely agree about Karasu not going anywhere
alone. Hei and I should be able ta work together on trackin' and
takin' the bastard down. I understand that you would prefer
someone ya trust but look at it as a way ta see if I'm worthy of
bein' trusted. Victor says to Qrow with a reassuring smile.
Karasu: Well it sounds like we're all going on a hunting trip.
She says with a raised eyebrow.
Victor: I'd rather you stay home and let Hei and me take care of
this.
Karasu: I know all of David's favorite places and where his flat
are in Berlin since I doubt he's still in Moscow. My knowledge
will cut back on tracking time.

Qrow: This will be a decent test on whether or not you can be
trusted. He says in response to Victor. I don't like the idea of
Kara going with you on this though, especially if she's the
target. I'd prefer you and Hei go alone.
Hei: We're going to need Karasu on this. We need something to
draw him out. And without Karasu, he will probably be very
difficult to track. If Victor and I work together, then we
should be able to take him down if he comes for her and it
should be the fastest way to get the job done. And if I add
Cinder to the mix, he won't stand much of a chance.

Karasu: Hei is right. With him and Victor, I'll be fine. He's
also right about everything going faster with me going along. We
hit a couple of David's favorite bars in the west side of Berlin
and that should be enough to get the vine to light up. If Hei
and Victor go alone to look for David and he catches wind of it,
then he'll ghost on them and leave Berlin which wouldn't be hard
thanks to his spy training from MI-6. I know that at least two
of people here want me to stay home, but ask yourself, is that
the logical choice? She says with a calm voice as she pleads her
case for going on the hunt for the David.
Victor listened and nod in agreement with Qrow as he speaks his
peace about Karasu staying home. He frowns a bit as Karasu
argues her case for going with but keeps his mouth shut for now
as he figures that Qrow and Raven should have final say.

Qrow: I guess I don't have a choice... He says with a shrug. It
seems you're determined. He says to Karasu. But I want you all
to call us before you call anyone else if things go wrong. If I
have to, I'll go myself to handle this, but I'd rather not get
everyone else involved. I'd prefer you not call Cinder, but Hei
clearly is going to disobey me anyway.
Raven looks to Victor and goes over to him. Raven: If Hei calls
Cinder, I'll reward you handsomely if you rip her heart out for
me. She whispers to him. It was mostly a joke, since she knew
everyone could hear her, which was obvious when Hei growled at
Raven in annoyance.
