MONKEY SHINTAI
Iron Monkey: It is said that Sun Wukong the Monkey King was so
durable that he could go high into the clouds, then drop down
like a falling star with his magic staff at the ready, and walk
away with no injuries. This Chi technique is said to be the very
one used by Sun Wukong . The Chi master powers his Chi with
balanced Chi and then focuses it into turning his body as hard
as iron while maintaining his flexibility and speed.
Mischievous Monkey Chi Clone: It was said that Sun Wukong could
take a single strand of hair and turn it into a weaker but
perfect clone of himself with his breath of life. This Chi art
allows the Chi master to take a single strand of hair and blow
enough balanced Chi energy into it to make a perfect weaker
clone of himself. This clone is half as strong as the real Chi
master but will fool the senses of even the strongest opponent
at first.
Bi Huo Jue/”Fire Avoidance Charm”: Allows the Chi Master to
survive fire like Sun Wukong.
Bi Shui Jue/”Water Avoidance Charm”: Allows the Chi master to
survive deep water; however, he is unable to fight while using
this ability just like Sun Wukong.
Body Freezing Chi Art: Allows the Chi master to immobilize
enemies with a touch as the famed Sun Wukong would do.
Huǒyǎn-jīnjīng(火眼金ı
55;)/”fiery-eyes
golden-gaze”: Allows the Chi master to identify evil no matter
what form it takes; however, it also causes smoke to sting his
eyes.
Jie Suo Fa/”Lock-Breaking Spell”: Allows the Chi master to point
a finger or his staff and open any lock like the legends of Sun
Wukong.
Jīndǒuyún/”cloud-somersault” or “cloud trapeze”:
Allows Chi master to cover 108,000 li (54,000 km, 33,554 mi) in
a single leap like the legends of Sun Wukong.
Protective Circle of Sun Wukong: Allows the Chi master to erect
an impassible barrier by drawing a circle on the ground with his
staff or foot.
Howling Wind of the Monkey King: Allows the Chi master to summon
strong winds and storms like Sun Wukong.
- Clan Weakness: Resplendent Cranes have no tolerance for
rebellion, and their rage is like the north wind. In theory,
they follow the Fivefold Way religiously, punishing anyone who
deviates from it. In practice, the Shining Ice Guardians are
regal monsters, interpreting the law as they see fit and
enforcing it when it suits them. Some Cranes follow Devil-Tigers
around like carrion-crows and fall on sinners like icicles
plummeting. It's said that Resplendent Cranes are as honest,
cold, and merciless as the winters they enjoy. In that purity,
they hope to find forgiveness, even if they have none to grant
themselves.
Sun Wukong Weakness: Because Zian has learned Monkey Shintai and
began using the artifacts of Sun Wukong that he has, he has
begun picking up some of the Monkey King's mischievous
personality traits which tends to irritate opponents. He can't
help to show some of these mischievous traits when challenged to
a fight no matter how hard he tries. Sun Wukong was known never
to back down from a challenge which lead to his eventual
imprisonment by the Jade General and this trait seeps into
wielders of his artifacts. If challenged to fight whether for
honor or not, the wielder of the artifacts of Sun Wukong will
accept almost every time.
Darkness Weaknesses:
Light
As suggested by the name, a primary weakness of the Darkness is
that it only functions in the absence of light. The Darkness
cannot be accessed in the light and when light hits anything
created of the Darkness it vanishes. This leaves the wielder
particularly vulnerable during the day, however even during the
day if protection from the light can be found the Darkness can
be used. The darkness can be accessed simply by being in a
non-lit room or even under the cover of smoke as long as it is
thick enough to provide protection from the light.
Celibacy
All wielders of the Darkness pass on the Darkness to their heirs
through sex. Upon the conception of their child they die, so
males in the Estacado family generally die during intercourse.
This can be quite a burden for some, and the Darkness has been
used in the past to create sentient humanoids for the purpose of
sexual gratification.
- Weapons: Fists and feet, three section staff, nunchucku, 8
throwing daggers, two 12mm custom automatic pistols, fangs, one
dadao (Chinese great sword), Staff of Sun Wukong ("Staff of the
Monkey King," Chinese artifact of power that uses Chi energies),
Darkness (One of the most powerful of the 13 artifacts of power)

Favored Weapon Benefits: 25% higher chance to land a critical
strike, 30% higher chance to land non-critical strikes
Artifacts:
Staff of Sun Wukong (other names: Staff of the Monkey King, Rúyì
Jīn Gū Bàng, Magic Golden-Clasped Rod, Ideal
Golden-bound Cudgel ): Brief History: Sun Wukong's primary
weapon, originally an iron rod used to measure the depth of the
sea. The Rúyì Jīn Gū Bàng was given to him by Ào
Guǎng. The staff weighs 13,500 jin (8.1 tons), but
Wùkōng can lift it easily and change it to any size. He
usually shrinks it to the size of a sewing needle and puts it
behind his apple when he is not using it.
Powers:
The staff uses balanced (Light and Dark) Chi energies and can
only be wielded by the strongest chosen Chi master warriors.
Change Size: The staff can change size and length with just a
thought from the user.
Agility of Sun Wukong: Sun Wukong gave the staff to give the
chosen Chi warrior who wields this staff the ability to be as
supernaturally agile as himself. When fully charged with
balanced Chi energies, the staff grants its wielder this
agility. Works well with Monkey Style Kung Fu and Chi Arts.
Cloud-stepping Boots (also called Ǒusībùyúnlǚ and
cloud-stepping shoes):
Brief History: Made of lotus fiber, these are one of the
treasures of the Dragon Kings; Ào Ming gives them to Sun Wukong
in order to get rid of him when he acquires the Rúyì Jīn
Gū Bàng.
Powers:
The boots use balanced (Light and Dark) Chi energies and can
only be wielded by the strongest chosen Chi master warriors.
Lighter than Air Step: The boots allow the wielder to literally
step on air by temporarily making him lighter than air. This
allows for a broader attack over a larger group of enemies. Air
stepping can last up to 3 rounds.
Cloud Stepping: This Chi power of the boots allows the wielder
to step on clouds like solid objects and use them to gain more
height and distance with Air Stepping. Wielder may also stand on
a cloud for up to 5 rounds before having to move to the next
cloud. This works well with drop attacks along with the Iron
Monkey Chi power.
Supernatural Jump: This Chi power of the boots allows the
wielder to jump to heights of 29,029ft as it is said that is
how Sun Wukong would pay the Jade Emperor a visit in his eternal
place.
Darkness: Brief History The wielder of the Darkness possesses a
number of supernatural abilities. The Darkness power allows the
wielder to create anything they desire. One of the primary
weapons of the Darkness is the ability to generate solid
constructs such as blades, claws, and protective armor. The
darkness can also be used to create living, sentient beings that
are controlled by the wielder. These darkness creatures are
often in the form of imps or demons often referred to as
Darklings. They tend to be violent in nature, and use a lot of
profanity when they talk. The possessor of the darkness can also
hear and see remotely through these creatures. Close proximity
is also not necessary as they can be created and left in a dark
area and controlled remotely via a telepathic control over the
creatures.
Creations of the Darkness are not limited to Darklings, however.
Possessors of the Darkness in the past have even created
human-like creatures out of the Darkness for many purposes
including sex (see Weaknesses and Limitations: Celibacy).
Powers:
Superhuman Strength: While in the dark, The Darkness increases
the physical prowess of his host to superhuman performance. The
hosts possesses increased strength to an unkown degree while in
Human form; able to punch his fist right through a Human head.
Creation Power: As a being of creation, the representation of
dark and chaos, and the once void that covered the Earth before
God allowed the Angelus to Earth to separate light from dark,
Darkness has access to creation magic to fuel his powers to
create things such as darklings and humanoid beings. All of his
creations are high light sensitive and will turn to dust when
exposed to UV light.
Superhuman Agility: The Darkness also increases his host's
agility; allowing them to jump high over long distances, scale
sheer surfaces, and to perform amazing acrobatic and parkour
feats.
Superhuman Speed: The Darkness can move, run, and fly well over
50 miles an hour.
Superhuman Senses: The Darkness sharpens his host's senses of
sight and hearing.
Healing Factor: The Darkness bestows his host with amazing
powers of self-healing. His advanced self-healing abilities also
make his hosts immune to most Earthly illnesses and all
supernatural afllictions (Vampirism, Lycantrophy, ect).
Shadow Manipulation: The Darkness is shadow and can create and
mold it to his will. The Darkness describes shadows as "merely
the imprint our presence leaves on this plane".
Reactive Adaption: When Jackie was infected by The Four Horsemen
of The Apocalypse, The Darkness acted like an immune system,
creating antibodies to absorb and destroy the supernatural
poison in Jackie's being. The Darklings began feeding on
themselves to protect and relieve Jackie from the effects.
- Personality: Zian is a kind, warm, and caring person who can
be calculating, cold, and deadly serious when made to fight.
He's as quick to tell a joke as he is to snapping your neck for
hurting the innocent.
- Skills: Martial Arts (Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do, Shaolin Kung
Fu, Monkey Style Kung Fu), firearms expert, marksmanship, can
speak 4 langues (Mandarin, British English, Cantonese, and
Japanese), knowledge (Chinese), assassination techniques,
meditation, knowledge (Buddhism), pilot (vehicle), knowledge
(ancient China), knowledge (Chi practices), Yoga, Tai Chi
- Bio: Zian has led a long life as Resplendent Crane after dying
during a battle one day. He refused to move on and came back to
the land of the living to regain his honor. It took him many
painful months to learn control over his demons, but in the end
he found it was worth it. Once he became a master in his own
rights, Zian began traveling and seeing many new things. Soon he
saw the benefits of learning from Western Vampires and has gone
against the traditions of secrecy to train vampires and other
supernaturals in the ways of Chi control. As he traveled, he
met many Western vampires of a sect known as the Camarilla
Council. They told and taught him about their ways, the
Masquerade, and the Five Traditions that all loyalists follow in
order to live peaceful lives and to perhaps find forgiveness for
their arrogance. This made Zian look at the old traditions and
dharma beliefs of the Resplendent Cranes in a whole new light.
He made the mistake of taking his new ideas for religious growth
and to make a knowledge trade agreement between Western and
Eastern vampires. The elders of all clans did not like his idea
and feared what troubles such ideas could cause if spread to the
others, so Zian was sentenced to a 2,000 year exile from his
homeland with the order to never speak or teach of their ways to
outsiders. Now exiled from his own clan for the changing of his
views and the ways that their own belief structure should be
changed in order to achieve true forgiveness, honor, and peace
with their damned demon souls trapped with in them.
Kendrix has worked with Jackie to find a way to remove Darkness
from Jackie's possession without using impregnation and brought
it to Zian to wield, guard, and control. Zian has had over 2,000
years to learn control and balance over his demon soul and now
uses those same techniques to control Darkness though sometimes
Darkness takes a moment of weakness here and there.
