Zoe: Heh. Also, sorry. I should've brought these guys to you
first... even though they saved us from a few of those scary
dark spirits that tried to get us.
Mark grumble a hello to Jon when he arrived. Meanwhile, the wisp
that was with Jon looked like it was catching it's breath. The
one on Zaz's shoulder wave hi to the other one and Jon
cheerfully.

Jon waves back to the wisp before turning back to Zoe. Jon: It's
fine. I just wanted to be sure nothing would happen to trigger
Allegra... She tends to get quite crazy at times. He says
looking to Allegra.
Allegra: Jeez... Just leave me alone. I'll do what I want. She
says bitterly. I didn't come here to hang out with you Exiles
anyway.
Zaz looks down to Zoe. Zaz: Do you get attacked by Dark spirits
often? He asks Zoe curiously, while also noting her unusual
spiritual presence.

Zoe has to think for a minute before turning to Zaz
Zoe: When they started to show up more often here last year. We
do have some people who normally handle those scary spirits
hence me not seeing them too often as long as I'm with an adult
who can handle them. Normally I see other scary monsters such as
hollows that try to hurt me back in my home world. I thought
they showed up because some scary monsters like them loves
eating kids our age.
Zoe wasn't entirely sure why the dark spirits came for the kids
specifically other than them seeming to be easy meals. That and
the whole thing about scary monsters have a thing for finding
human children super tasty.

Jon: I had thought about having her trained to control her
spirit power. Maybe something to help her defend herself. He
looks to Zaz. It may be best for you to train her.
Zaz listens to Jon and then looks to Zoe. Zaz: You might be
right. Those like us with stronger spirits often tend to draw
things like dark spirits and hollows to us. It sounds like
you've already have a lot of spirits after you. He says in
thought. I'm scared to train her though. I don't want to her to
get attacked even more if she were to open herself up to the
spirit plane. She's a bit young, but it sounds like she might
need that training to protect herself. I'm actually a bit torn
on if it would be a good idea to train her now or later.
Allegra just stays silent for the moment.

Zoe: I understand but I also don't want to be a burden to you
guys or to others that care about me. I noticed things are
getting much worse and it might end up with us not being as
lucky as we were before. I want to be better prepared for in
case something like this happens again. Though I don't mind
taking things slow and steady if you're still worried.

Zaz kneels down get to eye level with Zoe. Zaz: I don't mind
training you... I'm just worried about what this training might
expose you to. Listen. There's a lot of scary things out there.
And if I train you, you might get exposed to those things. I'm
just worried for your safety, that's all. Once your exposed to
the spirit plane, it's like permanently opening a door. And the
spirit plane can see what's on the other side of that door,
which means hollows, dark spirits and other spirits are gonna
see you more clearly than they have thus far. Training in spirit
energy is gonna make you stronger, but it's also gonna attract
stronger creatures.

Zoe: ...I would be lying if I say that this doesn't bother me. I
can't run and hide from the scary stuff forever, but I also
don't want to be a walking target. I am afraid... but I still
want to at least understand my powers and learn how to control
them so I don't hurt the ones I care about. Turns to mainly Jon
and Zaz Is this what growing up feels like?

Jon: It is... However, this is a decision that would scare even
grownups, so don't get let it get you down, Zoe. You have a
unique talent, and you shouldn't have to make a decision like
this. He pats Zoe on the head to try and put her at ease. This
is not an easy decision... And honestly, I wish we could consult
your family in your universe before we train you, but it doesn't
really look like we can do that right now. No matter what you
choose, there are going to be advantages and disadvantages to
any choice you make.
Zaz: What Jon says is true. He says, standing back up. This is a
difficult decision, and honestly, anyone who isn't afraid of
dark spirits and hollows, and what they can do, is a fool. Being
afraid of them, in my opinion, is a sign you understand how
dangerous they are. He says, stopping there. He didn't want to
say what he was gonna say next, as he didn't want to scare Zoe
any worse than she already was.
