Flashback RP: UNIT hires Black Sun

Flashback to March 2019:
General James Pilgrim is not the typical military man after all
these years. He's fought in WW2, became an Army intelligence
officer by the Korean War, to spying on the Soviet Union, to the
Department of Defense, and earned his way into UNIT after the
last US military lead representative bit the big one. Where his
peers are clean cut and in uniform, Pilgrim enjoys his black
pants, a black shirt, boots, and leather trench coat. Pilgrim
also doesn't talk like other high ranked officials, but then he
wouldn't be where he's at today if he was another other way.
Today Pilgrim is hoping that it's his no nonsense, blunt
personality that will help make this meeting go well. He knows
quite a bit about Black Sun and a few of their outside
associates. Pilgrim has worked with Raven on multiple occasions
and even shared a few friendly drinks as well which helped him
learn more. He's heard about Black Sun's technological
advancements and knows that would be a beneficial to UNIT.. but
that's not Pilgrim's full reason for meeting with Hei and
Kendrix.
Typical UNIT protocol for meetings like this.. or basically any
UNIT business.. is that all UNIT agents must wear on active GPS
locator in case of trouble. Pilgrim has his turned off along
with his phone and UNIT communicator. Next protocol is to make
sure several ranked officers must be informed. Pilgrim only told
one person and Goose, his cat. Pilgrim has decided to go off
grid for this meeting as he thinks it's best considering the
Darkfire clan's reputation as ninjas and assassins.
Pilgrim pulls up to the front of Black Sun HQ in a classic 78
black Trans AM. He knew that this would be the first thing to
get their attention. He then gets out, closes the door, and
walks straight towards the front door of Black Sun as he keeps
his eye and telepathic senses open for anyone being sneaky.
Pilgrim is carrying a decent size briefcase which contains a
UNIT weapons and defense development contract, a sample of
UNIT's top secret metamaterial known as teslium, and one other
item which is for a personal favor that he hopes the Darkfires
can help with.

In the shadows around him were Lasombra vampires who had come to
investigate after hearing the trans-am pull up.
Thankfully, the Lasombra weren't going to be a problem, as they
back off when Kendrix comes out. The first thing he does is look
at the car. Kendrix: Wow... That's a cool looking car. Old Trans
AMs and firebirds were REALLY awesome looking cars.

Pilgrim smiles to Kendrix with some pride on the compliment as
he walks towards him. Pilgrim: Thank you. I've had Black Beauty
since I bought her brand new in 78. Once Pilgrim gets to
Kendrix, he pauses a moment to look back to his Trans AM with
his right eye. Nice to know that you appreciate a prime classic.
Pilgrim then turns back to Kendrix and holds out his right hand
for a handshake. Pilgrim: Good to see you, Mr. Kendrix Darkfire.
You're just the young man that I've come to see along with your
father if he's available.

Kendrix: Yeah, I'm not really good with cars, but I do like some
models of cars. He says before shaking Pilgrim's hand. My father
should be somewhere inside. I let him know you were here, but
he's had a lot going on as of late.[/b]

Pilgrim: I can fully understand about being busy. I've been busy
myself with getting my portion of UNIT in order since being
appointed. Pilgrim says as he releases the handshake and lets
his hand relax by his side. Pilgrim: At least Hei knows I'm
here. I'm sure that he'll be interested in what I've come to
talk about, but first, let's continue this inside. Pilgrim then
finishes what he's saying telepathically. Pilgrim: "I worked to
hard too go off grid for a spy in the sky to find me now."

Kendrix: Alright. He says as he heads inside, letting Pilgrim
follow him.

Pilgrim follows Kendrix inside and begins speaking normally
again once the door closes behind them. Pilgrim: I'm sure you
must be wondering why I've come here today. He then reaches into
his trench coat and pulls out a throwing dagger made of pure
teslium as he walks next to Kendrix. Pilgrim: There's two
reasons. One is for an official business proposition that will
give you access to any new top secret alloys developed by our
metalsmith like this. He says as he goes to hand Kendrix the
teslium throwing knife. Because of his electrical abilities,
Kendrix would be able to sense a slight amount of natural
electromagnetic energy emanating from the dagger once he takes
hold of it. Pilgrim: Technically I'm not suppose to show you
this without the private sector contract signed, but experience
has taught me that everyone wants to see product before signing
anything. I just recommend testing it an area without computers
and electrical machines near the target.

Kendrix analyzes the material for a moment, noting its
electrical signature. Kendrix: Interesting... I could make some
cool stuff with this. He says as he holds it for a moment.
Kendrix: Well... You showed us your stuff, so I guess I should
respond in kind. He says as he claps his hands, calling on a
vampire in the shadows who brings him a suitcase. Kendrix: This
isn't as impressive as yours, but it does work pretty well for
supernatural hunters. He says as he opens it up and shows
Pilgrim a material Black Sun had made, called Uridium that was
formed into a knife. This stuff is hard to manipulate, but it's
great for armor and stuff. The material seems pretty
inconspicuous at first, and doesn't seem impressive at first,
but Kendrix quickly shows it by releases lightning and showing
his crimson lightning hitting the blade. When it hits the blade,
the energy dissipates immediately, having no effect on the
blade. Kendrix: We made a material that counters elemental
energy completely. It can dispel any elemental energy, and it's
going to be great for shields, armors and maybe even reinforcing
some structures against supernatural attack. We're also working
on a variant of the stuff designed to fight dragons by combining
it with what the dragons call Draconium, or dragon hunter
material.

Pilgrim admires the blade especially the material's ability with
an impressed look. He can think of at least a hundred uses for
such material. Pilgrim: Now that is something that I can think
of many uses for. Perhaps more than the teslium that I've
brought with me. Teslium is a metamaterial alloy straight from
one of Nikola Tesla's research journals. His idea was to use the
alloy to create free electricity by air movement along the
surface of the alloy. Problem is that it takes more than a 15
mph breeze for the metamaterial to generate a useable amount of
electricity and must have a reliable way to collect what is
generated as the release once air motion stops is explosive with
an electromagnetic pulse and electrical bolts. That makes it
perfect for projectiles such as arrow and large caliber
ammunition. Pilgrim then gets a bit of a grin. Pilgrim: My
metalsmith and I though have been curious if teslium might have
some form of enhancement properties for those who can wield
electricity. Unfortunately I don't currently have anyone in my
ranks with such powers for testing which is why I figured I
would come here with a contract. My metalsmith has two trunks
full of Nikola Tesla's research journals involving alloys and
metamaterials along with a variety of weapons and armor designs,
but we're still working on a better methods of testing such
materials to grasp a full scope on full potential use.

Kendrix: We're definitely interested. He thinks for a moment. I
bet I could make use of this. I just need to pair it with
Varanium for the magnetic field, and figure out a way to use a
form of fusion to generate more power. I bet I could make some
cool stuff out of this. I have a million ideas already for this
stuff. He says as he looks at the Teslium blade.
