_"For today's society, we don't have patience and concentration.
We're easy to get angry... So for today's society, ancient arts
will help us because Kung Fu and spirituality are based on
compassion."_
*~Inspiration quote from Wang Bo*
"All of the hardest, coldest people you meet were once as soft
as water. And that's the shitty part of living as my uncle puts
it."
"Yes, Dionysus wasn't the soberest father. I mean, what do you
expect? He's the God of Wine!"
"I believe in peace and all that kind of junk but I will kick
your ass if you give me a solid good reason to."
"Monkey see, monkey do, this monkey is gonna make an ass out of
you."
"I'm not a Saiyan or a faunus. Why does everyone keep calling me
one of those things? What the hell is a faunus and a saiyan
anyway...?"
"I know things are tense. But when exactly did fighting hatred
with hatred did any good for anybody?"

*Powers:*
Enhanced Climbing:
~User is able to climb and otherwise move effortlessly and
smoothly on angled and/or vertical surfaces such as branches,
rocks, walls, etc., as long as they can gain a hold of it and
keep their balance.
Cloud Flight:
~Users of this ability can fly, glide and/or levitate through
manipulation of clouds. They can fly at varying speeds,
levitate, or propel themselves without taking flight, including
enhanced jumping by a short burst of flight.
Prehensile Tail:
~User has or can grow a prehensile tail adapted to be able to
grasp or hold objects. Fully prehensile tails can be used to
hold and manipulate objects, and in particular to aid arboreal
creatures in finding and eating food in the trees.
Tail Manifestation:
~User has or is able to manifest tail (or more than one) that
may also protect from rear attacks or long range attacks.
Prehensile Feet:
~User has prehensile feet capable of being used as an extra pair
of hands, granting them an increased level of dexterity and
maneuverability in their environments.
*Demigod Powers:*
Alcohol Manipulation:
~User can create, shape and manipulate alcohol and alcoholic
beverages, including beers, wines, and spirits.
Alcohol Immunity:
~The user is either immune to the effects of alcohol or can
tolerate extreme amounts of it without notable effects. This
includes direct nullification, speed of recovery from insobriety
and resistance to the development of alcoholism.
Anarchy Inducement:
~The user has the ability to invoke an absence or lack of
government over a large radius ranging from small villages to
large cities to create mass riots, rebellion and social disorder
and disruption.
Party Inducement:
~User has the ability to induce others to enter a spontaneous
celebration. Some users can also make party-goers party forever
without leaving them tired or in a constant never-ending state
of celebration.
Bliss and Horror Inducement:
~The user can induce targets to feel extreme pleasure or
discomfort, effectively incapacitating them with weakness/nausea
or induce happiness/pleasure.
Plant Manipulation:
~User can create, shape and manipulate plants, including wood,
vines, plants, moss, and parts of the plants, such as leaves,
seeds, roots, fruits and flowers. The user can cause plants to
grow, move/attack or even rise from the soil and "walk", mutate
plants by rearranging DNA structure and revive withered or dead
plants.
They can use their power for defense and support, cause flowers
and other plants to bloom instantaneously, manipulate tree
branches to use them as whip-like weapons, control spores and
pollen, and bring plants back to life and make them sprout
seeds/fruits/berries, use plant chemicals to heal people/objects
or manipulate their properties for a wide range of effects.
Though less commonly activated by passive users, the ability may
deal a series of offensive techniques on a target. Using the
plants as weapons enables users to grasp and strike continuously
with vines and roots, project thorns at a distance, and quickly
regenerate the withering weapons at the user’s will. They can
grow vines to entangle enemies climb around a target's neck,
causing choking, or strike with plants. A more subtle technique
is to release damaging toxins and pheromones, affecting targets
in which conditions should be treated quickly with ailments.
User may also control plants in their altered forms, i.e.
concentrated forms, such as cotton clothing/fabric, paper, etc.
*Chi Abilities:*
Chi Manipulation:
~User can create, shape and manipulate Chi. By learning to
harness this inner natural energy, they can gain superhuman
capabilities, which can be used in cases of extreme combat. Some
examples include physically manifesting all of their inner
strength and unleash it to the fullest extent of its power
through shear force of will, achieving extraordinary strength,
speed, durability, and reflexes, or in some cases, enables the
use of super awareness, energy blasts, elemental manipulation,
and sometimes invulnerability.
In different cases, the user can produce chi by channeling the
energy through the physical body or by using the natural energy
of the planet or cosmos.
Power of Nothingness:
~The Power of Nothingness is a state of consciousness
transcending ordinary perspective, born through spiritual and
mental refinement. Bearing common traits with states of being
within Buddhism, martial arts, and spritual perfection, it is
the power to act without being attached to emotions and thought,
free of fear, anger, pride, and ego, to draw upon the contents
of one's heart intuitively without obstacle and hesitation, and
to be aware of the world and to know one's place and meaning
within its vastness, to flow with all of creation without the
need of worry, desire, and doubt.
It is the complete opposite of the Satsui no Hado. As such, it
can only be used by a person of pure mind, compassion, mercy and
peace. Such a person must have embraced the peaceful and
spiritual aspect of the art to their fullest extent. Just like
the Satsui no Hado, it makes a person unbelievably powerful,
granting invincibility (spiritually and physically) to many
attacks, as well as sealing off evil power and making the user a
stronger fighter.
Mingyu learned this power by Grandmaster Yan Zhao and her uncle,
Master Feng Wukong at a young age.
*Shintai Chi Arts:*
_*Beast*:_
Cower Before The Beast: By staring into an animal's eyes and
releasing his P'o for the briefest of seconds, the Kuei-jin is
able to intimidate even the fiercest animals, forcing them to
cower or flee in terror.
Animal Spy: With this power, the Kuei-jin can "possess" an
animal, forcing it to act as his spy for a brief time.
Conjuring The Animal Kami: A Kuei-jin with this power has the
ability to send out a call not a vocal call, but a sort of
mental compulsion that summons him a specific type of animal.
The character may specify a desired species (tigers,
birds-of-paradise, rhinos) or a more specific subject (Siberian
tigers, alpha-male wolves). The animals summoned only come if
they are within a two-mile radius of the Kuei-jin's location
when he makes the call and if they are physically able to do so.
This power doesn't grant control over animals, but those
summoned by the call generally seem predisposed toward the
Kuei-jin, and may fight for him if he appears to be in trouble.
Sway The Beast: Considered by some Kuei-jin to be an extension
of Cower Before the Beast, this power allows a Cathayan to
infuse a tiny spark of his will into the mind of an animal to do
his bidding. The animal can be forced to do anything, including
suicidal actions; the Kuei-jin's control overrides its normal
fear and self-protection instincts.
Unleash The Beast Spirit: This power creates such a great
connection between the Kuei-jin and nature that the Kuei-jin's
own animal spirit manifests itself in physical form. The
Kuei-jin undergoes changes similar to those experienced by shape
shifters, becoming a soft of half-man, half-animal, with
appropriate abilities.
_*Ghost-Flame Shintai:*_
Goblin Face: The monk's eyes and mouth blaze with eerie Chi
energy, which manifests as flame of the appropriate (Yin or
Yang) color. When the monk speaks, flames lick from her mouth.
This power is exceedingly unnerving; most animals and many
mortals flee when confronted by a monk wielding Goblin Face.
Goblin Spark: The monk can conjure a piece of Chi and send it
forth from her body as Ghost-flame. At this level, the flame
isn't concentrated enough to burn, but it does sing or chill.
All sorts of interesting effects are possible: Lights, shapes,
even pyrotechnic sparks. Skilled Ghost-Flame practitioners often
entertain Kuei-jin courts during the monks' few moments of
levity.
Goblin Shapes: The monk develops precise control over the flame
emitted. He may emit larger quantities of flame and may
configure the flame into all manner of complex shapes. These
constructs are obviously of luminous spirit matter, but can
comprise many colors; in the hands of an expert, Ghost-flame
constructs can be useful illusions.
Goblin Scorch: The monk becomes a living flame thrower,
breathing a gout of Yin or Yang-flame, like the dragons of early
Ages.
Goblin Lantern: With this spectacular power, the monk can ignite
her entire body, thus surrounding it in a corona of Chi fire.
Kuei-jin call this effect "the little sun," an apt name for what
is surely one of the Cathayans' most deadly combat arts.
With sufficient Chi expenditure, the monk can transform, her
entire body into Chi to become a round, glowing ball (Japanese
Kuei-jin call it the hima). Such A display is terrifying,
particularly for a P'o-dominant monk, who often manifests a
leering, demonic face in the middle of the flame-ball.
While surrounded in Yang-flame, the monk inflicts aggravated
damage with any Brawl or Martial Arts attack and when an
opponent grapples her. While surrounded in Yin-flame, the monk
may attack spirit creatures with Brawl or Martial Arts maneuvers
and inflicts Willpower and Wisdom damage to any material beings.
While surrounded in either type of aura, the monk can spend a
point of Chi to "flare up" for a turn. While flaring, the monk's
aura inflicts double it's normal damage for one round.
While engulfed in the Chi aura, the monk is vulnerable to attack
from the opposite type of Ghost-flame. A Yin-flame attack
against a monk covered in yang-flame, or a Yang-flame attack
against a monk covered in Yin-flame, inflicts 50% more than
normal Ghost-Flame damage to each other.
Goblin Sword: Ghost-flame springs from the Kuei-jin's hands,
forming a sword-like fiery weapon that damages both body and
soul.
Goblin Portal: With this power, a Kuei-jin can "ride the paths
of flame" just like other Cathayans can travel via the dragon
lines.
Goblin Call: A Kuei-jin with this power can call ghost-flame
spirits from either the Yang or Yin World, as he chooses. The
flame-spirit serves him faithfully for a short time, then
returns to its house.
Mantle Of The Flame Emperor: Ghost-Flame masters say that within
each of us, there lies a flame. This power allows them to stoke
that flame to the point where the victim is immolated.
_*Jade Shintai:*_
Stand Upon The Dragon's Back: The monk first learns to channel
Chi from the Earth's natural flows into his body, and vice
versa. The monk roots himself to the Earth. He may not be
knocked back or down, nor may he be thrown by a martial arts
attack.
Tread The Thrashing Dragon's Tail: By polarizing her Chi in line
with that of her surroundings, the monk makes herself
preternaturally deft and light. She may walk safely and steadily
along the narrowest of ledges, the most unstable ground, and
even the surface of lakes or oceans. She may also jump long
distances.
Placate The Earth Dragon: By gently singing to the spirits of
earth, stone, and wood, the monk may cast himself into their
embrace. He may sink into the protective earth, or he may walk
through a wall or other impediment.
Harnessing The Dragon's Breath: The monk, by attuning his body
to local streams of Chi, may actually fly along "updrafts" of
energy.
Jade Servant Of The August Personage: The ultimate attuning of
Chi to surroundings, this power draws upon the Five Element
theory as well as great mastery of Chi. The monk may channel
spiritual energies of the classic Five Elements -- Water, Metal,
Earth, Wood, and Fire -- through his form, thus gaining the
properties of the element in the process. In so doing, the
monk's skin transforms, becoming hard and slick, as if the monk
were covered in liquid jade.
Monks who attain this level or Jade Shintai often decorate their
shrines with artworks formed from the Five Elements in question,
so that they might have access to them in times of trouble. Once
activated, the mantle lasts for a scene.
*Element Effects:*
Azure Dragon (1 Yin, 3 Yang): The monk must touch a piece of
wood at least the size of a door or sapling. Opponents striking
the monk with bare fists, feet, etc. take damage per the Yellow
Emperor mantle. Weapons aren't affected by the mantle. However,
the monk may punch or kick a Kindred character as if wielding a
wooden stake -- i.e., if the Cathayan scores three or more
levels of damage, the Kindred is paralyzed.
Black Tortoise (4 Yin): The monk must touch a body of water at
least the size of a large fish tank. The monk's body is chilling
to the touch -- each time the monk strikes or touches a victim,
the victim loses 10% of their Dexterity with each strike until
frozen from Dexterity lost. Dexterity will return within 5 hours
unless healed with chi.
Scarlet Phoenix (4 Yang): Tough -- the monk must thrust his hand
into a fire at least the size of a fireplace blaze. The monk
gains Temporary Fire Immunity. Additionally, the monk's body
radiates heat. Opponents striking the monk with bare skin or
combustible equipment suffer severe heat damage.
White Tiger (3 Yin, 1 Yang): The monk must touch a piece of
metal at least as large as a human-sized statue. The monk's body
crackles with static electricity. Opponents touching the monk
with bare skin, metal weapons, or other conductors suffer
electrical damage per turn of contact.
Yellow Emperor (2 Yin, 2 Yang): The monk must be in contact with
the Earth. The monk's body grows rock-hard. Anyone striking the
monk with bare fists, feet, etc. takes half the damage inflicted
on the monk. Weapons have a 30% chance of breaking against the
monk's skin.
Stone Fish: At this level of power, a Jade Shintai practitioner
learns to become one with the earth -- literally. He can sink
into it as effortlessly as a man walks into a pool of water.
What's more, he can actually "swim" through the soil itself,
which provides an easy way to escape from -- or ambush --
attackers.
Blade Of Stone: This power is used to create weapons of stone --
not just blades, but any sort of melee weapon. Most monks have
their favorites; while many prefer katanas or other swords,
larger ones often favor tetsubo or other crushing weapons, and
more than one monk has made a name for himself with his stone
staff.
Taste Of Jade: A Kuei-jin with this power may attempt to attune
a piece of ordinary jade to Chi energies, turning it into a
piece of true jade for a time. Kuei-jin who have mastered this
power are frequently adorned with jade from head to toe, and
each piece of green stone is a focus for powerful Chi energies
that they can call upon with only a thought.
Augment: The ultimate power of the wangyu is not only being able
to attune himself to the ambient Chi in an area, but actually to
improve it and increase its power. Because of this power, only a
fool or a desperate man attacks a Jade Shintai master while he
is standing in a dragon nest.
_*Smoke:*_
Smoke Without Fire: The name of this power is misleading to many
younger Kuei-jin, since it doesn't literally allow a Cathayan to
create smoke in the absence of fire. What it provides is the
power to enhance the volume and thickness of the smoke created
by a fire. With enough control, the smoke from a single
cigarette becomes enough to conceal many men.
Words Of Smoke: A Kuei-jin employing this power becomes one of
the world's most consummate liars. Anything he says, no matter
how outlandish, tends to seem believable and sincere.
The Hampering Smoke Of Chao Zheng: This power gives a Kuei-jin
the ability to "cast smoke" into the eyes of another,
temporarily blinding him.
Wisp Maya: Among the most arcane of the Smoke Shintai powers is
this one, which allows a Kuei-jin to weave subtle paranormas and
images out of simple smoke. In the hands of a skilled
practitioners, the smoke from even a small fire can be formed
into the shape of men, animals, and other objects that are
virtually indistinguishable from the real thing -- at least to
the naked eye.
Volcano's Fist: This power allows a Kuei-jin to concentrate the
fires of the Pacific volcanoes into one of his hands. The hand
becomes so hot that his merest touch can set flammable objects
on fire, and his punches and strikes cause grievous damage.
_*Storm:*_
Conjure The Duke Of Wind: This power allows a Kuei-jin to raise
fierce storm winds. These can be used to make a sailboat travel
more quickly, to interfere with the flight of birds, or
Cathayans using certain Disciplines, and so forth.
Thunderbolt's Kiss: Many men have dreamed of holding the
lightning in their hands, but the Kuei-jin can actually do it.
When a Cathayan uses this power, his very touch inflicts the
power of the thunderbolt on his foes. A Kuei-jin using this
power may hold the lightning quietly and invisibly, waiting to
be released, or may cause it to arc and thunder about his hands
and body.
Thunderbolt's Caress: This power is similar to Thunderbolt's
Kiss, but the Kuei-jin need not touch his victim -- he can
actually "cast" the lightning bolt at targets a short distance
away from him. Depending upon the character's desires, he may
appear to throw the lightning bolt at his foes, or it may simply
hump from his hand (or eyes) and strike them.
Cloud Chariot: This power creates extremely strong, localized
winds that actually lift the Kuei-jin and fly him wherever he
wishes to go.
The Flight Of The Dragons: This most awesome of Storm Shintai
powers allows a Kuei-jin to channel Chi through his body and
into the world around him to affect the local weather patterns.
Depending upon the amount of power he can muster, he can even
cause terrible storms.
_*Radiation:*_
Treacherous Earth: By disrupting the flow of natural Chi through
the earth, the Scorpion Eater can root an opponent to the
ground, preventing them from leaving the spot. This has no
effect from the knees up unless used on a prone target.
Repulsive Touch: By making her entire being abhorrent to the Ten
Thousand Things as an undeserving, corrupt entity, and the
Kuei-jin may move through objects as though insubstantial.
Actually, matter glides over the Scorpion, or her own flesh
parts to allow matter through; either way, her very touch is
anathema to creation itself and thus repulsive to everything
around her.
Burnout: The Kuei-jin can harness the Earth's ambient radiation
to power any machine, regardless of its normal power source.
Destroy With A Touch: This power grants the Kuei-jin near
complete control over the earth. By drawing upon weaknesses and
impurities in this element, she can cause stones to break, walls
to crumble, and if sufficiently skilled, the earth to shake.
*Chi Art: Monkey Shintai:*
~This technique has been passed down through generations to
honor the Monkey King, Sun Wukong. Mingyu takes this art
seriously and will use it against strong opponents.
Near Absolute Immortality:
~Sun Wukong has absolute immorality according to Chinese
mythology. Though unlike him, his descendants does not possess
this power. Though they are immortal to the point that they are
unable to age, get sick, be permanently wounded, is absolutely
self-sustained, and as the user's mind and soul are as immortal
as their biological bodies. They are also immune to
mental/spiritual damage. Alternatively, some are absolutely
immune to all harm, nor can they die of any natural causes.
The user's existence and soul become completely independent of
even the concept of reality, making them not bound to the
subjects of life, death and manipulations. Also, the power
cannot be removed, rendered truly perfect and absolute.
Iron Monkey:
~It is said that Sun Wukong the Monkey King was so durable that
he could go high into the clouds, then drop down like a falling
star with his magic staff at the ready, and walk away with no
injuries. This Chi technique is said to be the very one used by
Sun Wukong. The Chi master powers his Chi with balanced Chi and
then focuses it into turning his body as hard as iron while
maintaining his flexibility and speed.
Mischievous Monkey Chi Clone:
~It was said that Sun Wukong could take a single strand of hair
and turn it into a weaker but perfect clone of himself with his
breath of life. This Chi art allows the Chi master to take a
single strand of hair and blow enough balanced Chi energy into
it to make a perfect weaker clone of himself. This clone is half
as strong as the real Chi master but will fool the senses of
even the strongest opponent at first.
Bi Huo Jue/”Fire Avoidance Charm”:
~Allows the Chi Master to survive fire like Sun Wukong.
Bi Shui Jue/”Water Avoidance Charm”:
~Allows the Chi master to survive deep water; however, they are
unable to fight while using this ability just like Sun Wukong.
Body Freezing Chi Art:
~Allows the Chi master to immobilize enemies with a touch as the
famed Sun Wukong would do.
Huǒyǎn-jīnjīng(火眼金ı
55;)/”fiery-eyes
golden-gaze”:
~Allows the Chi master to identify evil no matter what form it
takes; however, it also causes smoke to sting their eyes.
Jie Suo Fa/”Lock-Breaking Spell”:
~Allows the Chi master to point a finger or their staff and open
any lock like the legends of Sun Wukong.
Jīndǒuyún/”cloud-somersault” or “cloud trapeze”:
~Allows Chi master to cover 108,000 li (54,000 km, 33,554 mi) in
a single leap like the legends of Sun Wukong.
Protective Circle of Sun Wukong:
~Allows the Chi master to erect an impassible barrier by drawing
a circle on the ground with her staff or foot.
Howling Wind of the Monkey King:
~Allows the Chi master to summon strong winds and storms like
Sun Wukong.
*Pai Zhua/Lion Style Training:*
Pai Zhua Animal Spirit: Spirit of the Coyote:
~Mingyu's primary fighting style uses the spirit of the coyote,
which is her animal spirit. The spirit of the coyote reflects
Mingyu's personality, both as a master trickster and known for
humor. She is able to use her coyote spirit in battle, using
powers of the coyote to fight opponents. This style is centered
around claw strikes, in which, when tuned to her animal spirit,
she is able to hit with strikes that act like claw slashes. She
also has enhanced senses thanks to her animal spirit,
specifically her sense of sight and smell.
Spirit of the Lion: Coyote Energy:
~Part of the Pai Zhua's fighting style uses the energy from the
user's animal spirit in order to help them combat opponents.
This lets users not only use this energy to attack opponents,
but also lets them amplify their own combat ability. Users are
able to create attacks out of this, as well as use it to amplify
their own abilities. This energy is a form of spirit energy,
used similarly to Shaolin Monks use chi. However, unlike the
Shaolin, this is not based in the fighter's own power, but in
the strength of their animal spirit. The animal spirit can be
strengthened though through the bond of the user and spirit
through through things like meditation and physical training. In
Mingyu's case, her spirit is the spirit of the coyote, and as
such uses coyote energy to attack opponents or amplify her
combat ability.
Spirit of the Coyote: Coyote Unleashed:
~Pai Zhua users, with enough training, are able to create
physical manifestations of their animal spirits. They do this
with their animal spirit energy, in which it takes the form of
the animal. This animal form takes the form of the user's animal
spirit, and can be used to attack opponents. Usually, this forms
above the user and then flies at the opponent, attacking them as
it flies at them. This technique is similar to using an
animal-like familiar, except that it is always in the same form,
and can't be altered. This takes the user's own connection to
their animal spirit into the next level, and when this happens,
the user is able to connect with the animal spirit's
manifestation, controlling it with their mind. Those who are
attacked by these can defend themselves as they would from other
energy-like attacks since it is energy manifested as a physical
object. For Mingyu, this involves using her spirit of the coyote
and summoning a tan brown coyote to attack opponents.
Master of Trickery:
~The coyote spirit are masters of trickery. Mingyu is able to
craft illusions and misdirections, fooling her enemies in both
battle and to avoid conflict. This is also perfect for when
Mingyu wants to pull pranks on people due to her mischievous
nature.
Cornered Animal:
~Animals can be very ferocious when backed into a corner or
threatened. The coyote spirit is no different. Despite being a
trickster, the coyote is no different. The spirit is still a
very dangerous fighter when threatened despite it's tricks.
Adrenaline powers through as Mingyu fight tooth and claw to
fight her opponents who push her through that state such as
threatening her loved ones or being in a fatal position.
Coyote Bite Attack:
~This technique uses Mingyu's coyote energy. She can manifest a
coyote head to come out to bite opponents. The bite is as strong
as a werecoyote's bite. She can also use this this attack with
her own teeth, such as breaking some weapons with her teeth like
carbon steel.
Coyote Tail Slash Attack:
~This technique uses Mingyu's coyote energy, firing a slashing
wave at opponents, designed to look similar to a coyote tail.
The crescent spins as it's fired, increasing it's cutting power
as it is fired at opponents. If hit, the opponent is slashed by
her coyote energy. This is another simple attack, designed to
pierce defenses and hit with immense strength. Usually dodging
this is the best way to avoid damage, though some stronger
opponents can break the slashing wave with similar waves or
attacks.
Coyote Spirit Blast Attack:
~This is a technique using Mingyu's lion energy. This technique
fires an beam at an opponent, that acts like an energy blast to
try and blast opponents. The energy burns on contact, exploding
into animal spirit energy. This uses her coyote energy as
weapon, and turns it into a concentrated blast she can fire at
opponents. This is a technique can be avoided or blocked by
tougher opponents. It's a pretty simple technique, designed just
to blast opponents.
Pai Zhua Animal Spirit Defense:
~This lets Pai Zhua users use their animal spirit to temporarily
harden their body using their animal spirit energy. This
technique can help protect them from attacks, such as protecting
from weapons, or using it in their hands to deflect energy
attacks. When used with hands or feet, they are able to hit
attacks away, including exploding attacks, using their spirit to
simple reflect the momentum of the attack. Of course, this
technique has to be used in response to an attack, as simply
keeping this active all the time depletes their energy too
quickly, which means that armoring the whole body is not worth
it to protect one part of the body.
Pai Zhua Spirit Sense:
~This technique comes from Pai Zhua training, which lets the
user sense those around them. This lets the user not only sense
who is there, but what they are and, with concentration, lets
the user tell what kind of animal spirit people around them
have. This sense acts similarly to a supernatural sixth sense.
This requires not only to be able to feel what's around them,
but also requires the user to be in touch and harmonized with
his animal spirit.
Immune to Power Negation:
~Because the animal spirit and Pai Zhua training is a
manifestation of combat abilities, Pai Zhua powers cannot be
negated by power negation, as the Pai Zhua training is pure
human combat ability and not really based in supernatural
ability. This makes Pai Zhua techniques immune to things like
power negation abilities and metals like stilled silver.
However, one could negate a Pai Zhua's abilities if they were to
figure out how to dispel their animal spirit energy and negate
their ability to draw out their animal spirits.
Demigod Speed, Strength, Agility and Defense:
~Mingyu Wukong is a martial artist and a chi artist who is
trained in the Western Shaolin temple, thus making her a
dangerous opponent along with her being a descendant of the
famous Chinese deity, Sun Wukong and the daughter of the late
Greek deity of wine and madness, Dionysus. Despite her being
young, she is tough enough to face against beings that can
easily kill mortals. She's even tough enough to fight and keep
up with creatures such as saiyans.
*Combat Skills:*
Chinese Crane Kung Fu Style:
~This style of Animal Kung Fu one of the more elegant and
involves the practitioners of the Crane to train themselves in
excellent balance and evasion, both of which are characteristics
of the actual wild crane. The most recognizable technique is the
crane beak which uses one’s pressed fingertips to strike
pressure points and soft vital areas of the body. Another
technique is the crane wing where one’s hand is bent at the
wrist with the palm facing towards one’s body and fingers spread
apart in order to block attacks or redirect them. The most
famous is the Fuijian White Crane based upon southern Shaolin
Kung Fu which itself is also said to have been derived from an
earlier form called Tibetan White Crane.
Chinese Monkey Kung Fu Style:
~This style of Animal Kung Fu is one of the most unusual and
involves the practitioner’s complete imitation of the behavior
of a monkey. Though many variations exist, Monkey Kung Fu is
generally known for its low stances, acrobatic maneuvers, and
deceptive attacks. One especially recognizable feature is what
is called the “monkey claw”, a semi-closed fist used to strike
vital areas such as the throat, eyes, and groin... a technique
Mingyu is famous for using on enemies. Another technique that
Mingyu mastered is Drunken Monkey, which relies on intentional
clumsiness to feign vulnerability. This goes with her Drunken
Style fighting skills since she also mastered that one.
Drunken Kung Fu:
~This martial art fits Mingyu due to her being the daughter of
Dionysus. Also known as Zui Quan, this style of Kung Fu imitates
the movements of an intoxicated individual to utilize
unpredictable offensive and defensive maneuvers. Whether based
on the Shaolin Drunken Fist or the Eight Drunken Immortals of
the Wudang styles, this unusual martial art does not actually
require or even recommend being drunk for it's practice, a
common misconception that still persists to this day.
Chinese Hung Ga Style:
~Mingyu was taught this technique by a monk from the Southern
Temple. This is the most popular Southern Kung Fu style next to
Wing Chun. Characterized by the close-range intricate hand
techniques and low kicks of most Southern Kung Fu, it's also
recognized for it's use of the horse stance, bridge hand (a hand
form many have seen in Kung Fu films but may not have attributed
to Hung Ga let alone known about in name), and Five Animals
(Tiger, Crane, Snake, Dragon, and Leopard). Hung Ga's lineage
traces all the way back to the Kung Fu practiced by the Shaolin
monk, Gee Seen Sim See, a Manchu rebel who sought refuge in the
Shaolin Temple and later brought his martial arts to the
Southern Shaolin Temple after the Northern Temple's destruction.
Silat:
~Silat is an ancient art with no clear beginning, though some
masters believe it was created by watching the movements of
animals. This makes sense because the fighting style is all
about exploiting weaknesses in your enemy and incapacitating
them as quickly as possible. Another theory, proposed by "The
Malay Art of Self-Defense," is that Silat grew out of a
combination of Chinese and Indian martial arts.
*Other Skills:*
Combat Specialist:
~The user has an encyclopedic knowledge in hand-to-hand fighting
styles; therefore understanding and analyzing opponents style of
combat and flaws in the opponent's attack and defense. They can
also use attacks that can automatically knock down the opponent
or use the strength of the opponent to his favor.
The user has a vast knowledge of the opponent's body and their
limitations, have an incredible perception of opponents and the
users surrounding areas using it to his or her advantage, and
can copy or mix several types of martial arts and movements and
understand how a special attack works in matter of minutes. This
power can be enhanced by the users experience and improvement of
skill. Masters of this abilities can counter or detect flaws on
opponents Special Attacks.
Hunting Intuition:
~The user possesses extraordinary talent and instinct in/for
hunting all things. They can track anything under any
conditions, sense the weaknesses of their prey and exploit them
and finally kill or capture their prey.
Enhanced Tracking:
~The user can track others down easily via various means,
ranging from scents to footprints. With enough experience, the
user can follow tracks that are days or even weeks old. Some
users may be able to reconstruct what has happened by sniffing
around the area they are searching.
One Man Army:
~The user is able to fight against seemingly, overwhelming odds
with ease. They are a capable warrior on the battlefield,
decimating the enemy single-handedly and with in supernatural
finesse that pairs with the skill of more experienced fighters.
This ability can manifest in various ways but is usually the
result of extreme martial skill. Users of this ability are as
deadly at long-range combat as they are in close quarters.
Stealth Tactics:
~The user possesses an incredibly extensive knowledge and skill
in many types and ways of stealth tactics, enabling them to
easily slip in and out of areas undetected. Their abilities in
all manners of stealth are so refined they appear as mere
illusions to those who have been lucky to spot the user. The
users of this ability can move throughout even the most guarded
of areas and act in true discretion.
*Transformations:*
Spirit Unleashed:
~This is a technique that masters of the Pai Zhua style use in
order to fully release their power. In this power, the effect is
different on every Pai Zhua user, as some can take
characteristics of their animal spirit, and some can gain things
like spirit armor and other enhancements they can use. In Feng's
case, he simply gains a slight power up to his abilities. In
this form, she glows tan brown with coyote energy, which amps
her up more than normal temporarily. However, this can only be
used sparingly, as while this doubles her strength, it also
doubles the strain of fighting on her body. So usually she will
just power up to this to do a few attacks and use the amplified
form to attack.
Spirit Combination Technique:
~This lets Mingyu harmonize with her animal spirit, and become
one with a larger version of her spirit animal. In Mingyu's
case, this lets her fuse with a larger version of his eagle
spirit. When in this form, she can fight much larger opponents,
like dragons and other large monsters. She can still use her
other techniques while in this form, but this form is not too
useful against smaller opponents especially in cities where she
can't move around too easily. This technique only works on those
who have mastered harmonizing their spirits to their spirit
animals completely.
Monkey Princess:
~Just like her ancestor Sun Wukong, her arms and legs becomes
slightly more hairy, her spiky white hair grows longer and her
sharpen canines grows larger. Even though she has animal like
instincts, she does know who are her friends and who are her
enemies. In this form, she is ferocious towards enemies and kind
to her allies. She is very mischievous but is very helpful when
she feels like it. She's also wearing enchanted armor similar to
Sun Wukong's. This form doubles her chi abilities.
*Weaknesses:*
Pai Zhua are able to be taken out of play if they cannot
harmonize with their animal spirits. If they cannot call their
animal spirits, this weakens them severely. Skilled opponents
who are skilled enough to drain some of the Pai Zhua's animal
spirit energy can actually weaken a Pai Zhua to the point where
they cannot use their Pai Zhua techniques until they recover.
Pai Zhua must remain in harmony with their animal spirits. If
they become unbalanced, they will take a cursed form, in which
they will lose control and take on an animal like form. When in
this form, they can actually be forced to be stuck in the form
if they are in it too long. Usually a Pai Zhua can reharmonize
with some effort, but this usually takes a little time. Those
who can unbalance an animal spirit can easily take advantage of
this to take a Pai Zhua out of play. Pai Zhua users can have
their animal spirits drained by those who are familiar with the
style. Normally this is very difficult, but those who know how
to do this can weaken a Pai Zhua user. However, there is more to
this than simply weakening a Pai Zhua, as one who takes the
animal spirit can actually grow stronger from it and gain new
abilities from the spirit, putting even more of a power
difference. This is most prominent with other Pai Zhua users, as
some who become power hungry try to steal other users spirits to
gain power. This is made easier when the opponent has the same
spirit, as the two can harmonize and one can steal the others
much more easily. However, this is also true in reverse.
Mingyu is still a half blood, so oceanstone weapons can and will
harm if she's not careful. Since she's half Greek, weapons from
there may also harm her as well. Dark chi can counter her
light/normal chi. As a chi user, Mingyu is vulnerable to the
plant Jade along with weapons made out of them. Aura breaker
weapons may also harm her.
*Sun Wukong Weaknesses:*
~Because Mingyu has learned Monkey Shintai and being descended
from Sun Wukong, she has begun picking up some of the Monkey
King's mischievous personality traits which tends to irritate
opponents and even her own uncle at times. She can't help but to
show some of these mischievous traits when challenged to a fight
no matter how hard she tries to be serious (half of the times,
she does try). Sun Wukong was known never to back down from a
challenge which lead to his eventual imprisonment by the Jade
General and this trait seeps into wielders of his artifacts and
his descendants. If challenged to fight whether for honor or
not, the wielder of the artifacts or descendants of Sun Wukong
will accept almost every time. Mingyu may be near absolute with
immortality, but she can still die once every single molecule of
her is destroyed completely. Someone with immortality
manipulation/negation might make her vulnerable. Mingyu can
still be harm by weapons that can harm immortal beings such as
varanium and oceanstone. Her tail is pretty sensitive, even
though it's very strong. Although her soul is protected from all
soul powers, her soul can still be taken by soul reapers and can
still be taken to the afterlife.
*Weapons:*
Staff of Sun Wukong:
~Brief History: Sun Wukong's primary weapon, originally an iron
rod used to measure the depth of the sea. The Rúyì Jīn
Gū Bàng was given to him by Ào Guǎng. The staff weighs
13,500 jin (8.1 tons), but Wùkōng, his descendants and/or
those who are worthy can lift it easily and not only gain his
ability but also change it to any size. He usually shrinks it to
the size of a sewing needle and puts it behind his apple when he
is not using it. The staff uses balanced (Light and Dark) Chi
energies and can only be wielded by the strongest chosen Chi
master warriors. The staff can change size and length with just
a thought from the user.
This staff was given to Mingyu by Grandmaster Yan Zhao, who said
that she is ready and worthy to wield the weapon.
Three Staff Nunchaku:
~A weapon that was given to her from the Southern Shaolin
Temple. This weapon can stretch to incredible lengths, and is
infused with the power of ice, fire and lightning, and can
change its style with two additional modes: a fire bō staff
and lightning chain forms.
Silat Karambits:
~Two small curved silver blades that have been blessed by a
Indonesian priestess. She use this in close combat and prove to
others how dangerous this little weapon is.
*Items:*
Godly Flask:
~A gift from an old Norse friend when she went to the States.
Although most liquor doesn't get her drunk, this flask is filled
with godly liquor that not only gets her drunk but also
amplifies her chi.
Mystic Flask:
~Nothing too special since it's a silver flask filled with
infinite booze of her choosing.
*Personality:*
Mingyu is cheerful and mischievous demigoddess who people can't
tell if she take things seriously or not. She can actually be
immature and annoying around her friends and enemies depending
on the situation. There are times when she even taunt her
opponents by making monkey calls, taunting back flips or making
small jokes. Despite her pain in the ass ways, Mingyu is a kind,
caring and honorable monk. She is also a pretty good mentor when
it comes to martial arts and chi along with having the desire to
learn new abilities and be fascinated by extraordinary powers.
She's pretty protective of her allies and loved ones to the
point of knocking someone's teeth out if they even insult her
loved ones, despite their faults. Despite her immaturity and her
pranks, Mingyu is surprisingly an honorable fighter but is more
than willing to play brutal and dirty if someone does it first.
*Bio:*
Mingyu was born in the Shaolin temple in China and was raised by
monks. Her mother, taught Mingyu martial arts, meditation and
how to use her powers at a young age. During her years as a
monk, her mother tells her stories about eastern and western
myths. Especially the one about Dionysus. On her 12th birthday,
she finally got to meet her father, Dionysus. After their small
reunion and Mingyu went off to play with her friends, Dionysus
went to go speak to Jasmine alone. He warned her about the war
with the titans and giants are coming and taken half of the
gods. He also said that the army of monsters are coming soon and
that the temple will be in danger. Jasmine was horrified but the
both of them agreed to take Mingyu to a safe place.
Unfortunately, Mingyu overheard the conversation and got very
worried. At night, when Jasmine was going to explain it to her,
Mingyu told her that she heard them and that she wonders if
she'll ever see her again. Jasmine held back tears but told her
that she's not sure but she said to Mingyu to no matter what
happens, that she must be strong. Mingyu held back tears as well
and hugged her, promising that she will. When the army came,
Mingyu's uncle Feng, took Mingyu to Indonesia where his brother
lives. He took the girl to the village and asked Grandmaster Yan
Zhao if he can teach her. Some people mumble that she's too
young and other slander such as her being a half breed but the
grandmaster approved it not only because she's a demigod but
believes that she has potential. The training days were pretty
rough for her but she later got the hang of it when the
grandmaster taught her Silat martial arts. Some said that she
got the spirit of the monkey in her because the way she fights
and sometimes taunt people. When she was 15, she got the habit
of drinking. At a party, her uncle found out that she had 10
bottles of alcohol that is mostly sake, rum, beer and tequila.
The masters went to go check on her but the grandmaster told
them that's she's fine since she's Dionysus's child. A few
martial arts that were tired of Mingyu's crap, thought that this
was the perfect chance of fighting her. Unfortunately, they were
wrong when she beat them all while intoxicated. When she beat
them, she grab a small glass, drink it and passed out. She later
woke up on the bed like nothing happened last night. Feng was
just happy that she's alright but scolded her for being
careless. Later on, her chi got stronger and they can sense the
spirit of the Monkey King inside of her. The grandmaster told
Feng that he has to teach her. Feng agreed and start teaching
Mingyu how to use her powers after telling her the story of the
Monkey King, Sun Wukong. When she mastered it at the age of 17,
she got the Monkey King staff. Feng was proud of her and said
that her parents would be proud as well. She hugged him tightly
but bowed to her other masters. When she turn 18, she left and
went to explore the world. She wants to stop the titans gone but
she chose not to rush things and take an easy life. Even if it
means getting drunk.
