Re: Darkfire-Duperon Family Christmas Dinner

Yuffie hugs Acillia back with a cheerful smile and giggles a
bit. Yuffie: Nice to meet you too. She says to Acillia and then
steps back from the hug when done and says to Kindron. Yuffie:
Good. We don't have enough huggers in the family so I don't mind
another. She then goes to Alice since Hei is busy explaining
male human anatomy to Leonidas and his two brothers and gives
Alice a big hug. Yuffie: You must be Hei's girl. I'm Yuffie.
Leonidas listens to Hei and begins to chuckle (the best a lion
can chuckle) a bit as Hei just basically confirms what Leonidas
had a feeling about. Leonidas: "I figure male two-leggers were
similar to lions, but my brothers and I never knew what happened
to your tails. Hopefully you've cleared things up for Romeo, and
thank you for such a clear explanation, Hei."
Romeo tilts his head as he listens to Hei explain how male human
anatomy. He understands now what is in front of them is the same
as his own manly equipment, but now he has another question that
Hei may not be able to answer. Romeo: "Why would nature take
tails way from two leggers though? They're so useful and even
fun. I love chasing my own tail and making myself dizzy when I'm
bored for example. Plus how do you keep balance on things like a
thin branch or a narrow cliff edge?" Romeo asks Hei
telepathically as he tilts his head the other way with wide eye
curiosity.
Ander perks up in interest to hear Hei's answer to Romeo's
question about balance but mostly because he can tell that Romeo
is getting naively silly with his questions and probably just
for attention. Ander finds it entertaining to see how far
Romeo's curiosity can go before someone stops him.
Josephine face palms at what Romeo says to Hei and shakes her
head a bit. Josephine: You really don't have to answer those
questions, Hei. I've tried explaining human balancing abilities
to Romeo so many times. I swear he's a lion version of Little
Mindy from the Animaniacs cartoon show except he does just go
"why?.. why?.. okay, lady. luv you. buh-bye." She says out loud
from behind her hand as she slides her hand into fingers
pinching the bridge of her nose position.
Andhar gives a little purr as Kendrix pets him a little and then
snuggles close as he holds balance on Kendrix's shoulder.
Charlie smiles brightly to Future Kendra. Charlie: Yeah, I sure
did get lucky.. actually more like we got lucky. He's really
taking a shine to Kendrix and will probably be his new
mini-shadow. She says with a giggle.

Alice: Alice Rynn. She says, hugging Yuffie back. Alice wasn't
really a hugger, but was used to being hugged by those like
Acillia.
Jasmine, Rose and little Kendra were all looking at Yuffie
curiously, since they hadn't met Yuffie yet.
Hei: There's a few different possible answers as to why some
races like humans don't have tails anymore. However, it's not
entirely certain. Humans and some forms of apes learned to walk
on two legs, and it's believed that it's the reason why tails
are no longer necessary for us. When four legged creatures walk,
they use more energy to walk and it's believed the tail helps
keep you balanced. Whereas with two legs, we take advantage of
gravity and don't use as much energy. And since we're usually
standing up vertically, we don't need a balance because our
bodies have evolved in way that our center of gravity is aligned
with our spines and we no longer need that support when we walk
because we take advantage of gravity. But it's mostly theory and
guessing since we weren't around to see the moment humans and
apes stopped developing tails. And without needing a tail,
humans and some apes lost the gene for it because it would just
require more energy to maintain an appendage we don't need. He
explains to Romeo. He then turns to Josephine. It's fine. I
don't mind questions.
Kendra: Oh yeah. I get the feeling he's already gotten attached
to Kendrix. She says in response to Charlie's comment.
