Barbas: It’s almost just as bad as Xeles and much worse than
Phantom. Though I’ve seen him around too, they’re business
partners of sorts. Anyhow, she’s an ally of Malice, not a
Malician by any means, but she definitely has a working exchange
for power with him.
With Kyla:
She seemed to get lucky as Deirdre, who had been in the middle
of dinner, seems to notice the incessant squeaking coming from
the creature. She looks down at it with a raised eyebrow.
Deirdre: Can I help you?

The squirrel starts telling Deirdre that it's a messenger from
her alternate daughter, Kyla along with the fact that she is
needed in Barbas' home immediately.

Barbas: I mean he really is one from what I’ve heard, but he’s
also not a person I want to go toe to toe with.
With Deirdre:
She nods, dinner now forgotten, as she rises and rushes about to
pull on shoes and a coat. She’s filled with an urgency that is
rarely found in her. Deirdre: Shoes, coat, keys…I feel like I’m
forgetting something... She looks at the squirrel. Ah, f*ck it.
No time.

Kendrix: Yeah, based on what I've heard about him... He's not
one to be taken lightly, especially if you end up in the void
where he can use his full power on you.

He reaches up and pulls down a whiskey bottle, raising an
eyebrow in a silent question to Kendrix. Barbas: Not taken
lightly indeed. I wouldn’t take her lightly either. I have a
feeling I only experienced a shadow of what power she holds, and
that shadow hurt quite a bit. I warn you against going after
her, at least for now. I will say I did get an interesting read.
She’s fond of a version of you. Afraid of losing him or worse
yet being stabbed in the back by him.
With Deirdre
Deirdre: Come on then Kayla. She swipes a bag off a nearby hook
before vanishing in a haze of broken lights, shimmering off to
Barbas’ home. Her form of teleportation is always faster than
walking.

Once Deirdre heads off, the squirrel vanishes as well. Kyla then
comes back conscious and turn to the men talking.
Kyla: Mom's on her way. She should be here no less than a
minute.

Kendrix: Well... I can tell you my shadows and most of my other
abilities have gotten a lot stronger while you've been gone.
I've even been pushing the fear abilities you taught me to new
levels. He stops and thinks though once Barbas mentions another
version of him. I'm not worried about void power. I know how to
counter that, thanks to my Celestian abilities I gained. But
this other me... I may do some research before I pick a fight
with him. So far, I have yet to meet a weak version of me, so I
don't expect this to be any different. He says in thought.

Barbas shifts his gaze to Kayla with a nod. Thanks Kay for
retrieving her. She might have more answers or create more
questions. It depends on how soon she realized I was not where I
was meant to be. He pours enough glances for the group before
settling down on a nearby chair. His body betraying how ran
through he is more than his words. Either way we have a lot of
fact finding to be done and getting my things back in order will
be h*ll…literally. There’s also the consideration that her world
doesn’t have access to Heaven or Hell amongst other problems.
I’m worried she may go after others, possibly not here
necessarily but the multiverse is far and wide. May have done it
before honestly, but that’s speculation on my part.
Deirdre arrives scatterbrained and knocking into Kayla on the
landing. Kendrix has met her a few times in between coming
around to check up on them all and the will debacle. Deirdre: Oh
sh*t sorry. She tosses her things in a rush to check on her
father who mostly swats her away. How long has he been back?
What happened?
