London Story: In Honor of the Fallen

Date: 2 Weeks before the Arrival of Kailo and Alysa Darkfire
Kendrix: This is the point of no return. We attack the bar, I
don't think that angel and other me will stop until they hunt
you down. If you don't want to do this, this is our last chance
to back off. You know I'll support you no matter what. He says
to Donny.
Donny readies his sword, holding a half smoked blunt that was
still lit. Donny: I'm not backing down, Kendrix... I have to
grieve my father a second time. That a*shole clone of yours is
going to pay a steep price for that. He says with a dark
expression. It was rare he wasn't calling Kendrix "Kenny" which
showed just how serious he was right now. I'm just sorry that
your organization will probably get into a lot of trouble for
this... I know you didn't attack this place before for a reason.
I hate that I'm basically asking you to basically declare open
war on these guys.
Kendrix: We'll lose a little support... But it's nothing we
can't get back. You know how my family works, bro. Even if we're
not blood related, family is what matters most to us, just like
your family. You'd do the same for me if it was my dad laying on
the ground. He smiles a bit. Actually... You DID do the same
thing for me back then... He says, remembering how he felt in
his timeline when his father died when he was a child.
Donny: No matter how this goes, bro. I'm glad to fight next to
you again.
Kendrix: Me too, Donny... Me too. Let's just make sure we don't
die here. He says as he throws a crimson flame fireball at the
bar, at the same time Donny throws his homemade bomb he made.
Meanwhile, inside the bar.
It was another day for Kuroshi Kagema, overseeing Nightshade's
operations. He was out in on the town, spending time at
Zenrael's bar. However, today was different when a huge
explosion rocked the bar, surprising Zenrael and Kuroshi.
Kuroshi runs out to see what was going on, while Zenrael walks
with a serious look (as though he was contemplating what he was
going to do to the people who dared attack his bar.
When Kuroshi reached the front of the bar, he saw Kendrix and
Future Donny standing in the midst of the explosion. Kendrix was
in his Darkfire released form, which was a mix of all of his
powers that looked like a death wraith/shadow dragon mix.
Donovan was in his death wraith battle form. The two were going
all out from the get-go, not holding anything back.
Upon seeing them, Kuroshi looks to Kendrix with a somewhat
concerned look.
Kuroshi: Kid... You must be OUT of your mind to be attacking our
bar... How many inno- He says to Kendrix and Donny before
Kendrix cuts him off
Kendrix: Shut up! He says angrily, cutting off Kuroshi as he
fires a blast of golden distortion lightning at him, forcing
Kuroshi to dodge the attack.
Donny throws his blunt into the back of the bar, but had turned
it into a bomb that exploded the stage. It was unusual, but
Donny was rarely ever serious as he held his soul sword toward
Kuroshi. Kendrix was holding his two original swords he got from
his father, Zangetsu and Kusanagi since he knew his other swords
would be too slow for the kind of fight they had ahead of them.
The two just stare down Kuroshi and did nothing as people ran
out of the bar in fear, since the people there weren't their
targets. Donny was not only glowing with smoke from his conduit
abilities, but he had also seemed to have temporarily copied
Kendrix's abilities as they both glowed with demonic fear
energy. While Kendrix had his pride shadows, Donovan's darkness
was purifying darkness he had learned from Kendrix but still had
Kendrix's fear energy mixed in.
Kuroshi gets a serious look as he studies them for a moment.
Kuroshi: I take it this isn't just about the whole Black Sun vs
Nightshade thing, is it? He says, noticing how angry the two of
them were.
Donny: We came to kill your ass. He says simply.
Kendrix: We're here about Delsin Rowe. We're here to give you
the same treatment you gave him.
Kuroshi: Right... That. He scratches his head and sighs. You
know... That wasn't personal or anything. I was actually kind of
proud of how strong he got because of me. He says with a serious
expression.
Donny: I don't care. You still murdered him. He says angrily.
Kuroshi summons his dual edged collector scythe. Kuroshi: Listen
kid... If it makes you feel better... He made sure I couldn't
take his soul. So he's probably somewhere in the Hall of Souls
or something. Hell, you could probably go visit him if you
wanted to... The guy was a real challenge to the very end. I
couldn't even get what I went after him for because I couldn't
devour his soul. He says, not wanting to tell Kendrix that he
had gone looking for Delsin's powers as a conduit in order to
try and copy some other abilities to copy certain abilities that
would counter Kendrix's abilities he didn't have.
Donny: I plan to... When I take him what's left of your broken
body so he can destroy what's left of you when we're done. He
says to Kuroshi.
Kuroshi: I'd say you shouldn't throw away your life... But it's
too late for that discussion... He died to protect his family
from me, and now I'm going to have to do something I was hoping
I wouldn't have to do out of respect for him. He says with a
dark expression as he shines with Lucifer's demonic fallen light
since it was the only power he knew he had that Kendrix didn't
have. Your father is going to be severely disappoint in you for
wasting your life here today, boys. And I promise your souls
will receive the full Hell of Souls treatment when I'm done with
you.
As the roof comes down around them, Zenrael flies up with his
wings visible to stand on a broken metal beam as he looks to
Kendrix and Donny.
Zenrael: Do you have ANY idea how long this is going to take to
repair?! DO I COME DOWN TO YOUR BAR AND RUIN EVERYTHING?! He
yells at Kendrix and Donny.
Kendrix looks over to Zenrael. Kendrix: Shut up and stay out of
this.
Zenrael grits his teeth angrily as he takes the "glaring
daggers" phrase literally, as he looks down at a metal beam and
uses his earth manipulation to rip it apart and all the metal to
him as he glares at Kendrix and Donny.
However, Zenrael is interrupted by a dagger to the back, which
was followed by an electrocution that caused him to scream in
pain.
Zenrael turns and forces the dagger out of his back as he turns
and sees Hei and Alice, both standing in their full assassin
attire.
Hei: Let them do their thing. Your fight today will be with us.
He says to Zenrael as he pulls his spear (Which was on a wire
line) back to him.
Zenrael summons his grigori sword, and gets ready. Zenrael: Once
I kill you... We're going to murder everyone in Black Sun! He
says angrily.
Alice: Funny... I was about to say I'm going to enjoy brutally
beating down all your friends to a bloody pulp when we're done
with you. She says in response to Zenrael's comment with a
smile. Hei and Alice attack, forcing their fight with Zenrael
elsewhere.
As dark spirits start appearing, Malcolm Merlyn snipes the dark
spirits that were coming out of the wreckage with arrows using
Kindron's spirit purification material, spyrite.
Not far away, Milos Sojikov goes and fires his gun, attacking
Nightshade members who were in the club and trying to attack as
well.
Milos: How's the situation look so far, brother? He says through
telepathy to Kindron Darkfire who was in the distance, hidden.
Kindron: Nothing yet, but the vampire ninjas and alchemists are
lying in wait. If the Witches of Salem come to help, we should
be able to get our job done of keeping them from interfering
with you guys. He says to Milos.
As more Nightshade members appear, Black Sun members led by
Jason Todd and Mecha Shadow come out of the shadows and attack
the Nightshade members, with Jason and Mecha Shadow effortlessly
taking out most of them.
Kuroshi: So... It seems you brats didn't come alone. Smart...
And I won't come alone either when I destroy your home after
this! He says as he gets ready to attack. He runs in and tries
to slash Kendrix and Donny, with both of them blocking the
attack with their swords.
Kendrix and Donny avoid Kuroshi, attacking in a flurry of
slashes that Kuroshi blocks as Kendrix and Donny stay on
opposite sides of Kuroshi to confuse him and attack. Though
thankfully for Kuroshi, he can try to keep up with them using
his scythe which was a dual edged scythe as he blocks them both.
Kuroshi jumps away, trying to separate Kendrix and Donny, but
seems to fail as Kendrix was also behind him as he lands, to
which it seemed a second Kendrix attacked him and cut him in the
back. Kuroshi yells, mostly in surprise, but also anger as he
moves away from the second Kendrix. However, a third Kendrix
cuts him off, and slashes him again, knocking him to the ground.
Two more Donny's appear as well and slash Kuroshi as Kuroshi was
still trying to figure out why there were so many Donny's and
Kendrix's.
Kuroshi explodes with demonic fallen light and fires blasts of
it to try and hit all of them, to the two new Donnys and
Kendrix's both are hit and disappear in a burst of shadows.
Kuroshi: What the... He says, realizing the technique that must
have created the clones of Kendrix and Donny was a technique he
didn't recognize even with Kendrix's power from when they
separated.
Kuroshi goes and attacks again, glowing with whispering darkness
as he goes to attack the two.
However, Kendrix and Donny were ready, and slash right through
Kuroshi's darkness with purifying darkness and his scythe,
breaking it in two as they slash Kuroshi again. The two then
blast Kuroshi with a blast of crimson lightning, firing more
blasts of lightning as they switch to gold distortion lightning
that blasts through Kuroshi as well.
Kuroshi turns into shadows and appears above them, using shadow
wings to fly. Kuroshi: Well... This was NOT how I expected this
little fight to turn out. He says, but he looks at his wounds
from earlier and realizes they hadn't healed yet despite his
Darkfire regeneration (from Kendrix's power).
Kuroshi: I don't understand... What the hell kind of powers are
you two using?!
Kendrix: Wouldn't you like to know? He says with a smile.
Kuroshi: Gah! That's not how this works! You're supposed to
explain your powers! That's how we always fought! He says
angrily to Kendrix.
Kendrix: Well you didn't murder a family member in our previous
fights. He says as he seems to move into the shadows and shadow
moves behind Kuroshi. Kuroshi can barely react before Kendrix
was behind him and fires a blast of lightning from his fingers
after doing a few hand signs. As Kuroshi falls to the ground,
Donny blasts him with his own lightning, knocking him through
the remains of the bar.
Kuroshi jumps out of the rubble. Kuroshi: DAMN... When did you
learn vampire ninja skills?! He says, having recognized their
hand signs and knew why he wasn't healing now.
Donny: Just don't fade away completely okay? I need at least a
piece of you to take to my father. He says darkly as he blasts
Kuroshi again with a blast of lightning. Since the vampire ninja
skills used spirit destruction, Donny's and Kendrix's lightning
was doing severe damage to Kuroshi since dark spirits are highly
vulnerable to spirit destruction skills.
Kuroshi, realizing he was in trouble, tries to teleport away,
but realizes his teleportation doesn't work. Kuroshi: Oh come
on! He says angrily. I can't teleport either?! He gets up, and
summons the pieces of his scythe. He gets ready to attack, but
realizes that Donny and Kendrix were gone as they vanish into
the shadows. It was rare for Kuroshi to not sense shadow
melding, but now that he knew what he was dealing with, he knew
why. One thing about vampire ninja shadow melding was that they
could hide from both death wraiths and dark spirits.
From every shadow around him, more lightning blasts out of the
shadows at Kuroshi, taking his body apart piece by piece.
However, Kuroshi wasn't intent on letting himself get destroyed,
so he blasts his demonic fallen light in a burst of a flashbang
manipulation of light, which forced Donovan and Kendrix back to
normal form (as they couldn't remain in their death wraith forms
during a flashbang without taking damage).
Kuroshi tries to fire light beams at Donny and Kendrix, and
while Kendrix and Donny do take a few hits, Donny and Kendrix's
Darkfire healing abilities kick in quickly and heal the damage
since they manage to avoid vital attacks.
The two create more clones, which fire blasts of spirit
destruction lightning at Kuroshi. Kuroshi uses his scythe blades
to try and block a few of them, but loses an arm to one blast of
lightning, and his other leg ends up shot out as he falls to the
ground.
As Kendrix and Donny walk up to Kuroshi, Kuroshi tries to use
his free arm and his scythe to pull himself away from Kendrix
and Donny as the two walk up and get ready to fry him with their
lightning again.
Donny: My name is Donovan Shadow-Rowe... You killed my father.
Prepare to die. He says.
Kendrix: Really Donny? Now? He says, recognizing the reference
Donny made.
Donny just keeps his eyes on Kuroshi. Donny: Hey... It works
right? He says before blasting Kuroshi again destroying his
head.
However, the head being destroyed doesn't stop Kuroshi, as his
body seems to still move.
Donny: Damn... I know future Mom never trained us to handle dark
spirits... But I didn't know he'd still be able to move.
Kendrix: Well... We better hurry before he starts to recover. He
says as he forms a lightning attack to disable Kuroshi's body.
Kuroshi then seems to vanish into the ground as the ground opens
up and seems to eat the body. Kendrix recognized it immediately
as alchemy.
Before Kendrix and Donny could react, a new man attacks the two,
forcing them back. It was obvious this was a werewolf, and had
the power of alchemy and the power of the Black on his side. The
man was Silvio Mandretti, formerly Kirnan the Bloodclaw
Alchemist. Silvio seems to absorb the life energy around him as
he shines with the power of the Black. Kendrix and Donny stop
for a moment, like every cell in their body was screaming at
them to not fight Silvio.
Donny: Who is that?! He wasn't on your lists! He says angrily as
he goes to attack. However, unlike Kuroshi, Silvio grabs Donny's
wrist. Silvio not only breaks Donny's wrist, but using the Black
to absorb some of his life energy.
Kendrix: Donny! He says as he disappears and reappears behind
Silvio, and attacks, but Silvio jumps over him and kicks him,
knocking Kendrix and Donny into a pile of rubble, almost
expecting Kendrix's attack.
Elsewhere, Eric Matthews and Nathan Harris-Walker appear,
attacking Mecha Shadow, with Nathan firing his guns at Milos and
Jason Todd, knocking them back. With Mecha Shadow damaged, he
moves back, but also realizes his anti-teleportation tech was
now disabled from the attack.
Silvio: I can't believe you lost to children, Kuroshi Kagema...
You owe me big for this one. And I expect you to deliver. You're
lucky I'm not running Nightshade or an attack like this would
never have worked. He says to Kuroshi as he pulls him out of the
ground. Silvio uses his Black power to give some energy to
Kuroshi, and restore part of his body (which meant restoring his
head in this case). He then looks to Kendrix and Donny who were
in the rubble still Next time, children.
Apparently, Silvio figures it out as well, and disappears with
Kuroshi, while Eric and Nathan disappear as well.
Kendrix and Donny come out of the rubble, but realize that all
their enemies were now gone.
Kendrix: GODD*MNIT! WE HAD HIM DEAD TO RIGHTS! WHO THE F*CKING
HELL WAS THAT?! He yells angrily. Seriously! How did we f*ck
that up?! He says bitterly.
Donny growls angrily. He gets up, but falls back down. Donny:
Guy took my life energy... Kenny... I can't believe I'm about to
say this, but I didn't copy his abilities. I was really scared
of that dark power he had. Every fiber of my being told me not
to copy it. That's the first time my instincts have told me not
to copy a power. He says as Kendrix comes over and helps him up
since Donny was weak.
Kendrix: I don't know what that was... But something told me to
be wary of that power too. It was almost like the world itself
spoke to me and said not to let him touch us. I... don't know
how to explain it. He says.
As Hei and Alice reappear in bursts of speed using Sonido, Hei
looks to Kendrix.
Hei: I take it you didn't kill him.
Kendrix: No... Someone else showed up and saved him before Donny
and I could. He wasn't in our intelligence at all!
Hei: I didn't see him. But apparently the Witches and Nightshade
bailed once Mecha Shadow went down. We couldn't kill the fallen
angel, but we did wound him enough that I don't think he'll be a
problem anytime soon. I left a few varanium shards in him that
are not going to heal until he removes them. That's going to
take some time and a lot of blood filtering. So at least he'll
be out of commission.
Kendrix: I'm guessing that other me will be out of commission
for a little while too. But that other guy could give him life
energy which restored him, so I honestly don't know.
Donny: I wanted ONE thing today! He says, stomping on the ground
and throwing his sword at a rock, which destroys the rock before
the sword disappears back to Donny's soul
Kendrix: We need to regroup... Pretty sure we just declared war
on them.
Hei: Agreed. Let's go. We'll discuss it back at the bar. Shin
should have it ready for us. He said he'd have drinks ready for
everyone. He looks to Kendrix. At the very least... We can rest
assured Phantom will NOT be happy with them for letting his bar
be attacked. But we already made arrangements with Death that
he's going to keep Phantom from interfering in our fight with
them in the future other than basically just financial support.
Donny: Then I guess I can live with that for now... If Phantom
gives them hell for letting us attack their bar, I think I can
consider that good revenge for the moment.
Donny looks down, then nods to Kendrix who looks at him, as
Kendrix was waiting to see how Donny responded before okaying
the teleportation by Hei.
Hei teleports them away, and the members of Black Sun follow
Hei's lead and go back to Black Sun.
On the way back, Kendrix and Donny were upset they didn't get to
kill Delsin's killer, but Kendrix was at least happy that they
didn't suffer any casualties on their side.
And at least, this would cripple Nightshade for a little
while... But Kendrix and Hei couldn't even be sure of that since
it was possible Silvio could counterattack immediately if he
wanted to.
Though they didn't kill Kuroshi, Donny and Kendrix did beat him,
and while it was unlikely they'd catch him by surprise like that
again with their techniques, it was obvious that they finally
had a real edge on Kuroshi that not even he could counter
easily.
Once back at Hei's bar, Shin starts passing out the group's
drinks, with even Kindron and the vampire ninjas and werewolf
alchemists joining the group.
Hei holds up his glass. Hei: I can't say Delsin was my favorite
person around... But he was a friend and he was family, whether
blood related or not. So tonight we honor his memory, and honor
a fallen warrior who fought to his last breath to protect his
family. The entire group toasts, even those that didn't know
Delsin. We will hold another toast for Anna Shadow and Kierran
Black when they get here. He says, since he'd called Anna and
Kierran to meet them all at the bar. It was going to take some
explaining that they all basically went after Kuroshi, but he
were hoping that Anna would understand why they didn't include
her in the attack plans since the original plan was to bring
news that they killed Delsin's killer even if it didn't go the
way they planned (and Donny requested Anna and Kierran not be
told just in case things went wrong).
At least a message was clearly sent to Nightshade and to others
who might challenge Black Sun: Beware retaliation if someone has
the nerve to attack the family.
End.
