Surprise, Kendrix!

Drăculești zombie army attacks don't happen to
often along the Chinese border, but they do happen from time to
time. That's mostly thanks to the Drăculești
family conquering India, Napal, and Pakistan. Thankfully the
Darkfires have a strong alliance with Russia which helps keep
the Drăculești family from advancing into both
countries. Another more common event is unpredictable ley line
storms which makes fighting with any mystical and supernatural
powers impossible from the time they start and even 24 hours
after when it comes to mystical abilities since all natural
mystical energies typically drawn by magic, mana, and chi
abilities in up to a 10 mile radius has been used up by the
storm, a mystic dead zone basically.
Now combine a zombie army attack with a ley line storm, and you
have Kialo's and Alysa's day today. Both the storm and
the attack happened so close together that Kialo swore it was
somehow planned. The zombie army was spotted advancing on one of
the Imperial fortresses along the Himalayan mountains. Kialo had
been visiting the fortress with his sister on official
inspection duty ordered by their father which Kialo always found
boring. Luckily, Kendrix had sent Alysa too since she would
actually do the inspection of the fortress and soldiers. Now
they're fighting along side the soldiers with a ley line
storm inhibiting the use of powers because powers make the user
a target of mystic "lightning" bolts produced by the storm.
The number of zombies, both human and werewolf, was larger than
the number of Imperial soldiers. Kialo and Alysa are back to
back and fighting fully surrounded by zombies.
Kialo: Damnit! We're surrounded and losing all non vampire
troops fast! Kialo calls back to his sister behind him as he
cuts several zombies down that had lunged at him.
Alysa: They knew the consequences when they charged with the
rest of us! Don't weep or seek stupid vengeance for their
honorable deaths! Alysa called back as she fires an armor
piercing bullet through a line of zombie heads while running her
sword through the head of one charging at her. Alysa: Just stay
focused on the fight and don't do anything stupid just like
Grandpa always says!
Kialo: Screw that! Love Grandpa to death, but he ain't here
getting his ass kicked like we all are! Kialo uses his vampiric
speed and slashes four more zombies to ribbons. Kialo: Desperate
times call for desperate measures as Dad would say!
Alysa: DON'T YOU DARE, KIA!! The deadly seriousness could
easily be heard over the sounds of battlefield chaos as she uses
the motionless zombie stuck on her sword as a battering ram on
another group of charging zombies, breaking the body away from
the impaled human zombie head stuck on her sword.
Kialo: Come on! Where's your sense of adventure?
Alysa: I left it home after the last time you used your powers
in a ley line storm and got us teleported to the middle of
nowhere Kansas by a mystic bolt!
Kialo: Yeah, that was fun. A lot of damn corn though. The memory
distracted Kialo just enough for a zombie werewolf to get close
and bite down hard on Kialo's left arm. Kialo: Damnit!
Arrrrh! Kialo yells out as he forces the zombie's mouth
open. Even though he'll regenerate and is immune to the
supernatural bacteria that makes these zombies, Kialo still gets
p*ssed off and loses it. He grabs the zombie werewolf by the
throat as his eyes glow crimson red and his clothes change the
same color as crimson energy and fire build and flow through his
body. Kialo: Enough mundane style of fighting. He growls out as
his right hand bursts into crimson fire. Kialo: Time to
incinerate the Deados.
Alysa instantly feels her brother going into his full vampire
form and tries to stop him. Alysa: Don't do it, Kialo!! But
she's already too late to stop him. As his powers flare
while holding the rotting flesh werewolf, a sudden mystic
"lightning" bolt strikes down on the two of them, the zombie
werewolf in Kialo's grip, and two human zombies. Then they
were all gone after the flash of pale blue mystic light.
London Universe: Black Sun's training yard
Anna had begun regular training sessions with Kendrix and Hei
after learning of the absorption power that she had somehow
developed from her time with Delsin. The discovery was
accidental and found herself absorbing dark fire that she had
inadvertently got close to. She remembered that Delsin had said
that large amounts of energy are needed to be absorbed or
regular exposure in order to make it permanent so she wasn't
exactly sure how long she would be able to wield the element of
dark fire. Regardless of that detail, she still thought it would
be a good idea to learn from those who know the element best.
It's actually been a fairly quiet day with Donny being in
kindergarten while Cheyenne has been kept busy with her nanny.
Anna was glad to have a clear mind during this training session
since last time she set a small portion of Keirran's shirt
on fire by accident. Anna steps into the training area wearing
training clothes and looks to Hei and Kendrix. Anna: So
hopefully I'm more clear minded this time and won't set
any spectators on fire. So are we going to focus on just
elemental techniques or will Kendrix end the session with a spar
against Shadowstalker? The last part may sound like a joke but
Shadowstalker has actually developed a liking towards Kendrix..
albeit an enjoyment of sparring type like but a liking none the
less.

Kendrix: If she wants to. I am still testing out certain combat
techniques if she wants to be a test subject. Father and I have
been working on a new substyle of our Darkfire Kenpo. He says in
response to Anna's comment.
To the side with Hei, Future Donny was also present, smoking a
blunt.
Seeing Future Donny, Kendrix turned his head to him. Kendrix: Do
you HAVE to smoke here, Donny?
Donny: I smoke everywhere, man. Some people bake food as a
hobby... I bake myself. He says jokingly.

Anna sighs and face palms at Future Donavon. Anna: Perfect
example of like father, like son and has been that way since
birth. Anna then removes her hand from her face, and with a bit
of a smartarse tone, she grins a bit. Anna: Also a perfect
reason why I haven't told Donavon where my four hydroponic
greenhouses with two of Delsin's best hybrids are. She then
looks to Kendrix. Anna: Shadowstalker is always up for a good
sparring match against you which gives me mental peace for a few
days when the two of you do spar. So go nuts when I let her out,
but first things first, dark fire training so I don't set
anything else on fire.
As Anna finishes the last part, a ball of pale blue mystic
energy forms not far from the group. The glowing ball resembles
a basketball sized globe of ball lightning. Shadowstalker is the
first to notice and whispers a warning in Anna's mind.
Shadowstalker: "Something is odd about that ball of light."

Donny: Don't worry. Little bro will have me for the good
stuff. He says to Anna before the energy appears.
Kendrix gets ready with gold distortion flames, forming them in
his hand. Kendrix: I could just burn it up with my gold
distortion flames...
Hei: No... We don't know what kind of energy it is, and your
flames could create a problem. Kendra said you and your
alternate self can't use that gold power of yours if we want
our dimension to recover the distortion effects it's already
suffered. He says to Kendrix.

Anna: Hei is right, Kendrix. Anna studies the ball of mystic
energy with fascination. Anna: I've learned from
conversations with Feling that sometimes random balls like this
are caused by rift activity in her time period and attacking
something like this could have a number of random affects. This
could be the same case when you take into account the current
situation of mass random appearances of alternate dimension
people. As Anna speaks and watches the ball of mystic energy
grows quickly. Anna: Oh now that could be bad. We might want to
get back and cover our eyes. Anna says as she takes a step back
and covers her eyes as the ball looks like it's about to
burst.

Kendrix was about to respond, but realizes the ball is about to
explode when Anna mentions it. He creates a shield of gold
distortion lightning around them, to put them in their own
time-space bubble to protect them from the energy. Hei covers
his eyes, while Kendrix focuses on trying to keep up the barrier
of gold distortion lightning. Donny was just watching, smoking,
and didn't seem to care about the light.

The ball explodes harmlessly into bright pale blue light and
then fades away, leaving the area feeling charged with energy.
In place of the ball stands Kialo with a death grip on a zombie
werewolf, Alysa with her back to his and impaled human zombie
head sword in her right hand while her left arm covers her eyes
with gun in hand, and two stumbling human zombies. All of them
are stunned and partially blinded from the effects of the
dimensional teleportation bolt. Kialo's eyes can just make
out the figures of Hei, Kendrix, Future Donavon, and Anna as he
looks around when realizing that he didn't hear fighting.
Kialo: I don't think that we ended up in Kansas this time,
Toto.
Alysa: Damnit, Kialo! I'm going to kick your arse when I can
see again! Alysa scolds Kialo as she rubs her eyes with her left
arm.

Kendrix releases his barrier. Kendrix: Goddamnit! Kendra said we
were done with this random ass appearing alternates crap! He
says, somewhat annoyed.
Hei: She said that only if everyone stops using distortion
abilities would it stop... And no one stopped using distortion
powers including you. He says in response to Kendrix.
Donny gets up and goes over to Alysa who caught his eye first
(Since she was a girl). Donny: Hello... Donovan Shadow-Rowe.
Nice to meet ya. He says to her as he holds his hand out to
shake her hand.

Kialo's eyes finally clear up as Kendrix rants about their
appearance. Kialo: Okay.. so we're really far from home
then. Man, Dad is going to chew me out for this one. He
doesn't even pay attention to the zombie werewolf that is
now squirming in his grip and clawing at his arm.
Alysa lowers her left arm when she hears Future Donavon's
voice. Her eye also returns as her facial expression goes from
p*ssed to polite "Really?" as she looks at him. She's amazed
that the smell of rotting corpse isn't deterring Donavon.
Alysa: Um.. hello. I'm... She notices one of the stumbling
human zombies is focused on Donavon, raises her gun hand with
the speed of a Darkfire, and puts a bullet through its head,
dropping it. Alysa: I am Alysa Darkfire, and you should be
careful with not paying attention to danger.
The other human zombie is now blindly swiping around, trying to
find a target, as it shambles in zigzags.
Anna uncovers her eyes and then covers her nose at the horrible
smell of the zombies. Anna: And it looks like these alternate
universe people brought some foul friends.
Kialo: Crap! Don't let the Deado bite you if you don't
have regeneration like a vampire.. He warns as Anna's
comment made him realize that more than one zombie joined them
in the teleportation. Kialo: ..or you'll end up like them!

Donny: I'm sure he just wanted a hug. Everyone likes hugs.
He says jokingly in response to Alysa. But anyway... I take it
you guys are not from around here. It wasn't certain if the
smell didn't bother him, or he was just too high to care.
Kendrix: Yeah... We don't need a zombie outbreak... We have
enough sickos running around this town as it is. He says as he
throws a crimson flame (his crimson energy combined with his
flames) fireball at the zombie, hoping the crimson flames being
able to damage demonic and holy opponents alike would be enough
to destroy the zombie.
Hei got his holy lightning ready in case the crimson flames
didn't work.
