       Return of Hybrazil
By: Raven Tepes Date: September 19, 2021, 3:39 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Long ago during the age of Atlantis, there was two sister
islands around Ireland. One off the east coast between Ireland
and Britannia called Avalon the legendary island said to hold
the tomb of King Arthur and to be the home of Oberon and Tatiana
according to Shakespeare. It's bigger sister off the west coast
of Ireland that is called Hybrazil which is the true location of
King Arthur's tomb. Both islands hold Atlantean pyramids which
is what the ancient Celtic and Gaelic people had called "scared
mounds" of the fairy people. The tribe of Atlanteans called the
Mabinogi had settled these islands and built the pyramids on
them. They also taught and ruled over the native people of
Ireland and ancient Britannia. Just before the Great Atlantean
Sin, the Minoan tribe had sent Morrigan to be and ambassador to
the Mabinogi tribe and to help perfect pyramidal regenerative
stasis chambers. Morrigan made her home in Hybrazil and over
time fell in love with the native people of Ireland and
Britannia along with the lands. That is what brought her to stay
permanently and become a protector of the islands themselves
even when it was at odds with the Atlanteans.
Morrigan watched as the Atlanteans built many great wonders
around the world, but the Mabinogi tribe had managed to harness
the most amount of minor and major nexus points for energy. The
islands of Ireland and Britannia have always had an unusual
amount of leyline nexus points with two of them once holding
massive millennium trees and another being marked by Stonehenge.
Morrigan like the rest of the Minoan tribe objected the Gate of
the Gods experiment unlike the Mabinogi tribe. She was very
vocal against which had brought trouble to her at times from the
Mabinogi elders. Eventually Morrigan lead an uprising against
the Mabinogi but it was too late once the experiment began. Once
the damage once done and the fate of Atlantis and its most
powerful holdings sealed, Morrigan continued her struggle with
the uprising eventually chasing the Mabinogi off of Hybrazil.
Alien monsters unleased upon the Earth like a Pandora's Box from
the Great Atlantean Sin while the connection of Atlantis and its
most power holdings to Earth began to fail with the great
decrease in Earth's lifeforce energies, the source of magic,
mana, chi/ki, and psychic powers. Soon the great cities of the
Atlanteans began to fade from the Earth into pocket dimensions.
There were Atlanteans who went out into the world to help the
rest of humanity with the aftermath of the dangerously failed
experiment that released monsters and caused global
environmental cataclysm including massive flooding and droughts.
       Morrigan was one such Atlantean.
She along with her Atlantean allies of Hybrazil, eventually
called the Coven of the Isles, had been many of Ireland's and
Britannia's most famous and infamous mythological and legendary
people in history. Morrigan has been Morgana of the Arthurian
legends who still takes her duties of protecting sleeping King
Arthur seriously. She has also been Queen Maeve of Connacht who
led the warriors of Connacht against the Men of Ulster to claim
the most famous bull in Ireland. During Morrigan's time on
Earth, Hybrazil and Avalon continued to appear on and disappear
from Earth in a mysterious fog with time to reappear taking
longer and longer. The last time Hybrazil was reported on Earth
was during the late 1500's. That was when Morrigan became
Gráinne Ní Mháille, aka Pirate Queen of Western Ireland Grace
O'Malley. She terrorized the waters of the northwestern Atlantic
in order to keep the normal humans of Earth from finding
Hybrazil and possibly dooming themselves to being trapped on the
island when it disappeared again. Morrigan thought that this
would be the final time Hybrazil will see the sun of Earth or
taste the ocean spray breeze of the Atlantic. Now she can be
just Mistress Morgan LaFey as the normal humans on Hybrazil have
       now come to call her.
       Jump to the year 2021:
It was early in the morning but the fog was far too thick to get
a bearing of time by the pocket dimension's sky. Actually it was
far foggier than normal that morning as far as Iestyn and Eliza
were concern. They had never seen such a foggy morning on
Hybrazil in their 16 years of life. They knew that they were on
the docks near Mistress LaFey's old wooden schooner and that the
fish were unusually quiet this morning when it comes to fishing.
The fog began to thin and part to reveal a sight that neither
Iestyn nor Eliza had ever seen before. They were looking out
across the choppy Atlantic waters at a large British royal navy
coast guard ship. Their eyes go wide as a voice calls out in
modern British English to Hybrazil when the captain shockingly
sees an island that has never been where it is now.
Captain: This is Captain Worthington of the HMS Highland! I
would like to request an audience with the leader of your island
and to dock. Is request granted?
Iestyn drops his fishing pole into the water while Eliza dropped
hers on the dock as the British captain called out on the
bullhorn. They have never heard the language of Captain
Worthington before but could understand a bit. They both turn
and run through the village straight to Morrigan now called
Morgan LaFey. Morgan was sitting in a meditation position within
the heart of Hybrazil's moss covered pyramid when the teenagers
came bursting in all exhausted and nearly breathless. Morgan
suddenly opens her eyes from the shock of the kids running in
while hollering her name. She had only been meditating for a few
minutes but it was still hard for her to stand up quickly from
her lotus position. 19,000 years can do that to the body after
so long even with the regenerative stasis sarcophagus to help
extend life and health. She walks over to Iestyn and Eliza and
places a calming hand on each one's shoulder She then speaks
       with a calming voice.
Morgan LaFey: Easy, children. Take a deep breath and then
explain what is going on.. but one at a time.
Iestyn: takes a deep breath and slowly exhales It was greatly
foggy this morning when Eliza and I decided to go fishing on the
docks, Mistress LaFey. The fish were very quiet while something
was queer about the usually glassy calm water. Then the fog
cleared and a strange sight was before us.
Eliza: interrupts before Iestyn can continue We saw a strange
ship no bigger than yours and strange salty, choppy water that
goes on as far as the eye can see! There's a Captain Worthing
asking to make port and to have audience with you!
Iestyn: I was getting to that, Eliza.
Eliza: You're too long winded in situations like this, Iestyn!
She says in a huff of frustrated excitement.
Morgan: her face blanches with horror as she didn't even think
about the signs of the fog this morning by the gods.. no..
Morgan then runs from the pyramid in a hurry and stumbles a bit
as the smell and taste of Atlantic salt ocean air hits her face.
The sound of sea gulls is what greets her next followed by the
giant ball of familiar fire in the sky known as the Sun. The two
teens stunned by Morgan's reaction to the news and take a moment
before following her. Morgan: It can not be!
Iestyn: Can not be what, Mistress LaFey?
Morgan takes a deep breath and recollects herself when she hears
Iestyn ask his question. Without looking at him, she answers him
as she begins to walk to the docks. Morgan: Do you remember your
history lessons into the Great Atlantean Sin, Iestyn? She then
begins briskly walk to the docks in order to figure out what to
do next now that Hybrazil has been discovered by a British ship.
Iestyn: Yes, I do. He says as he and Eliza begin to follow
Morgan. Eliza quietly listened as she follows both Iestyn and
       Morgan.
Morgan: Then you remember that long before your time Hybrazil
was part of a planet called Earth.
       Iestyn: Yes, Mistress LaFey.
Morgan: Well, I am upset because we've returned to Earth
unprepared and have been discovered by the inhabitants who no
longer know of us but in old sailors' tales.
Iestyn: Oh.. OH! We are not protected from their sight and thus
       not prepared to defend ourselves.
Morgan: That is a very correct observation, Iestyn. She looks to
another woman who has come out of her house upon hearing the
commotion of the now very talkative village. Morgan: Mary
Elizabeth, go get my magic pendant from my altar and meet me at
the docks. The woman nods her head and rushes off to Morgan's
       cabin.
Meanwhile on the HMS Highland, Captain Worthington awaits answer
from both the people of this mysterious island that just
appeared overnight after a strange and severe lightning storm
and his own crew. The crew on deck scurry about to try and
figure out what is going on. Hybrazil is now showing up on
everything including satellite imagery but no one knows where it
came from nor who it belongs to. Some crew members even resort
to googling old sailors' lore about this mysterious island.
Crew member: Captain! I found an article about some old official
maps that shows this island on them. According to the
researcher, the island is called Hybrazil a name carried on
since the days of Ireland's Celtic people. The last reported
sighting of Hybrazil was in 1613 just before it was enveloped in
a massive, thick fog bank never to be seen again. It has a long
history of appearing and disappearing especially after the
storms of dragons according to Celtic mythology.
Captain Worthington lowers his head as he listens to his crew
member. Even though there is so much going on in the world with
supernatural events from demon wars to dinosaurs appearing from
strange glowing rips in the very fabric of space, this was one
that he just could not... did not want to believe was actually
happening. He knew the old sailor tales of Hybrazil as they were
his favorite tales as a child, but as an adult, he never
imagined that his childhood dream of finding the lost island
would ever actually come true. He just stares at Hybrazil in
sheer disbelief as he speaks. Captain Worthington: As a child, I
made my father tell me the tales of Hybrazil and Avalon over and
over until I could recite every line, ensign. I told my father,
when I was 6 years old, that I would one day sail the seas
around her majesty's holdings until I could find it even if it
meant fighting the ghost of Grace O'Malley's ship. He stands a
bit straighter. Captain Worthington: Now it quite possibly
stands before me, and he is longer with us for me to tell him
       that I succeeded.
       First Mate: Captain?
Captain Worthington: Finding Hybrazil has been a Worthington
family tradition since 1564 and been the end of many Worthington
men who've gone looking for it. My father was a victim of the
family tradition, Jones. Now I have quite possibly done what
none of my ancestors could. Such a bittersweet twist of ironic
       fate.
Before the first mate can answer, another crew members calls out
from the deck upon seeing Iestyn and Eliza returning with Morgan
LaFey. Deck crew member: The teens have come back with an adult,
       Captain!
Captain Worthington: Perhaps now we can get some answers.
Morgan steps to the end of an empty dock big enough for the HMS
Highland. She looks around at the sight of the Atlantic ocean
and the HMS Highland with a despairing look. She knew that there
was going to be a language barrier but she gave communication
without her pendant a try. Morgan cast a voice amplification
spell and calls out to the British ship in Old English with as
little Gaelic accent as possible. Morgan: English translation
Hear me, Captain of the Highland! You are welcome to come ashore
on parley of peace but must disarm before stepping of your ship.
I, Mistress Morgan LaFey, give you permission as leader of
       Hybrazil.
Captain Worthington eyes goes wide as he hears the Old English
and thankful that he had actually learned it in his teenage
years. He could hardly believe it. Here was a female leader of a
mythical island greeting him and confirming that this island is
Hybrazil. He turns to the first mate and the crew on the bridge.
Captain Worthington: Prepare to dock. We're going ashore and
       parleying with the natives.
First Mate Jones: Captain, should we report to main port?
Captain Worthington pauses a moment in thought and remembers his
family stories about Hybrazil especially those that were claims
of returns from Hybrazil. Captain Worthington: No, do not report
to main port. Do not report to anyone. This is officially a top
secret operation that I will report to the proper channels once
we've assessed what is going on.
First Mate: Are you sure, Captain?
Captain Worthington: Absolutely. We are officially radio silent.
He knew that no one other than the people of Hybrazil due to
certain artifacts hidden on the island. That meant this will be
a report for Sir Canaan once he's taken an assessment of the
situation. Captain Worthington: Now save anymore questions for
after we dock.. oh and all weapons must be left aboard the ship.
No arguments. The crew silently goes to work at docking the HMS
Highland while Captain Worthington contemplates about how this
will go and how he's a bit disappointed that he didn't get to
fight the ghost of Grace O'Malley and her ghost ship before
       finding Hybrazil.
Morgan lowers her arm with a bit of relief. Apparently someone
on the ship knows Old English. Now she has to think about how to
handle this situation especially once she finds out what year it
is on Earth. Morgan: Eliza, go and tell your mother to prepare
food and drink for our guests.. and not the special food and
drink. We are going to handle this a bit differently this time.
We will leave the dream potion as a back up.
Eliza: Yes, Mistress LaFey. The girl quickly runs off as Morgan
goes about getting men to prepare the dock for the HMS Highland.
This will be an interesting experience with this appearance.
Hopefully she will learn why and how Hybrazil was able to return
to its rightful place on Earth.
