Akiba: Back in our world, before the Order invaded, the you in
my world made him the head of Hellsing security. He's a good
soldier if you can handle his constant talking.
Flynn: Oh come on, I'm charming. I can be fun to hang out with,
too. But hunting is what I do best... And what I love to do. He
says to Akiba.

Integra: Well, if he was able to do well with Hellsing back in
your world, I'm sure that he'll be fine here. Just don't drive
the more serious ones too crazy.

Flynn: I promise nothing. He says jokingly.
Akiba: I would like to have some people keeping an eye on
Flynn... He mentioned the Order putting him through a super
soldier enhancement. And I've seen what that can do to people.
It's not something I'm willing to just ignore, even though I
trust Flynn, we can't risk anything. He says to Integra. Though
he hadn't told her about Slade Wilson and his history, Akiba was
pretty sure Integra would know he has had a pretty big past when
it comes to what he did in Foxhound.
Flynn: I'm not Slade Wilson, Akiba... He says, causing Akiba to
sigh, as he didn't want to bring up Slade. It's been like two
years since I was injected. Haven't gone crazy yet... He stops.
Unless I'm already crazy... Maybe I am... Would I know if I
wasn't? He says, mostly just talking because he couldn't shut up
at the moment.
Akiba: YET. Slade Wilson didn't turn into the twisted monster he
became overnight. He says to Flynn. Though he kinda suspected
what was coming, so he was mentally preparing himself for having
to explain who Slade was.

There it is. Akiba sighs as he sits down. Akiba: I've been kind
of dreading this discussion... I don't like talking about him
because he's kind of a ghost of my past in the worst way. Slade
Wilson was a former member of Foxhound who worked alongside
Flynn and I. On a mission, he almost died, and luckily we had a
super soldier serum called the Mirakuru we found during the
mission, a super soldier serum project abandoned by Japan during
World War II. My boss, Big Boss, wanted it brought back, but I
injected it into Slade instead to save his life, who was about
to die from an explosion he was too close too not long before we
found it. I saved his life... But the serum had an unexpected
effect. Slade became twisted by it. Super Soldier serums don't
just amplify the body, but the effects of the hormones and the
mind's responses are amplified too. Slade became unstable, his
anger started to fly out of control but he kept it in check. But
then during a mission, I was forced to make a difficult
choice... We all died, or I took the mission objective and most
of us survive. The only problem was... One of our team, Shado,
who Slade was in love with, didn't make it because of the
decision I made. She was in a difficult spot, and rather than go
back for her, I had to leave her to die. But if I had gone in,
we'd have all died anyway, and she knew that. But Slade didn't
understand that. Thanks to the super soldier serum, Slade lost
it, and came after me hard. The Mirakuru turned Slade into
something else... Something monstrous. I know I deserved to die
for the choice I made, but he wasn't satisfied with killing me.
He wanted to kill everyone close to me. He killed my mother...
And later when he allied with the Order when they invaded, he
kidnapped the Integra in my universe, who died during the fight
between me and Slade.
Flynn: That was also the battle where I got captured by the
Order. I fought the Order while Akiba fought Slade, but they
captured me, and tortured me for the last two years. Torture,
experimentation, the whole package. It was the last attempt for
Hellsing to reorganize what members it had left, and Slade
systematically ruined that and made sure the Order ran over
Hellsing like a steamroller with a giant laser canon. He says.

Akiba: Raven and Takahashi are aware of how Integra in my world
died, and probably Rachel since she seems to see everything
thanks to that timeline vision of hers. But they haven't told
anyone else as far as I know. There wasn't really a need since
he's dead now. I put a bullet through his eye and brain the last
time we fought. I had the choice to capture him, but I chose not
to that time after what his actions had gotten Hellsing and my
sister all killed. He says with a sigh.
Flynn: There's something else... The Order has been trying since
then to recreate that super soldier serum, and refine it without
the whole "I'm gonna murder everyone" quirk. Apparently Kindron
Blackfire wants to weaponize it for his people. Imagine a super
soldier Wraith.
Akiba shutters. Akiba: NO thank you. Those guys are hard enough
to kill as it is. Even with my sniper rifle, sometimes I have to
put 3 or 4 shots into them before they stay down. I've seen
people empty entire clips from their guns into Wraiths and the
Wraiths just walk it off. He says, remembering their fights in
the past.

Integra: And I though dealing with a demonic vampire version of
me was horrendous enough. But we still need to vigilant, Akiba.
I'll admit, I'm happy that a friend of yours is actually alive
and well. This proves that anything can happen. Unfortunately,
you and I both know that behind a miracle like this, something
darker is not too far behind. So if there's any information that
you two have, no matter how dire it is, now is the time to tell
me so we can prevent it from happening.

Akiba: Slade is dead. I checked up on him before we left for
this world. He was still in the cell, missing some of his brain
matter. But I would be a fool to discount the possibility he
could heal from that... Because it's not the only time he's been
"dead." But the Wraith also leveled most of our world and turned
it into a glass floor. If he somehow comes back from that...
Then I don't know that we CAN kill him. He says with a sigh. As
for Flynn... I am happy to have him back, but I do want to make
sure that we're watching him. He may not realize it, but if the
Order recreated that serum, I doubt they worked out all the
problems with it.
Flynn: I told you... It's been two years. Slade went crazy a lot
sooner than that. And the Order was trying to REMOVE that
particular problem. I doubt my version will have that issue
spread out even longer. He says to Akiba.
Akiba: Look. It's to be on the safe side... He says to Flynn. I
don't want another repeat of what happened with Slade.
Flynn: It won't happen... I'm too good looking to turn evil. He
says with a smile.

Integra: If it makes you feel any better Akiba, we have psychics
around in case the worst comes... that is if they have the
patience. I get that you're certain but it doesn't hurt to be
extra cautious. Not just for your friend and the Mercenaries but
for your family as well.
Integra didn't say much but she doesn't have to say much for
Akiba to know what she meant. If something like this was
inevitable to keep from Integra, then Chelsea is certainly going
to find out as well one way or another. And it might happen
sooner than the two may realize.
