Demi: To be honest, I haven't seen many hunters coming around
and bothering me or anyone else so we should be fine. Besides,
even if we do have to worry about hunters, those hunters you
mentioned before don't seem to be the type who would attack us.
Rafe: Maybe but who knows how long that would lasts? Humans have
that mentality to slaughter anything that's not exactly them and
justifying it as an act of good, justice or other BS excuse.
They can barely get along with their own kind. What makes you
think they'll be rational or smart enough to do so?
Demi: Hey man, ease up a bit. They ain't perfect but I'm not
gonna go gun ho unless someone provokes me or my pack.
Although Demi feels at ease thanks to Saix, Demi couldn't help
but frown at Rafe and Marluxia. They're doing just fine on their
own. Besides, what they're saying more or less to her is to drop
everything and attack hunters in general. She'll defend her pack
with her life but she won't agree to mindless bloodshed or
harming those who have something to lose such as family.

Marluxia: And while you may feel better waiting until that
moment, don’t you think it may be wiser to have precautions in
place? I know personally I would rather not risk it.
Saix: We’ve survived worse than humans on our own in the past.
Marluxia: I wouldn’t call pulling yourself together from a few
stray threads survival. Besides you don’t have the allies you
did then. In fact I’m sure your friend Lea would more than
happily sell you out to the brothers. I’ve heard he’s rather
close with Ansem these days.

Rafe: Pretty ironic since his kind is loathe by nearly
everything on this planet.
Demi: Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a damn minute. Did you just say
Lea? We've been looking for that guy for a while. And even if
what you say about him chilling with some bloke is true, you're
out of your bloody minds if ya think that Saix's mate would just
betray him like that!

Marluxia: Yes, I’ve seen him around with Ansem a time or two
though I’ve heard he goes by Axel now. He’s not the same as he
was.
Saix seems as distrustful and hesitant as someone like him can
look, but willing to slightly bend since he has no proof
otherwise. Saix: I have no proof that he would do that, but it’s
reasonable to say that we’ve all changed.

Demi: Even so, we can't just jump to conclusions. If Lea truly
is alive, we need to find him and figure out what the hell is
actually going on before we storm in. Besides, from what you
told me about Lea, he doesn't seem to be the type to just chill
with some stranger. Maybe this Ansem bloke is friendly.
Rafe: Or maybe the werepire became the old man's servant. Humans
nowadays have found ways to make our kind their servants. The
Hellsing organization has made The Impaler their own house pet.
I wouldn't put it pass the old man for doing something similar.
Mankind is well known for committing such heinous acts since the
dawn of time. turn his gaze to Demi You understand what I'm
trying to say, correct?
Demi grit her teeth in irritation to the point that it grew
fangs. Demi even has to swallow her rage and keep herself from
growling at Rafe who is now forming an arrogant smirk on his
face.

Marluxia: It’s worth noting, I think, that I wouldn’t come here
if I didn’t see it as necessary. Saix and I have a carefully
balanced relationship. We haven’t always been on the best of
terms, but I find this visit to be of dire importance. I fear
that with the allies they’re gaining we may be one step closer
to eradication if we’re not careful.
Saix: I understand your concern Marluxia. I’m more than aware
that there’s every possibility that we all walked away from that
fight more unlike ourselves than ever. He straightens to his
full height as he settles that soothing hand back on Demi’s
lower back. That being the case I will consider your concern and
be weary. I will not act without direct proof, but of course if
that can be provided things here may change. Until then I defer
to Demi’s judgement that we must see for ourselves what his
views are now. I may be wise in mind, but she is wise of heart.
A good thing to judge an old friend.

Rafe: If you say so. Though it's fair to note that the old man
has other children with him. One is a nephilim while the other
is a dhampir. Just in case the situation escalate.

much more serious than Marluxia and you initially made it seem.

Rafe: I believe that he still keeps in touch with his
grandchildren. We don't know much about them yet but we'll give
you some info once we get the chance.
Demi: You mean that you'll tell us if we agree to join your
little witch hunt group?
Rafe: shrugs lightly I'm not pulling your tails or anything. If
you two want to take the risk and visit the old man then go on
ahead. I'm just saying that a little protection against these
hypocritical and ignorant apes doesn't hurt.
Demi: Thanks, but we'll take our chances.

He nods mostly assenting to her judgement. Saix: I suppose I
will have to see my former allies for myself before making any
judgement. However, since you came all this way I would be
remiss to not offer some assistance. My judgement on the Van
Helsings and Le- Axel as you call him will come in time, but I
will extend my aid in other matters within reason. I will assist
you with any other issues, but I reserve the right to make
judgement calls.
Marluxia: I feel that your offer would be more than fair for the
time being. Allies are allies regardless of if I feel you’re
making a bad judgement call on someone just because he was a
friend in the past.
