Liz: Story of our lives... well most of us anyway. She said a
bit sarcastically Though if it makes you feel any better, I was
an experiment. Some dark alchemist that worshipped the Egyptian
anti-god, Apep tried to make me as a weapon to destroy the
pantheon. The godly DNA I was made from is the chaos and desert
deity, Set. So I'm more or less a freak of nature.
Melanie: Well, the god Set did end up accepting Liz as his own
child after temporarily giving the jerk a piece of his mind so
it wasn't all bad. Same goes with the other deities like the sun
       god, Ra.
       Liz: I guess...

Jack: Well... I have some good relations with Raiden and Fujin
in the Shinto pantheon. Raiden helped me learn a bit about my
Shinto deity power. The only good thing about my power as a
Shinto deity is that I haven't chosen fortune or calamity yet,
so I can use both powers somewhat... At least for now. If I were
to get followers, I could get stronger, but a new god starting
       out... Well... It's not easy.

Liz: Yeah, you can thank the old pr*cks and bible humping d*uche
bags for that. Then again, mortals are pretty simple minded
morons so you're in the rut one way or another.

Jack: Yeah... It seems like the only way to get followers
anymore is the "worship me or die" crap some of these gods keep
       pulling.

Liz: Yeah... I felt sorry for the deities in my home pantheon.
They weren't jerks and were already dealing with a giant snake
       monster.
Alicia: Hybrids like us normally get stuck in the middle.
Doesn't help that there are many who are making those like us
look like brainless delinquents. Well, more so like them. She
       said mostly toward Nigel
       Nigel: Hey!
Liz: We just want to be left alone. Apparently, that's asking
       for too much nowadays.

Jack: I understand... Most of the gods these days are trying so
hard for support, it's hard to find anywhere that will just let
you do your own thing... Well... Besides a few places like Vowl
Kingdom. That place is pretty okay since deities don't really
have any follower groups there and people are protected by
       Crowley and his people.

Alicia: Might head there one day when I get the chance. Ethan
has been there once to visit his father. Sounds like a nice
       place to relax.

Jack: Yeah. It's pretty nice. The Wu Shi academy is also pretty
nice too. A lot of teachers there if you ever want a place to
       learn stuff.

Nigel: It might help me with one of my classes since I'm
studying Shintoism. Maybe they have some stuff on shamans since
I know Japan has their own version of them. It's start with an
       o.
Alicia: They're called Onmyōdō. It is a traditional
Japanese esoteric cosmology, a mixture of natural science and
occultism. It is a very eclectic blend, including Wu Xing (Five
Elements), Yin and yang, shikigami, and divination to ofuda and
       alchemy.

Jack: You also have the Miko which were the priestesses. I wish
my mom were here, she knows all about the shaman stuff. Her
family was mostly shamans and priests since ancient times. These
days, most of the shamans are mostly for show in terms of how
       they operate.
