From first glance, there seems to be no sign of any mongooses
that are different enough to warrant any attention, as they all
mostly felt the same in terms of senses. If they were looking
for a rare creature, it wasn't certain if the creature was any
different from others based on the tail alone, or if there was
something different about these creatures they were looking for.
Vin comes back not too long later to the group. Vin: Hey guys.
I'm back. I got the tails. She says, holding up four white
tails.
Goten: How the hell?! He says, surprised.
Vin: Yeah... I found a vender selling them. Just don't tell
Akule I bought them unless he asks okay? She says to them.
Dark Vin: Something's going through your mind. She says, looking
at Vin.
Vin: Yeah, but I don't want to say it yet because I'm not sure.
She says, somewhat quietly, as she waits for V. It was obvious
she had some suspicions about this "quest" for ingredients that
were bothering her.

V and Chibiabos stop looking and turn to V. Unsure, Chibiabos
begin to quietly speak to Vin alone but at least let V listen
in.

Vin starts walking over to where Akule and Millia were.
Vin speaks to Chibiabos, but also to V since she figured
Chibiabos would tell V anyway. Vin: Don't tell the others yet,
but... Something about this quest... It doesn't feel right.
We're being sent on a goose chase while the shamans are about to
be wiped out. If the shamans knew we were coming, why wouldn't
they have at least a few of these charms handy, or at least have
some of the ingredients handy. I could understand wanting us to
find the ingredients, but with time working against us, we're
doing what feels like busy work. They should have made us the
charms and then had us hunt down ingredients with them after we
focused on defending the place from Balor. On top of that, when
I asked about the tails in town, the existence of the white
tailed mongooses is just a rumor. It was never certain we'd even
find any here, but Akule made it sound like they were here
without a doubt and we'd be able to find four in a timely
manner. Akule and Millia seem confident in what they're doing,
but I can't help but feel like there's something else to their
actions. This could be me over-analyzing, but it feels like
those two aren't preparing for what's coming at all. It feels
more like they're just trying to put us through hell. These
white tails I got. They're fake. But I want to see what Akule
says when I give them to him. Just to confirm my suspicions.

V: Just roll with it for now. Besides, we saw what happened last
night. Plus, they said that Kindron himself fell victim to this
creep's power. I don't want to risk anything against something
like that. Though keep an eye out in case something else helps
prove your suspicion.

Vin: I will. I didn't want to say anything yet for that reason.
I want to give them the benefit of the doubt since they know
what we're up against, and I didn't want to start something if I
wasn't sure.
As Vin goes up to Akule and Millia, Dark Vin, Goten and Ranga
all walk up as well. Vin hands Akule the tails. Vin: Alright...
We're done right?
Akule takes the tails, studying them for a moment. Akule: These
tails look... He stops and hands them to Millia, who seems to
teleport them away in shadows. Hmm. Never mind... Let's move on,
shall we? He says cheerfully.
Vin looks at Akule suspiciously, but decides to let it go
currently.

Millia silently teleports them again, this time in front of a
cave that went underground into the mountain. This cave wasn't a
mine, but rather, looked more like creatures had dug it.
Akule: Next you will find me some black sunlight herbs in these
caves. This will be dangerous, so do not use your powers unless
you have to. There are fire salamanders in these caves, and they
can be dangerous, but overall, you need to navigate the caves.
He takes out what appears to be a medallion with a compass
needle on it that seemed to be pointing toward something. Take
this. He says handing it to V. This will guide you to what
you're looking for. When inside, you will find the herbs with
the other herbs, which will be in a big group. Feel free to get
as many as you want as they do make good medicine, but I need as
many black sunlight herbs as you can carry. But do not touch the
purple or orange herbs. Those are dangerous. The purple ones are
poisonous, and the orange ones are mandrakes, which scream and
can kill people if they're not careful when picking them. If you
are poisoned by the purple herbs though, eat the green and white
herbs, which work like a counter to the poison herbs.

V takes the compass from Akule as she listen to him. Well, the
bright side is that she can send some of these herbs to those
like Voltan.
V: Anything else we need to know before we head in?

Millia: Yeah... The fire salamanders regenerate unless their
head is cut off. But if you kill one, the others will attack as
well. So be careful in there. I also recommend setting up a way
to teleport out just in case. These caves are like a maze, and
it's easy to get turned around. Once you get the herbs, teleport
out, don't try and navigate back or you'll probably get lost.
