Shamala flies over, landing nearby. Shamala: I take it things
must be overwhelming... I know what it's like. Dealing with both
Malice and Balor again is an even worse nightmare than seeing
Arthur Gikari again. She says to V. She changes back to her
normal self, sitting on the ground.

V couldn't help but make a face when Shamala mentioned Arthur
Gikari. She knows that she has to deal with his ass one day,
especially when the alternate version of her father is one day
overthrown if everything goes according to plan. She knows that
he has a right to be furious at both Shamala and Kindron but
what he's trying to do isn't much better. Man, why is her family
so f*cked up?
V: Feels like I'm getting kicked in the teeth multiple times.

Shamala: At least you haven't had to watch all your friends be
murdered in front of you like I did... She says with a sigh. And
one of my friends is stuck in a perpetual hell in her own mind.
She turns to V. Let me tell you a story... When Kindron fought
Malice the first time, Millia was about to sacrificed to bring
Malice back fully. It wasn't intended, but that's what was
happening. I was attacked and almost killed. Kindron lost
control, and in doing so, he became a hollow. He couldn't handle
failing to protect the people close to him. It was the only time
I ever saw Kindron lose control of his hollow power. He almost
killed Teacher (Akule) during that battle before Malice drew his
attention. Kindron lived with that failure, and then even more
failure during his final fight with Balor. Merlin, Millia and I
were the only survivors of that battle.

V's expression change to something similar to sadness. Holy
hell, that was horrible. It's obvious that V and the others are
a threat to Malice and his plans and Vobu said that she and Vin
can pull it off. But due to what happened earlier, she's unsure.
Not to mention the fear of those close to her might be in danger
of the same fate, if not worse.
V: And now, it's happening again but cranked up to an 11.

Shamala: But this time, you and the clone girl can do what
Kindron and I could not... The two of you can save everyone. And
this time you have Teacher and Millia who can provide support.
Vobu said you and the clone girl beat Malice in every timeline
so far. I have no doubt you'll do it again. She looks away,
looking up at the sky. Besides, I need you to keep fighting
too... If you get stronger, I'm hoping you can help my friend.
Honestly, I'd be okay if she ended up befriending you and your
group. Better that than her joining me as I am now. She says to
herself. For the first time, there was a lot of regret in her
voice and face.

V: I'll do whatever I can to help. I know how you feel to be
honest. I couldn't even save my own loved ones. I'm trying to
help them, even though many believe it to be futile.
V frown even more as she speaks, thinking about Raiden Kindron,
who fell into darkness and will only get worse as time goes by.
Then there's Alix, who's now in control of some stupid dark
spirit who isn't planning on letting her go. How the hell can
she save many lives if she can't even save the ones close to
her?
V: Yet after everything, I still feel like that illegitimate
brat again. Unsure if it should be comedic or just pathetic.

Shamala: I think the clone girl would probably say something
like "Nothing is impossible if you don't give up" or something
like that... But for me... She looks up at the sky. Whether you
win or not. Enjoy the time you have with the people you care
about. It's not guaranteed you or they'll live till tomorrow,
and even if the world weren't on fire, you don't want to miss
any time with them. We can't predict what the future holds, even
though people like the Storm God and Vobu try. The future is
always in motion and can change in an instant. So enjoy your
life while you have it. That's my personal advice.

V doesn't say anything again as she takes Shamala's words close
to heart. Although V kind of wish that Shamala doesn't call Vin
clone girl for reasons, V knows that Shamala's right. It may be
a stretch but V has done some crazy things before that were
impossible to many.

Shamala sits silently, waiting for V to collect herself. She had
pretty much said everything she wanted to say, so she couldn't
think of anything else at the moment to say to her.

V: Thank you for saving our asses back there. I know that you
had your own reasons but I really appreciated it.
Since V was starting to feel better and her mind isn't clouded
with much negativity like before, V decide to let her guard down
a bit by forming a small yet warm smile on her face. She also
start to sit up straight.
