"I still say that some of the best information that you can get
is in the information that you don't find."
"Look, I have worked with some skeevey motherf*ckers in my day,
very unsavory types. But you know what I trust? That they have
their own self-preservation, right? So I can trust that these
motherf*ckers don’t want to get caught, and that they don't want
to die at the end of the day. If you want to do something
skeevey on the side, let me know, I will help you out. But when
we are all working as a team, I don’t want your actions to get
       me in f*cking trouble." ~To a friend
"You should know, I have no respect for authority."
“You have... a six pack of donuts, but you don’t have a healer’s
kit in there? And you’re the cleric?” ~to her friend Jester
"I feel bad. I've treated people like sh*t my whole life. And .
       . . I don't know. Having one transformative moment doesn't mean
that you're immediately going to be a different person overnight
and being better is something you have to work at, I guess."
"I'll walk away from all of it, everything that I've worked
really hard to get. This family, my old family, my new brother,
my position. I've achieved more than I thought I ever would,
richer than I ever thought I would, more skilled than I ever
thought I would. I don't know what's left, past this, anyway.
       Maybe I've peaked, you know."
"This is all I have...all I have is the Mighty Nein. To the
point of where I was so desperate to control the situation of
how I theoretically lost you all by attempting to sacrifice
myself to that hag. Because... I guess I thought if I could
control the way that this ended, even if it's as innocuous as
growing apart, that might be less painful. Because even the
thought of simply becoming distant means that that would be the
second family that that would have happened to with me, so...
       I'm all in."
       Name: Beauregard Lionett
       Age: 27
       Species: Human
       Gender: Female
       Associate: The Mighty Nein
       First Mate aboard The Mistake
       The Cobalt Soul
       Role: Expositor
       Family:
       Father: Thoreau Lionett
       Mother: Clara Lionett
Brother: Thoreau Lionett Jr. ( aka TJ who is in one of the
       photos)
Monk Abilities: Martial Arts: The practice of martial arts gives
a monk mastery of combat styles that use unarmed strikes and
monk weapons, which are shortswords and any simple melee weapons
that don’t have the two-handed or heavy property.
Ki: Intense training allows you to harness the mystic energy of
ki. When one exhausts the amount of ki they can manipulate they
must finish a short or long rest, at the end of which you draw
all of your expended ki back into yourself. One must spend at
least 30 minutes of the rest meditating to regain your used Ki.
       Application:
Flurry of Blows: A monk can deliver several quick attacks in
succession that can overwhelm an enemy.
Patient defense: A monk can enter a defensive stance to
patiently wait for an enemies attack against them. This allows
them to have a greater chance of blocking the attack.
Step of the Wind: A monk can jump double their normal distance.
Deflect Missiles: A monk can use their reaction to deflect or
catch the missile when hit by a ranged weapon attack. If a monk
catches the missile they can then use Ki to send it back as an
       attack.
Unarmoured Movement: When not in armour a Monks speed increases
past their normal capabilities. In some cases they can move
swiftly enough to cross liquids and scale vertical surfaces.
Slow Fall: Monks can channel their reactions to catch their fall
thus reducing the amount of damage they would normally take.
Stunning Strike:A monk can interfere with the flow of ki in an
opponent’s body. When a monk hits another creature with a melee
weapon attack, they channel the Ki in the opponent body into a
       hit that may stun them.
Ki-empowered strikes: A monk’s unarmed strikes count as magical
for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to
       nonmagical attacks and damage.
Evasion: A monk’s instinctive agility lets them dodge out of the
way of certain area effects, such as a blue dragon’s lightning
breath or a fireball spell. Even if it still hits them the
attack only does half it’s normal damage.
Stillness of Mind: A monk can end one effect on themselves that
is causing them to be charmed or frightened.
Purity of Body: The mastery of the ki flowing through a monk
makes them immune to disease and poison.
Tounge of the Sun and Moon: A monk can learn to touch the ki of
other minds so that they understand all spoken languages.
Moreover, any creature that can understand a language can
       understand what they say.
Timeless Body:Ki sustains a monk so that they suffer none of the
frailty of old age, and they can’t be aged magically. They can
still die of old age, however.
Way of the Cobalt Soul Monk Abilities:
Mystical Erudition: After receiving extensive training with the
Cobalt Soul, a monk can mystically recall information on history
and lore from the monasteries archives.
Extract Aspects: After causing thorough damage on an opponent, a
monk trained in the Way of the Cobalt Soul can use pressure
points to extract extensive information from a foe.
Mind of Mercury: A monk has trained their awareness and reflexes
through mental aptitude and pattern recognition. This allows
them to both take and preform multiple reactions in battle.
Preternatural Counter: A monks quick mind and study of their foe
allows them to use their foe’s failures to their own advantage.
If a beings attack misses you, you can use that failure to
preform a melee attack in response.
Debilitating Barrage: A monk can gain the knowledge to
temporarily alter and lower a foe’s fortitude through the
attacks in rapid succession against their pressure points. They
can then use their Ki to put their foe at a disadvantage for
       their next round of attacks.
Items: Quarterstaff: As a monk she has undergone extensive
training in the use of a quarterstaff making her quite the adept
fight with it. She’s even learned to use it as an extension of
her body to channel Ki energy through the staff which increases
the amount of damage dealt to the opponent.
Belabor: A beautiful silver quarterstaff that has a spiral of
carved runes from end to end to each cap. Beau can use it to
send a magical charge at an opponent that can deal force based
damage and send them sprawling backwards if weakened or
       unprepared
Night Goggles: Give Beau up to 30 feet of night vision in pitch
       black areas
Boots of the Vigilant: These boots are enchanted with magic that
allows the wearer to sense impending danger when used though
they can only be used once a day
Maelstrom Gloves: They are heavy gloves that stop beneath the
fingers, having gauntlet plates above the guard. Metal studs are
set across each knuckle and organized across the back of the
hand, where the electrical charge is gathered. When activated
they deal lightning based damage rather than bludgeoning damage.
Headband of Intellect: The Headband of Intellect's design is
that of a very thin golden circlet. It has like a spiral design
at the base of the center piece, and there's a slight bit of a
green gem that's fixed in the center, and it just rests across
the brow. When worn it boosts the intelligence of the wearer
Weaknesses: Despite being a highly skilled Monk, Beau is still
human and thus is more easily susceptible to damage despite
being able to take a lot of it. Beau often also pushes herself
to the brink and will push herself to give and take more than
her body is able to handle even with a higher threshold for pain
and damage. Lastly, Beau is not trained in magic making her
weaker to some of its more powerful affects.
Personality: Beau is a simple girl with simple needs. Beau's
attitude towards other people can be summed up as "do whatever
you want, but if it f*cks with my sh*t we're going to have
issues." Beau has few concerns when it comes to violence, having
demonstrated a willingness and, occasionally, an eagerness to
harm others if it serves her interests. This aggressive
attitude, along with her general dislike of authority figures,
put her at odds with her superiors in the Cobalt Soul. This
attitude has extended to other party members who tried to
commandeer a situation. Despite having above-average Charisma,
Beau is particularly abrasive in ordinary social interactions,
frequently coming off as insulting when she tries to give
compliments and straining credulity when she attempts to be
       polite.
In order to improve her social skills, Fjord suggested that she
smile more, but due to Beau's usual hostility, her smiles tend
to come off as either unsettling or extremely disingenuous. In
higher-stakes dealings with strangers she frequently peppers her
speech with lies—she is better at deception than
persuasion—sometimes with positive results. She is intelligent
(much more so after getting a Headband of Intellect) and
talented at investigating, but with unlucky streaks. She is
knowledgeable about history (a testament to her Cobalt Soul
training), and though she often downplays it as "just something
she happened to learn while doing so-and-so," she keeps thorough
       notes.
Beau was one of the first of the Mighty Nein to come out of her
shell and consider herself a true friend to them, saying she
would lay down her life for them.
Beau has gained the nickname "The Disaster Lesbian" due to her
often flirty demeanor towards women but infrequent success.
Notably, she called her fellow Expositor, Dairon, "very
attractive" as soon as she saw the elf without their concealing
cloak, she has expressed romantic interest in Jester.
Beauregard's hiring of a female courtesan at The Landlocked Lady
and her sleeping with two women named Keg and Reani showcase her
attraction to the same sex. That said, though, Beau often saw
her having intimate relations with other women as being a
"band-aid". And a lot of those "disastrous" vibes she gives off
are a front designed to hide how utterly terrified she is of
ending up alone, and that she's been lucky in lust yet unlucky
       in love.
Bio: Beauregard's parents were in the wine-making business in a
small island town. Beau was made to manage the bookkeeping. As
the winery's most frequent customers were halflings, Beau
learned the Halfling language as a result.
Beau thought little of her father, Thoreau, as she grew up. He
was not violent, but was "standoffish and distant." Possibly out
of a desire for revenge, Beau began to steal and resell his wine
at a lower cost. This led to her committing other crimes,
including extortion and trafficking. While playing a game of
chance, Beau revealed the the best lie she ever told was when,
not liking a politician and his wife in the town she grew up in,
she worked as a house hand for them as a means to dig up dirt on
them. She found out that they were each cheating on each other,
causing them to break up when she exposed the information. One
of Beau's criminal associates was a woman named Tori, whom she
was also romantically involved with. When Beau and Tori were
arrested together, Beau's father paid her bail but not Tori's.
Beau does not know what happened to Tori after that.
One day her father found out about her bootlegging and criminal
activity and hired a group of monks from the Cobalt Reserve to
"abduct" Beau, believing that they would reform her. It is
implied that Beau's father thought that the monks were strictly
librarians, however they were also martial artists and attempted
to teach Beau the discipline her father wanted while also
training her in hand-to-hand combat. Though only one of these
lessons stuck and it wasn’t the discipline.
Beau later left the monastery for a short time to set out on
business with friends. Her work during this business caused her
to gain the rank of Expositor within the Reserves. As of late
she has spent a great deal of time studying and taking off jobs.
Her most recent being for some close friends regarding odd
visions and experiences leading her to set out on a wandering
study through various religions and places.
