RP Elseworlds Story: The Battle in Badrick

Prologue: Another World, Another Time

This is the story of another universe, another universe where
some things are slightly different, and some are the same. This
story takes place in an alternate London universe, just before
the Nazi crisis. In this universe, Hellsing would come up mostly
like it does in the London timeline, with Integra Hellsing
leading her organization against the Nazi invasion. However, in
this universe, there is one major difference compared to the
London universe.
In this universe, Hellsing would find itself with an extra
member, a lone supernatural hunter in a wolf mask wearing a
black cloak, whom his enemies would call "Wolf Mask." However,
his allies were the only ones that knew his real identity. As
some who know the name in other universes would guess, this
supernatural hunter was none other than Kindron Darkfire, the
werepyre who was known as the "Wolf Hunter" among his time as a
supernatural hunter. Only his closest allies knew his identity,
though there were some that would find out about Kindron's
identity as time went on.
In this universe, Kindron encountered Arthur Hellsing in during
his lifetime, with Arthur Hellsing learning of Kindron's
identity as the two worked together on a few supernatural hunter
cases. Arthur offered Kindron a place at Hellsing, to which
Kindron eventually agreed to join, though reluctantly given what
had happened to the last person who had befriended him. Kindron
was determined though not to repeat the past, and chose to work
for Hellsing as it was one of the few times he'd ever been
offered a place anywhere in the world besides when he was first
found by a priest a long time ago.
This version of Kindron would work for Hellsing as Arthur's body
guard, though he stayed a secret among the group and only went
out when he had to. As a supernatural hunter, his name became
more well known as he was sent to hunt vampires, werewolves and
other creatures who would go after humans.
From this point, Kindron became a part of the Hellsing family,
and would become known as one of Hellsing's best supernatural
hunters... At least, until Alucard would be awakened. After the
death of Arthur Hellsing, and the attempted takeover of
Integra's uncle, Alucard would be awakened by Integra after
Walter and Kindron had been dispatched on a mission to hunt down
a group of werewolves. When they returned, they found out about
Integra's uncle and how he had tried to kill Integra, as well as
finding out about Alucard's awakening.
As Alucard would soon become the one going out and killing
vampires after he was awakened, Kindron would stay at Hellsing
and operate as Integra's bodyguard when Integra would go out in
public, protecting her from enemies who might attack Hellsing.
While Walter still operated to protect Integra and also still
act as a butler to the Hellsing organization, Kindron would act
as Integra's main bodyguard. Alucard would act as the main
hunter in the organization, and many things would happen as they
did in many other timelines, one of note was when Alucard turned
Seras Victoria into a vampire.
This version of Kindron was much like the London version, who
was a werepyre armed with his teacher's blade, Shinso, and his
Darkfire training. In a time before Kindron fused a Heaven's
Gate piece to himself to purify his soul, and before finding out
about his heritage as a werewolf alchemist, Kindron was still a
formidable opponent, and one with plenty of experience fighting
other creatures of the night.
This is the story of Kindron Darkfire, and one of his battles in
his time with Hellsing...
Main Story: The Encounter in Badrick

Hellsing Member: Sir... A report from our Vatican Intelligence
officer. It reads: "Our fears confirmed. The Vatican Special
Operations Iscariot Organization is on the move."
Integra: The Iscariot... The Vatican Special Operations Unit.
The most powerful agents the Vatican commands. Professional
exorcists. Assassins designed to deal with heathens and
heretics. They're working under section 13, a black operations
unit. How large a force did they send?
Hellsing Member: Just one agent was deployed... The Paladin,
Father Alexander Anderson.
Integra: Did you say Alexander Anderson?! She stops and thinks.
God knows what would happen if he were to run into Alucard and
the girl...
Kindron: From what I heard about him, he's not one to be trifled
with. If they meet, it's likely that it will be like a hurricane
vs a tornado. He says in thought from his chair, as he was
playing with a lighter given to him by Arthur Hellsing with the
family crest on it, a gift that was given to him long ago,
wearing his wolf mask and black cloak since he kept his identity
secret from most of Hellsing for fear of scaring them, though
that was more what Kindron told others as it was more for
Kindron's sake, as he always feared what people would think of
who and what he really is.
She gets up. I'll leave for Badrick immediately! Ready a
helicopter! Fetch my gun and my sword! She says to the Hellsing
Member.
Hellsing Member: What about body guards? He says curiously.
Integra: I only need one. He'll be coming with me. She says,
pointing to Kindron.
Kindron: You sure about this? I can go on my own if I need to.
He says to Integra, getting up and flipping the lighter closed
as he puts the lighter away.
Integra: Just be ready to go! She thinks for a moment. You can't
teleport us there, can you?
Kindron: Afraid not... I've never been to Badrick before so I
don't know where I'm going specifically.
Integra: Well... Couldn't hurt to ask... Turns to Walter.
Walter. I want you to keep working on the Vatican!
Walter bows. Walter: Of course sir. He says in acknowledgement.
As Integra and Kindron get ready to leave, eventually they get
to the helicopter as Walter reports what he found out about
Anderson.
Walter: In much the same way Alucard is our best line of
supernatural defense... He stops as Kindron coughs
sarcastically. Despite saying he was humble, there were times he
had a lot of pride in his abilities, which was something of a
bad habit of his. Okay... One of our best... He says, correcting
himself, knowing Kindron would have something to say if he said
anything else. Anderson could reasonably be described as the
finest agents Vatican Section 13 has to offer.
Kindron and Integra get into the helicopter.
Integra: God I hope they haven't started killing each other
yet... She says as they take off.
About halfway there, Integra looks to the pilot. Hurry! Knowing
Iscariot... No... Knowing Alucard... They've probably already
started! She says to the pilot.
Kindron: I doubt Alucard will go down easily and it will take a
lot to kill him... I'm more worried about what happens if he
attacks Seras. She's nowhere near experienced enough to fight
someone like that. Especially someone who might be a match for
Alucard if what I hear about him is true. He says to Integra,
while playing with his lighter again, something he usually did
when he was sitting down and not in a fight.
Integra: I know... She says with a sigh.
The trip to Badrick was fairly quick, though felt like an
eternity. As they arrive, Kindron and Integra rush into the
building where Alucard and Anderson had met, and as they
entered, found Anderson about to kill Seras Victoria when
Integra shoots Anderson's blades.
Integra: That girl belongs to me! She says to Anderson as
Anderson is caught off guard. What's your business here, Paladin
of Iscariot, Father Alexander Anderson?
Anderson: Sir Integra Wingates Fairbrook Hellsing... To what do
I owe the honor of such a personal appearance? He says before
looking over to Kindron, not really knowing who he was or caring
much for Kindron's identity since Kindron was typically not too
well known since Integra liked to keep Kindron secret as best
she could as one of Hellsing's secret weapons.
Integra: Enough, Father Anderson! This is a violation of our
agreement. The situation here is under our control. Withdraw
immediately. Neither Hellsing nor the Iscariot can afford this
kind of battle. I don't care who you think you are. This act of
aggression ends now!
Anderson smiles. Anderson Withdraw? Is that an order? You expect
the Iscariot organization, God's own chosen instruments of
judgement to just withdraw on your order? Did you really expect
me to run away screaming in fear from a filthy protestant ****?!
Kindron, who had been silent, moves in front of Integra, facing
down Anderson.
Kindron: God's chosen? You Iscariots really have a bloated
opinion of yourselves. I hate Christians who lord their faith
over others... People like you always think you're better than
everyone else. He says to Anderson in an annoyed voice as he
takes his sword from his side and holds it ready.
Anderson takes out two bayonets and runs towards Kindron, who
blocks Anderson's attack with his sword without unsheathing it
and kicks him back as it was obvious Anderson expected Kindron
to just be a normal human he could cut down. Anderson recovers
quickly though as he looks to Kindron as he lands not far away,
regenerating the damage from Kindron's kick.
Anderson: You dare mock my faith?! He says angrily as he takes
out his bayonets and throws a handful at Kindron.
Kindron moves his sword and blocks the bayonets, knocking them
to the side without drawing his sword yet.
Kindron: Not your faith... But I will mock your knowledge. He
says as he draws his sword. Don't worry... I'll be happy to
educate you.
For a moment, Anderson studies the blade. Anderson: A holy
blade... And a strong one too... He says to himself in surprise
as he notices Kindron's sword being a holy sword that seemed to
have its own essence. He regains his composure. No matter...
Heathens will be cut down! He says to himself as he readies his
bayonets.
Anderson charges Kindron and attacks while Kindron parries
Anderson's attempts to stab him. As the two combat each other,
Kindron is able to stay ahead of Anderson to a small degree due
to experience, but Anderson was no pushover, so even Kindron was
being careful. Unlike Alucard who would often take hits, Kindron
wasn't the type to take hits if he didn't have to or unless he
was sure it wouldn't damage him, something Anderson noticed
quickly as he fought Kindron.
Anderson and Kindron clash, Kindron's sword moving to counter
Anderson's bayonets, and the two moving extremely quickly.
Anderson: He's unusually fast for someone of his size... He
thinks to himself as he fights Kindron, realizing that Kindron
was a very tall, pretty bulky person, and realized Kindron moved
faster than he should at his size given his bulky side. even
though Kindron was wearing a loose fitting black cloak which
would hide his features, it was still obvious to Anderson that
Kindron had a lot of muscle.
However, there was something else as Anderson managed to cut
part of Kindron's cloak and Kindron moved back to avoid getting
cut, as Anderson noticed his movements were a little strange as
Kindron avoided the holy blade. Anderson had an idea on how to
catch Kindron off guard, and moves in to attack as he summons
more bayonets in each hand.
With a new confidence, Anderson attacks Kindron as Kindron also
attacks. However, instead of Anderson countering Kindron's
slash, Anderson takes the slash in order to slash at Kindron
with the bayonets he was holding. The two both manage to slash
each other, and Kindron and Anderson both stumble back as they
take the respective slashes. Kindron's chest was slashed, but
heals with his dark flame regeneration. However, due to how his
healing was being interrupted, he was forced to take out his
lighter and light the flame, generating a black flame that seems
to grow and engulf Kindron's injuries, healing them as Kindron
absorbed the flame. However, Kindron wasn't concerned with his
injuries as much as he was worried about his cloak. After
Anderson's attack with his multiple bayonets, his cloak was in
pieces and pieces of it were hanging down over his legs, and a
few even reached the ground. Kindron: Damn... Not again. He says
with a sigh. Realizing it was going to hinder his movement,
Kindron threw his cloak to the ground after ripping what was
left of it off. Kindron takes off his mask, throwing it to the
side since he knew his identity as a werepyre was going to be
revealed, which was the only reason he wore the mask.
Anderson: You regenerated and command black flames. You're not
human... He says as he also regenerates, confused as he studies
Kindron after Kindron takes his cloak and mask off, wearing
black pants and a red shirt. Now that his cloak was off,
Anderson had gotten a good look at Kindron to see what Kindron
was.
Anderson just smiles as he continues to regenerate. Anderson: A
werewolf, huh? First a vampire and now a werewolf.
Kindron stops suppressing his features, and his wings and tail
come out of his back. Since Kindron was needing to fight at full
strength, he couldn't keep his concentration on suppressing his
werepyre features. His pupils shine red and seem to glow in the
moonlit night as the moonlight shines in the window, and
Kindron's black fur seeming to react to the air around them as
his fur seems to move side to side due to the slight breeze that
had been generated by Kindron and Anderson's clashes. His voice
had become something of a growl as he was no longer trying to
sound human, and went back to his normal werepyre force which
was much deeper than when he tried to sound human.
Kindron: Actually... I'm a werepyre. He says in a deep voice
that was normal for him once he stopped suppressing his werepyre
features as he readies his sword again.
Anderson chuckles as he readies his bayonets to attack again.
Anderson: Well... A vampire and a werepyre? Hellsing is full of
tricks. He looks to Kindron with an annoyed expression. And you
have the nerve to criticize my servitude to God! He says as he
gets ready to attack again.
Kindron readies his sword. Kindron: Blessed are the poor in
spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they
that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek:
for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do
hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed
are the pure in heart: for they shall see God (Matthew 5:3-5:8).
He says before he and Anderson attack each other again.
Anderson: Don't quote scripture to me, monster! You're just a
monster of the darkness! You're not fit to serve God! He says in
anger.
Kindron: Maybe not... But he saw fit to give me a chance to do
good. A chance at redemption... Even for a monster like me. He
says as he looks to Anderson with determination.
Kindron and Anderson manage to slash each other again, with both
regenerating as they slash each other back and forth a few more
times as they attack each other.
Anderson: A monster who pretends to be a man of god? What kind
of pathetic nonsense is this? He says with a bitter look to
Kindron, regenerating his wounds again as Kindron regenerates
his own wounds using his lighter again to generate black flames.
Integra, from the side lines, looks at Anderson as Anderson
regenerates. Integra: A regenerator... And they upgraded the
hardware. She says partially to herself, but also to Anderson,
from the side as Kindron got ready to attack Anderson.
Anderson: That's right. He says to Integra mentioning he's a
regenerator.
Kindron: Funny... Regeneration is my specialty too. He says with
a smile, though it was hard to tell due to Kindron's werepyre
form.
Anderson pulls out another handful of bayonets, throwing them
with holy energy at Kindron. In response, Kindron holds up his
lighter, and breathes like he's blowing the flame out as the
flame of the lighter turns back, grows in size in front of
Kindron almost like a dragon breath attack that was using the
lighter and Kindron's breath as a flame source, and engulfs the
bayonets, melting the metal which causes them to fall in a
molten mess of metal. Kindron releases fireballs from the
lighter, holding it so the flame was pointed toward Anderson, as
his flames were trying to blast Anderson.
However, ready now, Anderson dodges the flames, moving side to
side to avoid the flames and moves close to Kindron to attack
him again as he moves to try and slash Kindron with his blades.
Though Kindron, still holding Shinso, uses it to block, standing
with his side facing Anderson, then flicks his lighter switch as
he holds it behind Anderson's view in his other hand, which
releases flames around him to try and burn Anderson up close
from multiple directions. Anderson has to jump back again, and
Kindron runs toward Kindron to attack with a sword slash,
attacking Anderson to keep his attention on him. Anderson
manages to block Kindron's attacks, and barely manages to dodge
more of Kindron's dark flames as he moves back again.
Kindron and Anderson lock blades again, as Kindron uses his
sword, but has to put his lighter away as he has to use both
hands to hold his sword this time as Anderson was putting far
more strength behind this attack than before, which Kindron used
both hands to hold his ground against Anderson.
Once Anderson and Kindron jumped back from each other again,
Kindron looks to Seras, who was also watching the fight as a
thought occurs to him that he hadn't thought of during the heat
of the fight. Kindron: Seras! Where's Alucard?! Why the hell am
I fighting his battle for him?! He says to Seras. At this point,
he knew Alucard enjoyed battling strong opponents, and was
starting to get annoyed that Alucard hadn't shown up yet.
Anderson: Oh... That vampire you like to parade around so much?
You missed his decapitation. He says with a smile.
Integra: You cut his head off? Is that all? She says with a
smile.
Kindron chuckles to himself as he looks to Alucard. Kindron:
Then all you probably did was p*ss him off. He says somewhat
jokingly. Or made his day that someone was skilled enough to do
that, knowing him.
Anderson: I'll cut your head off, werepyre... I'm guessing you
won't be so lucky to survive if I cut your head off.
Integra: Better do it quick... Or you might find yourself
overwhelmed... She says, knowing that Anderson probably wouldn't
be able to fight both Alucard and Kindron together.
Anderson: Then I'll kill you both quickly and kill the vampire
again. Anderson just takes out his bayonets again. However, he
is caught off-guard when Seras shoots at him, which he blocks,
having recovered from her previous injuries.
Kindron: Seras! Leave him to me. He says to Seras.
Seras: But... She says, somewhat worried about Kindron.
Kindron: I can handle this one, don't worry. You're going to get
yourself killed if you try to jump into this fight. He says to
Seras. Unless you'd like to step in, Alucard... This was your
fight first. He says, looking past Anderson as he seems to look
over Anderson's shoulder at what appeared to be the hallway
behind Anderson.
Curiously, Anderson turns as Alucard regenerates, appearing in a
burst of shadows as he seems to come out of the darkness.
Alucard: Honestly... I was kind of enjoying watching you fight.
It's not often I get to see our little Wolf Mask fight a skilled
opponent. He says as he summons his gun.
Kindron: "Little"? You realize I'm older than you right?! You're
the "little" one here. He says to Alucard in slight annoyance.
When it came to their interactions, Alucard and Kindron seemed
to enjoy provoking each other at times, as they were almost like
siblings.
Anderson: You can't be serious... He says as he notices Kindron
and Alucard provoking each other.
Kindron: You're right... Neither of us can remember at this
point who's older or younger. He says jokingly with a shrug to
Anderson, which makes Alucard chuckle a little as well.
Integra smiles. Integra: It's not looking good for you
Anderson... You picked a fight you can't win.
Kindron takes his sheath, and sheathes his sword.
Anderson: What are you doing, werepyre?! He says to Kindron,
noticing that it looked like Kindron was done with the fight.
Kindron: This fight is over. He says simply as he watches
Anderson eye Alucard. Whether the fight continued or not,
Kindron knew his part was done.
Anderson: And how do you figure that? He says to Kindron.
Kindron: You're not going to take on Alucard and myself together
no matter how skilled you might be after you had so much trouble
with just me... Well... Not unless you're suicidal. He says the
last part with a shrug. He goes over and picks up his mask and
what was left of his cloak. Damn... You shredded my cloak.. Too
bad. I feel bad having to make Walter stitch this thing up all
the time.
Integra: Are you going to withdraw now, Anderson? She says with
a confident smile.
Anderson: I'll leave... I need further preparation to kill these
two... He says, referring to Alucard and Kindron as he opens his
book and releases a wave of pages, teleporting away. We'll meet
again, Hellsing! Next time, I'll put you in your graves! He says
as he disappears.
As Anderson disappears, Kindron and Alucard watch, but Seras
falls to her knees in relief.
Seras: It's over... She says as she falls to her knees.
Kindron: For now. He says in response to Seras's statement.
Meanwhile, Alucard turns to Integra.
Integra: Are you alright, Alucard?
Alucard: Yes... It's been a while since I've had my head cut
off. And now we've finally met Father Anderson from Iscariot.
Integra: He has violated our agreements, and attacked without
provocation. The Vatican will pay dearly for this.
From the side, Seras walks up to Kindron and looks at his sword.
Kindron, noticing Seras's curiosity looks to her.
Kindron: What? Something wrong? He asks her.
Seras: Just curious... Those blessed weapons he used hurt just
to touch... But you hold that holy sword like it's nothing. How
do you do it? Can other creatures learn to hold holy weapons
without getting hurt? She asks him curiously.
He holds his hands up, showing her his gloves. I wear gloves,
and they're made of a material that helps protect my hands from
the holy effects of the blade. Without the gloves, my hands
would burn with holy energy just trying to grasp the blade.
They're of my own design.
Seras: Oh... She says simply, realizing the answer was simpler
than she thought.
Kindron: Anyway... He turns to Alucard. What the hell took you
so long?! Were you really just watching me fight? He says to
Alucard.
Alucard: I didn't hurry because I knew you had it under control.
Kindron: Yeah sure... More like you got lazy once I took over.
He says bitterly.
Alucard: I had confidence you would be able to handle him.
You're almost as strong as me and I was sure you would be fine.
I just wanted to see what he was capable of.
Kindron: Hold on! Almost as strong?! I can match you stride for
stride in a fight. I think I proved that already in our last
training bout! And don't even think about giving that "I held
back" bull crap again! He says bitterly to Alucard.
Integra: This isn't the time for this you two. She says, getting
annoyed, to Kindron and Alucard. We have other things to worry
about.
Kindron: You're right... He says, as he got ready to listen to
Integra explain to Alucard and Seras what she'd found out.
While this battle ended, Kindron knew this was just the
beginning, and that something else would be coming soon.
End.
