The children nod their heads and remain quiet. The older ones
keep the younger ones close, even covering their mouths so they
don't give off Marie. Meanwhile, Jimmy use his death shadows to
silently take out the witches preparing the slaughter.
Conner barely had time to dodge the attack in time. The attack
hide his hide, making him yowl in pain.
Danae: Conner!
Conner: "I'm fine! Get that skank!"
Danae: God damn it! Help him!
Her shadow appear by Conner to help heal him while Danae runs
after Bellatrix, but more furious than ever. This time, she will
take that b*tch's head.

Marie silently begs to Legba that her luck holds out as she
begins to quietly open the cages.
Bellatrix must have gained a lot of ground in the time between
her taking off and Danae taking off. That or she’s gotten a lot
better at magic. The forest around Danae is quiet..uncomfortably
so.

As the cage door opens, one of the elder kids quietly say their
thanks and start to help usher the younger kids out.
Danae stops in her tracks and checks her surroundings. Damn,
that witch is crafty. But if Bellatrix thinks that she can hide
in the darkness, then the screws in her head are even more
loose.

Marie mouths a silent “you’re welcome” before handing over the
satchet of protection to one of the older kids with strict
instructions for them to all stick together in these woods
There’s a slight crack of a stick to her right before it seems
to echo from every direction like when you’re in a horror movie
in the woods and you think you’re losing it because the sounds
are everywhere. Danae is definitely being toyed with

The older kids nod their heads in agreement and do what Marie
tells them to do. Of course, because things are never easy, one
of the witches spotted Jimmy. Before she can rat on him, Adonia
swoops in and kills her with a dive attack. Shifting back to her
human form, Adonia takes out her kama blades as Jimmy chuckles.
Adonia: What the hell is so funny?
Jimmy: "Just that out of all people, you are the least likely to
pull that kind of stunt."
Adonia: hears the commotion And now we got company. Great. We
need to buy Marie and the children more time.
Jimmy: "Already on it, cuz."
Danae just roll her eyes and readies her staff, not in the mood
for the games.
Danae: I don't have all night, Black! Especially with dealing
with a spoiled brat like you. This whole mess with the victim's
head BS ain't gonna work on me. You and I both know that.

Marie: New plan. She has the children link hands and stands in
the middle grabbing the hands of the two children in the middle.
She pulls them along with her as she uses transmutation to take
them all to the edge of the forest. Go and whatever you do don’t
look back and don’t stop till you make it to town. Those witches
can’t get you anymore.
It’s quiet till hands latch onto her waist. Bellatrix uses Touch
of Pain in her brief moment of opportunity that Danae wasted her
breath on yelling Bellatrix: So the brat matured it seems. Not
falling for my tricks anymore. It’s a shame. You were always so
fun to mess with.

The kids said their thanks to Marie. A few small kids even hug
her before following the others to safety. While this happens,
Adonia and Jimmy continue to fight the witches. Jimmy shift back
to his human form and take out his gun to shoot some witches.
They were doing fine until Adonia froze in place, her eyes
widening in fear and pain. Damn it, not now!
Jimmy: Addy?
Adonia: We need to go, now!
Danae form a twisted smile through the pain. She then use her
corrupted flames ability to ignite it where Bellatrix is
touching Danae, hoping to burn the vampire's hands.

Marie actually hugs the small children back before transmuting
herself back to Jimmy and Addy. She lands immediately taking in
the scene around her.
Bellatrix yanks one of her hands back with a hiss Bellatrix: You
B*tch! Her eyes narrow, alight with a somewhat familiar feral
anger, but worse than Danae had seen before. Her unkempt nails
if you could even be kind enough to call them that by now dig
into Danae’s skin on the side she didn’t move attempting to
pierce through muscle and tendons while she brings a knee hard
up into back of Danae’s right knee. Her free hand aims to swing
wildly at Danae’s face.

Jimmy: You did your part, Marie?
Adonia: Where's Danae and Conner?
Danae's eyes turn red as she glare back at Bellatrix. Nice to
see Bellatrix reveal her true self. Danae hiss due to the pain
but she attempts to fight back, even though she buckle a bit due
to the back of her knee being hit. She manage to block
Bellatrix's attack going for her face and use her other hand to
try to sucker punch Bellatrix in the face.

Marie: The children will be long gone before these b*tches can
catch up. As for Connor and Danae...I don’t know. They said
they’d be right behind us.
She goes stumbling back for a moment. As she rights herself she
throws off a couple of slicing hexes before lunging back at
Danae attempting to use her already buckled knee to get her the
rest of the way down.
