The distraction seems to work until Jeb manages to slip free
from the crowd and begin to give chase. Max not know who grabbed
her begins to strike out at whoever grabbed her until she
escapes their grip and runs far enough away to have space to
push out her big hawk-like wings and push into the sky. Her face
is that of a frantic animal who has been pushed back into a
corner
Angel is still wrapped snuggly in the blanket, still serenely
sedated. Taking her and running is much more of an easy task to
handle. The only chaotic thing about her is her mind which races
at a mile a minute. It’s possible headache inducing for someone
like Theo.

Although the chaos is giving Theo a headache, Hana stays with
him as Fang and Genzo chase after Jeb once Theo told them that
Jeb is fleeing with Angel wrapped in the rug. Since the two are
the fastest, Fang push out his raven like wings and fly after
Jeb from above after taking flight, leaving Genzo to chase on
foot.

Jeb makes a wide loop back towards the building they exited from
previously. He takes a brief glance back at the chaos before
ducking inside and running to descend the flight of stairs back
to the lab. If he makes it behind the locked door, the chances
of rescuing angel are slim to none.
Max on the other hand is flying frantically first to escape
until she sees Fang take flight. She knows those wings. She had
spent every year of her teenage life with them except for the
last couple. She takes off in his direction which also leaves
Jeb ducking inside in her line of sight. She attempts to shout
over the wind Max: He’s going to take the secondary exit!

Fang nod his head and flies over to a short cut. Knowing his way
around, he plans on blocking Jeb's path so he doesn't fully
escape. Meanwhile, Genzo use his kinetic powers to try to slow
down Jeb by blasting a few narrow beams at his ankle, trying to
incapacitate him.
During the chaos, Hana looks up at Max and tries to wave at her
to get her attention.
Hana: Hey you there! You mind helping us? This is one of those
no man left behind rescue missions!

The beams cause Jeb to stumble, but they definitely don’t stop
him. He vanishes down the stairs into the heavily secured lab.
When he exits out the back, his arms are empty. He slowly stops
as the door slams closed behind him seeing himself confronted by
Fang. Jeb: Fang it doesn’t have to be this way. You could join
Max and I. Help us make this place a better world. You’ve seen
what’s going on out there. No normal person could handle all of
this.
Max looks at her like she’s crazy. Max: I don’t even know you.
Why would I help you? One good reason considering everyone I’ve
helped before is either batsh*t crazy or tries to kill me!

Fang didn't say a word. His expression alone is just rage. After
everything he and his flock were put through, he had the nerve
to say something like this? He should kill this man right now.
But his priority is Angel. Putting a hand up, he fire a spear of
fallen light at Jeb's shoulder, trying to pin him to the door.
Fang: I'm only here for them. If you want to live, give them to
me. This is not a negotiation.
Hana: rolls her eyes and folds her arms over her chest Because
your goth boyfriend wants you and the squirt safe and sound from
that mad scientist. Trust me, if I want to fight you, your ass
would be on the ground right now. But after what Fang told me,
we couldn't just turn a blind eye like every other loser. clicks
her tongue If you want proof, just hang around for a bit until
Fang shows up. But, we're running out of time. Help us find this
Angel kid. At least for the poor boy who's probably going ape
sh*t...

His strategy works and Jeb is stuck with little more than a
slight wince. He doesn’t seem fearful at least not outwardly.
Jeb: I’m afraid I can’t do that, and trust me I know your angry.
If I were you I would be too after everything you’ve been put
through. You have every right to be angry and to hate me.
However, even then I need you to think. What i’m doing...what
this group is doing is good. And in any case Angel is in a
dangerous state right now. She needs us if she’s going to
survive. I’ve handed her over to a trusted colleague. She’ll be
well taken care of. He swallows nervously And it will be
difficult I know but I need you for once to really trust me.
Angel is only the first step for a bigger project. Give me six
months. Six months to know if things have settled in her and
she’s safe. I may be a scientist, but you’re all still my
family. I raised you guys. I do care. After the six months me or
a my colleague will hand her over. At that point my only request
is a once a month visits for another six months to see this
first phase through. I’ll take what I need and you’ll never here
from me again after that. And if it brings you comfort you can
see her whenever during this initial half a year. It won’t be
like before
Max: If Jeb doesn’t have her then it’s probably too late. We
were taking her to meet someone else. She was suppose to stay in
his care for awhile. I didn’t like it but it was better than her
being here. Jeb always has these back up plans so if something
went wrong.. this other guys assistant was here to take her
away.

Fang's fallen nephilim aura does a quick burst as he form
another spear in his hand. He points it at Jeb's neck as his
eyes flash purple.
Fang: I am sick of your words and your justifications. We are
NOT family! We're your victims! All you ever give a damn about
is yourself and your research! I am going to find Angel, even if
i have to rip this world apart with my own two hands to do it!
His tone gets darker You have one chance, Jeb. Where is Angel?
Hana cursed in Nordic as she start to rack her brain for a
minute.
Hana: Maybe we can still find her. Our friend Theo is a psychic.
He can help track Angel and we can get her. You think that'll
work?

Jeb: I-I don’t know. I handed her off to my colleagues assistant
because you all show up. Where they’re taking her from here I
don’t know. I wasn’t told where she would end up in case someone
got into my head. All I know is our original meeting spot for
the hand off was a secure airfield run by Itexicon about an hour
southwest outside of the city. Since she was sedated they
planned to take her to whatever city she was staying in by
plane. That might still be the last half of the plan. He seems
to be being pretty honest for once.
Max: I don’t know a whole lot about all the mental stuff, but
it’s worth a shot.

Fang hesitated for a moment. Gritting his teeth, he lower his
spear and begin to walk away. Although Jeb may sound honest,
he's done speaking with him. He'll find Angel one way or
another. At least he has Max.
Fang: I'll figure it out. But I didn't completely lose. stops
for a second I'm done with all of you. Once I find Angel, we're
leaving for good. If I even find out that you're still up to
your old tricks, I will come back here and personally drag you
to Hell where you belong. He then start walking away, dispersing
the spear in his shoulder. As he starts walking, he notice Genzo
waiting for him. Although he's wearing his assassin kitsune
mask, Fang can tell that he's not too thrilled with Jeb.
Nodding her head, Hana makes a mental call to Theo. Getting it,
Theo starts using his psychic powers to try to locate Angel.
While this goes, Elias walks up to Hana with Terros while Han
stays with Theo for now.
Hana: Any luck?
Elias: No. The child is gone. Fang did warn us that the mad
doctor is crafty.
Hana: F*ck! Well, at least we still got this one. points at Max
with her thumb Also found out that fox boy is with Fang in case
things go south.
