Nightbane: God's favorite son... I guess based on the angels, it
would have been Lucifer. It could have also been Michael though,
which would be problem since our Michael is in Hell's Cage from
what I heard. As much as I hate to say it, it could also be
Sariel... She is the one who is known as the one to inherit the
throne of God... I have no idea who would be the favorite son.

Muriel: I don't know where on earth it would have ended up.
Honestly, anyone could have it by now, but you would think that
kind of thing would be more than obvious if anyone came by it.
She stares at her cup before speaking again. Michael strikes me
as the only one that wouldn't have went poking around if dear
old dad gave them something out of the options.

V: Damn, this is pretty tricky. It would be pretty easy if
Azrael took the second piece of the sword and stored it where no
one can find it. Or maybe... does Azrael have any children? I
know that Sariel can't touch the ones that have any association
       with Death.

Nightbane: Or the person who has it doesn't know that they have
anything of importance. He says, analyzing the situation after
Muriel speaks. It's possible whoever has it probably thought it
was just a normal object, and they may have been led to believe
it was just something they were given that was more a
sentimental gift than a "Hey, let me have you guard this" type
hand-me-down. It's possible the object might not give off any
energy on its own, so there would be no reason to think that it
would be important. A classic hiding something in plain sight
ploy. After stating his theory, he turns to V. I don't know that
Azrael or any of his kids would have it... Azrael is probably
more one of Death's favorite children rather than God's.

Muriel: Az definitely has a piece or one of his kids do by now
unless he lost it. He was the only named recipient of one of the
three pieces. The other went to who knows which one of us and
the last one is Father knows where on the blasted f*cking
       planet.

V: Damn. Only thing that might make things conveniently easier
if these pieces have some kind of homing device that will lead
       us to the other two.

Nightbane: If they had that, then there wouldn't be any point in
splitting them into pieces if you can use the others to follow
the other pieces. He says to V. He then turns to Muriel. So if I
understand this right. One is the blade of death that is
probably with Azrael or someone Azrael would have given the
blade to, one is with God's favorite kid whoever that is, and
one is somewhere we have no idea? Do we know anything about the
pieces? You said one was a blade of death, do we have any clues
what the other pieces are? He asks Muriel.

Muriel: If only it were so simple Is her sighed reply to V
before she focuses on Nightbane’s question. I have a little bit
of info on the other two pieces from hearsay and some texts. The
pieces passed on to one of my siblings is some sort of key. It
binds the other two pieces together. It’s kind of useless on its
own. Go figure for dad. As for the other piece...it’s called the
medallion of life. It supposedly grants the holder cosmic
knowledge and some healing abilities. For all I know some crazy
loon could have it. She sits her glass down as she straightens
up and leans forward a bit over the table. Seriously though, if
you’re willing to help me find this I’ll pay you handsomely and
you’ll have my gratitude and assistance in any way I can offer
it. I just need this to stay on the down low because this could
have dimension destroying potential in the wrong hands.

Since Nightbane is the genius out of the two, V just listen to
Muriel. When Muriel offers a reward, V couldn't help but think
on it. Sure, she could use the money and not depend on those
like her cousins to buy food if she's running low, but money is
a very minor thing to her unless she really needs it. Though she
doesn't mind having Muriel as an ally. She did get along with
Vanessa and Azara. Why not their mother? Plus, it would be nice
having someone powerful who doesn't want her dead or ridicule
her for being a walking bastard.

Nightbane: So... That explains why whoever has the piece doesn't
know its importance... I think that one may be the hardest one
to find. If that medallion grants someone abilities like that,
then we just need to track down people with the abilities in
question and see if they've come into contact with something
like it. Or we can try and track the energy. If this thing gives
people power, then it has to give off some kind of energy. So
the medallion should be easy to find if we learn what kind of
energy it gives off and just track it down. The blade of death
will probably be the easiest to find since we know more about it
and where it is. He says, analyzing everything said so far. As
for the reward... I don't know about V, but I don't really need
a reward. In all honesty, I don't care much about money other
than buying food so it's not of much use to me. You seem like
you're a pretty good person, so I don't mind helping out if I
can. And I'm all for not talking about this to anyone. We should
be careful even bringing it up. These days, eyes and ears are
pretty much everywhere, so the less we talk about it, the
       better.
