Nikki growls as she makes more adjustments between the computer
and receiver. Nikki: I told them that we were dealing with a
different situation with rift travel than normal, but oh no,
elders know better. She tweaks the receiver a bit more while
telepathically inputting the adjustments into the computer. She
then looks back while saying. Nikki: I think I have it this
time!
Just as she finishes those words, the projection image clears up
to reveal an older Integra slightly smiling. Strips of white
hair frames her face which is marked with soft wrinkles of late
middle age. A scar runs across the left eye which appears white
with blindness. She wears a smart military uniform with the
marks of the Democratic Republic of Ichito, Japan, and high rank
general. The long trench coat that she wears is adorned with
several medals. Cortana: I know that this may be a shock, but
hello, mother. It's been a very long time since I've seen you
last, and am quite sorry that our little reunion is under such
dire circumstances.

Once Integra sees Cortana, her eyes widen slightly in shock due
to the appearance of herself but... older. Bloody hell, is this
what she'll look like when she gets old?! Sure, she doesn't have
immortality like Alucard and the others but it's also somewhat
unsettling that she might lose an eye in the future. Mid life
crisis thoughts aside, Integra decides to put the pieces
together. Is this Phoebe? Her Phoebe from the future? What in
the hell happened?
Integra: Good God, I don't even know where to even begin...

Cortana knew that the appearance of her biodroid would probably
shock Integra. She also knew that Integra would figure out
exactly who Cortana is. Cortana: Yes, I am your Phoebe except
these days I go by Cortana Phoebe Wingate Hellsing. Please
excuse my biodroid body, but she's been through a lot over the
last 30 years. Cortana pauses a moment. Cortana: Biodroid bodies
for energy intelligence like me are a combination of Time Lord
organic technology and Earth cloning. These organic androids are
grown using either existing DNA or genetically mixed DNA and age
just like the intended mimicked species. They also have most of
the organs, blood, and need everything that normal people do,
but they have an organic quasicrystal brain and metamaterial
nervous system and bone structure that can handle the power of a
living energy being like myself. She then touches the base of
the scar across her eye, glad that it's the only scar currently
visible. Cortana: This means that we feel pain from injury and
heal damage even scar just like normal people.. and I've fought
my fair share of battles as you can see. Cortana chuckles a bit
as she lowers her hand. Cortana: Don't worry. I've done you
honor here in the 41st century when it comes to combat. She then
gets a bit more serious. Cortana: Unfortunately, this biodroid
is a direct link to my main consciousness and thus stuck here in
the 41st. Thankfully Lady LaFey and Fezzywig are both very
talented at what they do to allow us this conversation. With the
basics out of the way, Cortana decides to let Integra ask some
questions before getting to business. She figured that there
might be some especially after mentioning that she is a living
energy consciousness/being. Cortana: Anything you like to ask
before getting to more serious business?
The others remain quiet for now so Cortana and Integra can talk.

It took Integra a minute to collect herself and regain her calm
composure. But her curiosity and shock is still there for those
with supernatural senses. If this is from the 41st century, what
is like over there? Is Hellsing still around? What about her
immortal companions like the Darkfire family?
Integra: I don't even know where to begin to ask.

Cortana can understand the shock that Integra is going though as
she has had her own big shocks over the years as well. Her smile
becomes more understanding as she adjusts her stances a bit.
Cortana: How about this? I'll have Nikki setup the computer in
her room. She knows quite well how to keep 21st century me from
listening. Cortana then pulls out an Europan cigar from the
Europa colony, New Good Hope, and lights it. She then exhales a
puff of smoke. Cortana: I might not be able to tell you
everything, but what I can tell you can wait for after the shock
wears off. A crash happens somewhere behind Cortana followed the
sounds of a toddler laughing and being chased which Cortana
temporarily flinch as she takes another drag and then sigh the
smoke out. Cortana: And allow time for the grandkids to be
picked up by their parents for a bit less.. chaos for such
catching up. Now a man's voice comes from behind Cortana
apologizing as she silently hopes her husband, Akito, can get
their grandsons down for a nap. She takes a another drag of her
cigar and regains her composure. Cortana: Please excuse the
noise behind me. Perhaps we should move on to the more serious
business at hand before the dynamically hyper duo break free of
my husband.
Atlas couldn't help himself at this point and starts laughing
once he realizes that Cortana's son dropped the kids off to be
babysat again. Atlas: Talk about Rich dropping off the boys at
the most inopportune times. That gets a throat clearing from
Feling towards Atlas.
Hiroshi is more under his breath. Hiroshi: Talk about a way for
Sir Integra to find out that she's a grandmother and great
grandmother in the 41st century. That get him an elbow in the
side from Feling.

Wait a minute... husband? Cortana has kids?! How is that even
possible?! She's a bloody computer! Oh God, she's unsure if her
heart can take this madness.
Integra: Are there any other surprises you or the others are
hiding that I should know about?

Feling's ears go down a bit as she witnesses Integra's reactions
to finding out about the two grandkids. Her brain tried like
Hell to figure out why things couldn't go smoothly.
Cortana: There's quite a few surprises but we'll take those one
step at a time as somethings are classified even to Feling and
the others. Cortana relaxes more as it seems that Akito had
managed to get the boys under control. Cortana: As for my
husband and the family, my biodroid allows me to experience all
of the same experiences as living flesh and blood humans..
Cortana takes a drag of her cigar and exhales. Cortana:
..including aging, marriage, and motherhood. It's part of the
technology and why DNA is vital to the process of growing a
biodroid. It's allowed me to have three sons and one daughter..
who's thankfully still in cyber medical school and not dating
yet. My eldest boys are married, Arthur has twin girls and a son
while Richard has the two hellion boys that you heard probably
knocking over one of my vases again. She then gives a small grin
while taking another drag. Cortana: My youngest son is engaged
to his future husband and driving me nuts with bridezilla
wedding planning. Trust me. You would much rather be in the 21st
century right now than dealing with a bridezilla son. Facing
demons, vampires, and saving the world is much easier than
trying to help pick out the perfect China pattern and wedding
invitations and not as scary as picking out bride's maid
dresses.
The last part made Hiroshi quietly snicker and whisper. Hiroshi:
Well when you're obsessed with the colors pastel pink and royal
purple... This time a grinning Atlas gives Hiroshi the elbow to
the side in order to cut him short.
Cortana only raises an eyebrow and shakes her head a bit at
Hiroshi, but she knew where he was getting at with the remarks.
Daniel was always a prima donna. Cortana: I'll show you pictures
of the kids later after a more private conversation that Feling
and the others aren't privy to. There are much bigger surprises
involving the 21st century that we must discuss in order to stop
Chaos from destroying the multiverse.

Although Cortana having a family is shocking, she is right.
There are more important matters to attend to. Especially with
everything that is going on as of recently.
Integra: Right. So let's start from the beginning. What threat
are we facing that is drastic enough for the group to come here?

Cortana takes one last drag off of her cigar and put it down in
an ashtray off camera as she exhaled. Cortana: There is no easy
way to put this, but my people are there because you and those
fighting Galian need Atlas in order to reconstruct the most
powerful god trap in the multiverse so Chaos can be captured and
recontainted.. in a child vessel. Cortana's serious face does
expose her dislike of the discussion that is beginning due to
her motherly instincts, but in her mind, she knew that there is
no other way to save the whole of existence. Cortana: This means
that we have to keep Galian's forces searching for a Hell Knight
named Enoch as a distraction while we and some others search for
all parts of the Chaos Trap and the soul merge ritual. Cortana
then raises an eyebrow a bit. Cortana: This includes finding a
16 year old boy named Illias Zeus Deimos who is a mutant without
a soul and in the possession of the US Department of Defense's
Weapon X Program.. Cortana tries to keep her disdain of the US
Weapon X Project from her voice as she spoke. Cortana: ..as an
"agent".
Atlas' smile fades a bit as Cortana mentions his name. He had
been told the stories of the ritual's and trap's construction
and reason for it. He just never imagined that he would have to
put his great grandfather's creation back together. He always
thought it would be his dad or brother but never him. Nikki
listens closely but then gets distracted with a rift anomaly
alert on the communication computer and checks it closely as
Cortana speaks. Feling and Hiroshi listen though he's listening
closer than Feling since she knows much of what is being
discussed when it comes to the big problem in the 21st century.

Integra doesn't hide the frown about the situation. A child? Not
to mention a human mutant who is part of some Weapon X Program
that does God knows what to children? It's a very good thing
that this conversation is private. Hell, it's a good thing that
those like her alternate half brother Akiba isn't hearing this
or else he would blow a fuse.
Integra: I understand how dire the situation is and we need to
do what we have to but then again, words cannot describe how all
of this sounds. Are you sure that this is the only option we
have?
