Person: Those are rumors... People don't mutate the way he
thinks. Radiation breaks down the bonds between cells and that
basically only does one thing: Kill you. Before the war, there
were fiction stories about how radiation could give you super
powers... But that crap is a myth. People seem to think it
happens and desperate people go into the cities to try and get
super powers.

King thinks for a moment. King: This might be a little off
topic, but... He points to the town he and V came from. What
town is that? That wouldn't happen to be Vladivostok, would it?
Person: It used to be... Now it's just a radiated mess.
King: I see... King thinks again for a moment. Vladivostok was
where the Special Forces base was that V and King had been
sparring in before being sent to this world, and King was
testing out a theory of his.

V: Are you guys the only ones alive around here or are they any
other survival sites? Also, are we the only unusual thing you
saw or did you also see something unusual even before the
bombings?

Person: Well... There are people around the towns, and some
people who live in secluded areas, but you need to be careful.
There are some gangs around that kill people who wander into
their territory. Some are pretty reasonable and let you live if
you give them your resources, but others will just kill you and
take anything you have. As for unusual... The most unusual thing
we saw here was you people coming from the sky without
parachutes... That's pretty much it. There are a few cursed
places supposedly where people go and never come out from, but
we don't really know much about what's in those places.
