to exhibit the behavior you want them to show... Something I

During a fight with an enemy.
Enemy: We're going to kill you Vobu! You won't become the next
Lucifer.
Vobu: I can't tell you how many times I've heard that. He smiles
and looks at the enemy. They all say that, and yet none do more
than bore me. Classic hero cliche crap.
Enemy: Your a monster that has to be stopped! He goes and
attacks.
Vobu disappears in a burst of demonic light, leaving his table
he was sitting at to take the attack.
Vobu reappears behind the enemy and sighs. Vobu: That was rude.
I'll have to teach you some manners.

like dropping an anvil on a cardboard box. The spirits that help
maintain your world are often too scared to even be in the same
county as Vobu and most flee. And then the dark spirits come and
make everything worse. Vobu's presence is enough to cause
problems in the world. He doesn't seem evil, but he will eat
anyone that doesn't amuse him without hesitation." - A voodoo

Him and an alternate Zenrael set up shop there and have been
operating there for years. They're usually not a threat unless
bothered, though they do sometimes help the Brotherhood out when
they're in tough spots. Don't be fooled by their fun atmosphere
though... They're servants of Phantom, and they are very
dangerous if you piss them off." - Jon Talbain explaining who

Weapons:
- Collector Dual Edged Scythe: Collectors use special scythes
which are similar to death scythes. Because collectors are
almost like the dark spirit version of grim reapers, collectors
have a similar weapon as well. Collectors scythes are able to
kill anything, even gods thanks to them being designed similarly
to grim reapers. Because Death and Phantom have somewhat similar
methods of making their weapons for the people who work for
them, Phantom's method of creating the collector scythes were
designed just like the death scythes. This makes them almost the
same, except that collector scythes, instead of being able to
manipulate life and death energy, focus more on manipulating
darkness and drawing in darkness from the Shadow Realm that one
can use. Many collectors store power from the Deep Shadow Realm,
usually in the form of the Whispering Darkness of Xeles. These
scythes can kill any creature, as long as they are struck in the
heart or brain, or a lethal spot. When attacked, these scythes
interrupt regeneration similar to other metals like varanium.
However, unlike varanium, there is no gaining immunity to these
scythes due to them being supernaturally powered that makes
immunity impossible. Even those that adapt to the metal and
power the blades are made of cannot negate the effects of the
metal. Of course, just like death scythes, these do have to hit
a target, and their ability to negate regeneraiton only works
with direct hits, and not hits from their darkness attacks.
Vobu's scythe is a dual edged scythe he had Phantom make him
after one was given to him and he enjoyed using it in battle.
Now, this is Vobu's only real weapon he keeps as his main
weapon. His other weapons are usually created through his metal
and earth manipulation.
- Angel Sword (Grigori Angel Blades): The Grigori were a special
angelic elite unit, and had special weapons as a result of their
status. Unlike normal angel blade, these blades are longer and
designed to be more like smaller swords than knives like typical
angel blades. This is designed to do more damage to angels and
demons, and can work fairly well against angels, demons and even
higher level beings. Since the Grigori blades were designed to
be used against high level opponents, the blades, when wielded
by a Grigori, are able to even kill archangels and demon
princes, assuming the blade hits the heart or brain. However,
unlike archangel blades, it usually takes multiple strikes
before it can kill an archangel or demon prince, since these
blades aren't as strong as archangel blades. These sit somewhere
between angel blades and archangel blades in terms of ability,
and while they can kill everything normal angel blades can kill,
they can also kill certain things archangel blades work on, but
require multiple strikes before being able to kill high level
beings. Every Grigori sword is designed and the angel's name is
engraved on the blade in Enochian, which marks each blade for
each Grigori angel.
Voodoo Doll Companions:
- Doll Hei Darkifre and Alucard Tepes: These are two of Vobu's
voodoo dolls, used when he took souls from an alternate Hei and
Alucard who were enemies of the Exiles that he took the souls of
after the Exiles beat and killed them with the help of Sabbat
Hei. These two dolls are small and usually fly around Vobu when
they are manifested. These are made using Vobu's advanced soul
doll art that animates dolls using souls, and these two are the
only two that are given special connection to Vobu and are able
to remanifest (the rest are basically disposable). The main
reason is because of both Doll Hei and Doll Alucard having the
ability to make familiars out of people, with Hei being able to
make demon armor familiars and Alucard being able to make new
doll familiars using blood he takes. As such, they are able to
create new dolls for Vobu to use as Vobu allows them to take
souls and blood. However, they also have all of Hei and
Alucard's abilities respectively (IE Hei has the Darkfire skills
and dark flames/holy lightning like other versions of Hei and
Alucard has his hounds of baskerville and other vampire
abilities). These dolls may look funny and most people can't
take them seriously, but when they fight, they prove to be
Vobu's most deadly creations, as both have been able to take out
enemy groups on their own due to Alucard and Hei having the
skills and training, and even the appropriate weapons to fight
with (Both are armed with varanium weapons with Hei having
varanium wires and daggers, and Alucard having guns that shoot
high caliber varanium ammo). These dolls can be destroyed though
with enough power, though stopping their regeneration usually is
difficult since varanium doesn't work on them being voodoo dolls
rather than people. However their regeneration can be
interrupted with angel blades, due to the demonic nature of the
dolls themselves, even though Hei and Alucard are vampire more
than demonic (though they are both slightly demonic in power as
Hei is based off a demonic vampire version of Hei who never
stopped being a guardian of Hell's Gate, and Alucard is the same
demonic vampire basically that the London universe Alucard is).
Overall, the two are best countered with holy abilities. These
two also don't talk, as they have a silent connection with Vobu
and their mouths don't move, though they can use vampire
telepathy if they truly want to communicate. These two usually
are only a threat to people who are a threat to Vobu, and
usually don't attack people on their own unless Vobu orders them
to kill someone.
Demonic Abilities:
- Fallen Angel-Turned Demon Power: Angels and fallen angels are
far more predictable than humans when it comes to becoming
demons. While many still become unique demons based on who they
were before their fall from grace, most angels who fall into the
corruption of turning into demons are usually easier to predict
than human turned demons. The most known angels turned demon are
the demon princes, who were angelic before they eventually were
turned into demons through embracing their corruption. Unlike
humans, an angel or fallen angel are "reborn" as demons when
they embrace their corruption of sin, or the corruption of sin
corrupts them beyond a certain point. This can happen to a
normal angel or to a fallen angel, though fallen angels are
typically more prone to this than normal angels. Most of an
angel's power is converted into demonic power when they change,
barring certain exceptions to the rule, like the demon prince
Asmodeus who became the first nephalem-type demon. However,
angels turned demon are also typically more powerful than humans
turned demon, due to angels being a more powerful race (usually,
but not always), and become all about power when they turn into
demons, as evidenced by their spirit nature change that converts
them from a holy healing type spirit to a much more potent
demonic spirit. However, the things that must be noted is that
while the angels are more powerful once converted into demons,
they have less adaptability than human-turned demons, and aren't
able to learn new powers as easily, with some having to resort
to soul devouring or absorbing powerful forces in order to make
themselves stronger. Usually, most angels who turn demon often
become powerful demon lords, usually ruling over their own
legions of demons, often acting like generals and rulers of
hell. Vobu was once a grigori angel in the form of a rabbit, but
after he fell after killing a bunch of the other grigori angels
who were bullying him, he became a fallen angel, then became a
demon to try and join hell after the fallen angels considered
him a threat to them. After becoming a dark voodoo demon lord
and getting rejected by hell for fear of his growing power, Vobu
eventually found his way to Phantom and learned dark arts from
Phantom. Now Vobu is a dark arts master, with mastered dark
arts, blood arts, and other abilities.
- Grigori Watcher Animal Shift/Fallen Battle Form Shift: Vobu
and his brother Zenrael were part of a special sub-unit of the
Watchers, where they would watch humanity from behind animal
forms they would take. However, after their sub-unit became
fallen angels, they repurposed these forms into special battle
forms using special dark arts, and turned them into special dark
forms they can take. While they can still take their normal
animal forms, they usually fit in more in their human forms, and
only use these forms for special battle forms. In the case of
Vobu, he has a mutated white rabbit form alongside his original
white rabbit form, and these forms remain his animal form today.
For Vobu, his battle form is what appears to be a rabbit monster
with red eyes (reflecting his demonic red eyes). Both his human
and battle form are both designed to be used in battle, but the
battle form is smaller and harder to catch, in which Vobu uses
his speed and agility of a rabbit to outmaneuver opponents.
Vobu's battle tactics are usually designed for speed over
strength, so this also reflects in his shorter battle forms,
though part of this is also because he is a fairly short person
that many mistake for being a kid.
- Grigori Watcher Farsight: Both Vobu and his brother were once
watchers of humanity, which granted them special sight to watch
humanity from a distance as it was their job as part of the
Grigori. The watchers main focus was watching mortals and the
world around them, something that angels did to watch humans of
interest. Those who become or are born as fallen angel watchers
eventually started using this to watch humans of interest to
them, in order to find people they could make manipulate or get
to work for them. This power lets a watcher see anything in the
world they want by focusing their sight where they want and can
even perceive what goes on in a given area they're watching.
This power lets the watcher watch almost any event they want
from a safe distance, as they are able to keep tabs on almost
every major group in the living world as long as they know where
they are. This power lets them focus their senses to other
places, but thanks to their enhanced mind and focus, they are
able to use this without focusing completely on another area,
and can watch an area and focus on the area around them as well,
making this a good way to watch what goes on in the world while
still keeping themselves from being surprised by what goes on
around them. For the most part, many use this just to keep track
of what's going on in the world, as this isn't really a battle
tactic, but just something they use to watch from their small
corner of the world.
- Demonic/Demon Aura Manipulation: Most demons are familiar with
demonic energy, with demonic energy being the basic unholy
energy that fuels almost every kind of demonic power generated
by demonic entities. Demonic energy is fairly basic for most
demons, being an unholy energy that can be used to attack
opponents or be used with certain powers in order to create new
variations of abilities. This energy is pretty basic, and the
opposite of normal angelic/holy energy. Unlike angelic holy
energy though, typically demonic energy is more about power than
anything, whereas angelic power is about purification. While the
two still counter each other just the same, most know how
demonic energies are all about raw power. And at the top of the
more powerful energies demons can wield, higher level demons can
use demon aura, a higher level demon power where demons fuse
demonic energy with their unholy aura to create a powerful
demonic energy, originally designed to counter archangels and
the angels that use celestial force to fight higher end demons.
Both energies are unholy and demonic in nature, being able to be
used similarly to attack opponents or combine with other
techniques. There is also an amplification effect demonic energy
can be used to amp those of unholy nature, which is easier to
use when using demonic aura, as it is a more natural amplifier
to demons than normal demon energy. As many know, normal demonic
energy doesn't do as much damage as demon aura, but costs less
power to use while demon aura does more damage but costs more
power. And these energies can of course be countered by their
holy counterparts. This also doesn't cover things like demonic
spirit energy which is more powerful than most other types of
spirit energy, or many other demonic powers and energies that
exist among more unique kinds of demons. Just like there being
many kinds of holy energy, there are many kinds of unholy energy
as well. Of course, just the same, demonic energies are
countered by their holy energy counterparts, with there being a
holy counterpart for almost any kind of demonic energy/power.
- Darkness/Unholy Darkness Manipulation: Just as angels
typically use light and fallen angels use corrupted
light/darkness, demons use darkness to fight, being unholy
creatures that can fight using darkness. Thanks to this, many
demons are able to manipulate darkness to attack opponents, and
can even fuse normal demonic energy to their darkness to create
an unholy darkness depending on the demon's abilities. Most
demons can not use demonic darkness, which fuses demon aura with
darkness energy, because the two energies are hard to fuse
together without exploding in one's face. However, those who are
trained and experienced enough, or train with those like
Belphegor who use demonic darkness may eventually learn to use
it with enough practice and training. Demons who use this are
able to use shadows to attack others, and use certain techniques
like shadow traveling if they become experienced enough in
learning how to manipulate darkness and how it connects to the
shadow realm but since demons have their own method of
teleportation, they typically don't need to use shadow travel.
Using shadows is actually a bit harder than one might think,
since shadows can be used in multiple ways. One could solidify
shadows to spear others, create a liquid-like shadow to drown
someone in shadows, or even create a shadow mist to darken an
area. There are many variations of darkness abilities, as shown
by fallen angels, and this might not just include normal
darkness, but there might be those who are able to power magic
on darkness (such as dark magic), and those that can power
special arts on darkness, like the dark arts. Unlike light with
is more glass-like nature, shadows are more of a liquid type
control unless solidified. These darkness manipulations of
course are counterable by typical light abilities, and can be
countered like any other darkness manipulation. Unholy darkness
can also be countered by holy power. Just as there are multiple
types of light, there are also just as many types of darkness if
not more.
- Hellfire Manipulation (can be changed to different demon
element): Most demons usually start out with at least one
demonically-infused element, with most demons starting out with
hellfire as their initial power. This mostly depends on the type
of demon, as some demons may start with some other demonic
element, but this is often the default elemental power most
demons start out with. Hellfire is generated in hell, but is
able to be created by demons who have this power, using demonic
energy to generate heat until they create fire from their
demonic power, generating a powerful crimson flame that burns
hotter than normal flames. Some can even summon hellfire from
hell itself, in which summoned hellfire can be used much more
easily since it doesn't have to be created. This is usable just
like normal flame manipulation, such as burning others, creating
fireball attacks, creating constructs of flames, or even
creating explosive attacks. This fire is an advanced fire
manipulation, and does a combination of fire and demonic energy
damage when used. More advanced users can use hellfire for
other, more advanced purposes, such as creating lava type
attacks or molten object attacks, but this not only requires
advanced control training, but also requires being able to
change the fire's form into more of a liquid type flame,
something only advanced fire manipulations can do. Typically,
most demons only start with this before awakening their own
unique demonic type powers, and some can even lose this if they
have certain abilities, such as the demon Leviathan who is a
water type demon and lost his ability to generate hellfire in
favor of generating demonic water manipulation. This is
counterable just like normal flames, though one has to keep
track of the fact that the flames burn much hotter than normal
flames, so one needs higher level ice manipulation, or a
powerful holy energy manipulation that can counter the demonic
element.
- Demonic Presence: Almost all demons have some sort of demonic
presence, which many have learned to weaponize. When a demon is
present, most have some way that it shows when they are around.
This is different depending on the demon and their abilities.
Those with stronger auras may have enhanced aura or some may
have more subtle presences. Usually, anytime a demon is present,
most will notice the smell of sulfur, or sulfur might be left
behind by demons, as a product of their power that comes from
hell and of their demonic energy. All demons have some sort of
presence that they give off and many generate this sulfur. This
is unique to most demons, though most usually either have a
strong unholy aura, or they have a strong presence that can be
felt. Most demons are able to suppress this presence so others
can't sense them usually, but the demons do still leave behind
sulfur, which is something that tends to happen passively. This
is mostly just an effect of a demon's presence in an area, an
effect that actually tends to make them easier to track.
However, there is an advantage to this, as some demons have
learned to weaponize this presence. Some use this in combination
with other demonic abilities, generating sulfur for their own
purposes, usually those with a more scientific understanding of
how sulfur interacts with other elements. This eventually became
a weapon that many normal demons without presence powers can
use, where they can do fight others using their presence's
sulfur, such as using molten sulfur as an explosive substance,
or a water demon using sulfur to create sulfuric acid
manipulation. Though some demons like Lucifer or Asmodeus may
light up an area with their presence, or some demons have unique
effects like areas growing strong with energy or storms
appearing overhead for more powerful demons with weather
manipulation abilities. However, even demons with unique
presences have learned to weaponize their presence somehow. This
usually just depends on the demon and their affinities, as well
as how their power interacts with their presence.
- Demon Telekinesis/Shockwaves: Most demons have some form of
demonic telekinesis that they gain when they become a demon, in
which they can grab, throw or hold things. This is useful for
dealing with opponents, in which most demons can telekinetically
throw or hold opponents depending on how their telekinesis
manifests. Some can also use this to throw objects or grab
objects with a hold and move it to them, which is a typical
ability. This telekinesis can also be focused by some demons
into shockwave techniques where they are able to fire
telekinetic shockwaves at opponents to do concussive damage,
with some being able to only use this in shockwaves, and some
are only able to grab things with their telekinesis. Some who
are more powerful can also do things to affect people, such as
using this on their voice box to silence them, or using this on
certain objects to crush them in a telekinetic hold. Some more
advanced demons can even do things like heating up objects with
their telekinesis, or even generating electrical power depending
on how they use it. Depending on the technique and skill of the
demon, almost all demons have to concentrate to use this, in
which opponents can break free by breaking their concentration.
Usually the best way to break a demon's concentration is to
attack them, in which they are forced to focus on the
telekinesis or the attack. This power can be resisted against by
stronger opponents, as some can slightly overcome the
telekinetic hold. It's also possible to move fast enough to
avoid getting grabbed by telekinesis if one simply moves faster
than the telekinetic grab can grab them, which requires immense
speed to be able to move completely out of an area within one
fourth of a second (roughly). This can also be countered with
other telekinetic style abilities.
- Demon Possession: Just like angels and fallen angels, demons
have two main choices when possessing people. Their first option
is often the most used option availaible, in which they possess
others. Unlike angels who require permission from a host before
possessing them, demons simply possess their hosts forcefully,
usually overpowering their consciousness and suppressing the
host. This is beneficial for demons, and the longer they keep
someone under their control, the easier they learn to control
their host. While they can do voluntary possessions if a vessel
is willing, it is usually rare for someone to offer themselves
up to a demon, so it often becomes necessary to forcifully
possess someone. Unlike angels who require permission, this is
useful for demons because they will often try to find strong
hosts they can forcibly control and use their power to fight
their enemies. However, there are a few downsides to this
method, just as angelic possession has it's downsides. The first
is that stronger minds might be harder to suppress and control,
which can cause the demon to have to fight for control, and can
sometimes even be forced out if the person is strong willed
enough, especially if certain exorcisms and Enochian sigils are
used to weaken the demon. The second is that supernatural
hunters tatoo a certain mark on them that acts like an
anti-possession ward, and anyone with this ward cannot be
possessed by a demon (even though they can be possessed by
angels since angel possession is voluntary). Because of this,
demonic possession has it's own downsides, but usually most
demons use normal humans or weaker supernaturals anyway, since
they don't want to possess people with minds strong enough to
fight their possession. This possession is more often used when
one wants to possess someone with unique abilities, ones that
the demon wants to use themselves.
- Demonic Shapeshift: Similar to angels who shapeshift, demons
are able to do this as well. Normally many demons take a
smoke-like form when in their normal state due to being
corrupted spiritual beings normally, but demons have learned how
to shapeshift their smoke and shapeshift into other beings.
Thanks to this, this provides them a way to manifest themselves
in the real world without needing a possession. This is usually
made even more effective by more unique demons who might use
this to grant themselves unique traits, such as a bird-type
demon manifesting bird wings to fly, or a wolf demon having
claws. This mostly depends on the demon, with some even
weaponizing their normal smoke-like form (if they have the form
to use), where they can change the smoke of their being that
makes up their body into weapons and battle with a type of
demonic smoke body manipulation not that different from the
Darkfire elemental form power. This depends entirely on the
demon and how creative they can get with this power, since it
just requires them knowing what form and presence they want to
take. However, just like angels, their mass stays the same no
matter what form they turn into, so turning into a larger form
won't make them a larger being, and turning into something like
a dragon might actually make them weaker because they'd be
easier to cut through thanks to having less mass. Usually, any
demon can still be hurt no matter what form they are in, and
weapons that can attack spirits (Such as soul reaper zanpakutos
and death wraith soul swords) can still hurt them even if they
are in their smoke-like form.
- Demon Ally Healing and Corruption: Unlike angels who heal and
purify, demons don't need to "purify" unholy power. Instead,
they fight holy power by using the power of corruption. If one
of their allies is hurt, a demon is able to fix their allies
with their demonic power, and can fix damage done to other
beings allied with them. This power works similar for demons how
an angel's healing and purification power works for them, where
they use this to fix each other, and heal those afflicted with
holy afflictions. Because they are purely unholy in nature,
demons get rid of holy effects using this method, by using their
power of corruption to remove holy afflictions that might affect
them and their demonic allies. They are also able to heal
others, similar to an angel, by removing injuries and some
illnesses, though this power is very rarely used by demons.
Demons typically don't use this power unless they are healing
another demon, or helping an ally. They also rely on this
partially to break holy wards, by using their corruption to
slowly break a holy ward. This means that demon wards can be
broken using this power, but this might take a while depending
on the demon and how powerful their abilities are. They do also
have restoration powers to a degree, where they are able to fix
objects that are damaged or broken, which is another power that
they rarely ever use. Typically, their powers of healing and
restoration are similar to an angels, except for their
corruption to remove holy afflictions being different from
purification for the obvious reasons of this being made to
counter holy power rather than use it. Stronger demons have
stronger abilities to do this, just as stronger angels have
stronger healing and purification abilities.
- Demonic Resurrection: Just like angels, a demon is able to
bring someone back to life. Demonic resurrection is able to
bring the dead back to life, which is easier for demons than
most beings. Thanks to their abilities, they are usually able to
resurrect anyone they desire to, as long as certain conditions
are met. However, there are some things to note with this. The
first is that they must have the body and the soul of the person
they are trying to bring back. They can bring someone back with
just the body of the person who died, but that can be a double
edged sword since bringing someone back without a soul can leave
them in a state of being unable to feel emotions, and it could
become a problem later. Usually, they can bring souls from hell
pretty easily since they have easy access to hell, but taking
souls from heaven is impossible for demons without the consent
of heaven, since demons don't have any status with heaven and
cannot get into heaven to steal souls, which can be a chore to
convince heaven to let them bring someone back. For the most
part, this is only done in rare circumstances, usually requiring
a heavenly decree, or requiring the permission of either Death
or Toranoraos (usually both) before even demons will even
attempt to bring someone back, or it is someone they really
need. This also takes a great amount of energy from a demon, and
even a high level demon can use up a lot of power to do this.
The other downside is that demonic resurrections usually require
a price, usually a life for a life, as that is the price of
bringing someone back. The recoil effects like taking a piece of
someone don't happen with demonic resurrection like they
typically do with black magic resurrections, unless the demon
doesn't properly pay the price of bringing back the person.
However, the only demons usually allowed to do this are high
level demons (usually demon princes).
- Demonic Ally Amplification: Demons are able to amplify those
that ally with them, in which they are able to strengthen their
allies in other beings (typically empowering each other). The
most common use of this is when an demon empowers another demon,
and the demon becomes much harder to damage, and does more
damage to opponents. Some demons have been able to also grant
specific other defenses to others, such as some demons granting
defense against certain abilities, like using this power to help
protect them from flames or lightning powers to a degree. This
usually depends on the demon and their abilities, as every demon
typically has some unique way to amplify someone, whether it's
granting them temporary immunity to flames, granting them
regenerative abilities, or even some who can make someone's skin
hard enough to resist bullets. This amplification works on
demons as well as other supernaturals, and typically works best
when they are allied alongside others who are working with them
amping the demon as well. This was originally designed for
guardian angels who developed this power in order to help
protect the people they would guard from harm, but was adapted
by demons into a way for them to use this to empower their
allies. Demonic enhancement is far more powerful than angelic
enhancement, but over time, if overused, can damage a being due
to the immense spiritual power of demons. Because of this,
demons have to be careful, and only use this when absolutely
necessary. Unlike angels who use this on humans, demons mostly
use this on each other, though sometimes they have human
followers they might empower if they are working with followers.
- Demonic Enochian Warding: Demons are able to wards on people
and places, with this being another power that lets them counter
angels using Enochian by burning demonic runes on surfaces.
Usually, when demons do this, they are able to use their power
to burn wards and sigils on surfaces in order to ward them
against angels or even fallen angels. They are able to do things
like warding against angels, in which they would be able to use
this to keep angels from entering an area they don't want demons
in, or they could use this to even ward against fallen angels
depending on what the wards used. When used on people, demons
can do this a few different ways, with them mostly being used
the same way. Unlike angels, demon wards are all about either
casting out angels, or keeping them out of areas, though they
can also use this to help ward their followers against angelic
tracking. Usually, demons can do this by either burning the
demonic runes onto a person's skin, or they can burn these into
someone's bones outside of physical view. These wards are pretty
useful, and only those that know Enochian can use counter sigils
or spells to remove these, and angels/demons that can remove
these have to know they're there and where they are on the body.
Typically, this is a much more advanced type of warding than
typical warding, and use special Enochian runes to create
powerful wards against a multitude of threats (Though angels and
fallen angels typically are the major things demons are
concerned about). However, strong enough counters can counter
these, like a powerful enough angel or angel group could break a
warding on an area, or warding against possession might not work
in certain circumstances if the opponent is stronger than the
ward. This also typically only works on specific circumstances,
such as angel wards only working against angels, and fallen
angel wards only working against fallen angels.
- Demonic Enochian Exorcisms: For a long time, demons didn't
know how to kill angels, since angels regenerated from
everything a demon threw at them. However, this didn't stop
demons from finding ways to get rid of angels. Instead of trying
to kill them, demons developed spoken exorcisms that they could
use to send angels back to heaven, or use special sigils to cast
an angel out of an area. While demons these days can kill angels
(if they have the weapons and want to do it), they still learn
this ability as a good way to cast out angels. Demons have to
main sets of exorcism type spells. The first is for angels,
where they have developed major exorcisms for casting angels
back to heaven, and the second is for fallen angels to cast them
to a random location on earth. This doesn't keep angels in
heaven forever, but does keep them from coming back for at least
a few hours, usually enough time for a demon to have relocated.
They can also cast angels out of vessels using spoken exorcisms,
where they are able to use this against strong angels with
stronger vessels. Typically this was used by demons when they
couldn't kill angels, which isn't the case anymore, but this can
still be used against stronger angels they can't beat if they
can speak the whole exorcism on the angel, though it's rare for
an angel to just let a demon exorcise them, so a demon should
obviously expect resistance. Typically, there are situations
where exorcisms are useful, but most times, using sigils to cast
an angel away is better than using spoken exorcisms, since it
requires less prep work, and spoken exorcisms can be somewhat
lengthy at times. Fallen angels and angels do have to be cast
out differently, so one has to also know the difference between
the two exorcisms. They do have smaller exorcisms for other
things, but angels and fallen angels are usually a demon's main
enemies, so their exorcisms are mostly focused on them.
- Demonic Mind Manipulation: Unlike angels who mostly just knock
someone unconscious, demons have the ability to manipulate minds
of people, usually planting suggestions or orders into their
minds. Similar to the sleeping touch power of angels, this is
done with demons through physical touch, in which the demon
touches the forehead and then implants any orders or
manipulation using this power. Unlike angels who typically do
this to avoid fighting, demons use this in order to manipulate
humans and other beings they want to use, with most of them
being able to use this on anyone who is able to be manipulated.
While this doesn't work well against those that can resist or
are immune to mind manipulation, this is often a good way for
demons to use people to get information, since they can plant
orders and manipulate them to do something for them so that they
don't have to do it themselves. They are also able to manipulate
memories, just like angels are able to with their sleeping
touch. This works much the same way, where demons simply have to
figure out what they want to remove or change. However, if a
demon tries to remove a memory, they have to be careful, because
if they don't replace the memory, then a blank spot will appear
in the victim's mind and could cause the victim's mind to fill
the blank spot with unconscious memories (sometimes of the demon
manipulating their mind). This power is only usuable on normal
humans and weaker supernaturals, and is only really used for
demons who want to use people to get information, so they can
manipulate someone into getting them information from somewhere
they cannot go, such as a place that is warded against demons,
or a place they don't want to be tracked to. For the most part,
this is used different from an angel's sleeping touch, but has
the same weaknesses as their sleeping touch power.
- Demonic Teleportation/Space and Time Travel: This ability is
one that most angels, fallen angels and demons share, in that
almost all angels and demons can teleport. Not only can they
teleport around, but they are able to teleport to other realms
as well, such as going back and forth from heaven, earth and
even going to the Veil where dead spirits reside. This is most
often used to travel back and forth between Earth and Hell. Some
demons are even skilled enough that they can bend time and
travel through time either by themselves or with others. Due to
this, most demons are able to travel in some way through time
and space fairly easily. While traveling to certain places, like
traveling time, takes a lot of energy, most demons can use basic
teleportation to travel around as they desire. Some demons even
teleport differently, such as some might disappear in a burst of
hellfire, or some might vanish, or some even leave sulfur
presence behind as they teleport away. When used, the demon does
have to know where they are going, or else they might travel
somewhere randomly and get lost. This is especially important
when traveling between realms like going from earth back to
hell, where they might get lost in between if they don't know
where they're going. However, most demons know the path between
hell and earth well, and aside from sometimes not knowing where
specific places are, they typically have no problem traveling
there if they know where they are going.
- Demonic Astral Projection/Dream-walking: Ever since ancient
times, demons have been able to use their spiritual like being
to go back and forth from manifesting as spirits just like
angels. The main use of this was to be able to appear in dreams,
a power that demons have used to convey messages to people
chosen by hell or tried to decieve humans by posing as angels in
the past. Unlike most beings who separate their spirit, a demon
is able to turn into a spiritual being, in which they can enter
the astral plane and react with not only dreams, but can also
interact with dead spirits, and some intelligent spirits that
are not dead spirits. Demons are able to go to the Veil where
dead spirits are usually found, or the demon can attempt to go
to the Spirit Realm, which is a realm where natural spirits
reside, if they are able to perceive the spirits (Though this is
usually a dangerous trip requiring special training to get into
the spirit realm due to it's unique spirit perception required,
and demons are usually cast out of the spirit realm). Typically,
demons usually go more to the Shadow Realm, where dark spirits
reside outside of the death wraith controlled territory, which
is much better for them. This lets users commune with the dead,
and with spirits that can be perceived. Of course, the biggest
use for this is to interact with spirits, but also if one is
trying to interact with a dead spirit, it is much easier to do
so in astral projection than in physical form. The other main
use of this is going back and forth from dreams, in which demons
can also enter the dream realm, though usually in a limited
fashion where they can only interact in dreams and cannot access
the full dream realm or create dreams in the real world like
many dream demons can.
- Destroy Heaven's/Hell's Gate Pieces/God Fragments: Very
rarely, higher level demons or archangels at around demon
princes or archangel levels can destroy pieces of heaven and
hell gates which are not able to be destroyed by normal demons
and angels, which would normally be used to weaken most angels
or demons using opposing forces (IE using a Heaven's gate piece
to weaken a demon). While the demon/angel can still gain
enhancements from their force, such as demons getting amped
power form Hell's Gate pieces, or angels getting amped power
from Heaven's Gate pieces, demons and angels with this power can
choose to destroy the pieces instead if they pose a threat.
Another power that higher level angels and demons have is that
they can often destroy god fragments once their power grows high
enough by overcoming the fragment with their own power.
Destroying any of these doesn't kill those who have these pieces
or fragments fused to their souls, but instead just makes them
lose whatever benefit the fragment and pieces give them. This
technique requires immense power to use, and only the highest
level angels and demons can ever hope to be able to do this.
However, while being able to destroy a god fragment may sound
impressive, it's really not as impressive as it sounds since god
fragments are very small bits of God's power as it mostly just
means that one is around demon prince power.
Voodoo Demon Lord Abilities:
- Dark Spirit Voodoo Demon Lord: After Vobu became a demon, he
became a voodoo demon with the power of a demon lord. Vobu's
power sits somewhere between a normal demon and a demon prince.
Vobu is a powerful demon with the power of the dark arts, using
voodoo arts he has learned from Phantom and from his time as a
fallen angel. After he joined Phantom, Vobu allowed Phantom to
twist him into a demonic dark spirit, which made Vobu a dark
spirit form demon lord. Because of this, Vobu lives on the
spirit plane where other spirits live, not on the physical plane
like mortals do. Vobu has a few different kinds of arts, though
he is often known for being able to empower others with dark
arts and being able to use that empowerment to his advantage.
Vobu has a few somewhat unique arts, but he is well known for
his knowledge of the dark attack arts, dark elemental arts and
his blood arts. Vobu has had a long history in the dark arts,
and is well known for his dark arts knowledge. Vobu is known for
a variety of dark arts, which he retrained even as a demon.
After Vobu was rejected by Hell though, he became a demon
working for Phantom, and opted for helping Phantom in exchange
for the power to defend himself against Heaven and Hell as he
felt both would come after him since Heaven had tried and failed
to kill him before. Vobu's dark arts are more or less like they
sound, being dark and evil in nature, so they are countered like
one would expect, using holy power or the power of light.
Typically, Vobu's power can match that of archangels, so Vobu is
not one to be taken lightly in battle.
- Dark Arts Voodoo Magic: This powers most of Vobu's voodoo
abilities, which is his demonic dark arts voodoo magic. This
magic is mostly based around using darkness and using powerful
dark magics in the form of voodoo magic that powers most of his
voodoo abilities. For the most part, these arts are focused
around different ways to use dark power, such as attacking with
darkness spears, burning someone with darkness, or even a
technique that can summon constructs of darkness to devour
people. Among his skills, he also has dark voodoo elemental
magic, where he is able to use elementals in order to attack
people as well and use special elemental techniques. Being a
voodoo demon lord, he is able to use all manners of dark voodoo
magic, including also being able to use buff/debuff/healing
magic. This includes being able to use his magic to reconstitute
his manifested bodies, and being able to use things like
necromancy and dark spirit summoning. He also has a weapon
summoning dark magic spell he can use to summon weapons to him.
These arts are very similar to other dark magics, and work
mostly the same way. The most obvious counter to this is holy
magic, which can counter the darkness based part of the his
magic, or certain voodoo magics that can be used to counter this
as well. His voodoo magic is heavily based in dark arts, which
one can use this knowledge to plan to fight Vobu if they know
how to counter dark arts. As such, usually holy power is the
best way to do this, but some users that use other abilities
that are positive in nature can also counter this power.
- Dark Voodoo Demon Dark Spirit Manifestation: Since Vobu is
actually a demon lord in the form of a dark spirit, Vobu doesn't
have a physical form typically since he exists more on the
spiritual plane. However, he is still able to create physical
constructs that he can control. He can take any number of forms,
even creating multiple forms. These days he most often takes the
form of his human form, though he does have two major white
rabbit forms. His normal rabbit form may not appear dangerous,
especially with a cute and innocent sounding voice, but his
normal rabbit form is just as dangerous as any other of his
forms. He can also take the form of a slightly larger rabbit
monster, which is designed for agility and speed in combat. No
matter the form though, his forms are just manifestations he
controls as a demonic dark spirit. This means that destroying
the manifestations does very little to Vobu himself, and at
worst, usually just drains his power to create new
manifestations. As such, killing Vobu is nearly impossible
through just attacking his manifestations. Some ways around this
are weapons and powers that can attack spirits, but this has to
be done carefully since Vobu can devour spirit energy, so one
usually has to use another form of attacking spirits. Of course,
like some other dark spirits, powerful enough other spirits can
be used to fight him. Typically, most of his forms are not
larger than a small human, in which his human form is shorter
than many human adults. Typically, his manifested self is able
to be destroyed, and if one can destroy enough of his
manifestations, Vobu will lose the ability to manifest for a
time. The best way one can last against him if they don't have a
way to attack him as a spirit is for the opponent to just keep
destroying his manifested forms until he runs out of power to
manifest himself, to which he will not be able to manifest
himself for up to two weeks. Though one can use weapons that can
kill dark spirits, as these weapons can do more damage to Vobu,
such as death wraith soul swords or iron weapons.
- Dark Voodoo Demon Lord Time/Space Disconnection: Vobu is not
affected by time or space manipulation abilities, specifically
time stops or time travel powers in any way. Being disconnected
from time and space as a voodoo demon lord dark spirit, Vobu is
not affected by changes in time, or changes in space. This means
that things like time stops, time reversals, or even time
acceleration powers have no real effect on Vobu, and things like
spacial distortion, spacial movement, or spacial separation have
no effect on him due to him being disconnected from space and
time. This is fairly standard for powerful enough beings like
Vobu, and beings like him that are empowered by some stronger
primordial beings. If a timeline shift does happen, the
information of the time shift and what is different is
immediately known to Vobu, specifically in the form of who or
what is changing time and it's effects on him specifically. If
someone changes time, he will exist in both timelines (the old
timeline and new one created from the time travel). When it
comes to spacial movement or distortion, Vobu is able to adjust
to any distortion, movement or separation spacial energies can
affect him with. This combination also makes Vobu immune to
almost any form of space-time distortion powers, in which he
cannot be hurt or affected by things like dimension cutter
attacks. For the most part, Vobu is not able to be hurt by time
or space, though that doesn't mean that he's completely
invulnerable, since he can still be damaged like a normal being
since his normal form is a mortal-like form.
- Dark Spirit Voodoo Demon Lord Presence: Vobu has a very
powerful presence, one which often affects the environment
around him. Vobu's presence not only strengthens dark spirits
and strengthens evil abilities, but most spirits often flee when
even close to Vobu. Most spirits that control the elements are
usually driven out of an area by his very presence due to how
powerful his demonic power as a dark spirit is. This often makes
Vobu's presence able to effect the environment in a multitude of
ways. This could be as simple as heavy thunder storms appearing
(which is often common wherever Vobu is), or sometimes living
things like plants and animals around him start to rot away and
die. This is most often happening to plants, but animals can be
affected too if they are too close to his general presence.
Humans and supernaturals can resist this effect, but for the
most part, Vobu's presence is a big negative influence on the
world. In addition to that, the absence of spirits in an area
means that there is no regulation of the environment, so random
things can happen, such as storms in dry places, humidity in
places with dry air, or wind suddenly stopping when in his
presence. This effect happens most on earth and wind, which can
also effect those that use earth and wind powers from being able
to do too much damage to him. This does make him much easier to
find though, since his effects on places are easy to spot. This
also doesn't really do much in battle except make dark spirits
congregate around Vobu since Vobu is a lord of dark spirits.
- Shadows of Desire Presence: Similar to Phantom's presence,
Vobu's presence is one that appeals to the desires of others.
Like Phantom's presence, Vobu's presence is typically calm, and
normally wouldn't be noticable as a bad presence due to his
presence being such a calming presence (if it weren't for his
demon presence). The thing to note about Vobu's presence though
is his ability to bring out desires, which he brings out as
"shadows of the heart" as Phantom explains it. His presence is
able to pull sinful desires to the surface, and those that are
in his presence are usually affected. Thanks to Phantom
empowering Vobu, Vobu gained Phantom's own power, something
Phantom usually doesn't give to others. People around Vobu seem
to have their innermost desires come to the surface, and any
sinful desires are amplified by his presence. His presence is
still a presence of darkness and demonic power, but unlike
Phantom, Vobu doesn't bypass emotional manipulation immunities
since he's not as powerful as Phantom. This means that strong
willed people can resist Vobu's presence, as his presence isn't
quite as strong as Phantom's, but more just a sample of
Phantom's power that Vobu was given to help do his job. It is
worth noting that simply suppressing one's desires is not enough
to counter this, as even suppressing them means that Vobu can
bring them out. The only way to truly avoid Vobu's effect
(besides those with emotional manipulation immunity) is to truly
overcome one's desires, and unless they face their desires and
acknowledge them, the desires will only get stronger in Vobu's
presence. It is also possible to have the effects of his
presence go away if the person simply puts enough distance
between them and Vobu, as this only works in his presence.
- Dark Voodoo Art Soul Steal: This is one of Vobu's abilities
where he is able to drain the energy of someone's soul. Similar
to soul eaters, and in a very similar manner, he is able to
drain souls and devour souls after he has taken enough soul
energy. Vobu is able to consume energy through physical touch,
in which he needs to only touch his opponent to start stealing
their energy. Once grabbed by Vobu, Vobu is able to drain their
soul energy to feed his soul's hunger for energy. This is
particularly dangerous to those who use spirit or soul energy,
since this weakens their power more due to them needing soul
energy to power their abilities. This can also weaken those that
Vobu uses this on, as without soul energy, their bodies also
become weaker. This also allows him to absorb soul or spirit
energy attacks through physical touch. For the most part, this
does require skin to skin contact and has to be done through
physical touch. And depending on how much spirit/soul energy the
person has, draining them completely to take their soul can take
up to five combat rounds depending on how much energy Vobu takes
per round and the capacity of spirit energy the opponent has. It
is also possible to poison Vobu with corrupted soul energies,
with hollows being the most known source of corrupted soul
energy. These kinds of energies can temporarily poison Vobu, and
weaken him, much like food poisoning would to a human.
- Soul Eater/Dark Arts Power Gain: As one might imagine, the
main power among soul eaters is for gaining new abilities, and
for Vobu, also sustaining his abilities as he is cursed to
always require souls or else he will lose his gained power from
souls over time. Vobu has absorbed many souls over the years,
and uses their power in his dark arts. The first use is that the
souls sustain Vobu's power, in which he has to feed on souls to
survive after feeding on souls when he became a voodoo demon.
Due to the curse on him, he has to keep eating souls or he will
lose his power, which would result in him not being able to keep
up with high level demons and angels that typically come after
him to kill him. The next ability is where Vobu uses this to
gain powers from those he takes souls from. Using this, he gains
powers through dark arts by absorbing souls, in which he gains
powers through souls are converted into dark arts power
equivalents thanks to his skill with dark arts, and his use of
the forbidden arts has allowed him to convert most abilities he
gains into new dark arts abilities rather than just gaining
random powers. However, because all of his arts convert to dark
arts, they are all weaker to holy arts, and any powers he gets
come with both strengths and weaknesses depending on the skills
he gains. For example, elemental dark arts are counterable by
other elemental arts, or dark attack arts would be counterable
by other defensive arts (holy or dark arts). Usually, Vobu
relies on the fact that his dark arts are stronger than normal
dark arts users, and usually overpowers them with his arts.
- Dark Voodoo Art Blood/Flesh Consumption: In addition to souls,
Vobu also takes the blood and flesh of victims to feed his
body's hunger. In a manner similar to his soul's hunger, his
body also hungers, in which he feeds it the blood and flesh of
victims he has a chance to devour. He is able to devour the
blood for sustanence, as well as devour the blood of
supernaturals to absorb new powers if he chooses to. His ability
to devour blood is actually very similar to a vampire and many
types of werewolves, essentially working the same way. The first
portion of this power is just him using this to survive, feeding
his body so that he can continue to keep going, and using the
blood to replenish himself similar to how a vampire or werewolf
would gain sustenance from blood. This also allows him to keep
more blood to use in battle using his blood manipulation voodoo
arts. He is also able to gain new powers this way, similar to a
vampire, in that he can absorb supernatural abilities of anyone
he eats. In doing this, he is able to gain these abilities
temporarily, or permanently if he eats enough of someone. Of
course, as one might expect, Vobu gains the strengths and
weaknesses of powers he gains.
- Dark Voodoo Arts Bottomless Hunger: After succumbing to the
dark voodoo arts and using the arts to devour souls and blood,
there came a curse on Vobu for devouring souls and blood as a
voodoo arts user. This curse made it where Vobu is not ever
satisfied and has a bottomless hunger for souls and blood, no
matter what he does (unless he is purified by something like
other universes Father Hei's purification powers). This means
that no matter how much he devours, it is never enough to fully
satisfy him, and he will never be able to be stop hungering for
souls and blood. This is both a blessing and a curse, with the
major advantage being that Vobu is able to continously devour
without limits to how much he can devour due to his bottomless
hunger. The advantage is that he can continue to devour, but the
curse is that he is never satisfied so devouring is not ever
enough. This applies to both his soul devouring and his
blood/flesh consumption. This does bring up Vobu's biggest
weakness though, which is his hunger. If he stops feeding for
long periods of time, he will grow weak, and eventually lose
power if he does not continue to feed. This means that
overcoming his hunger wouldn't help him, and is something that
can be used against him if one catches him while he's hungry and
weakened. If he goes without food for too long, he will weaken,
and this is something that he has to live with.
- Dark Voodoo Demon Lord Shapeshift: When Vobu has a physical
manifestation or is in his human form, he is able to shapeshift
as he desires as part of his abilities as a voodoo demon lord.
For the most part, he often changes forms into different types
of rabbits, which reflects his origin, but can also change forms
based on his human form. He is able to do this with his
construct forms, or with his human form in order to change into
whatever he desires. Different forms can have different
abilities, such as certain forms having claws or sharp teeth, or
going into forms that can be far more dangerous such as dragons
or other creatures that have special characteristics such as
forms that can fly. These forms don't really gain any
supernatural abilities (Such as dragon form not gaining dragon
breath), though he can take the form to gain special abilities
when combined with his blood and dark voodoo magic abilities,
such as using his blood flames when in dragon form through
dragon breath (which isn't a true dragon breath, but just a
manipulation of his abilities to replicate it). For the most
part, his mass stays the same no matter what form he is in, so
larger forms have less mass than larger monsters normally would.
And his manifestations are more easily destroyed by iron
weapons, due to Vobu's power as a spirit.
- Dark Voodoo Demon Lord Spirit Immortality: Vobu's true form is
that of a dark spirit voodoo demon lord. These spirits are not
visibile (typically) by humans, and often require someone who
has interacted with special spirits of the world. Vobu is not
killable by normal standards, since he is actually a spirit. For
the most part, specific abilities are required to even track
down his true form, let alone truly "kill" him. Vobu is
technically killable, but due to him being a spirit, it is very
difficult to kill him. Vobu does take damage in spirit form if
one is able to do damage to spirits, but this usually requires
special abilities to interact with him, since Vobu is not the
same kind of spirit as a dead soul. For the most part, Vobu
cannot be killed by typical abilities or even by gods unless
they know how specifically to kill him as a spirit. However,
there are abilities out there that can destroy Vobu, such as
other voodoo practicers. Quincy powers are also a good way to
kill Vobu, since Quincy powers are among the only things that
can destroy spirits completely, which is one of the reasons the
soul reapers weren't fond of them since them destroying souls
and spirits interrupts the natural balance. There are other
ways, but usually, unless one can overpower Vobu and then kill
him with something that can destroy a spirit, there is very
little that can truly kill his true form. This is why most who
have faced him have only ever been able to seal him away. He can
be killed by things like death scythes and specific enchanted
iron weapons, but such a weapon would have to hit him on the
spirit's plane he resides in. The easiest thing to kill him with
though is a death wraith soul sword, as they are designed to
kill dark spirits, or using a spyrix sword which is a metal that
can kill spirits (thought spyrix is often considered a dangerous
metal).
- Dark Voodoo Demon Lord Dark Spirit/Dead Soul Interaction: As a
dark spirit voodoo demon, Vobu is lord over a number of dark
voodoo spirits thanks to Phantom. Vobu's dark voodoo abilities
allow him to command and control many dark spirits which are
normally among the spirits that feed on other spirits, as well
as many other types of spirits, including some dead spirits.
Some lost souls have pledged their service to Vobu in order for
Vobu to keep them from those like Death and Toranoraos. He is
able to use these spirits and summon them to fight with people,
having a number of spirits that he can call to help out. For the
most part, these spirits are usually either dead spirits that
have been corrupted by some force, or dark spirits that are
usually among the more dangerous spirits of the shadow realm.
Vobu is able to command dark spirits, but he can only command
dead mortal souls if they accept him as their master, which
usually is best done after they've been corrupted. And with his
dark voodoo magic, Vobu is able to modify these souls, even
having a number of dark spirit types he's created himself by
twisting other spirits into dark forms. For the most part, the
spirits under Vobu's command are dark spirits, and any dark
spirits still have the same weaknesses as other dark spirits
(Aka iron, death wraith soul weapons, soul reaper zanpakutos,
and other weapons designed to kill spirits), and the lost souls
under his command can be taken down by those who can take down
spirits.
- Voodoo Demon Lord Dark Arts Empowerment/Granting: When Vobu
empowers someone, he can choose to grant them certain dark arts
affinities, using his power as a dark voodoo demon lord to boost
their dark arts affinity and dark arts resistance, often
granting them more ability to use dark arts. This is why
everyone that works with Vobu eventually gains dark arts, since
Vobu empowers their ability to use dark arts, and eventually
they become strong enough to take on most higher level
supernaturals once they are strong enough in the dark arts. He
is able to grant them specific powers and abilities, usually
granting them a few abilities at a time so the person isn't
overwhelmed. He also does this as a method of control, so that
those he empowers don't grow in power to match him (as unlikely
as that would be), and uses this to maintain and control his
servant's dark arts abilities. As a result, he can use this to
empower his people with special abilities, usually dark arts,
blood arts or demonic arts, or grant them enhanced physical
abilities using his power as a dark voodoo demon lord. Most who
work for him know that he is the kind of demon lord that will
empower those loyal to him, and those that are loyal to him will
gain power through his empowerment if they just work at serving
Vobu as best they can, since Vobu is actually a more suprisingly
understanding demon than most would think. Most think Vobu is
the type to kill anyone who fails him, a rumor he tries to avoid
letting be spread about him, but overall, Vobu doesn't believe
in killing his people unless they betray him, such as previous
demons he's allied with choosing to side with Lucifer and turn
on him. It is worth noting that anyone empowered does gain dark
arts affinity boosts and dark arts resistance, but their holy
arts and holy resistance affinities are reduced as a result due
to the conversion of one's nature to boost their dark arts.
- Voodoo Demon Lord Dark Arts Reabsorption: Similar to those
like Phantom, Vobu has the ability to draw out the power he used
to empower someone, in which he reabsorbs it. After he empowers
someone, their strength and knowledge grow in the dark arts,
making his empowerment unnecessary. As the person empowered
grows stronger in the dark arts, this empowerment is not used as
much, but becomes more powerful as it is slowly overcome by the
user's own dark arts power. When the person reaches the peak of
their abilities or a high enough level, they push out the
empowerment, since it's no longer used or needed, and the power
returns to Vobu. As they grow, the power Vobu gains from
reabsorbing the empowerment grows, making him stronger as well.
As such, this means that the more people he is empowering, and
the more power he gets back makes him far stronger and helps him
grow. He is also able to learn new dark arts from his followers
who develop their own dark arts, which he encourages them to do,
and helps them to develop their own abilities rather than just
teaching them all of his abilities they may or may not have the
affinity for. As a result, this power helps Vobu as much as it
does the person who learns the dark arts and their power becomes
mostly dark arts rather at the sacrifice of their holy affinity.
The sacrifice of the holy affinity is an effect of Vobu's
ability to grant affinity for the dark arts, which Vobu doesn't
mean to happen, but just happens. As a result of empowering
someone's affinity for the dark arts, it passively reduces their
holy affinity until they lose all of their holy affinity and
have only dark arts affinities. Of course, most who serve Vobu
don't care about holy affinities anyway.
- Supernatural/Shadow Realm Deal Maker/Contract Holder: Similar
to the crossroads demons and Phantom, Vobu makes deals with
mortals, and makes deals to give mortals things they desire in
exchange for their service or souls. While some souls would go
to the Hell of Souls, some would become servants, and some would
be used as hosts for dark spirits that require hosts depending
on what Vobu needs. With his power, Vobu has a lot of ways to
give people what they desire, such as giving someone dark arts
abilities if he wants to give them power, or even just flat-out
killing enemies of someone who comes to him. Overall, Vobu is
able to make deals as long as he can grant the desires of the
user, and has many ways of doing so, usually through dark arts
and his demon lord level abilities. While he can't manipulate
reality, Vobu usually doesn't need to. Typically, people who
come to him will have their wishes granted in some fashion, as
Vobu will always deliver on what he promises. He has made a lot
of deals over the years, and holds the deals of a lot of people
in the multiverse who have dealt with him. While he doesn't
always collect on every debt, he saves some for later in case he
needs them for something else. Many see Vobu almost as another
Lucifer, making deals as he wants. However, unlike Lucifer who
makes deals to send souls to hell, Vobu makes deals to send
people to the Shadow Realm. However, Vobu is someone who prides
himself on keeping his deals and never goes against deals he has
made, even going so far as to nullify deals if he makes a rare
mistake in his deal (which has only happend a few times in his
time as a dark spirit voodoo demon lord). Since Vobu cannot go
around stealing souls as he desires, he does what he can
tempting souls into deals with him through any desire he can
draw out of them.
Hell-Generated Abilities:
- Hell Generated Abilities and Summoning: Depending on the
person and their demonic affinities, those with demonic power
can learn to summon powers generated by certain circles of hell
depending on the abilities they can use. Most can learn up to 4
different abilities, with some higher level demonic opponents
being able to learn more. Usually, only opponents close to or at
demon prince level can learn more than four of these abilities,
and usually they have to be abilities the demon can use, such as
a blood manipulator being able to use boiling blood. These can
help enhance a demonic power user's combat, as well as granting
them access to powerful demonic forces of hell which can help
them create stronger attacks or use demonic elements
specifically spawned in hell. Each of these abilities comes from
a different part of hell, with each having their own strengths
and weaknesses, as well as some having other abilities that
normal elementals don't have, such as cold wind being able to
feed on lust energy. Though just as they have their own
strengths, each has weaknesses, and are counterable by counter
elements and abilities. Vobu is
- 1st Circle Darkness of Despair: This summons the power of
darkness from the 1st circle of hell, where those who are
somewhat virtuous non-believers and pagan's go. The darkness
here is an unholy darkness, which dwells in a cave that souls
wander for eternity desperate to find God. This darkness is a
powerful dark energy mixed with unholy energy, and became the
basis for the unholy darkness power demons use, including being
the inspiration for Belphegor's demonic shadow technique. The
user can use this to create a mist to encase an area in
darkness, or use it to attack opponents. When those come into
contact with this darkness, it infects an opponent, and
increases their fear and despair emotions artificially in a
matter similar to a fear toxin, or it can be used to attack
people using darkness like other darkness techniques. However,
it does have to be done through infecting an opponent with this
attack, and can be purified with holy power. However, if they
are infected, then even the most advanced people with
disciplined mind or other mind resistant powers will have
trouble resisting this power as it is an infection and not a
mind alteration. Some strong willed opponents can still fight
this to a degree though. This darkness can still be countered
with light or holy energy, since it is still darkness.
- 2nd Circle Winds of Lust: This summons the unholy winds of the
2nd circle of hell where souls who live their lives for lust are
violenty thrown around and torn apart by unholy winds. These
winds are not only more powerful than normal winds, but can
actually be used to tear people apart if they are caught in the
wind attack. Though this is dodgable as the wind appears orange
and is clearly not something someone wants to be hit by. This
wind manipulation has the power of demonic energy infused into
it, with this wind being able to be used like typical wind
attacks, from doing things like creating shockwaves, to slashing
waves, and even concentrating certain types of air in order to
do more damage. This is similar to how a normal wind user would
use this ability, except that it also does heavy demonic damage.
For the most part, these air waves can also feed on the power of
lust, growing stronger with more piercing power if they are able
to absorb lust energy. This is very useful for those with lust
manipulation, since this power is designed to take advantage of
those with lustful natures. This is still counterable like
typical wind manipulation, with earth manipulation being the
best counter.
- 3rd Circle Demonic Cold Rain: A very cold rain that comes from
the sin of gluttony. While it doesn't freeze people instantly,
it is cold enough to cause hypothermia very fast when used
effectively. This unholy rain creates a power of water that can
counter powerful fire magic much more effectively than many
other forms of water powers. This allows users to summon this
rain in the form of waves of water. While the user can summon
demonic rain to rain down on people, it is also useful for
creating water attacks, which many will find that it works
pretty well for doing things like creating water blasts which
are powerful enough to bend metal or creating demonic water
attacks in other ways. This water has, as one might expect, a
demonic element which allows it to do demonic water damage,
which can counter holy water. This can be frozen into demonic
ice, but it is actually better to use as water, since hell's
best ice manipulation comes from another circle of hell. This
water manipulation can also be used like holy water, doing
demonic damage to people, with this working well against holy
users and angels. This water is still counterable by it's
natural counters, such as lightning or earth. For the most part,
the effectiveness of this power depends on the user.
- 4th Circle Gold of Greed: In the fourth circle of hell, those
with the sin of greed are to suffer being consumed in a pot of
melted gold. This is a combination of an unholy power and an
earth metal power. This power acts similar to lava, and if it
hardens while on someone, it does powerful unholy earth damage
constantly until the gold is removed from the skin. Those that
dodge this power must be careful not to cool the gold if it hits
their skin as this can cause it to stick to the skin and harden.
This metal is demonic in nature like all of the hell generated
abilities, and has a demonic element to it that does demonic
energy damage. This gold can be used to fight opponents, with
molten gold being able to be used similarly to lava
manipulation. It can also be solidified into weapons, which are
highly conductive, making this great for metal and lightning
users. This gold is also in a molten form, which means that
until it's solidified, it has no ability to conduct electricity
or any magnetic properties, making it immune to lightning
abilities while in molten form. This is a combination of metal
manipulation and heat manipulation, creating a highly molten
gold that is designed to trap and contain opponents within.
Using the aura of greed, the gold is boosted by unholy power.
This gold can be best taking out by water/ice manipulation.
- 5th Circle Murky Swamp: This is for the people who commit the
sin of anger, where they battle in a murky swamp for all
eternity. The user can use this swamp's essence which is a
combination of unholy power, earth powers, and water powers in
order to do unholy damage to opponents. This also works in a
manner similar to mud manipulation and can be used like demonic
water in that splashing opponents with it does unholy energy
damage as well as water and earth damage. This allows users to
use or summon the swamps of this level of hell, where they are
able to either use earth and water to create a swamp-like
atmosphere in a battle, or they can use this to attack
opponents, such as using water attacks or earth attacks to
damage opponents. This power is useful since it is a combination
and can be used either together or invidividually. When used on
a battlefield, the water and mud can be used to generate a
swamp-like environment, where movement is slowed down heavily
thanks to the sludgy water. Opponents will also have a harder
time keeping their breath, due to the heavy humidity which can
weaken those not used to swampy environments. This can be best
countered by wind powers to purify an area and perhaps cold to
freeze the water or muddy area. These powers can can also be
individually countered by wind abilities as the best counter for
both the demonic water and demonic earth.
- 6th Circle Hell's Pit Fire: This lets the user summon and use
powerful hellfire in a fight to battle opponents which comes
from where those who commit heresy are trapped in flaming pits
to burn for eternity. This hellfire burns much hotter than
normal flames, and works in a manner similar to typical
hellfire. This flame is much more powerful though, as it's
summoned directly from hell itself and generated by powerful
demonic energies. This does more demonic burning damage than
typical hellfire, with the demonic energy of hellfire being far
stronger than it normally would be. Of course, as one might
expect, users of this can still use it the same way as hellfire,
being able to do things like creating fireballs, using explosive
attack, and using the flames to melt objects. These flames are
used almost the exact same, except that the demonic energy also
burns people using demonic damage in addition to the flames.
This works great against holy fire, and can counter ice powers
pretty effectively. Of course, as one mighth expect, this is
counterable by anything that counters fire, such as water/ice
and wind abilities.
- 7th Circle Boiling Blood: This lets the user summon unholy
blood from the lake of boiling blood in the 7th circle where
violent souls are sent. The user can manipulate the blood in a
manner similar to normal blood manipulators, letting them either
splash it on people or form shapes or objects out of it. This
power usually works best for those with blood manipulation or
blood devouring, in which they are able to use this to devour
blood or use this to use blood-based techniques using this
blood. When used, this blood is highly corrosive, thanks to the
blood boiling and the demonic energy infused into the blood. The
demonic energy also does damage, burning the skin alongside the
heat generated from the boiling blood. For the most part, most
people with special abilities using blood find this the most
useful, since they rarely have to use their own blood in fights.
Depending on the techniques, this can be a very deadly effect,
as is shown by certain blood manipulators who use some very
dangerous techniques that can be amped with this blood. Of
course, this blood is best countered with water or ice powers
best, or using earth powers to contain the blood where it can't
be used.
- 8th Circle Dark Demon Torturers: This lets the user summon
some of the dark demons from the 8th circle where those who
commit the sin of fraud go. These demons not only have unholy
power and powerful demonic energy, but are also extremely
strong, being able to tear people in half. These demon's sole
purpose is the torture of souls by tearing them into pieces as
they do in the darkness of the 8th circle. These demons can be 3
feet tall, or they can be up to 20 feet tall depending on the
demon. Most of these demons only live for one thing, and that's
for tearing people or souls apart. These demons can not only see
in the dark, but are empowered by darkness attacks as well,
being able to grow stronger in areas of complete darkness. These
demons will tear apart anyone they can get their hands on, with
this being one of the hardest hell generated powers to control
since the demons will do what they want rather than listen to
someone. Only demon summoners or people who know how to control
summoned creatures can fully control these demons, and even
doing so can be difficult. The demons will tear about the
closest people they can get their hands on, with them having a
major hatred for humans due to them being made in God's image
(since most of them hate God for various reasons).
- 9th Circle Ice of Treachery: This lets the user summon ice
from the 9th circle of hell, the part of hell completely frozen
where treacherous people are encased in ice. Satan himself was
trapped in this section of Hell, frozen up to his knees for many
years before he broke free. This power is opposite of hellfire,
and is unholy in nature just like hellfire. This is much colder
than normal ice, causing intense frostbite and rotting damage
from the unholy energy much more quickly than normal unholy ice
powers. This ice can be used just like typical ice to do things
like create freezing attacks, generate ice constructs/weapons,
or being able to freeze things through touch. This ice also has
a powerful special ability, where it is able to feed on those
with treacherous natures, similar to how Satan's wrath flames
can feed on anger. When a treacherous person is encased in this
ice, this ice bonds to them and slowly freezes them completely
as it feed on their treacherous nature. This is very difficult
to break out of, though with proper techniques like hellfire or
something to melt the ice, they can break free from this. When
it comes to ice abilities in hell, this is highly preferred over
the cold rain being turned into ice since this can also engulf
treacherous people.
- The Hell's Cage Static Energy: In the lowest pits of hell,
there is a cage where Lucifer is meant to be imprisoned. Though
Lucifer isn't in the cage currently, it still remains in hell
for only the most high level threats, and gives off a high level
power of power and energy due to it being designed to counter
higher level beings and contain them. In this part of hell, the
amount of static created by the cage's power creates a powerful
unholy energy which the user can summon at any time in a manner
similar to hellfire and the 9th circle ice power. This takes the
form of static electricity and can run through things like
static electricity, even though the power itself is not
lightning. This static energy is extremely powerful, and can do
far more damage by running through opponents, with stronger
opponents taking more damage if they are hit by this lightning.
This static energy also has the special ability of being able to
damage even lightning users, thanks to the energy not being true
lightning/electricity. This particular skill can be run through
people like normal lightning, and has the same properties. This
is usually counterable by using an object to absorb it so it
doesn't touch someone. This particular lightning does more
damage to more powerful enemies, but not as much damage to less
powerful enemies.
- Hell's Cage Hook Chains: This comes from the same area as the
Cage (and all the chains are connected to the chains around the
cage in some way), in which the user can summon powerful unholy
chains with hooks on the end designed to spear opponents and
weaken them. Those who are affected by this are slowly drained
of power as long as they are in physical contact with the chains
with the chains and hooks being of the same material that the
cage is made of. These can only be summoned from a 10 feet
radius of the user, as people can't summon them around an
opponent to simply surround them. If they are ensnared by these
chains, then the user can also summon the Cage's Lightning (if
the user can do it) as well to do extra damage to opponents.
These hooks are designed to not only spear people with the
hooks, but is designed so that the hooks can trap and be used to
contain if the user can get someone trapped in enough of these.
When created, these must come from a source, like ground or
objects, and cannot simply appear in the air due to needing a
solid place to form a link to the part of hell this resides.
These chains cannot be seperated from the cage, and if the
portals to hell close, the draw the chains back to hell
forcefully, which means that this cannot be used to contain
people for too long, and cannot be used to drag people to hell
on it's own due to the portals only being big enough for the
chains and hooks and not for people to be dragged through.
Demonic Voodoo Arts:
- Darkness/Demonic Base Voodoo Magic: Combined with all of
Vobu's elemental abilities and dark magic is a base power of
darkness and demonic energy. As a result, all of his dark voodoo
and elemental abilities have a dark/demonic element to them by
nature. This gives his dark magic a high powered level of focus
on dark arts and demonic arts, which amps Vobu's abilities as a
dark voodoo being. In addition to using this for magic, Vobu is
also able to use darkness in his attacks, as well as being able
to use demonic energy to attack people. These energies work
exactly as one might expect, with darkness being useful for
fighting against light users, and demonic power being useful
against holy users. Darkness is very useful for things like
being able to shadow travel, create solid or liquid shadow
attacks, and being able to use corrosive darkness. Demonic
energy is also usuable to enhance Vobu's powers, power his
dark/demonic abilities, and he is able to use this in multiple
forms to attack opponents in different ways, usually by
combining it with another power. As an example, Vobu is often
able to switch between dark and demonic elementals in his magic,
or he can use similar dark arts attacks in different ways
depending on whether he uses dark or demonic power. For the most
part, Vobu's dark and demonic base voodoo magic enhancement is
usually countered best by holy power, and light power if one
needs to counter his darkness with something other than holy
energy. For the most part, all of his demonic and dark voodoo
arts have negative natures, so using positive natured powers
will usually allow one to counter this magic enhancement more
easily if one accounts for Vobu being a more powerful demon than
most other demons.
- Dark Voodoo Life Force Magic: Vobu is able to manipulate his
own life force, as well as draw from the massive well of souls
and power he has obtained from devouring souls and blood. He
eventually learned how to weaponize this life force power, which
resulted in him being able to draw on it to create attacks and
power special dark voodoo magic that allows him to use specific
dark voodoo magic to attack opponents after seeing opponents who
had similar techniques that used a pool of souls as a power
source. This is a special form of voodoo magic, which only those
with a massive amount of soul and life energy can use usually to
boost their abilities using life force, due to the energy being
manifested and used in attacking opponents. In addition to being
able to attack with this energy, he can do things like corrupt
others by having them absorb his life force, which can corrupt
someone's life force, or he can also use this to attack soul
eaters supply of souls, or a vampire's supply of blood power in
order to poison their power, or he can also use this to enhance
his darkness attacks with this to grant his darkness magic a
method to attack soul eaters. For the most part, those that use
souls or blood can be more easily countered with this magic by
using Vobu's stolen souls and blood, making Vobu a very
dangerous opponent to those that devour souls or blood, like
certain demons, vampires or werewolves, and also protects
himself from such enemies trying to devour him as a spirit.
Though those that use their own power legitimately and don't
rely on absorbing life force from others won't be too affected
by this with exception of the life force energy attacks which
can be countered by any other energy and most would probably
consider this not a big deal.
- Dark Magic Pentagrams: This is a power that forms a basis for
a lot of different types of dark magic. These take the form of
glyphs with demonic pentragrams that focus power into the
circle, which is then used by the user to focus forms of dark
magic. While some have techniques that don't need this, this is
more for general magic like alchemy changing elements (IE Lead
to gold). This power utilizes dark magic in it's base form. This
is a basic power that is pretty common for dark magic users to
be able to use, and this particular use of the dark magic
pentagrams is not too much different from typical magic glyphs.
Among using them for focusing magic attacks, they also have
other functions, such as being able to use them as platforms to
jump off of and stand on, or use them for amping attacks and
defense, or even using them to amp allies. These glyphs are
quite useful, depending on a dark magic user and their skill
level at using them. This simply depends on the dark magic user
and how they use their power. This power is a fairly basic magic
ability, and although strong, can be countered just like other
people who use this ability. This is more of a versatile base
ability, and one that focuses different magic techniques rather
than being a different type of magic unto itself. Vobu is a
master of dark voodoo magic, which runs on this power, which he
can use to do just about everything he does with dark magic and
grant him things like basis for forming magic attacks.
- Demonic Darkness Attack Magic: Vobu is one of the demonic
opponents that can use demonic darkness, with it being a major
component in his dark attack magic. This magic uses similar
darkness magic attacks to those the Hazeldines use (since Vobu
is the one who taught them dark magic) except that Vobu uses
much more powerful darkness, with Vobu having a number of
demonic darkness spells at his command. When he's not using his
life force dark attack magic, he is able to use his demonic
darkness magic to enhance his shadows attack magic. This is a
powerful darkness magic that is enhanced by demonic power, where
Vobu is able to combine demonic aura with the darkness of this
magic to allow his attacks to do both demonic energy and
darkness damage to opponents. Essentially, this works very
similarly to normal darkness magic spells, except that Vobu's
darkness spells are far more powerful and enhanced with demonic
aura mixed into the darkness. When hit with this, this does
demonic aura damage and darkness damage. If one wants to counter
this magic, the best thing is holy power, or holy magic. For the
most part, Vobu's demonic darkness often requires either highly
concentrated normal holy power, or a more advanced holy power to
counter due to how powerful demonic aura is, and how powerful
demonic darkness is. One can also counter this with strong
enough holy light, as long as it is strong enough to counter
demonic darkness.
- Voodoo Demon Blood Voodoo Magic: Vobu's other voodoo magic is
his blood manipulation magic, which allows him to absorb blood
and manipulate blood. He is able to use his own blood (only in
his human-like form can he use his own since it's the only one
with blood), or use blood that has been spilled, though using
his own blood makes this power stronger. This power lets him do
things like absorbing blood from people who are injured, or
allowing him to use it for special attack arts that he can use
to damage opponents. He has quite a number of techniques that he
can use, such as using blood to create iron weapons, firing
blood-based projectiles, creating weapons out of blood, and even
using blood like acid. He also has a unique ability where he
creates blood flames, which appear like crimson flames, but are
actually boiling blood which looks like a flame and takes the
form of a flame. The blood flames use an acid-like property to
burn people in combination with the heat, and makes it a very
dangerous type of power. For Vobu, he also has the ability to
summon blood from hell, in which one circle of hell is literally
filled with boiling blood, which can negate the need for him to
have to use his own. However, in his human form, he can weaken
himself if he uses too much of his own blood, which is why he
usually relies on using blood from hell rather than wasting his
own. His blood arts are countered like any blood manipulation,
usually best countered by water manipulation.
- Unique Dark Voodoo Doll Magic Art: Vobu has the classic voodoo
doll magic that many voodoo magic people are known for. In this,
they are able to create dolls connected to someone and use the
dolls to cause pain to the person connected. It is worth noting
that essence of the person being connected is required to do
this, as well as special hexes that must be used on the victim.
When properly connected, the dolls can be tortured in a number
of ways, causing pain to the person connected. While they don't
take the damage in the normal doll arts (only special voodoo
dolls can cause damage to opponents and require far more
preparation and power to make), they do feel the pain of
anything done to the doll, making it a good way of torturing
someone without killing them. There is another use for this,
which is something Vobu developed himself. Vobu is able to,
instead of using a doll to torture someone, is able to fuse it
into a weapon of his choosing, making the weapon able to
specifically kill the person who's essence is in the doll. When
used, this allows Vobu to tune weapons to kill specific people
if he has a doll connected to someone, which can essentially be
designed specifically to the person's weaknesses through a
special hex that creates special conditions for the weapon. This
only works on two dolls per weapon, and the weapons cannot be
tuned to more than two people, but doing this works great if
Vobu can manage to get a doll of someone and tune a weapon he
wields against someone during a fight. This is a dangerous art,
and one that only Vobu is fluent in currently as the technique
is his own design that not even his followers have been able to
replicate as of yet.
- Voodoo Demon Necromancy Arts: This art is based completely
around necromancy and creating constructs to fight opponents.
Usually, there are two main uses for this. The first is simple
dark arts necromancy, which brings back dead bodies, allowing
the user to create servants from undead to battle opponents.
Usually, the bodies reanimated have the same abilities they had
in life, and are able to fight opponents as undead, ignoring
things like pain and damage as they do the will of the user.
This necromancy art is just like many other necromancy arts,
being pretty useful on battlefields where there are dead bodies
to reanimate. And by using soul magic and manipualting souls,
Vobu is even able to empower necromanced bodies with souls of
those he's taken so that the souls he controls can be used to
grant the souls a body to fight Vobu's opponents with. This is a
fairly simple art, and makes those brought back as undead
extremely difficult to kill. The stronger the warrior in life,
the stronger the undead that Vobu can make upon reviving it. And
with his soul empowerment he can use, he is able to create
powerful undead through this method. However, the same
weaknesses to undead still apply, with most of them being
vulnerable to holy power and life spells/healing powers (it
sounds strange, but healing magic on a zombie works almost like
purification magic and destroys them). Typcially, holy power is
the best thing to have when dealing with undead, though some
users can prevent certain undead from being a problem by taking
off their head if they don't have holy abilities, as without a
head (assuming they don't have regeneration) can usually leave
the undead without the ability to move their body while
separated from it.
- Voodoo Demon Soul Doll Arts: This is another art using voodoo
dolls. However, this variation involves putting souls into dolls
that can then be animated to move and operate on their own.
There are a number of ways to do this, usually using specially
made dolls that have voodoo magic infused into them, and then
putting controlled souls in the dolls. When used, the dolls are
able to operate similarly to the person who's soul is in them.
For example, a doll with the soul of a dragon will be able to do
things like dragon breath and be able to use any power the
original soul could use. These dolls have a wide range of how
people can use them, most often being used by children trained
in the voodoo arts to create little dolls as servants and people
who can fight their enemies. However, they can be used by any
voodoo user who can use advanced voodoo arts, as this is a
fairly simple advanced art to master if one has both soul
absorption/distribution and voodoo doll art abilities. These
dolls are very useful, as they can be made in a variety of ways,
such as giving them specific weapons, or designing them specific
ways to attune to their specific natures, like making a werewolf
doll to house a werewolf soul. These dolls typically have the
same weaknesses as the soul they are empowered with, such as a
demon doll would have the weaknesses of a demon. Typically, the
dolls are usually used like disposable soldiers, so they can
usually be remade or resummoned depending on the doll. For Vobu,
he can use this art to create and use dolls to attack his
opponents, to which he has a number of dolls he's made using
dimensional alternates and other beings. His two favorite dolls
are his Hei Darkfire doll and his Alucard doll, which are his
only permanent dolls he can desummon and resummon after they've
been destroyed because he keeps a special connection with them.
The souls are made from other versions of the two, and have
their basic powers.
- Voodoo Demon Astral Trap/Separation Arts: This art is a voodoo
art that is designed to separate or trap astral beings.
Originally, Vobu learned this so he could counter it if it were
used on him, which he managed to figure out how to counter to a
degree. This art is designed to use special voodoo items to
separate someone from their astral body, such as temporarily
separating a soul from the body (though this doesn't kill the
person, but just incapacitate their soul while they are
separated from it). This art is designed to separate and trap
astral beings. The second half of this, which involves trapping
astral beings, usually involves trapping the astral being in a
specially made containment doll, which has to be specifically
focused to contain the being. Typically, this is a very useful
skill to use on stronger opponents, as if they are hit by it,
most opponents have little resistance to having an astral body
pushed out of them. Typically, this is most used for pushing
souls out of bodies, but this can also be used on angels, fallen
angels and demons to push them out of their vessels, which can
be very dangerous to them. This can also work on separating some
astral beings out of others, if they have spirits or other
spirits in them (such as the Darkfires sometimes having
elemental spirits). This does have to hit an opponent through
physical contact, with the item having to touch the skin of the
person that Vobu is trying to affect. And if the soul isn't
bound or trapped in something, then they will return to their
body or where they were cast out from within 10 minutes.
Typically, this is mostly useful for removing and trapping
spirits, rather than killing them, as once contained, the spirit
usually has trouble leaving the containment on their own, but
destroying the runes on the containment can free the person
trapped.
- Voodoo Demon Demon Armor Animation Art: This art allows Vobu
to animate demon armors, usually by empowering normal suits of
armors with demonic voodoo power to create demon armors out of
them. Typically, the main use for this is to put souls into the
armors, usually as a means to create new soldiers and familiars
out of them. These demon armors are usually created from demonic
power, in which every demon armor has it's own special abilities
depending on the type of demonic armor it is. Every demon armor
comes with it's own special weapon, almost always being demonic
in nature. Demon armors are very useful as artificial bodies for
souls, due to the fact that the armors are powerful enough to
house almost any soul for an indefinite amount of time. Demon
armors can also protect souls from corrupted effects, as the
demonic armor acts like a body that keeps the soul from the
corruptive energies of the world. For the most part, this allows
Vobu to create these demon armors and essentially use souls he's
collected to make new soldiers. Since the souls he takes are
under his control, he is able to make them do what he wants,
essentially using them as servants. However, as one might
expect, the counter to this is holy power, as holy power
countered almost any ability a demon armor can use since demon
armors specialize in demon powers. Things like holy knights and
angel armors (the angelic opposite to demon armors) are also
able to counter anything a demon armor can use. This art also
only works on those that are compatible with demonic natures, as
putting a holy user in a demon armor will immediately reject the
soul put in if the person cannot obtain a demon nature.
- Voodoo Demon Mutation Puppet Art: This voodoo art is similar
to physical amplification, but instead of being focused on an
individual, someone else is empowered. However, unlike certain
amplification arts, this art causes physical mutation in the
person it's used on (purposefully), and turns the person on
anyone the user wants to turn them on. Usually, this is used on
enemies to mutate them and then turn them on their allies, as
the mutation will often corrupt their minds, or even regress
them to a feral state. Depending on the mutation, this can be a
very dangeorus thing, as some have even been known to be
uncontrollable when this art is used on them. In order to use
this art though, one does have to not only make contact, but has
to use specific objects to create a curse on them that will then
be used to corrupt them. This is a lengthy process that one
usually cannot use in battle just by touching someone, as it
requires specific preparation that usually will require
capturing the subject to be mutated. The other problem is that
some people who fall under this art cannot be controlled even by
the art's user, and may go into a state where they will attack
anyone, even the user themselves. This affects everyone
differently, and while some are able to be controlled, some that
are not will even fight the user of this art. Because of this,
this art has mostly fallen out of favor among many voodoo users,
since there exist far better arts out there to control others,
and this is more or less used to corrupt enemies to turn against
allies for fun, since the allies are usually released after
mutation to return to their allies and destroy them. If one
wants to remove this corruption, it takes a holy purification
power over the course of at least 3 hours to do, which usually
means the purification has to be done after the corrupted person
has been captured and contained. However, if purified
successfully, the person returns to normal and is able to
continue their lives normally.
- Voodoo Demon Demon Plant Animation Art: This art is similar to
the mutation art, except that this art is used on plants to
demonically corrupt them and turn them into demon plants. For
example, a venus flytrap could be turned into a demonic plant
creature that will devour people. For the most part, the amount
of options available is limited to the imagination of the art's
user, and this can be used in a variety of ways. Part of this
depends on the demonic power used to enhance the plant, and
another part on what kind of plant is being used. For example, a
tree could be empowered with demonic energy into a large
fire-breathing tree monster that eats people if given the proper
demonic power, or one could turn a tree into a demonic wood
monster that attacks people with it's stabbing branches. This
power is very simple, but has many options available. Those that
use this art often carry around plant seeds to use, and can use
many variations of this power depending on the seeds used and
the power used. Typically, any power that is gained is demonic
in nature, since this is a demonic voodoo art. Because all of
these enhancements would be demonic though, it is possible to
destroy these plants with holy power, and usually with fire
abilities as long as hellfire isn't one of the powers given to
the plant. However, holy power does almost always work on these
plants. However, one can usually destroy these plants by cutting
them into small enough pieces, or cutting the heads off of the
plant monsters that do have heads. It is possible to destroy
these with just weapons if one knows the weakness of the plant,
such as cutting the stem of some flower monsters to cut off the
flow of power to the head of the flower.
- Voodoo Demon Curse Arts: This art is used to curse others, as
the name implies. This art can use a variety of curses on
others, usually specific to whatever the user wants to put. One
can use this by putting a curse mark on someone, usually with
physical touch and a special item, which varies depending on the
curse one puts on someone. For example, a voodoo user could
curse someone so that every time they use a specific
supernatural ability, something happens (For example, a curse
could be put on someone so that when they use a purification
art, they can only purify by absorbing whatever they're
purifying). The affects usually depend on what is put into the
curse and what user wants to do. For example, cursing a power
will often require something from the person being cursed, and
put through a spell, then putting the curse on a person through
physical touch. Once touched, the curse will activate as a curse
mark on the body, that will activate when the conditions of the
curse are reached. Because this takes preparation, this is not
something that can just be instantly used, as it requires
specific ingredients to create a curse, then it has to be
applied to the person being cursed. This also cannot place
instant death curses on others, as these curses are not powerful
enough to instantly kill someone. The curses can be dangerous to
the user, such as slowly corrupting them, or doing damage to
their power, but most curses are slow-acting and give most
cursed people plenty of time to find a counter to the curse. If
one wants to break one of these curses, it takes someone with
knowledge of curses that surpasses the original user, and they
can make a counter spell to curses to lift them, or one can go
to the original caster and have the curse lifted. It is also
worth noting that the curse cannot change after it is placed,
and stays the same after being placed. This also doesn't work on
people who are empowered by curses, as they will gain power from
curses.
- Dark Voodoo Demon Lord Reflection Manifestation: This is a
specific Voodoo demon lord art that uses mirrors and
reflections. Vobu is able to use this when he's physical
manifested, where he turns to his reflection and forces it out
of the mirror or reflection to manifest itself as a physical
being. This essentially creates a clone of Vobu in that form
he's reflected in, where it creates a copy that does Vobu's
bidding that he controls. Normally, he only does this a few
times, since it can take more power to maintain multiple
reflections, but usually, this will be good to create phantoms
of himself to fight opponents that are almost as strong as the
original, a technique he developed for fighting people he
doesn't really want to bother with, or for people who have
voodoo arts that let them control their shadow (like Danae's).
When manifested, the reflections are able to fight using most of
the same powers of Vobu, with exception of not having any blood
(since it's a supernatural power created illusion that can fight
people) and he can use this to interact with people without
being present. Vobu is connected to the clone, able to process
what it sees, but Vobu doesn't die when the reflection is
destroyed. While Vobu doesn't really use this against opponents
he considers his equal, he does use it to interact with people
at times if he is busy or doesn't have time to talk to someone,
since he controls the clone, or uses it to fight opponents he
doesn't want to fight himself. When destroyed, the clone
manifestation shatters like glass, having a crystal like
substance to it, and is a solid creature despite how it looks.
- Unique Dark Art: Connection Breaker: Thanks to his dark spirit
lordship, and his training to understand spirits, Vobu has a
connection to spiritual connections that surpasses that of most
beings. This art was originally developed by his brother
Zenrael, but Vobu learned it after years of training. When using
this, Vobu can break a connection between someone and something
close to them through physical touch. This can be a weapon
connected to a user, or even another entity that's connected to
them. Usually this involves breaking a connection to some sort
of spirit, like Vobu being able to break the connection of the
Hazeldine demons through a touch, something he's had to do
before when Hazeldines come to kill him. This art is very
dangerous to those that rely on the power of spiritual
connections, such as weapon spirits (like soul reaper
zanpakuto's, or intelligent weapons). When used, the connection
between the host and the spirit is severed, and the host can no
longer hear the spirit or weapon that was connected to them
which also cuts off their power gained through these spiritual
connections. This art can work against anything with a spiritual
connection, such as weapons or spiritual connections. This can
even break the bonds between an angel and demon and their
vessel, for which is what this art was originally designed for.
When used, this requires a touch, and Vobu knowing what
spiritual connection he wants to severe. Using his sixth sense,
he can usually tell when someone has an additional presence in
them or connected to them, so he will often use that to his
advantage. However, thankfully, the bonds are not broken
permanently, and are only broken for up to 4 hours. As long as
nothing happens, like the spirit taking over the body or the
death of the host, the connection can be re-established. The
other obvious way to avoid this skill is to avoid being touched,
as this art is used through physical touch.
- Unique Dark Art: Spirit Corruption: This is usually used to be
combined with his connection break skill, in which he corrupts
and manifests the spirit that he has severed in order to use it
to fight the person they were bonded to as a variation of the
connection breaker technique. This is usually used for things
like bringing out weapons/spirits bonded to someone and
manifesting them to fight their user. This works on many types
of spirits, with it working great on weapon spirits. Once
manifested, the spirits are temporarily corrupted, and then
turned on the user. When used against things like weapons, Vobu
can use his dark arts to influence spirits and this works until
the spiritual being is beaten by the original being and
reclaimed (which happens automatically if the user beats the
manifested spirit). Vobu can choose whether or not he wants to
do this, as it's not always beneficial (such as not manifesting
a Hazeldine demon so that the demon will take over the mind when
the connection is broken, which makes the user lose control), so
this depends on the situation. And unlike the broken connection
on its own, using this can actually strengthen bonds of spirit
and user if the user beats the spirit and reclaims it, to which
the spirit and user's connection is automatically restored and
can actually sometimes grant new abilities when their bonds are
restored. As such, there are situations where this is useful,
but at times, the best use of this is to use this on his
servants to have them fight their weapons and spirits so that
they strengthen their bonds with them. This is usuable on
enemies and broken connections, but really depends on the
situation on whether or not it will be useful to Vobu or not.
- Dark Arts Shape-shifting/Physical Amplification Arts: This art
is based around the dark art of physical change and physical
amplification. This art allows different physical arts to be
used using dark arts, which are more powerful than typical
physical amplification skills. This art has many different
applications, such as amping one's blood manipulation with
shadows to create black blood, shape-shifting the body into
different forms, or even just higher powered physical
amplification. This depends on the fallen angel's affinities,
and how they use this since there are many different options for
arts. Even when it comes to shape-shifting, some can do things
like give them animal characteristics, or might change their
bodies into weapons, or even shapeshift damage they take so that
it isn't as damaging. Usually, physical amplification through
dark arts is much stronger than normal physical amplification,
usually using dark arts to push the body beyond it's limits.
While more powerful than normal amplification arts, this can
also eventually do damage to the body if overused, though users
can get around this with a user's regeneration, but it does
still do damage the more that it is used. These arts are also
typically physical amplification or change, and can usually be
countered with other physical arts, or just outlasting the
amplification since this can't be overused by users. This is
something that Vobu has partially thanks to being a Grigori, and
mostly uses this to change into his rabbit-like battle form, but
also lets him change his body as he desires and amplify his
abilities in battle.
- Dark Arts Divination/Future Influence: This is another use of
voodoo magic, in which one can essentially use divination magic
to see the future, and see the fates of certain people. This
magic is a very advanced art that usually requires a long
meditation, and allows glimpses of the future. Usually, this
power is often used to see one's fate, and led them on a proper
path, but Vobu uses this for another purpose. Not only does he
see the future, but he can slightly push events in different
directions by essentially changing how he interacts with events.
As an example, if he is going to be defeated a certain way, he
can plan for that. This magic allows him glimpses into possible
futures, none of which are solidified, as well as fate always
being able to be changed. Though often, Vobu will manipulate
fate so that people have a harder road than they should due to
this ability. However, Vobu can only do this in meditative
states, and also cannot kill or change fate to instantly kill
someone. Those with changed fates can still defy their fates,
and even alter their fates if they figure out ways to alter
Vobu's alterations. Most people influenced by this can even turn
fate around at the last moment, right before Vobu's influence
and alter it completely. For the most part, this is really only
good for Vobu to see possible futures and make people's lives
harder than they should be. There is also voodoo protections
that can protect from this completely, most of which are
available through people who have fought Vobu's manipulations.
However, it is worth noting that this is not Vobu's specialty,
so he doesn't often rely on this. He mostly only uses this when
he needs to plan for a battle and tries to find out how it will
go.
Base Voodoo Dark Magic and Dark Elemental Voodoo Magic:
- Dark Alchemic Magic: This magic allows Vobu to manipulate
elements, changing them as he sees fit. This is a dark alchemic
art he can use using his dark voodoo magic. For the most part,
alchemy exists in three stages: knowing what something is made
of, deconstruction and reconstruction. For the most part, this
is a skill mostly used by master elemental users, something that
Vobu is able to use through dark elemental magic. He is able to
do things like changing elements, converting elementals, or even
just creating elemental attacks from elemental magic. For the
most part, this power lets him do things like freezing fire
attacks, dispelling water and lightning attacks using air, and
even using earth to create things like weapons or items to help
him in a fight. For the most part, this alchemy, although based
in dark magic, still follows the major rules of alchemy, in
which the main taboo of alchemy is that one can not usually
create something living out of something that is not living. For
example, Vobu could not create animals out of dirt since he is
not able to create something from nothing, though he can create
constructs and golems using his earth magic, which is his
strongest element. However, he can still use elements to attack
people, though his elements are still counterable by typical
elemental counters. This also requires Vobu to not only know
what he's manipulating, but what he's manipulating it into.
Usually, he mostly uses elemental based alchemy rather than
doing things like bio-alchemy (alchemy that works on living
creatures).
- Demonic/Dark Elemental Magic: Vobu is a master of elemental
magic, as well as other dark magic, being able to use dark
voodoo magic to attack people with elemental magic. For the most
part, Vobu is a master of dark elemental magic, something that
the Hazeldine would base on his techniques that he taught Takumi
Miura (before he became Dovelthain Hazeldine). Vobu is an
extremely skilled dark and demonic elemental user, and is able
to use advanced dark magics in combination with his elemental
magic to add dark/demonic damage to his elementals. Currently,
his strongest elements are earth and water, which are necessary
for life, and something he often uses in fights. He has unique
elementals, as well as other special elementals that may not be
considered "true elementals", like his static energy that
creates powerful lightning-like energy. Vobu is a very skilled
user, and as one might expect from the one who taught dark magic
to the Hazeldines (who are very skilled in dark magic), Vobu is
not one to be taken lightly when it comes to his magic
abilities. Though all of his elemental powers are counterable
like normal elementals, even his static energy "lightning" can
be countered by using something to absorb the static energy.
These are also more easily counterable with holy attack/defense
magic.
- Demonic/Dark Earth Manipulation/Summoning: This is one of his
major elements, where Vobu is able to manipulate the earth using
his dark/demonic magic. Not only can he manipulate the earth
around him, he can summon earth to him from other places in the
world, such as summoning certain materials to him that he
wouldn't normally have access to. This is easily his strongest
element, which he has learned to manipulate many types of earth
in order to defeat his opponent. Putting aside his other
elements, his earth manipulation allows him to manipulate many
kinds of materials, including metals, carbon, sand, dirt, stone,
and even use plant manipulation. Vobu has a list of things he
can use in battle, and has learned to also do things like
creating weapons out of his demonic elements, such as creating
demonic metal weapons he often summons to use against enemies.
Vobu is a very skilled earth user, and has the knowledge of
different kinds of earth and materials he can use due to his
immense experience and training himself to learn many different
types of materials, including things like holy oil or iron which
can do more damage to him.
- Demonic Metal and Demonic Crystal Summoning/Manipulation: This
part of his metal manipulation lets Vobu control demonic
crystals and demonic metals. This is usually among the first of
Vobu's main abilities, in that he usually uses metal and crystal
before using most other types of earth. The main thing he can do
with this is create armors, weapons and shields out of any metal
or crystal he wants. This includes him being able to use
diamond, which he can do. Among strong metals he can use are
things like titanium, steel, and adamantium. His most notable
metal is silicon carbide, one of the strongest materials on
earth, which is a very strong metal, only second to special
metals like vibranium or adamantium. Vobu can also use special
supernatural metals, like escamite, varanium, and stilled silver
(though he could also control/summon oceanstone, he doesn't yet
know about oceanstone since he's been sealed since it was made
by groups like Ragnorok and Special Forces). Vobu can also use
different kinds of crystals for the same effect, allowing him to
attack with these crystals in much the same way as he does with
metal. These are among the toughest earth manipulations in his
arsenal, aside from his two most powerful materials. Of course
all of his earth abilities also have a dark or demonic element,
with his earth being a demonic element.
- Dark Magic Weapons Creation: Using his earth manipulation,
Vobu is able to create and control demonic earth weapons out of
any material he can summon. This lets him use dark magic to
create demonic weapons out of his earth manipulation. For the
most part, he does this out of his metal and crystal
manipulation, which let him create weapons out of just about any
metal or crystal he desires. This also allows him to summon
metals he can use to create special metals, like varanium or
stilled silver to attack his opponents. He is able to create any
weapon he wants, usually sticking to knives, swords, or even
guns when he needs to. Because of this, Vobu carries no special
weapons, and just creates weapons out of demonic elements. As a
result, all of his weapon have demonic power, and do extra
demonic damage in addition to any type of special damage they
normally do. For example, he could create a special iron sword
to use against spirits, or he could create a varanium sword to
kill a regenerating supernatural. This depends on what materials
Vobu wants to use, or summon to create weapons out of. He can
also make armors and shields, though he makes shields and armors
less, since he mostly just uses this to make weapons for
himself, which is usually a knife of some form.
- Demonic Sand/Quicksand Creation/Summoning/Manipulation: This
power covers Vobu's ability to manipulate sand. For the most
part, Vobu can create sand easily by grinding the earth
underneath him, or summon it. He is able to use sand for a
variety of things, such as using it as a shield, to absorb
physical attacks, or to create solid constructs out of to attack
opponents. Vobu is able to do a lot with sand, including being
able to create and manipulate the ground until it becomes
quicksand, which can quickly pull someone in, depending on how
deep the quicksand goes. One of his greatest abilities with sand
is that he can trap people in waves of sand, and then crush
people in the sand using a special sand technique that
solidifies the sand into a rock hard sand that can crush people
in the wave. This is based on a sand technique often called
"Sand Coffin", which attempts to engulf than crush opponents.
The waves can also be customized, such as creating a coffin with
spikes in it, or creating tendrils of sand to grab and then
crush the opponent's body like a snake. This power can be very
dangerous, as anyone who's fought tough sand users can attest,
due to the sand's manipulatable nature. Luckily, sand
manipulation does have a weakness, and that is water, which
turns it into mud. While Vobu can still manipulate mud, it's far
less effective than sand.
- Demonic Wood/Plant Creation/Manipulation: Just as he can
control other elements, Vobu is able to also manipulate plants
and trees. He is able to summon and control plants using his
demonic earth power, and is able to summon plants, or grow them
from seeds he can summon. Usually, things like bamboo or vines
work pretty well for Vobu, being great for containing and
trapping opponents. He can also create wood to fight opponents,
with him being able to create trees and forests out of wood
around him. His wood manipulation is often strengthened though
when he uses petrified wood, which is a far more powerful wood
that Vobu can convert his wood into petrified wood by using his
earth manipulation. This lets him create a wood that can rival
some of his metallic manipulation, and lets him use his wood to
fight opponents when he doesn't have metal to use. This
manipulation is best countered by water or wind, or anything
that can rot or cut through the wood. However, one has to be
careful when he uses petrified wood, since it's much stronger
than normal wood and can block many metal weapons.
- Demonic Carbon and Graphene Summoning/Manipulation: Among
Vobu's other manipulations also involve carbon manipulation.
Many who know a lot about earth powers know that carbon is a
very tough material depending on how the atoms are arranged,
with some structures producing a carbon that's almost as hard as
metal. The hardest material in Vobu's arsenal of earth
manipulations though is a special carbon manipulation called
graphene. Graphene is a one atom thick sheet of carbon that is
the known strongest material on earth (that is generated on
earth). Graphene is far stronger than normal steel, theorized
that it would take an elephant balancing on a pencil to break a
sheet of it as thing as plastic wrap. This is perhaps the
strongest of Vobu's manipulations, where he can use this to
create very strong armors and weapons, though the thin carbon is
difficult to wield, so often, he just uses it as the cores of
his weapons and armors, underneath the main metals. This
particular power can also be used to compress carbon into
diamonds, though Vobu rarely does this since he has
manipulations just as strong without needing to create diamonds.
For the most part, Vobu's graphene manipulation is strong, but
fairly useless on it's own and very hard to make since graphene
is only one atom thick, though his carbon manipulation is still
something to watch out for, especially since he can do things
like turn pencils into sharpened demonic throwing weapons and
turn other carbon into strong weapons.
- Demonic Glass/Mirror Summoning/Manipulation: Vobu is also able
to create or summon glass, which he can use to fight opponents.
He is able to use his demonic power to generate strong glass,
including bullet-proof glass and tempered glass (often known as
safety glass). Vobu is able to use this glass to create spears
to attack opponents, and create sharpened weapons out of this
glass. He is also able to use the glass to create a special
mirror manipulation using light. By doing so, he can create
projections using reflected light in order to misdirect
opponents, and can use this glass manipulation to redirect and
concentrate light or laser type attacks using the glass, which
is one of the big weaknesses of light manipulation. As a result,
this gives Vobu a very powerful glass manipulation he can use to
fight his enemies. This is quite useful, and through demonic
earth manipulation, he can also manipulate a demonic element
into his glass manipulation, such as using the demonic energy to
create a sharpened heated glass that is more easily able to
pierce objects as a result. Unlike most earth users, Vobu knows
how to use strengthened forms of glass, among which include
glass that can stop bullets or heavily resist attacks. As a
result, this ends up being useful, especially if he can use his
mirror manipulation to trick opponents using illusions.
- Demonic Concrete/Stone Manipulation: Yet another ability he
can use is that he can use his demonic earth manipulation to
manipulate stone, dirt and concrete. This is more along the
lines of what most people think when they think of earth
manipulation, with most earth manipulators being able to do this
very basic technique. For Vobu, he is no different, and can use
this earth manipulation just like everyone else. He is able to
use stone, dirt, or even concrete depending on what he wants to
do. Usually, stone and concrete are the main simple earth
manipulations he sticks to, due to them being simple but
effective. As a result, Vobu uses them to attack opponents or
create defensive walls around himself with these earth
manipulations. Since current society has a lot of concentrate in
things like roads and buildings, this lets Vobu manipulate this
and use it for his own gain. By doing this, he can also
manipulate things like buildings, by bringing down a building
with his power if he's near a building, or even pull it off it's
foundation and hurl it at someone. For the most part, things
like small houses and smaller buildings aren't too hard to
manipulate, but Vobu can't always manipulate larger structures
like skyscrapers, so Vobu usually can't bring down heavier
buildings without concentration.
- Demonic Oil/Holy Oil Summoning/Manipulation: This is Vobu's
last of his earth types he typically uses in battle, in which he
is able to create and generate oil using earth. In doing so, he
can create special oil he can use that is flammable, or create
other oils that he can use to his advantage. Usually, the two
biggest uses for this are combustable oil, and special holy oil.
While he uses demonic elements, he can manipulate oil into holy
oil, which can be used against angels and demons, allowing Vobu
to use this to his advantage. Usually, he will create traps out
of burning holy oil, and even though he makes it out of demonic
elements, he is able to manipulate the oil into holy oil, even
though the power that controls the oil is demonic. Once on fire,
the burning holy oil can be used to cast out angels, or do
extreme holy damage to demons. This oil could also be used to
drown someone if Vobu creates enough of it to drown someone in
it and can engulf them, though it usually ends with Vobu setting
the oil on fire and burning someone alive in the mass of oil.
- Crimson Demon Flames/Dark Flames Manipulation: Using his
demonic elemental manipulation, Vobu's second element he can use
is his flames. He has two main flames he uses, which are his
crimson demon flames, and his dark flames. The dark flames are
actually very cold flames that are designed to freeze the soul,
which is different from the dark flames that those like the
Darkfire Clan uses. The dark flames are a very cold flame,
created from powerful dark magic and able to cause freezing
damage rather than burning damage. On the other end of his flame
manipulation, he also has his crimson demon flames, which are
unique crimson flames he generates using demonic power that are
much hotter than normal flames. His crimson flames are based on
crimson hellfire, and works much the same way as his hellfire
power does. As a result, his crimson demon flames are much
hotter than normal flames and are able to consume normal flames.
Using these flames, Vobu can do things like create fireballs,
create explosive attacks, and burn/melt things on physical
touch. Both of these flames are counterable by counters to fire,
with water/ice being the main counter. Wind can also more easily
counter these flames by removing the oxygen in the air. Both
flames (Despite his dark flames being cold flames) burn like
normal flames and aside from the dark magic, are counterable as
such.
- Demonic Magma/Ash Manipulation: By combining his earth and
fire abilities, Vobu is also able to use magma abilities and ash
manipulation to fight his opponents. This power is a combination
of his demonic flames and his demonic earth manipulation to
create a demonic magma manipulation, as well as manipulate the
ash of the magma. The magma is usable like one would expect,
being a liquidlike mix of molten rock and liquidlike flames that
are designed to do mixed elemental damage and demonic damage.
The ash is also usuable though, as Vobu can use it to poison
people if they inhale the ash, as the demonic ash can not only
prove to make them unable to breathe properly, but the demonic
energy of the demonic ash could slowly burn the air passage ways
in the lungs as well. This manipulation is best countered by
water/ice manipulation, with holy powers also working fairly
well with a strong enough defense.
- Demonic Static Energy Heat Lightning: This is not actually
lightning, but rather, demonic energy with a heavy heat that
Vobu uses by changing the nature of the energy until it's more
static like in nature. As a result, this demonic static energy
comes more like heat lightning, allowing him to use this to
attack others the same way he would with heat lightning. This
static energy uses energy as a conductor, with demonic energy
amplifying this static energy when run through it. If hit by
this energy, the static energy runs through the body like an
electric current, doing demonic energy damage throughout the
body. With this, Vobu can do things like electrocuting enemies,
creating thunder-like attacks, and use this to amplify his own
demonic power. While it is energy, the best energy to stop this
is holy energy, which counters it just like water would counter
lightning. It's also possible to use objects to absorb the
static energy so it doesn't hit them.
- Black Water/Boiling Water/Ice Manipulation: By using his dark
magic energy to taint water and moisture, Vobu is able to create
what he calls "Black Water", which is a dark and demonic infused
water manipulation he can use to fight opponents. Unlike other
elemental users, Vobu doesn't actually control the water, but
instead infuses demonic energy into it and controls the water by
controlling the demonic energy. With this, he can also change
the water's temperature, such as creating boiling water or
demonic ice. This can let Vobu do things like firing pressurized
water blasts, freezing/boiling opponents, or creating things
like ice spears. This also does demonic energy damage when it
hits opponents, working like a mix of dark and demonic elements
infused into the water. This is best counterable by holy power,
and one can also counter it by dispelling the water.
- Demonic Golem Creation: This is Vobu's ability to create
golems or artificial constructs out of specific elementals he
controls. These golems can be in the form of anything Vobu
wants, such as creating a dragon-like creature or a demon, or he
can create other forms. He can do this out of any element he
has, from his earth manipulations, to his fire manipulations, to
his magma manipulations (which he most often does with this
art), and he can also use his black water manipulation and
demonic static energy. The most common thing he does this for is
that he uses this to give a temporary body to a dark spirit he
summons, such as creating a demonic earth and fire body for a
dark ifrit spirit. This depends mostly on the element, with some
golems he creates gaining the abilities of whatever spirit
inhabits the golem. These golems are very strong, and only
destroyable if the hearts at the center of the body are
destroyed (which are always demonic gems of crystallized demon
energy). Once the "heart" is destroyed, the golem will fall
apart.
- Dark/Demonic Touch: Those who are skilled in this dark magic
spell can affect people with darkness elements through physical
contact. Fire users can burn things or people through touch,
using fire to melt objects or burn people the longer they are in
contact with them. Ice users can freeze people through physical
touch, with the longer they are in contact resulting in more of
the body being frozen. Lightning users can shock their opponent
through physical touch, or use their lightning to control
something. Wind users can slash opponents when they grab an
opponent, with their hands being able to create a slicing wave
on contact. Earth users are able to deconstruct the elements in
a person's body, slightly whithering away the body of the
opponent through decay. Earth users have to be careful though,
as it is a slow process and requires constant contact with an
opponent. Users don't have to have the elemental for using this,
as they can channel it through their bodies using the dark
magic. Other elemental users can counter this if they have
something to counter, such as ice users being able to counter
fire users, or earth and wind users being able to counter each
other.
- Dark/Demonic Element Bolt: The dark bolt spells essentially
are charged like bolts of elemental power, which are
concentrated then fired at opponents using an element. The
firebolt spell fires a condensed fire spear which is fired for
knockback more than anything, designed to impact hard even
through armor. More charges can be combined to make this hit
harder. The lightning bolt is designed to knockback an opponent
rather than pierce, and multiple charges can chain to hit
multiple opponents. This one uses multiple charges to hit more
people, making it better for fighting groups. The ice bolt spell
is meant more for speed than power, designed to quickly charge
and rapidly fire at opponents, but don't do as much damage as a
result. The earth bolt is useful for attack with solid matter,
being good for fired at an opponent as a piercing attack or as a
knockback attack. Earth users can modify the technique, making
it useful to do different things depending on the earth used.
Stone makes for better knockback, while things like metal can be
made more for piercing. Though some can turn earth into smaller
shapes and fire bullet like projectiles. The wind bolt are made
solely for piercing opponents, as they are intensely vibrating
wind bolt waves fired through opponents. This is the only bolt
spell that blocking is not a good idea for, and this technique
more dangerous also because it can't be seen normally since it
uses the air.
- Dark/Demonic Element Bolt Fusion: Advanced users of the Bolt
spell can combine different bolt spells together for a special
bolt of elemental energy by charging a different bolt spell in
each hand. For example, an earth and fire bolt could create a
lava bolt which melts objects it passes through, or another lava
bolt could be used to create a heated metal bullet attack
designed to pierce, or a fire and ice bolt could create a fast
firing knockback/piercing attack. Each user usually can combine
them in special ways depending on the ones they have an affinity
for. Since the bolt spells is one of the simplest of the dark
magic spells the users have for elementals, the bolt fusion is
meant to add depth and more ways to use the bolt spells so
Hazeldines don't always have to rely on higher level spells.
Advanced users of this bolt fusion can even use this to blast
through higher level elemental attacks, such as a fire/ice bolt
firing right through a lightning blast if the attack is strong
enough. Of course, this requires the user to understand how to
combine the bolts and elements together, essentially making this
dependent on their knowledge of the elements they use and how
they combine the bolts.
- Dark/Demonic Element Blast: These are blast dark magic spells
designed to blast opponents, doing damage to an area or group
depending on the element and spell used. The fireball spell
charges a fireball, when can then be thrown at an area, and
explode, damaging everyone nearby and doing knockback damage in
addition to fire damage. The thunder spell charges bolts of
lightning, designed to stun opponents and hit them with
lightning when the attack explodes, which can hit an opponent
multiple times depending on how many charges are put into the
attack. The ice spear creates a large ice spear, which explodes
when it hits an object, freezing everything around the explosion
of the ice spell, and is a quick charge spell but doesn't do as
much damage. The earth spike summons spikes of earth from the
ground to attack opponents from below, which can be modified
depending on the type of earth used, within things like metal
being able to spear opponents or stone being good for knockbad
damage. The wind blade spell fires a blast of wind slashes,
firing the waves with high vibration wind waves to slash
opponents and pierce through armor and shields.
- Dark/Demonic Element Spear: The spear spells are designed to
be advanced versions of the bolt spell, in which they create
lances of dark magic and are then fired at opponents. Each lance
has a different effect when thrown, and when they hit opponent
each has a unique effect. Each lance is condensed heavily, not
only being able to be thrown, but can be used as a weapon in
battle should the user need to use it that way. The flame spear
technique explodes when it pierces an opponent, often meant to
blow up an opponent and anything nearby. The lightning spear
electrocutes an opponent, exploding into lightning when it
explodes and can shock multiple opponents nearby. The cold spear
explodes and freezes an enemy with the explosion, freezing the
affected area for more ice damage. The earth spear move can be
changed depending on the earth used, such as stone being good
for knockback or metal being good for piercing, as well as size
also being able to change how fast the attack can be fired. The
wind spear is purely for piercing as one would expect, and when
used as a combat weapon, can pierce most weapons, armors and
shields, being intensely strong vibrating wind waves in spear
form.
- Dark/Demonic Element Strike: These are essentially the
strongest magic spells available without resorting to the Sage
spells, and are mostly meant for a combination of blasting and
spearing opponents, being above the spear spells in ability.
Elfire fires two high level fireballs that melt through anything
they're fired at, being ablet o not just do fire damage but
concussive damage as well. Bolting fires a single lightning bolt
at an opponent, which is designed to move randomly and attack
one of the 9 vitals on a mortal's body, piercing as it strikes
the opponent, and does slight electrocution damage. Fimbulvetr
creates a cold wind tornado, which freezes opponents if they are
caught in the eye of the tornado, bringing the temperature down
while also designed to trap opponents in the tornado. Vinetrap
summons spikey vines to come out of the ground, and grasp any
opponents with vines strong enough to even crush an orc's bones,
designed to catch and break opponents with thorny vines and can
cut opponents if the spell is strong enough. Hurricane wave
fires a powerful wind wave which passes through physical
objects, designed to damage anything the wave passes through.
The hurrican wave works great on stronger opponents, as unless
one can negate the wind wave, even those with concentrated mass
can be affected, even though the effect is reduced on strong
opponents.
- Dark/Demonic Element Sage Magic: This is by far the hardest
set of spells to use by dark/demonic elemental magic users.
These magic spells are considered the "Dark Sage" spells,
requiring mastery of dark magic to use. These often require
charging time, and for those that want to try and charge an item
with this spell, they have to use more than one item, sometimes
having to have up to three items for one sage spell. These
spells are also very costly in terms of using magic power.
Forblaze summons large pillars of fire to come up from teh
ground, which are hot enough to incinerate most opponents if
they are caught in it. The lightning strike spell summons a
storm which then channels a powerful lightning strike amplied by
dark magic to electrocute opponents, usually stunning most hit
by it. Ice dance creates a circle below the opponent similar to
Forblaze, but instead of firing a pillar of ice, it fires a
powerful freezing wave up and freezes everything in the circle
up to 10 feet in the air, doing heavy ice damage and causing
most opponents to freeze to death very quickly. Planetary
devastation is a technique that pulls up the ground, creating a
large meteor attack in the sky, which can be used to trap
opponents if they are caught in it, and crush them inside the
meteor. If they're not caught in the meteor, the meteor can be
thrown at the opponent if it fully forms. Excalibur is a wind
slash technique which fires an extremely fast projectile wind
slash, being the fastest sage move and the one designed for
piercing through an opponent in one power strike, having the
potential to split someone in half armor and all if they are hit
by it.
Darkness Attack Voodoo Magic:
- Dark Voodoo Life Force Magic: Vobu is able to manipulate his
own life force, as well as draw from the massive well of souls
and power he has obtained from devouring souls and blood. He
eventually learned how to weaponize this life force power, which
resulted in him being able to draw on it to create attacks and
power special dark voodoo magic that allows him to use specific
dark voodoo magic to attack opponents after seeing opponents who
had similar techniques that used a pool of souls as a power
source. This is a special form of voodoo magic, which only those
with a massive amount of soul and life energy can use usually to
boost their abilities using life force, due to the energy being
manifested and used in attacking opponents. In addition to being
able to attack with this energy, he can do things like corrupt
others by having them absorb his life force, which can corrupt
someone's life force, or he can also use this to attack soul
eaters supply of souls, or a vampire's supply of blood power in
order to poison their power, or he can also use this to enhance
his darkness attacks with this to grant his darkness magic a
method to attack soul eaters. For the most part, those that use
souls or blood can be more easily countered with this magic by
using Vobu's stolen souls and blood, making Vobu a very
dangerous opponent to those that devour souls or blood, like
certain demons, vampires or werewolves, and also protects
himself from such enemies trying to devour him as a spirit.
Though those that use their own power legitimately and don't
rely on absorbing life force from others won't be too affected
by this with exception of the life force energy attacks which
can be countered by any other energy and most would probably
consider this not a big deal.
- Demonic Darkness Attack Magic: Vobu is one of the demonic
opponents that can use demonic darkness, with it being a major
component in his dark attack magic. This magic uses similar
darkness magic attacks to those the Hazeldines use (since Vobu
is the one who taught them dark magic), with Vobu having a
number of demonic darkness spells at his command. When he's not
using his life force dark attack magic, he is able to use his
demonic darkness magic to enhance his shadows attack magic. This
is a powerful darkness magic that is enhanced by demonic power,
where Vobu is able to combine demonic aura with the darkness of
this magic to allow his attacks to do both demonic energy and
darkness damage to opponents. If one wants to counter this
magic, the best thing is holy power, or holy magic. The more
powerful the holy energy, the better. Godly energy also works
fairly well, as long as the holy or godly power is not spirit
energy.
- Demonic Night Spears: This is the perhaps one of the most
simple dark magic skill where Vobu can fire demonic darkness
magic spears from his hands. This is simple, but very effective
as it is designed to spear opponents with spears of demonic
darkness energy. Since this technique is designed to spear
opponents, it is designed for piercing defenses, and can spear
through many armors and shields, though it's not powerful enough
to break through tougher armors and shields, especially those
with powerful enough light defense. If hit, this attack does
both demonic and darkness magic damage. This technique is the
most reliable of all dark magic attacks, since it is a very
simple skill to use and doesn't cost too much power to use. This
is best countered by powerful light skills, or other energies
that can counter this.
- Demonic Shadow Clone Spell: This power allows the Vobu to
create multiple demonic darkness clones of himself to fight
opponents. This is similar to skills like the elemental clone
technique, or certain clone techniques where the user is able to
create powerful clones. Unlike most uses of this, the clones
take reduced power reduction in larger numbers due to the
demonic darkness being a stronger darkness to create the clones.
This not only makes the clones more powerful, but also makes
them harder to destroy. While their power is still reduced in
larger number, they may end being harder than one thinks to take
down since these clones are more powerful. Vobu can create large
numbers, but the more he makes, the less powerful they will be
due to how much energy is used to make each clone. As such,
usually a small group of clones is usually best. These clones
take more damage from light attacks, and are easier to destroy
with holy power as well. Other than it's increased power, this
is like any other clone technique.
- Demonic Shadow Wave: This technique fires a wave of demonic
darkness energy slashes at an opponent, designed to hit an
opponent or group with a barrage of demonic darkness magic
slashes. This is not only a fast technique but also a strong one
as it is designed to slay a group of armored foes easily. While
stronger opponents can survive the hits, these slashing waves
are powerful enough that they can pierce armors and shields
unless one uses powerful enough light defense or energy
barriers. This advanced skill can also be fired multiple times
or constantly for a short time, using demonic darkness energy to
pin opponents down while they are affected by the wave. Though
while effective, this spell requires demonic darkness energy to
use, and while it can be used to keep an opponent pinned down
with enough force, which can eventually drain the user if they
uses it too much. Though the best way to avoid damage is
dodging the attacks, as a fast opponent can get out of the way
of the attacks fairly easily. This can also be countered by
higher level holy or light attacks if they can block the attack.
- Demonic Dark Arm Blade: This technique forms a blade of pure
demonic darkness energy out of Vobu's hand or from a weapon he's
using, letting him attack his opponents with a powerful blade of
dark energy. When this blade slashes an opponent, the blade
leaves a small amount of darkness energy behind, causing the
wound to not be able to heal up properly, and the darkness
energy remains until the wound is purified. This technique
essentially negates regeneration, and if the opponent can be
slashed open by energy and is not immune to dark magic, they can
temporarily lose their ability to regenerate wounds made by this
technique. However, this only works on wounds made by this
technique alone and doesn't apply to other dark magic
techniques. This can be dodged, or blocked by an equivalent
energy skill. Holy magic works best for purification, but holy
water also works, as does burning holy oil.
- Demonic Dark Flux: This technique is a demonic darkness magic
skill which summons a wave of demonic darkness magic from the
ground below an opponent and does darkness damage as the magic
explodes in small explosions of demonic darkness. This technique
usually starts by Vobu firing demonic darkness magic into a
portal on the ground, which then comes up under an opponent when
the portal appears under them and the magic comes out. This
technique is powerful, and the explosions of demonic darkness
under the opponent are able to do heavy demonic darkness damage
as well as dark magic damage to opponents. This skill is a
higher level than the Hazeldine skill, since Vobu is able to do
this attack faster than the Hazeldines can, and uses more
powerful darkness. However, fast opponents can dodge this move,
and blocking it is easy enough with strong enough light or holy
skills. The attack coming from the ground is also obvious due to
the black circle that appears under the opponent.
- Luna: This technique is a powerful demonic darkness magic
spell which creates 8 darkness orbs around an opponent, and then
closes them in on the opponent. This technique is best used when
charged alongside a distraction, as this can take a few moments
to charge, though Vobu is able to charge this much faster than
the Hazeldines can when using this spell. When used, it can be
very strong as the orbs all explode on the opponent, trying to
hit them from all sides, but an opponent can dodge if they know
where all the orbs are, as all it takes is jumping in the right
direction and in the right way to avoid all the orbs as they
close in as staying close to the ground or even going
underground (as opponents like earth users could escape
underground), they can simply roll out of the way since the orbs
aren't too close to the ground for danger of them exploding on
the ground.
- Nosferatu: This technique is a life drain spell, where Vobu
drains the life force of an enemy to heal his human form or be
used to replenesh his spirit form's power. This demonic darkness
magic uses demonic darkness to take some of the opponent's life
force, and uses it to heal or restore Vobu's power based on how
much the opponent takes. The longer they are in physical contact
with the opponent, the more he takes, but he has to be careful,
as taking too much can overwhelm him. As such, it's unlikely
he'd be able to retain contact long enough to drain strong
opponents completely, as they would have a lot of power to
drain. Though weaker opponents wouldn't die, they would at least
feel the effects of their life force draining more due to having
less energy. However, this is a skill that can be used to heal
Vobu when he's injured granted he doesn't get injured being so
close to an opponent where the opponent can attack him easily.
- Corrupted Light Attack Magic: This is another dark magic
technique that Vobu has, where he could corrupt light using his
demonic darkness. This type of darkness manipulation is a very
advanced type of darkness manipulation where users take control
of light using their own darkness to corrupt the light energy.
When used, this lets advanced darkness users control light
attacks in this way, where they are able to use them to attack
light users, and this can damage light users if the light users
are hit by it because of the darkness corruption. This lets a
user use this similar to light with exception of things like
creating flashbangs or creating illusions, which can't be done
with corrupted light due to corrupted light not being able to
reflect or amplify normal light. Users must also remember that
light and darkness work differently, with shadows being more
liquid-like when manipulated, but light is more like glass or
beams depending on how it's used. This technique is counterable
by light or darkness powers of the original users, and other
energies can counter this as well. This technique can only be
used by someone who knows how light powers work.
- Demonic Darkness Crystals: This power uses Vobu's demonic
darkness magic to create black crystals, which is his demonic
darkness, turned into solid form by crystalizing the energy.
When done, this technique is designed so that it can reflect and
focus light attacks, usually in combination with corrupted
light. These crystals can also be used to physical attack or
create constructs out of, like Vobu being able to use his golem
creation magic to be able to create golems out of these
crystals. The crystals can also be formed into weapons, doing
demonic darkness magic damage to opponents if they hit an
opponent. Essentially, this just solidifies the demonic darkness
into a form of solid matter, usually designed to reflect and
focus light attacks which can counter these crystals. While this
can focus and reflect light, the best option for using this is
to absorb light and turn it into corrupted light and then
reflect it back to opponents. When fighting this power, any
solid matter object strong enough can counter these crystals,
with holy energy working the best.
- Eclipse: This fires a crescent moon shaped slashing wave of
demonic darkness magic at an opponent. This technique is
stronger than the demonic darkness spears, and can slice through
almost anything, making it a good attack to use on stronger
enemies. Stronger opponents won't be slashed all the way
through, but will take some damage from the attack if hit. This
attack is meant to be a higher level demonic darkness magic
spell, and is designed so that while it does use more power, it
also has more stopping power. IN addition to the slashing wave,
the impact of the wave can also do concussive damage as well.
Since this specializes in piercing defenses, dodging this one is
the best way to avoid it's effects. This can also be countered
by other waves of equal power as the technique can be dispersed
when faced with equal slashing power, though the other equal
power is usually dispersed as well. This technique is good for
single strong slashes, but can only be fired one slash at a time
since this is more of a power move, though it is still a fast
traveling slashing wave. This can also be countered by higher
level holy powers.
- Dark Demon Fenrir: This is a demonic darkness magic spell
which fires powerful dark magic spirits made of demonic darkness
at opponents. The demonic darkness uses change of form so that
the demonic darkness is essentially like dark flames, which can
burn people with demonic darkness if it touches them. The
demonic darkness also acts like fire in the fact that it can
explode on an opponent, usually in a wail-style scream. The
sound is designed to stun enemies, leaving them open to attack
as this attack hits. Opponents hit by this can expect the
demonic darkness to do demonic darkness damage In addition, if
one is too close to the wailing as the spirits explode, it is
usually enough to damage hearing and stun opponents. However, as
the nature of this move is dangerous to allies and enemies
alike, Vobu has to be careful using this around any allies, and
holy energy can still counter this power, as well as certain
solid matter that can tank the explosion and block the sound
given off by the spirits.
- Dark Demon Gespenst: This technique is a much more advanced
version of the Fenrir spell, where it uses high level demonic
darkness magic power to summon fireball-like projectiles of
demonic darkness magic flame-like energy enhanced spirits to
fire at opponents. This can summon up to 7 balls of demonic
darkness, which are then fired at an opponent as the balls try
to surround and hit the opponent from all sides. This technique
doesn't have the wailing spirits, just being a demonic darkness
explosion type magic. Thanks to this advanced spell, the spirits
that explode in the demonic darkness don't scream as the
technique is higher level than the normal Fenrir spell, though
that means that since this is higher level, the magic costs more
power to use and it does more damage if an opponent is hit by
it. Again, holy power is the best thing to use against this
spell or using solid objects that can handle the explosion.
- Demonic Darkness Ereshkigal: This is one of the more powerful
spells in the demonic darkness arsenal, where it fires a dark
orb which absorbs darkness and tries to draw in the user. While
this would normally require casting time for the Hazeldines,
Vobu is able to cast this much quicker, and fire it off with
more power with his demonic darkness magic enhancement. Once
caught in this attack, the darkness starts to crush opponents
inside, as the attack draws in more darkness to try and condense
more darkness in and crush whatever's inside using heavy
darkness to warp gravity around it as a way to increase the
pressure inside to crush opponents. Opponents who get caught in
this usually have to teleport out, or use a high level
light/holy power to protect themselves, or some higher level
physical opponents not affected by gravity distortion can avoid
the worst effects of this since some people are able to handle
the gravity if they are strong enough. Stronger opponents can
survive this attack if they can handle the crushing effects of
the attack. Some with advanced enough holy/light powers can
weaken this power, by removing the darkness that the technique
absorbs. Even though Vobu can cast this fast, this takes far
more power to use as a result, and can drain Vobu of energy far
more quickly than any other spell he is, though this is by far
his most damaging dark magic spell.
Darkness Buff/Debuff Magic:
- Dark Magic Time-Space Distortion: Using his dark Voodoo magic,
Vobu is able to distort the fabric of space and time, allowing
him to use his power to either teleport, or distort time and
space in order to do different things. There are a number of
effects this can have, such as distorting time being able to
interrupt those that can see the future, with his dark magic
time and space distortion being a great way to throw off people
with time manipulation since he can avoid most of the effects of
time manipulation when combined with his immunity to time
changes. With this, he is not affected by things like time stops
or time jumps. Using spacial distortion, he is able to use this
to curve attacks away from him, or even teleport himself through
time and space with this ability. For the most part, this is
very useful against time and space manipulation techniques,
since Vobu can effectively use his distortion ability to make
them pretty much useless on him. Of course, those who don't use
time/space abilities won't have too much to worry about from
this, with exception to Vobu being able to curve attacks away
from him or teleport off using distortion. Of course, this is
not a passive skill, and has to be actively used, and certain
stronger distortions can overpower his distortion ability.
- Dark Voodoo Illusive Reality Magic: This is Vobu's illusion
magic which he uses to trap people in illusions. In this, he
doesn't actually create normal illusions, but uses magic to
slightly warp reality around him. Anything with a mind of it's
own that can process the illusion are not affected, though Vobu
can change animals slightly with this. For the most part, this
doesn't hurt objects or animals, though the illusions are solid
matter, so the illusions, if they are meant to fight, can hurt
opponents. This is somewhat similar in nature to Tartaros
Kindron and Father Hei's ultimate genjutsu, but different in
that he can warp reality instead of just creating illusions. As
a result, those immune to illusions normally will still be
affected by this. For the most part, Vobu's ability to create
new matter using this is limited, and he will usually use earth
to create illusions to fight, such as turning an earth golem
into a large rabbit monster. Usually, Vobu uses this as a
distraction, usually in preparation for another attack. However,
if one is skilled, they can mostly ignore the illusion art,
since it really is more for appearances, and aside from
illusions he creates from earth to fight opponents, this really
doesn't do more than look flashy.
- Dark Magic Item Charge: Even when Vobu isn't using dark attack
magic, he still has ways of using dark magic in attacks, in that
he can charge items with dark magic spells. Vobu can charge
harder-to-use spells in an item, which can then be easily
released should Vobu want to release them. However, this means
that Vobu can only use this if he is to prepare ahead of time.
Vobu can use this in battle, usually to charge demonic weapons
he creates during a fight. This lets Vobu charge up items and
weapons, charging them with either his spells or with other
empowering abilities so he could empower weapons with his dark
arts to use against opponents. He can also create charged items
and weapons for his allies and followers so that they will have
access to stronger dark arts without Vobu needing to be present
to teach them. For the most part, Vobu can only charge his items
and weapons with dark or demonic power, or with certain blood
art abilities. He is not able to charge them with abilities he
doesn't have, which means that most of his charged items and
weapons are weaker to holy powers.
- Demonic Darkness Spirit Seal and Power Seal: This is an
example of a dark magic skill that seals spirits or people away.
This uses the power of darkness magic to place a sealing mark on
someone, sealing them wherever Vobu is wanting to seal them.
This hits an opponent with a wave, and if the wave hits them, it
forms a mark on them to which they are then drawn into where
Vobu want's to seal them, with this being a way to seal away
people or spirits. This is similar to techniques like the
Mafuba/Evil Containment Wave, except that it uses dark magic
instead of things like ki to seal people away. Vobu's second
seal spell is a power seal, in which Vobu can burn a seal onto
someone with dark magic and seal their abilities for up to 4
rounds. This seal is placed through physical contact, and once
placed, works like power negation while in affect. This seal is
designed to temporarily make powers unusuable, usually making
someone vulnerable to another attack. However, this only seals
active supernatural abilities and not passive or combat, or tech
abilities.
- Demonic Dark Magic Empowerment: This spell powers up Vobu or
any of his allies with demonic darknes magic, increasing their
physical abilities. This empowers far more than a holy
enhancement power, and can be used to empower allies with
demonic dark magic. This mostly boosts physical stats, and
boosts heavily on strength, speed and durability. This also
helps raise defense against holy powers when used. When used,
Vobu can use this on himself or on his allies depending on what
he wants to do. However, there is a cost to this, as those who
can't handle demonic dark magic will recieve far more strain on
their bodies as their bodies try to handle the enhanced power.
This technique provides a great boost in power, but some allies
can't be boosted unless they can handle the dark magic, which
usually isn't a problem for Hazeldines, making this not too
useful for anyone outside the family unless they can handle dark
magic enhancement. Vobu is able to take advantage of this,
unlike the Hazeldines, where he can empower holy and light
enemies, weakening them with demonic darkness magic as their
holy power tries to overcome this magic. This is usually done
similarly to soul seals, where Vobu has to touch someone, and
place the empowerment seal on them. This power is more useful to
Vobu for weakening holy and light users, since most of his
allies ue dark arts and can boost themselves when needed.
- Demonic Aura Boost: When used, this is another type of
empowerment that empowers Vobu's, or any demonic ally's, demonic
aura using demonic darkness magic. Using this, Vobu is able to
boost his own demonic power or that of his allies, boosting
their auras and the power that can be generated from their auras
temporarily. Not only does this help empower his allies aura for
better defense, but this can also empower any aura-based
abilities that come from demonic power. When used, this power
also smells heavily of sulfur, a by-product of demonic aura that
can be used against opponents with enhanced sense of smell. And
just like his empowerment spell, Vobu can also use this on holy
or angelic opponents to weaken them heavily due to the
conflicting power used. This power is very similar to the
empowerment spell, but is meant more to boost the aura of those
empowered rather than just empower their physical and some
supernatural stats. Of course, all one needs to do to counter
this empowerment is use stronger holy powers.
- Dark Heal: This technique heals an ally or can be used to heal
Vobu himself, using darkness magic to heal. Unlike what people
think, this doesn't cause any ill effects, like disfiguration,
when used by experienced dark magic users like Vobu. Vobu is
able to use this the same way a healer would use healing magic,
as it's just for healing people or Vobu himself. This magic also
works with his demonic regeneration, and can be used to boost
his healing if he's been damaged heavily. This can also be used
to counter certain holy effects on his body, where the demonic
healing will actually heal him back to full demonic power (or an
ally) when used properly. Usually stories about this spell paint
it as a power that disfigures someone due to it's raw power, but
this is only when used by inexperienced dark mages. However, as
Vobu uses it, he is skilled enough to use it without worrying
about something so trivial happening.
- Dark Stamina/Energy Restore: This spell lets Vobu use his
energy to restore his or an ally's energy using dark magic. This
spell is purely restorative, using amplification to restore
stamina and energy. Unlike the Hazeldines who can only use
equivalent power output, Vobu is able to put out low levels of
power that restore more than he loses, meaning that he can use
this on himself as well as his allies, even if he gets slightly
reduced returns from it. This helps restore stamina and energy,
being used to actively replenish dark and demonic power. As a
result, this is best used on allies, but Vobu can use this to
restore his own power through concentration. This power does
require concentration to restore power, as this isn't an instant
process, allowing Vobu to charge this and replenish his power
based on how long he charges this spell. The longer Vobu charges
this spell, the more power he restores. Another reason this
works better on allies is so that he can stay away from a fight
to restore ally's stamina and energy rather than trying to focus
on his own in the middle of a fight. This power can also be used
to remove power from angelic and holy opponents if used on them,
since this restores those with dark or demonic powers. When used
on an angelic or holy opponent, this can reduce their stamina
and energy instead of increase it do to the contradictory power
that the angelic or holy user's body has to use to push out the
dark power.
- Dark Debuff: This uses dark magic to place a dark magic spell
on an opponent to lower an opponent's combat stats and weaken
their supernatural abilities. This seal lasts only for 3 rounds
before dispelling if it's not renewed. This is meant to give
allies an easier time to battle an opponent if they're strong,
weakening opponents. However, to place the seal on the opponent,
the user must do this through physical touch. And opponents
affected by this can break the seal if they are able to use
other magic equivalents of buff magic to buff themselves back to
normal. This is mostly only useful to users in order to counter
buff magic opponents use, as it can essentially cancel it out.
Though for the most part, this is not as powerful as Vobu's
dark/demonic empowerment and really only useful against other
dark or demonic opponents he can't normally weaken with demonic
empowerment. Any opponent that wants to counter this simply can
just use buff magic, or should just avoid being hit with this
kind of magic. It's also possible that powering up slightly can
counter the effects as long as the power increase can be
maintained.
- Demonic Black Revival (Demonic Darkness Magic Necromancy):
This spell can bring the dead to life as undead zombies to use
in combat, being a form of necromancy magic Vobu uses using
demonic darkness magic. This is useful when there are bodies on
a battlefield, as this can take control and bring them back to
life under Vobu's control similar to other necomancy. Vobu is
able to control the bodies himself, or call forth dark spirits
to inhabit them, where the spirits take over the bodies as
vessels. When dead, the spirits have no trouble taking over with
no spirit to fight them off, making this Vobu's best way to
create new bodies for his servants. The bodies have the same
abilities they had in life, but are empowered by demonic
darkness magic, often granting new abilities of demonic power or
darkness power that will empower the body based on the body's
powers it has and based on the spirit that takes over the body.
Vobu has created powerful bodies using this, creating some of
his most powerful servants using dead vessels that are brought
back by this spell. Of course, as a result, the person brought
back is more vulnerable to holy powers and light powers
depending on their ratio of demonic and darkness abilities as a
result of the dark and demonic power that flows through them.
Some lower level undead brought back are also vulnerable to
healing and life magic, which can do severe damage to their
undead nature.
- Demonic Darkness Sinclair: This technique uses the anger and
hatred of either the user or an opponent to create a power of
demonic darkness that can be fired at opponents or be used for
things like empowerment, or creating constructs of more powerful
demonic darkness. This is a powerful technique, but requires
powerful anger or hatred to use. As such, this darkness attack
is useful for those who release anger during a fight, whether it
be opponent or the user's. When used, it can do things like
firing an exploding orb or a powerful collection of slashing
waves, empowering opponents with the power of anger or hatred,
or be used to create weapons of anger or hatred, depending on
what the user wants to do. This technique can form a variety of
attacks when it's used, as it's a very flexible power and can
take any form the user wants. Usually they fire it as a more
advanced shadow wave or more advanced night spear attack, being
a support attack made using buff magic to channel attack magic
shadows. However, this power, while stronger than it's holy
equivalent using peaceful or calm emotions, is very dangerous to
most users, as if they use it too long, their anger or hate
could cause this power to damage them if they are not careful.
This is a problem not even Vobu can overcome, as if he uses it
too long, he will be damaged by this power too. While angelic or
holy variants of this power using peaceful emotions aren't as
powerful, they don't do the damage this does if overused.
- Demonic Darkness Shadow Incarnation: This is a high level
technique which uses dark magic to steal someone's shadow, and
bring it to life to try and take out it's user to replace them
as the dominant force. Vobu needs only grab someone's shadow,
and then rip it off the ground and sever it from the opponent.
Once done, the shadow is manifested using demonic darkness magic
by Vobu. Normally, this art is used by the Hazeldines to use
something as powerful as the opponent to fight them, but Vobu's
art is much more dangerous due to the demonic darkness
empowerment he grants the shadow. As a result, the shadow is
actually not only as strong as the opponent, but the demonic
darkness empowers the shadow so it actually becomes stronger by
being a darkness element. Even holy users shadows can be
empowered with this, as a shadow will always use dark
equivalents of any light powers due to the dark nature of the
shadows. These shadows have no real personality to them, being
controlled by Vobu's magic, and unlike other arts that don't
control the other half, this lets Vobu control the other half.
If the shadow does kill the opponent, then the shadow will
remain, and most become servants of Vobu as a result, often
being granted new bodies so they can serve him. As a result,
this is a much higher art than other versions of this power,
since the shadow can actually outlive it's owner, which is
something that normally wouldn't happen with this kind of art.
And usually, most cannot control the other half, but Vobu
manages to control the darkness, often offering it freedom if it
kills the opponent. Light attacks and holy attacks are the best
way to counter this art, and if the opponent destroys the
shadow, the shadow will fade away and return to it's owner.
Voodoo Blood Magic:
- Blood Magic/Blood Arts: Due to him drinking blood of the other
angels and demons and delving into dark voodoo power, he learned
this art. This allows Vobu to manipulate blood as part of his
power, and made him able to use blood arts to fight opponents,
so he can use it for more than just general consumption. Among
his blood magic and blood arts are among those he originally
taught to the Hazeldines (when they were the Miura Family), and
shows just how skilled he is that he taught them such powerful
blood arts, but didn't even teach them all of his blood arts. He
is a master of not only using blood, but changing it's form,
having his own unique ways of using blood. His most unique power
is his blood flames, which change his blood form into a burning
flame-like state that can be used like fire attacks. He also has
blood mist, where he can evaporate blood to create a mist. He
has a lot of different uses for blood, such as using the iron in
blood to attack people, creating solid blood attacks, using
blood arts for certain special attacks, using blood's corrosive
properties and using his own created blood-based
abilities/powers. For the most part, his blood arts are
counterable like most blood arts, with water or hydrogen
peroxide (normally used to treat wounds) being the best things
to use to counter it. Of course, with his ability to summon
blood from hell, this means that getting him to use all his
blood is not likely, but if he were to use his own blood, he
could weaken himself if he used too much of his own blood. He
can also only use blood spilled, his own or blood he summons.
- Demonic Black Blood: This is another of Vobu's blood arts,
which is his ability to fuse demonic shadows to his blood,
making him able to mix his blood manipulation to create demonic
black blood charged with demonic darkness. Not only does this
grant Vobu higher level blood manipulation and allow this with
his blood arts in order to fuse the black blood into his blood
arts to amp their abilities, but this can also grant the blood
art attack powers extra demonic shadow damage. The shadows are
fused into the blood, protected by flashbangs and other light
attacks, though concentrated light might still pierce through
the black blood. This black blood is only usable by blood
manipulators and unholy darkness users, which works very well
with blood manipulation of demonic users, making the two powers
a great union of power for demons who can manipulate blood.
However, this is still weak to anything that blood manipulation
is weak to, such as using water to counter it, or using other
abilities to negate the blood. Concentrated light also works to
an extent, allowing users to blast through the black blood, but
it does have to be concentrated more than normal light, since
normal light is countered by the black blood as the demonic
shadows are protected by the blood.
- Concentrated Blood Manipulation: With the more blood Vobu
absorbs, not only does it fuel his power longer, but it also
condenses in his body, in which his blood becomes much more
concentrated. This often makes Vobu intensely strong, but also
amps his other abilities. Not only does this power let him store
more blood inside him than some creatures to make Vobu more like
a vampire in some regards, but this also lets him use more of
his blood manipulation techniques, which are among his most
powerful techniques. The blood that runs through Vobu (when
manifested) makes him much denser than a vampire, as his body is
very hard to pierce because of this. Of course, as Vobu uses his
blood manipulation powers and loses blood as fuel for his blood
art powers, Vobu will lose this concentration, and eventually if
he uses enough power, either through using battle power or
through overusing his regeneration, he may run out of extra
blood completely.
- Vampire-like Blood Absorption: Vobu is able to absorb blood
from his enemies, being almost like a vampire in how he
manipulates blood. This lets him absorb someone's blood,
sustaining his power using blood. This is one use for blood, and
during this, Vobu is able to take someone's essence thanks to
this ability. Vobu is able to drink blood like vampires though
Vobu can do more than just drink it, as he can absorb it through
blood manipulation as well. Unlike some who use this kind of
power, this doesn't take the soul, as the soul simply moves to
the afterlife, assuming that Vobu isn't taking soul energy as
well through physical touch. Drinking human blood is mostly for
sustenance and survival. Vobu isn't afraid to drink human blood,
with it being one of his two main methods for sustaining his
power. If he doesn't drink blood and doesn't take souls, he will
eventually lose his power and become weaker as a result.
- Vampire-like Ability Gain: This is the second use for a blood
absorption ability, with Vobu being able to absorb supernatural
blood to gain new powers from those he takes blood from, similar
to vampires who are able to do this. He can gain these powers
temporarily, or if he absorbs enough blood, he can gain the
powers permanently. In some cases, Vobu's physiology might
change to fit the power he gains, depending on the power, such
as demon blood would likely give him more demonic power (which
is how he got demonic abilities originally). However, as Vobu
gains a power's strengths, he also gains the powers weaknesses.
This usually weighs into Vobu's decision to absorb powers, as he
can choose whether or not he wants to absorb powers when he
absorbs blood, as he doesn't want to potentially give himself
more weaknesses than strengths. Usually he only goes for simple
powerups, preferably ones that are demonic or darkness types so
he doesn't add unneccessary weaknesses for powers he will
probably never use, and will sometimes go for powers that will
strengthen his dark arts or his blood arts.
- Charged Demonic Blood Amp: When Vobu gains new blood, or uses
his own blood, he can automatically charge his blood with
demonic energy if he chooses. This grants his blood arts a
demonic element when used, allowing him to use his arts with
demonic power should he so choose. This can amplify his
abilities immensely, increasing his power with his demonic
presence. This has a few uses, such as doing demonic energy
damage, as well as being demonic blood that has a strong demonic
presence. As a result of the demonic presence, the blood is rich
with sulfur, which leads to other abilities, as well as the
sulfur being useful against opponents with strong sense of
smell, since sulfur can be toxic, especially when burned. By
taking advantage of his blood manipulation, Vobu can control his
own bloodflow when in mortal form, amping his stamina and
physical abilities in fights, by speeding up his blood flow
enough that his body doesn't wear down quite so easily. This
lets him fight longer and harder than many other opponents,
letting his blood move faster so it can transfer nutrients to
his body faster than blood normally could. Of course, the
downside to this, is that his blood flows faster, which means he
loses more if he is cut or damaged enough to bleed, and if his
blood flows too fast, it can't absorb nutrients well enough to
be of any help. This means that his blood flow can be fast, but
cannot flow too fast or it won't help him.
- Blood Mist/Demonic Blood Mist: This creates a mist from Vobu's
evaporated blood. He is able to heat it up till it evaporates,
then use the blood mist created to attack or poison opponents.
He can create mist attacks, though it's not too different from
his usual blood attacks, so it's not really useful that way.
Usually, this works best used as a cloud of blood mist around
opponents, as Vobu can use this in order to poison most
opponents. Most opponents who breath in the mist are essentially
breathing in Vobu's blood, which if someone isn't a creature of
the night can make them very sick. The best use of this is when
he uses his demonically charged blood, because he is able to
heat it up and the burning demonic presence burning in his mist
becomes sulfur dioxide (SO2), which is a substance that is toxic
to most humans and supernaturals, and can cause severe lung
damage and death. As one might imagine, his demonically charged
blood is far more dangerous, and can poison even supernaturals.
And due to the demonic effects of the demonic presence, he can
also use this to amp his own demonic blood use and amp his
allies in battle, as they can gain power from inhaling the
demonic blood mist.However, he has to be careful around any
creature that drinks blood, like vampires or werewolves, because
if they are caught in this and inhale it, it can make them
stronger if they are immune to the demonic presence.
- Crimson Blood Flames/Demonic Crimson Blood Flames: By burning
his blood with demonic energy, Vobu is able to create crimson
blood flames that he can use to fight opponents. This similar to
his other flame abilities, except that these flames can be used
as simple blood flames or as demonic blood flames. If used as
normal blood flames, this does simple burning damage, rather
than fire damage, and does pretty simple damage. These blood
flames are not too complex, as they work similar to demonic
energy that has been rendered into a flame-like state, and does
the same kind of damage as typical flames when not demonically
charged. However, the real dangerous part of this power is when
Vobu uses his demonically charged blood to create these blood
flames. As a result of rendering his demonic blood into a molten
flame state, his demonic presence becomes a mix of blood flames
and sulfur, which not only can evaporate into sulfur dioxide,
but the molten sulfur in the flames becomes hydrogen sulfide
(H2S), which is a highly flamable gas that Vobu can use to make
his blood explosive. In addition to poisoning an opponent, the
gas is highly flamable, which Vobu can use in his attacks to
create an explosive type attack as a result. As one might
imagine, Vobu's demonically charged blood flames are far more
dangerous, due to the demonic presence effects. As a result,
these flames are usually best avoided, though they can be
blocked with a strong enough defense. Ice abilities also work to
cancel out this ability, despite the odd form this blood takes
as a flame.
- Charged Frozen Blood/Charged Acidic Blood: By manipulating
different aspects of his blood, Vobu is able to do more than
just create flames. The first thing that Vobu can do is use his
control of blood to freeze it into a solid form, allowing him to
create a demonically charged frozen blood that he can use to
create solid attacks. He is also able to freeze demonic blood
that he has managed to make contact with opponents, essentially
also allowing him to freeze opponents with his demonic blood.
This blood is useful in it's frozen form to attack with a
solidified blood. And just like his other special blood
manipulations, he can also use his demonic presence and mix it
into his the water portion of the blood to create sulfuric acid.
When combined with the acidic properties of blood, mixed with
sulfuric acid, this can create a powerful acidic blood that can
eat through almost anything, making it very dangerous to
opponents. The best way to counter this is with holy power to
discharge the demonic power, or use something to evaporate or
dispel the blood. The frozen blood is counterable by lightning
or fire. While frozen blood can't be countered by water, acidic
blood can be diluted by water.
- Blood Iron/Charged Blood Iron Sulfide Manipulation: One method
of using blood involves Vobu being able to use the iron in blood
to creating weapons or items he can use to attack opponents.
Vobu is able to create a powerful manipulation using this, in
which this iron is useful not just for attacking people, but
also for damaging spirits should Vobu find himself against
spirit-type opponents. Of course, as one might expect, he also
has a demonically charged variation of this as well. By charging
his blood with his demonic presence, the iron can be combined to
create iron sulfide, which has many different forms. The main
form he uses for this is demonic pyrite, which is a demonic form
of the metal known as "Fool's Gold". This lets him use this
demonic pyrite to damage opponents, specifically working best
against holy spirits due to the demonic power and the iron in
the attack. This power lets Vobu use this to create weapons as
well, charged with iron, or with his demonic presence to create
a demonic pyrite weapon. However, Vobu has to be careful,
because this power can also damage him if he's not careful.
Unless he uses gloves, he cannot hold these weapons due to their
iron nature being able to damage him as well. Part of the reason
he uses demonic pyrite, normally, is to try and lessen the
effects of iron if it is used against him. However, the iron is
still useful if one can turn this back on Vobu, with magnetic
abilities working particularly well in this regard, or using
metal manipulation.
- Blood Seals: These are similar to magic glyphs, in which Vobu
uses his blood to create seals he can use to amp his power or
use them for other things. These seals are created from his
blood and empowered with his demonic vampire energy, where he
creates these empowered seals. These have a few different uses,
the first being to amp any of Vobu's powers, as he can fire
attacks through this for a massive amplification, or use it to
amp his physical attacks by forming the glyphs around his hand.
Vobu can also form these on opponents, in which they act as an
amplifier if Vobu hits them where he puts the seal. Of course,
to properly use the seals this way, means he'd have to land two
strikes, one to plant the seal, and one to take advantage of the
seal. If the seal isn't used during the battle, the seal simply
dispels and just goes back to being normal blood. This power is
a variation of the magic glyphs that he uses in his dark arts,
and works much like his dark arts seals.
- Dark Blood Wave: This is a combat ability in which Vobu can
harnesses his dark spirit energy in order to fire a blast of
slashing waves of dark energy at an opponent. He must first cut
into his wrist or part of his body, then slash while harnessing
their dark spirit power. This is a technique that Vobu taught
the Hazeldine clan as a blood art. However, as Vobu taught this
art to the Hazeldines, one can imagine how much better he is at
using this since he was essentially the teacher. Unlike the
Hazeldines who use this with a weapon, Vobu doesn't have to use
a weapon (though the effects are better with a weapon) and he
can use this with any of his blood types for other special
effects, like using explosive blood to make the waves explode on
impact or using frozen blood to make the waves solid blood. This
ability can be avoided, or blocked assuming the opponent has the
power to counter the number of slashing waves. This can be
strengthed by now much blood Vobu puts into the attack. So a
weaker attack means the attack can be used more often while
stronger attacks can't be used as it takes more blood. This is
also best dodged rather than blood depending on how much power
is put into the attack.
- Blood Power Strike: This uses Vobu's blood to enhance his
striking capability in order to pierce through armor and
shields. With enough blood, he can pierce almost anything he
attacks if he hits with enough force or uses a weapon with
enough force, with him being able to cut through adamantium if
he puts enough power into it. This was the second art he taught
the Hazeldines, and as one might expect, is not the only way he
can use this ability. He is able to use this with physical
attacks or with a weapon, with him having more uses than most
Hazeldines when using this. He can combine this with his
explosive blood to create a powerful explosive attack, or he
could use his frozen blood to make a solid blood attack. This
technique only increases the power though, and not the speed or
defense. This doesn't reduce any stats either, and the strength
increase is proportional to the amount of blood used in the
technique.
- Blinding Slash: This power boosts Vobu's speed for one combat
round, in which he can release a slash so fast, that the light
from the weapon actually causes more damage if the attack
connects, or he can use this with his fist or a kick to do the
same thing. Most opponents only see a flash of light when this
attack happens, which is why the attack got it's name. And as
this was another technique Vobu taught the Hazeldines, one can
imagine that Vobu is far more efficient with this than most
Hazeldines. When used, Vobu can use this with his other blood
types, allowing him to use any of his blood types to amp this
attack so it hits with other effects, such as explosive blood
hitting with more impact power, or using blood mist to poison
the wound made. However, this can only be used once ever 5
rounds due to the stamina needed, and the power sacrificed for
this strike means this is a speed move, not a power move so it
can't cut an opponent's armor or do severe damage. This
technique is useful for attacking with speed over strength, but
is difficult to master, especially with the light being
dangerous to Vobu's dark abilities, making this technique
slightly dangerous for him if he doesn't have strong enough
darkness protection. This technique is usually best dodged due
to Vobu's ability to generate other effects, but can be blocked
by strong enough defenses since this isn't meant to be a power
technique, but more of a speed technique.
- Blood Art Aura Breaker: This is used when Vobu charges his
body or a weapon in his possession with his blood, charging with
and granting him the ability to concentrate his power and break
through energy attacks and defenses. This move is designed for
cutting through energy attacks or energy barriers to get close
to an opponent so he can close a gap or negate special
techniques. This technique can be extended with more blood used,
and can be used to negate almost any energy type attack, whether
elemental, or any of the body's energy attacks or armor created
by energy while this is in effect. Vobu can use this on his body
or on a weapon, making either able to do this, and is able to
charge this with demonic power to attempt to more easily break
through holy attacks. However, due to this being an aura breaker
type power, Vobu cannot charge this with a lot of energy, since
the nature of this cancels out energy, meaning his other blood
types become useless with this attack since they are just
negated. Though while this is useful for breaking defenses, this
technique can still be blocked by physical attacks all the same.
- Super Sonic Slash: This lets Vobu fire waves of high frequency
waves at an opponent. This is a single slash attack which can
disorient a person if they are too close to it. This is designed
more to scramble sound waves around the user (in this case,
Vobu), and is best used against those using sound attacks as
this negates sound attacks. And of course, Vobu can also amp
this technique with his other blood types as one might expect,
with him being able to not only use this with a weapon, but he
can also use this with a kick or a punch by focusing his
physical strength. The best way to avoid the affects is to
counter with another element wave to cancel the wave. Dodging
this attack actually makes the effect on the one attacked worse,
often knocking them down on the ground if they dodge in the
wrong way. Often the best way is to be at the start of the
technique, which is where the effect is minimal. Though some
opponents can still avoid it if they get far enough away from
the area of effect.
- Blood Art Soul Body: This ability creates a solid dark red
clone which attacks the opponent according to the wielder's
movements. This lets the attacker strike at the opponent with
the clone, but if the opponent slashes the clone, the attacker
takes no damage. Another attack Vobu taught the Hazeldines,
where Vobu is able to use this far more effectively. Vobu is
able to create multiple blood clones, and use his power to make
them appear like the real Vobu. This is usually used as a
distraction, usually to confuse opponents. He can also use his
other blood types for special attacks, such as using explosive
blood to turn his blood clones into bombs, or using frozen blood
to make them able to freeze people. This lasts two combat rounds
before the blood clones dispel, and the more clones that are
created, the weaker they are. The attacker (Vobu in this case)
can still take damage, but the opponent must get around the
blood clone. This technique can be manipulated even when damaged
or cut, as the blood clone can just reform while it's in effect.
However, those who can use water or ice can negate this
technique entirely, either freezing the clone or removing the
water from the blood to harden the clone so it can't move.
- Blood Mist Prison: This ability requires the attacker to take
a fatal injury, which spills Vobu's blood (the attack has to hit
him and do damage). When the opponent hits with the attack, the
attacker (Vobu in this case) does a replacement power where they
disappear and leave behind a blood clone of themselves from the
blood spilled in the attack. The blood then explodes from the
body and then solidifies in the area with the opponent. The
blood solidifies in spikes, which can cause damage at almost
point blank range where they strike the target. For Vobu, he can
use his other blood types in combination with this, since the
blood required can be used in almost any form, making this a
very dangerous attack, especially if he uses an explosive or
freezing clone. However, this is a one time use power because of
how much blood it takes and is only recommended to avoid a fatal
slash. Most consider this a last resort, even Vobu since this
attack uses a lot of blood and has to use his own blood in order
to avoid this.
- Dark Blood Familiar: This art lets the user (Vobu in this
case) create a blood familiar made of their blood. This can be
as small as a rat, or as big as a tiger. The amount of blood to
make this is proportional to it's size, so larger and more
powerful familiars require more blood. However, when this is
created, it will attack the opponent, and when close, it will
explode into blood spikes to injure the opponent before it
dispels, or can be manipulated using Vobu's special blood types
to have the familiar use special effects, like a freezing
familiar being able to freeze someone when it explodes. This
technique is similar to elemental familiars used by the
Darkfires, but this simply requires blood. Beating these are as
simple as water users removing the water from the blood to
harden them, or freezing them. Some can even dispel them with
the right powers that can dispel blood. The best way to counter
this is with hydrogen peroxide, which can pretty much dissolve
the blood from this attack if enough is used. Holy water is also
good in this regard especially if the blood is demonic.
- Blood Lock: This lets the attacker (In this case, Vobu) lock
their position and harden themselves until they can't be hurt
anymore. However, this requires completely standing still, and
while the skill is active, the attacker cannot move as all the
blood in the body hardens while this is in use. The user can use
this to lock in place and avoid being damaged by an attack.
However, the user can't stay in this for long, or they may leave
themselves open when they come out of it, and won't be able to
breath as none of their organs will work while it's in effect,
including their lungs. Usually this can't be used for more than
two combat rounds. Vobu can use this although, for the most
part, he can't use special blood types for this, other than to
amplify the defensive power of his lock.
- Blood Art Infectious Blood: This attack poisons their blade
(or in Vobu's case, can also poison his body to attack) with
their blood, and if they are able to land the slash on their
opponent, the blood on the blade or body enters the opponent's
system and poisons them from the inside. This is a dangerous
power that poisons the opponent for a short time until the blood
of the opponent manages to get the blood to counter it with
white blood cells. This can weaken or stop opponents for one to
two combat rounds depending on their resistance to the
technique. Opponents can avoid this simply by not getting hit by
the attack, or if they are hit, they can purify the blood out of
their system or bleed it out manually through cutting a vein so
it can be removed. For Vobu, this can be used with his other
blood types, though is best used with his black blood, whcih can
infect opponents with demonic darkness infused blood. This is
not to be confused with his blood poison power, which is another
power he has, so he renamed this technique after teaching it to
the Hazeldines as the art of Poisoned Blood.
- Blood Puppet: When Vobu uses enough of his blood to infect
someone, he can control them by using his own blood and
controlling it. This requires inserting his blood into
opponents, either through open cuts and wounds, or through their
pores. This is best used on dead bodies, as Vobu can release his
blood into dead bodies on a battle field and take control of
them to fight for him. Most of the time, the person doesn't have
any supernatural abilities, and are just like puppets he can
control with his blood. For living people, this is difficult as
living people are able to resist his control, and can even
filter out enough of the blood by simply cutting it out of them
if they know where the blood is. If they spill enough of their
own blood, they can remove most of Vobu's influence. That's why
this is best used on dead bodies, as there's no resistance, and
Vobu can manipulate the blood that is spilled from the puppets
and keep the puppets attacking even when they are cut to pieces,
as he can rebond them together with their blood. This can also
work with Vobu's demonic blood, where he can use his special
blood types to attack people with the puppets.
- Blood Crystals: One of Vobu's powers with his blood is that he
can create crystals from his blood, crystallizing his blood to
create solid crystals he can use for a few different purposes.
The crystals first and most obvious use is that he can use them
to fire attacks or make weapons out of them. The second is that
he can empower them, creating small crystals which he can place
in people. When he puts these in people, it can do a few things,
in which the most common use is that he can power people up with
certain abilities, either granting them certain blood
manipulation abilities, or he can grant them special powers he
has, like copied powers or some of his powers like his crimson
blood flames. Usually, he puts this near the heart, so enemies
cannot easily remove it if he's putting in a permanent crystal.
If he's giving someone a temporary crystal, they can put it into
their bodies from any point, including being able to just
swallow it. The powers gained have to be determined before the
crystal is made, and cannot be changed by Vobu once given to the
new host of the power. And once the crystal runs out of power,
the crystal will disintegrate, removing the power granted by the
crystal. This is best used with his special blood types, since
he can grant other abilities to his allies more easily, like
granting demonic power or darkness power using this crystal.
- Blood Tendrils: This power is one of Vobu's main attack types
where he creates tendrils of blood which can do multiple things
and be used to attack opponents. These tendrils can hit with the
force of whips or blades, depending on the form they take. The
normal tendril form can be used like whips, which with enough
force, can be used to slice opponents open. Vobu can also form
weapons out of the tendrils, such as turning the end of one into
a mace or axe, or other weapon. This can be used to grab
opponents, use weapons, or just attack opponents, as these
tendrils can be shaped to just about anything. Essentially,
they're sort of like a semi-solid goo in a semi-solid state,
where they can do physical damage, and can be shaped as needed.
When they grab someone, the tendrils can squeeze and constrict
on someone, essentially pulling them to pieces with enough
strength. Depending on how much blood Vobu uses, he can form as
many of these as he needs to. This also works with his special
blood types, like his demonic charged blood, black blood or
crimson blood flames for extra effects depending on what he uses
(Essentially this is akin to Carnages tendrils from the
Spiderman series with enhanced alterations).
- Blood Web: This technique weaves Vobu's blood tendrils
together to make an almost spider-like web, where he can create
a web to trap people in. This is an advanced use of his tendril
power, where he creates a web instead of individual tendrils.
This technique is designed solely for trapping opponents, who
can be trapped in this thanks to the fact the tendrils for this
technique are made to stick to things, including sticking to
people. Getting out of this requires immense force, or some sort
of cutting weapon, as this is a very strong web. Though some
opponents can break this, weaker opponents could get stuck for a
while. Vobu can use this at close or long range, but this is
best used at long range where the web can be bigger, more spread
out and harder to dodge. And depending on how Vobu uses his
power, the blood web can be charged with special demonic or
darkness abilities as well to do more damage when someone is
caught in this. The best counter for this is water, or a
chemical solution to dissolve blood.
- Blood Poison: Vobu can use his blood, either mist,
crystallized or normal, to insert his blood into someone's body
and poison them, including vampires and other creatures who feed
on blood. He does this by manipulating his blood so that he
manipulates his blood once outside of his body to be a poison by
altering it's chemical makeup slightly. This is designed to be
either introduced through wounds or cuts, or forced to have
someone swallow it, though the obvious best method is through
open cuts. This poison is slow acting, but very effective, as
those who drink blood have their blood supply and power slowly
poisoned or he can make it a more acidic poison. Usually, Vobu
mostly uses this to poison people who try to drink his blood,
using it to poison werewolves and vampires who might bite him.
He can also increase the effects of this with his demonic
presence, making his demonic blood a mix of blood and sulfur.
This was gained before he gained his ability to charge his blood
mist with demonic power, so this technique really isn't as
useful as some of his ways he uses demonically charged blood,
but it is still useful for poisoning his blood to supernaturals
(assuming that he uses this while they drink his blood since
it's a conscious ability and not a passive one).
- Explosive Blood: This is a technique similar to blood poison
where Vobu changes the makeup of his blood slightly, which makes
it able to be ignited with flames and lit on fire. When using
this, this makes it so that he when throws blood at people or
uses certain types of attacks, he can ignite it with his flames,
most often using this alongside his demonic flames. This
technique essentially makes his blood dangerously explosive, as
he can ignite it at will, essentially make it combustable.
Depending on how he makes it, he can actually make splatters of
blood explode when he ignites them. This technique can be done
with any of his flames, as it just requires a spark or flame to
ignite the blood. He can also do this in order to leave traps
where he can blow them up by waiting for an opponent to get near
them. This is another power he developed before he got demonic
power, where he doesn't really need it anymore since he can more
easily create explosive blood using his demonic presence and
making his blood highly combustable without needing to use as
much power to do so. However, he can combine the two powers to
create a more explosive blood.
- Blood Owl Bomb: This technique turns Vobu's blood into balls
that act as concussive force bombs, which are created then
thrown at opponents. This uses his explosive blood to create an
explosive like attack that explodes on an opponent. When thrown,
the balls explode, releasing a high velocity concussive force
which can damage opponents close to where the bombs burst. This
technique doesn't actually use flames or bomb techniques, but
instead just simple concussive force to damage opponents around
where the balls explode (Unless this is used with Vobu's blood
flames in which he can make it physically explode). The
explosion is controlled by Vobu directly, and he can determine
when it goes off, or they just go off when they hit something or
someone, making it a fairly versatile technique. This can also
be amped using his special blood types, like his demonically
charged blood to create an explosive gas to increase the impact
damage of this and use the blood flames to make the technique
actually explode. Even if the opponent is immune to the flame or
demonic part of this, the impact damage can still do immense
impact damage if this technique hits an opponent. This one is
one Vobu has to be careful with, as he can damage his allies
with this too if they are too close, or he can even damage
himself if he's too close.
- Blood Cannon: This lets Vobu fire blood projectiles as he
usually focuses them to his hands (though he doesn't have to
focus this through his hand), firing them like blasts. Depending
on the size and shape, he can modify the projectiles speed and
strength by manipulating size and shape. When fired from his
hand, the blasts are fired at opponents, and do heavy impact
damage if they hit. The normal size is roughly about the size of
Vobu's hand, in which he fires it like a cannon ball with enough
force to shatter ones bones on impact. However, he can also
create smaller, more bullet like projectiles which can be fired
with immense speed and piercing power, in which he can fire them
in a smaller form, but have them strong enough to pierce most
substances. The smaller bullets can even break metal weapons and
pierce most opponents. Depending on the projectile fired,
stronger and slower shots can be blocked by walls and barriers,
but the smaller ones are best dodged rather than blocked. Though
the smaller ones do pierce opponents, they also do less damage
as they are smaller in nature compared to the larger shots, but
the larger shots also do more impact damage rather than piercing
damage. And depending on how he fires it, he can fire these
shots in very rapid succession, even firing smaller bullets like
a machine gun if he builds enough blood before hand. As one
might imagine, this is best used up close where the opponent has
less time to react to it. This can also be amped using his
special blood types for other effects and damage, like using
explosive blood to have the blasts explode when they hit.
- Blades of Blood: This technique creates crescent shaped blades
from Vobu's blood, where he can fire them at opponents, usually
through focusing the blood to his hand and firing them like a
claw slash. He does a claw slash style attack, then the blades
are fired in a wave. The blades are solid, being able to slice
through opponents like solidified slashing waves. This technique
is basically like firing a slashing wave version of the blood
cannon attack, and not too much different except this technique
is made for not only being able to slash an opponent multiple
times, but depending on the number of blades, can be used to
fire at a group. This is useful especially when used with his
other blood types, like using his demonically charged blood to
do demonic damage as well as slashing damage, or using explosive
blood to explode on impact. This can also be used with his black
blood to do demonic darkness damage as well. As a result, this
power can be used a varety of ways, and is quite dangerous in
that Vobu can change up the attack to keep opponents guessing.
This attack can be blocked by strong enough defenses, or it can
be dodged.
- Blood Crow's Blade: This technique creates blood scythe blades
that come out of the back of Vobu's wrist. This essentially lets
the blood solidify into crimson scythe blades which allow Vobu
attack weapons to use in close combat where he can slash people
using the blades coming out of the back of his wrist. He can
also control the size of these blades, extending them to try and
spear someone, or just keeping them at a certain length. Smaller
blades mean faster attacks, though larger blades mean it's
harder to dodge and slice harder, but don't move as fast. He
usually keeps these about medium length, balancing strength and
speed. He most often forms two blades, one on the back of each
wrist. This essentially gives him attack weapons in addition to
his other bladed weapons, as he can supplement his attacks into
two stage attacks as well when using this, as if the first
misses, the second might hit if Vobu can time it right. That is,
assuming the opponent doesn't move out of range of the attack.
He can also amp this power with his special blood types, such as
creating a burning scythe blade, or create a frozen scythe
blade, or even an explosive one.
- Invisible Black: This is a purely speed based variation of the
crow's blade, where Vobu puts his hand on the back of his wrist
while it's bleeding and essentially pulls out a blade with
supersonic speed. Not only does this pull out a blade extremely
fast, but the extremely fast speed also has much more piercing
power than the normal crow blades, and can slice through almost
anything. However, this is a one shot technique, designed to be
similar to a sword draw, and can only be used on one arm as Vobu
has to pull the blood blade out once he sticks the blood to his
hand, essentially pulling out a scythe blade out of his wrist.
This technique was designed against people who could negate his
blood power, as they could negate it at the speed of sound, but
this technique was designed to counter it by breaking it faster
than the speed of sound. However, this is a one shot technique,
and requires the opponent to be within reach of it as they are
attacking, and is best used when the opponent is using a weapon
that negates abilities. And despite how fast it is, this doesn't
mean that Vobu can react at the speed of sound, only that this
is a very fast technique and can be used very quickly on someone
who's attacking him if he positions his wrist and hand right
before the attack gets close. As one might imagine, he can also
charge this with his special blood types as well, making it even
more dangerous.
- Burning Blood Claw: This technique lights his blood on fire,
where he creates a claw out of solidified blood that he can use
to slash opponents, using his demonic flames at the same time as
the blood burns. This requires blood to be burned, so requires a
constant flow of blood, but the amped physical stats allow
better piercing, and more dangerous close combat while this
technique is going as the demonic flames can burn people if they
get too close to the claws and don't move far enough from the
attack. However, he can also fire this attack at people, firing
the claw to try and spear opponents with it and make the blood
explode on impact. If using this as a physical technique, this
essentially continuously burns blood, so keeping it active only
burns Vobu's blood supply, meaning this is often best used for
singular attacks or firing it at opponents. This can also be
used with his other blood types like his black blood to create a
demonic darkness charged version of this attack, or using his
explosive blood to make the blood explode when it hits.
- Blood Tornado: This creates a tornado of blood, using spinning
blood to create a whirlwind. This can be big or small, though
usually bigger attacks require more blood. This can be used to
create a tornado effect, where Vobu can fire these tornados at
people for heavy impact damage, or he can use these to snuff out
flame attacks or used to blast away other attacks vulnerable to
the tornado. This can also be combined with his explosive blood,
where he can make the tornado's explosive, either igniting the
tornados, or turning the tornados into bombs. Though this is
most effective by firing small tornados formed around his hand
which he fires by doing a punch which launches the tornado at
opponents. He can fire these at long range or up close, as the
technique just requires a punch to fire the smaller attacks. He
can also do this with kicks where he can form a tornado around
his leg and then kick and fire it at opponents. This is best
dodged, and since this technique is made of spinning blood to
create the whirlwind, manipulating the air doesn't stop this
attack, though if someone froze the blood then that would stop
the spinning and dispel the technique. This can also be used
with his other blood types to create other effects, such as
black blood doing demonic shadow damage, or his blood mist being
able to hit opponents with more impact damage since the blood
becomes an air-like shockwave attack.
- Blood Bolt: This technique concentrates blood around
lightning, where Vobu uses this in conjunction with hell
generated lightning to essentially create a blood charged
thunderbolt, which can be fired at opponents. This essentially
hits the opponent with a bolt of lightning, but does heavy
impact damage from the blood which is supercharged by the
lightning. Vobu can use this with his demonic power, making it
hit with more demonic force depending on the blood used. The
most effective use of this is combining the hell generated
lightning with his seventh circle blood manipulation in order to
create a powerful demonic powered blood bolt which does heavy
demonic damage to opponents in conjunction with the impact and
lightning damage. This technique is meant to essentially hit an
opponent with the immense physical force of a lightning bolt,
meant for physical force more than lightning damage, as the
lightning mostly just acts to supercharge the blood and amp it's
speed and strength once fired.
- Blood Matter Transport: This technique is a copy of another
technique he took from an opponent through drinking their blood
where Vobu can throw his blood at something or someone, then
snap his fingers and teleport the blood somewhere else. When
used on someone, this not only teleports the blood, but
teleports whatever the blood is connected to, such as being able
to teleport parts of someone's body, essentially removing it.
Because this is a matter teleport power, it can negate the
material and teleport pieces of one's armor or body unless the
person can stop the teleportation or negate the effects. This
technique simply requires the blood to be on someone, then Vobu
snaps his fingers and the blood teleports. Because this only
teleports what the blood is touching, it can teleport pieces of
someone's armor or body, but cannot teleport too much of their
body, unless this somehow gets in the body through one of Vobu's
techniques of putting his blood in his opponent's body. However,
Vobu can only do this with his own blood, and cannot do this
with 7th circle blood.
- Blood Traps: This lets Vobu leave his blood behind and turn it
into a trap where his blood can turn into spears and spear those
nearby, where they can be damaged if they are close to where the
blood is. This trap can be remotely activated by Vobu, or he can
make his blood react to movement around him, which he can make
it react like a landmine. When activated, this is basically to
damage opponents nearby, often designed to spear the feet when
they walk nearby, or spear them from the walls if the blood is
on the walls. Vobu has to use this technique before throwing
blood, as he has to determine if he wants to detoniate this
remotely or set this power to movement. However, this is another
power that if Vobu isn't careful, he can injure his allies with.
Luckily, this doesn't hurt him as the blood is just reabsorbed
into his body if it were. This can also be used with his other
blood types, such as using blood flames/demonic charged
explosive blood to create an explosive landmine attack or using
frozen blood to create an attack that bursts and freezes
opponents who are too close. Opponents can negate this by simply
not getting close, or they can freeze the blood or something
similar and prevent it from being used entirely for an attack.
- Blood Armor: This is a variation of Vobu's crystal blood
power, where he crystallizes his blood around his body to create
armor, in a variation of the elemental defense skill. He can
form this armor around his whole body, or around parts of his
body. In addition to making simple armor though, he can also
make crystallized weapons out of himself or modify the shape of
the crystallized blood, if he needs to take a different shape,
such as making his hand into a mace or axe, or making himself
more like a golem. However, this does require energy to hold in
place for long periods of time, and the more defense used, the
more energy and blood is needed for it to work. This technique
is often best used to defend against attacks, or amp Vobu's
physical attacks, such as armoring his hand so he can punch
something strong if his strength isn't enough on it's own, or
defending against a single attack. Using this armor for long
periods of time can drain his energy quickly, so it's best used
in small bursts, and not held up too long. Though this does let
him create armor as he needs it, and modify it as he needs to if
he does. Opponents who want to break this will find it's like
trying to cut through metal, so it most often either requires
immense force or more concentrated attacks to pierce.
- Blood Shield: This lets Vobu create shields of blood which can
protect him from attacks. This creates crystallized shields of
Vobu's blood, which can harden and protect him from many forms
of attack. He can form these in almost any shape he desires,
such as a simple wall, or a dome around him. This is another
technique that can be modified with the situation, though the
same rules apply that larger shields or more powerful shields
require more blood and more power to make or maintain, making
this another technique that should only be used in small
increments to avoid attacks rather than just keeping the shield
up constantly. And since this creates a physical shield not
having to be connected to Vobu, this can also block Vobu's view
if he keeps it up too long. This technique is very useful though
if Vobu concentrates it and uses enough power to defend against
attacks, but can be broken with enough force, and can still
block Vobu's view of an opponent when in use since the shield
technique is solid and not transparent or translucent like some
other shield techniques.
Combat Abilities:
- Multiple Weapons Styles: Vobu has watched and learned a lot of
weapons styles over his years watching humans fight. As a
result, he's learned a lot of fighting styles from those that
he's fought and as a result, has multiple styles. His main
weapon style tends to be around either Kenjutsu, a basic sword
style, or around duel wielding weapons, which he uses to fight
opponents. Depending on the weapons he creates, he will choose a
fighting style based on the weapons he uses. He has many
different styles, most of which are just basic attack/defense
styles. Since he typically only uses weapons in his human form,
he doesn't really fully train in any one style and mixes and
matches styles depending on what he wants. However, most styles
are similar in that they are just normal basic attack/defense
styles, most of which have no special techniques. He is able to
use the speed and move prediction of the Hiten Mitsurugi style,
a style designed for supernatural-like speed and predicting
opponents, with this being a great style for speed-based
attacks. He can also use the power of the Gatotsu, a thrust
style that is very simple, yet very effective where he is able
to use the Gatotsu to do a thrust attack to attack an opponent.
The Gatotsu has four variations, a normal thrust towards an
opponent, an upward jump, a downward thrust and a point blank
range final attack. The Gatotsu is great for power and speed,
with it being a well balanced style. He is also able to use the
Nadeshiko and Battojutsu substyles of the Shingetsu style,
having seen the style and can use it as well to pierce almost
anything and use sword draws. However, while Vobu has a number
of basic style combats, these are mostly self taught and Vobu
has not mastered any one fighting style since he just fights as
he needs to and doesn't bother training that much due to his
natural combat talent in his human form.
- Multiple Martial Arts Style: Vobu, similar to his weapon form,
has not developed in any one fighting style, but has learned a
number of techniques of other styles and worked a number of them
into one fighting style that he uses that's a mix of multiple
styles. He has taken certain principles from multiple styles and
mixed them together. He knows, through the use of Chinese Kenpo,
how to use the style for close combat and for bone-snapping and
joint breaking, in which this style's offensive styles
specialize. He is also familiar with using his joints like
elbows and knees for deadly attacks thanks to learning parts of
the Muy Thai style, and can use this in combination with other
attacks to do more damage since the knee and elbow can put a lot
of power into it using this style. He knows a bit of Japanese
jujitsu, which specializes in locks and grapples, being a great
style for close combat and using the momentum of opponents
against them. This style is the most useful, since it lets him
get close to opponents using locks and holds so he can get close
enough to bite them and drink their blood and absorb soul energy
through touch. He also knows how to use elements of Krav Maga, a
dangerous style designed solely to kill opponents in a brutal
style, which is another style he likes to use since it's
designed to kill others. He can also mix kick-boxing into his
style, which mixes punches and kicks into a modern-like boxing
style, and can use this for close quarters combat. He also has
elements taken from some military fighting styles for disarming
opponents and killing opponents up close. As a result of this
mix, one can imagine that Vobu is a very deadly opponent up
close. However, like his weapon styles, he doesn't have a
mastery of any one style, and can use multiple style aspects due
to his natural talent for picking up combat abilities. Of
course, this is mostly for his human form, since his rabbit
forms usually aren't big enough to be useful in physical combat.
- Shito-Ryu Styles and Substyles: Shito-Ryu is a combat style, a
style of Karate that is branched off into it's own style. This
style is focused around five Pinan kata, which are empty hand
forms. These forms are all based around their specific stances,
and focused around these five substyles. For the most part, each
substyle has it's own methods of countering and attacking
opponents. This style not only works in one style, but Shito-Ryu
has spawned many other styles over the years, with there being a
lot of spin-off style of this. As such, most of the styles
follow the same basic rules, in that there are 5 main methods
for blocking attacks and attacking opponents. This style is all
based around the same general style as Karate, in which the
style uses fluid movement and agility to create a fighting style
that is very flexible, is great for speed, and has good striking
capabilities. Most users of this style focus it on defense,
though there are plenty of attack options with this, thanks to
it's unique striking combat attacks, and it's methods of many
different types of stances and movement options to allow most
users to use this style in their own ways depending on what
stances and what those stances allow form combat techniques.
This style usually specializes in using opponent's momentum
against them, due to many substyles being about using an
opponent's attack in some way to their advantage. Due to his
time in Japan since early times, Vobu mostly specializes in
Japanese fighting styles, which his main styles are Shito-ryu
and many of it's spinoff substyles like Shito-kai and Shukokai,
which are mostly just alternate Shito-Ryu styles that are
slightly different in their styles. This is the closest that
Vobu has come to mastering a style overall, even though he's not
a master, he's still very proficient in it.
- Shito-Ryu Rakka Substyle (Falling Petals): This style is
designed specifically around strong blocking and defense. In
this substyle, the main focus is around blocking, in which the
user bocks with such force and precision, that they can
completely stop an opponent's attacking motion. Those that train
in this substyle can actually block combat attacks with such a
force that they can actually cause people to stumble back, or
use blocking to stun opponents. This style is focused around the
concept of an immovable object, and focuses defense to allow
most users to block almost any combat attack (as long as it's a
powerful attack they can handle) without being budged. Usually,
when blocked properly, many opponents will be stunned when they
are forced back from a blocking technique, in which this is
designed to open their defense so that they can attack the
opponent's momentary opening. This style requires special
blocking techniques and being able to switch from defense to
attack almost instantly, which is very difficult for most
fighters to pull off. This style is great for defense, and
opening opponents up to attack, but is overall very difficult,
since most opponents aren't open to attack for long, so windows
to attack are short in this style. Users can block certain
attacks stronger than they are, but overall strong enough
opponents can still break through this defensive style.
- Shito-Ryu Ryusui Substyle (Running Water): This substyle is
all based around fluid motion and how to use it in combat. This
is typically a more balanced style, in which speed, strength and
defense are all necessary in order to use it effectively. This
style focuses around fluid motion, in which users combine attack
and defense into one solid motion and attack. When used, this
style uses soft blocks to avoid attacks, then using powerful
fluid movement to increase striking power to hit an opponent
with great force. In this style, this style focuses on a balance
of attack and defense, with it being mostly based around it's
movement. When using this style, many users can make short
subtle movements to avoid attacks, mostly using soft blocks to
keep attacks from hitting them. This is typically what most
people would associate as a karate style, since it focuses on
both defense and offense, as well as the movements required to
be able to combine the two effectively. While this does still
require changing stances between attacks, it does allow for more
options in defense and attack, since this style combines attack
and defense into one fluid movement. This style is a fairly
balanced style, but is still able to be overcome by certain
other styles. This style is focused around avoiding attacks, and
if the user is hit by the attack, often times it will stop the
attack completely, so this usually requires waiting for the
right opening. This means that a user needs to be able to move
effectively in order to use this. This style is also more about
patience and waiting for an opening, rather than making one's
own opening to attack.
- Shito-Ryu Kusshin Substyle (Elasticity): This substyle is more
about durability and attack than anything. This style is all
about using the momentum from taking attacks from an opponent
and then redirecting that momentum to attack. This style
requires heavy durability, as it requires getting hit by a
physical attack, and requires solid movement to keep the
momentum they gain after being hit. This style essentially
requires the user to absorb the momentum of being hit, using the
momentum given to them by the opponent's attack, and then using
it to fuel their own momentum and attack, essentially doubling
the user's momentum from normal attacks. This is a very complex
substyle, since it requires taking a hit before it can be used,
but can be a very powerful substyle. Some advanced users can
avoid lessen damage they take by moving with the attack, and not
taking as much of a hit from the attack so that they can still
gain the momentum but not take as much damage. As one might
guess, this style is defensive, but requires being able to take
an attack. But if the user can take the attack, they can almost
always do damage even to stronger opponents since this uses the
same momentum as the opponent's attacks used on the user, but
with the user's added momentum. However, certain stronger
attacks cannot be countered with this style, since certain
powerful attacks might do too much damage. This also requires
reading an opponent, as one has to know not only the direction
of the attack, but know how to use the momentum to hit an
opponent since sometimes this requires split-second movements
and decisions in a fight, especially if this art is used in
response to being hit. The user also has to know the attack is
coming to use this, so this plays back into reading opponents.
- Shito-Ryu Ten'i Substyle (Transposition): This substyle is all
about movement. Rather than blocking an attack, the user uses
the movement of an attack to avoid the attacker and then attack
from other directions. This style is focused around taking
advantage of the opponent's attacking motions, since this uses
dodging attacks rather than blocking in order to make sure the
opponent's momentum isn't interrupted so that the user can move
around the opponent before they can change attacks or stop their
momentum. This style focuses around movement, such as moving
behind an attacker while they're attacking using a sidestep, and
then attacking them from behind while they're trying to change
direction to attack. This style is all about movement, using
movement styles and agility to get around attackers and attack
them from other directions. As such, this style is more about
dodging than blocking, and requires users to be able to take
advantage of attack motions without stopping an opponent's
momentum so they can attack from another angel before the
opponent can pull out of their attack momentum. This style is
defensive, but does require strength training in order to hit
the opponent. Usually this style is focused around speed over
strength, so tactics like attacking vitals with less strength to
hurt opponents is necessary compared to other styles that have
strong attacks. And since this style requires using an
opponent's momentum to keep them in motion, usually opponents
that can change momentum quickly enough can avoid a lot of the
attacks of this substyle. This style also requires the user to
be faster than the opponent in order to be able to use this or
the opponent can easily dodge or counter this substyle since
faster opponents can more easily change attack directions.
- Shito-Ryu Hangeki Substyle (Counterattack): This is another
substyle of the Shito-Ryu style that focuses around using an
opponent's momentum. This style requires a two stage movement,
in which users have to be able to turn defensive movements into
counterattacks in response to enemy attacks. Users that use this
style learn to deflect attacks, but then use the momentum from
the blocking motion that redirects their momentum to then attack
an opponent with the momentum they gain from the deflection of
the attack. This is perhaps the hardest style to master, since
it requires not only blocking an attack by deflecting it, but
also requires turning that deflection into an attack. One such
example of this style is deflecting a punch downward, then using
the movement upward after the deflection to attack the
opponent's chin. This style also requires reading an opponent,
knowing not only how they're going to attack, but how to take
advantage of the momentum of the deflecting block to make an
attack. This combines defense and offense into one swift motion,
where the attack is immediately followed up by the deflection in
a combo-like style and are not two seperate movements. As such,
this style can only be used in response to an opponent's attack,
and requires that the user know how to use the momentum they
will gain to their advantage. Users of this style can be
countered more easily by opponents who change their momentum, in
which some can try to change the momentum and change attacks to
throw this off, or users that can avoid being blocked can
usually avoid the attacks of this style fairly easily especially
if they know the attack is coming.
- Shito-Ryu Shuchu Seishin Unique Substyle (Focused Spirit):
This is Zenrael's unique substyle of Shito-Ryu he developed by
combining Shito-Ryu with concepts from the grand priest fighting
style that Vobu learned from his brother. In this style, this
focused aspects of multiple styles, such as the hangeki
substyle's counter attacks, and the speedy style of the Ten'i
style. This style was designed to be used by those with a small
stature, and designed to allow them to use a combination of
certain Shito-Ryu techniques with the focused strength of the
grand priest angel style. This style uses the Ten'i style's
speed based movement, due to speed being a good focus for those
that have got such a short stature, but also since this style is
more or less based in speed, normally strength would suffer.
While Vobu can use other styles like Hangeki or Kusshin to use
momentum against opponents, his strike attacks don't hit too
hard since he's so shorter than some other opponents. As such,
the aspects of the focused strength style also allow him to hit
harder. There are two main aspects that are used in this style
for Vobu aside from the speed and momentum. When he uses this,
he uses the fighting spirit focus of the grand priest fighting
style to focus his strength when attacking, and uses the grand
priest vitals attacking style to focus his attacks into the
points at the vitals when he hits opponents so that it does more
damage. This style is fast and, with his fighting spirit
enhanced vital attacks, this style is also very strong thanks to
how Vobu has combined concepts from almost all of his fighting
styles and substyles into this style. However, due to his small
stature, this does mean his strength suffers, so it often takes
multiple hits to one's vital points to take down an opponent,
even when he's fully focused in his style, and this style is
able to be countered by faster opponents who can block or dodge
his attacks. Vobu isn't as proficient as his brother was in this
fighting style, but can still use it to deadly effect on
opponents when he chooses to.
- Supernatural Hunter Training/Hunting Experience: Having been
around since early creation and having fought many battles over
the years, most angels, fallen angels and demons are skilled
supernatural hunters who know easily how to fight most types of
supernaturals in the world. Most angels know the strengths and
weaknesses of many kinds of supernaturals, including some like
time lords that are more rare depending on the angel's or
demon's individual experiences. Most are skilled opponents to
face by any race, and knows how to take down most supernaturals
thanks to their experience which most fallen angels have more of
fighting on earth than normal angels. Any supernaturals an angel
or demon doesn't know about, they can usually find information
through research and access to information on other
supernaturals. Since most angels and demons are typically very
smart beings and have a lot of experience to teach them how to
handle many types of situations, they are able to often come up
with solutions to most problems if they encounter a supernatural
with an ability they can't counter. Though angels and demons
don't know everything about supernaturals, they usually know a
lot about the supernaturals they fight, even though there are
plenty they don't know, just like many other fighters since the
universe is filled with many unknown races and beings. While
they can handle things like angels and fallen angels more easily
due to experience fighting them, there are plenty of creatures
they don't have knowledge of.
- Tracking and Hunting Expert: This is another thing that comes
with experience in being a supernatural hunter, in which many
people trained as supernatural hunters learn how to track and
hunt supernaturals who are threats, often learning the best ways
to track down their opponents as well as how supernatural
hunters may track them if they ever find themselves on the wrong
end of a supernatural hunter (in the case of supernaturals).
Those trained in this learn very subtle things from their
training, like telling whether a foot print is their target or
not by things like the shape of the boot and how deep the
boot-print is, with some being advanced trackers that are able
to identify people by boot prints, as well as also being able to
tell where opponents go thanks to things like walking on plants,
and animals that are unusually silent in a direction. Some even
have a sense of when opponents are near, and can often gain a
sense of where their opponents are going while tracking them. Of
course, with a supernatural senses, this becomes even more
effective as those with enhanced senses can do things like find
traces of body heat, traces of presences, or even just telling
what's around them more easily with special senses.
- Supernatural Exorcism, Weakness and Trap Training: Of course,
every supernatural hunter has to learn how to do things like
exorcisms, and use traps for certain types of races. From their
training as well as their experience, demons were trained
heavily in how to trap and contain supernaturals mostly through
Enochian knowledge and spells/sigils of demonic design. They are
taught things like how to draw angel traps, how to build traps
for other supernaturals, or how to lure out supernaturals if
they try to hide. They are also taught all manners of exorcisms,
from exorcising demons, to using Enochian sigils to cast out
angels and fallen angels, and sometimes how to trap enemy
demons. Of course, as many demons have had plenty of practice
and experience, they also eventually developed experience with
it over time, and can learn new ways to take on supernaturals
thanks to experimentation with their abilities and knowing how
to combine certain exorcisms and abilities. Depending on what's
available, some demons can come up with new ways to take on
supernaturals, and this works even better when paired with their
exorcism abilities, in which they often use a combination of
exorcism and combat when taking on things like angels.
- Master Torture and Interrogation Expert: During a demon's time
in hell, most demons end up having to learn how to interrogate
thanks to certain situations that may require it, like
interrogating a human to find something the demon wants or is
sent to obtain. Over time, demons can became master
interrogators with practice, and can become great at using words
to overcome their opponent's wills when not using their mind
manipulation. Many have even gotten really good at knowing how
to torture some enemies, and usually knows how to get under
their skin through torture or through words. Some demons even
make torture their hobby, since hell is a place of eternal
torment. Most demons tend to use whatever strategy works best
for certain scenarios, such as using force against tougher
supernaturals or opponents, or reasoning with people who seem
scared of them (though whether or not they're honorable or
underhanded depends on the demon). Most demons are great at
playing games of intimidation, and their training will often
leave them with a knack for figuring out their opponents. They
may even know when it's best to make deals with certain
opponents, depending on the circumstances and if they're
honorable enough to keep their deals. For the most part, most
demons are very skilled at making people fear them, doing
whatever it takes to get their job done, and this is something
they have had to do as much as one might expect of demonic
nature. Those that know demons would expect nothing less of a
demon.
- Stealth and Infiltration Expert: Most wouldn't think it, but
demons can be very stealthy when they want to be. This
especially applies to those that hide among humans. Most demons
can be very stealthy beings, being very skilled in avoiding
encounters when they want to, or manipulating a group to hide in
so that they can avoid certain kinds of attention. Unlike some
demons who kill everyone who is in their way, smarter demons
know how to avoid battles, usually as a way to avoid possible
angelic encounters as angels will often appear to stop demons if
they sense a demon. From disguising as humans, and misdirecting
opponents, most demons are very skilled infiltrators, and even
better when paired with a demon's shapeshifting ability. This
has made demons great at hiding in plain sight, whether it's as
a normal human they've possessed, or as something else like
taking the form of a rat to hide and move their way through an
area to avoid other supernaturals. Depending on the demon, some
are smarter about this than others, but many have had to learn
this in some aspect, as most demons know that to survive, they
have to do whatever they need to do, and often times this means
knowing how to blend into a crowd. Most don't go around sneaking
into places and stealing things, but their stealth is more about
blending into groups, and passing as normal people rather than
just trying to sneak around. Most smarter demons who have lived
longer, especially those that don't start out as strong demons,
are usually the implementors of this, and this makes most demons
that hide among humans far more dangerous when people have
trouble finding the demon among crowds of people. Some can even
hide among supernaturals.
Passive Skills:
- Demonic Blood Crystal Wings: Instead of normal demon wings,
Vobu has blood which crystallizes and forms his demonic wings
instead of the normal bat-like wings of many vampires. His wings
look more angelic, except they are made of blood and are
reflective in nature. He calls these wings his blood crystal
wings, and he can use these not only to absorb blood based
attacks, but he can use this as a defense, as the power doesn't
require energy like his normal defensive blood armor powers
require, and is a passive skill that holds his wings together.
These wings are quite tough, being useful shields and letting
Vobu fly when needed. He can also spear opponents with the
"feathers" of these wings, which he can extend them towards
opponents and try to spear them, though this is best used at
close range where they have as little time to dodge as possible.
These wings operate much like normal demonic wings despite their
somewhat strange form and almost unusual weight, and no one
really figures out how Vobu is able to fly with such heavy wings
or he moves them. When not used, they are typically shapeshifted
into his back, and work just like any other wings. When
crystallized though, his wings can be destroyed by strong enough
attacks, and can bring him out of the air if the wings are
destroyed.
- Demon Lord Regeneration: Just like angels and fallen angels,
demons also have powerful regeneration. Depending on the level
of demon, most demons have some form of regeneration, combined
with demon hardskin defense to allow demons to fix their defense
and regeneration where they choose, similar to the angels and
fallen angels. Demons, like angels, are extremely difficult to
kill, and can only really be killed by certain kinds of weapons
like demon killer knives, angel blades, and special holy
weapons. Almost all demons have varying levels of regeneration,
with higher ranked demons having stronger regeneration if they
are more powerful demons (like hell knights who have much
stronger regeneration than normal demons or even demon lords).
While demons are still able to be killed, it is much harder to
kill them than most other beings, and most demons can regenerate
even if they are reduced to a bloody puddle as long as it's not
from something that will negate their regeneration. However, it
is worth noting that the more injuries they suffer and the worse
the injuries, the longer it might take them to regenerate. The
other problem with their regeneration is that some hunters have
learned they can cut demons into pieces and bury all the pieces
so they cannot regenerate. Demons still take damage like normal
beings, with the only real difference between them and other
supernatural beings being the fact that demons can regenerate
things like their heart and brain, whereas most other beings
cannot.
- Demon Lord Hardskin Defense: Like angels, demons also have
developed a type of defense using their unholy auras, in which
some demons have developed a harder skin using their demonic
auras, and have made their skin much harder to pierce in combat
in response to angelic hardskin defense. Typically this comes
alongside their regeneration, in which demons can focus some of
their regenerative power into this to strengthen their defense.
The question mostly becomes which skill do the demons want more,
as some prefer regeneration, but some prefer not taking the
damage at all. Typically, this defense, at its fullest, can
defend against normal bullets, and some higher level bullets,
with some showing that toughening the body can be just as useful
in a fight as regenerating injuries. The main issue with this is
that, in order to use it, one must sacrifice some regenerative
ability in order to generate the power form this, since this
power has to come from a source. Typically demons have a choice
of either one or the other, or weakening both to get a little of
both skills. This depends on the demon, as some may prefer one
over the other. At full strength, some demons and demon lords
have often been seen as nearly indestructible by weaker
opponents (even though they are just harder to damage).
Typically, higher level demons like demon lords and demon prince
level demons have more power they can put into this, but this
does still require putting in some of their regenerative power.
When at full strength, demons are only able to regenerate basic
injuries and cannot regenerate fatal wounds easily (though they
still can). This can, however, be more easily pierced by demonic
or darkness power, since this power runs on an demon's unholy
presence/aura. Certain weapons can even ignore this defense
entirely, such as angel blades being able to instantly break
this ability, and celestial weapons can more easily break this
skill as well. This mostly has the same effects, rules and
weaknesses as the angelic hardskin defense, as it's basically
the same power.
- Affinity for Physical Combat/Natural Combat Talent: Vobu has a
natural talent for combat, something he's picked up from having
to fight so many people over the years. He has a knack for
fighting, and growing stronger through battles, whether it's as
simple as learning about new fighting styles, or learning new
ways to counter certain techniques. Vobu is a highly adaptable
fighter, being able to adapt his fighting style more easily than
most. Vobu is someone who learns from almost every battle he's
in, becoming an even more deadly warrior over time, as Vobu has
been in many battles and wars, having lived for a very long
time, and learned to take full advantage of this natural talent.
This mostly applies to Vobu's human form, since he can't fight
too well in his rabbit form unless he's close enough to bite
someone or far enough to use dark arts. However, unlike some,
Vobu doesn't really train in combat, which means that he hasn't
at all maximized this potential, and all the combat ability he
has is raw talent. This means that certain more advanced combat
opponents might be able to counter his natural talent or
capitalize on his lack of true training.
- Affinity for the Dark Arts and Demonic Magic: After Vobu
commited a taboo and delved into dark voodoo magic, he gained an
affinity for the dark arts, and after being empowered by dark
arts, demonic power, and dark voodoo power, he has become a
manifestation of dark arts and demonic magic, often combined
into one. For the most part, Vobu is a very dangerous opponent,
and with his affinity for the dark arts, can learn new dark arts
and demonic magic abilities far more easily than most would be
able to. When Vobu is faced with another dark arts user, he is
often able to copy their abilities after seeing them just once,
learning new dark arts in this manner, or getting ideas for new
dark arts. And after humans started developing their scientific
methods and understanding, Vobu started capitalizing on this in
his dark arts, using it to his advantage to make his attacks
more dangerous, specifically with his blood arts using his
demonic presence. As he often says, he has taught a lot of
people dark arts, but he is the master of dark arts.
- Immune to Dark Voodoo Magic/Dark/Death/Demonic Magic/Power:
While Vobu is still vulnerable to holy powers, Vobu is
completely immune to dark voodoo magic, instead being empowered
by it, and is immune to dark or demonic magic. Usually, any dark
or demonic magic used on Vobu just leads to him copying the
spell and learning it rather than it hurting him. He is
completely immune to effects like death energy effects, darkness
or demonic effects, or even dark voodoo arts like voodoo doll
creation due to his immunity he gains as a voodoo demon lord
with the power of a dark spirit. While he can still be hurt by
physical damage done by the attacks, such as a dark magic
explosive attack doing concussive impact damage to him, he can't
be hurt but special effects of these powers, like being immune
to the corrosive effects of death energy. For the most part,
while he is immune to the dark sides of power (mostly), he isn't
immune to some neutral abilities and is definitely not immune to
holy magic which does far more damage to him due to his dark and
demonic nature. So if one wants to fight him, it is usually best
that one doesn't bring people who use death energy abilities,
demonic or dark abilities. The only dark abilities that can hurt
him is corrupted light and corrupted darkness, which do still do
damage to him as long as it's not his own manipulations.
Typically, users will want plenty of holy power when fighting
Vobu.
- Demonic Immunity to Demonic Effects: Demons are completely
immune to the demonic effects of their power. Usually, demons
cover a wider variety of abilities, but overall, demons are
typically immune to unholy side effects of demon power, such as
demon energy poisoning, or the demonic effects of corruption to
remove holy afflictions placed on them. While they can still
take damage from demonic attacks, such as concussive force or
slashing waves, extra demonic effects don't really hurt them,
and demonic energy isn't as effective against them. The main
thing to note with this though is that it doesn't grant specific
immunities to certain demon elements depending on what the demon
can do, such as a fire demon could still be hurt by demonic ice,
but not take extra damage from the demon element (only taking
damage from the ice element). Typically, unholy afflicts are
more effective on angels, and sometimes fallen angels, while
holy afflictions are the main method of hurting a demon. While
they are mostly immune to demonic effects, they are not immune
to fallen angel's corrupted powers, and they are not immune to
an angel's holy power (angelic power tends to act as the
opposite of demon power and can still hurt them). However,
unlike angels, demons are more varied, and some demons may take
specific damage from certain other demonic abilities depending
on the ability, such as demons may take damage from mixed holy
and unholy energy (like certain nephalem who can combine the two
into a unique energy), and may take damage from certain demonic
abilities that might be unique (such as a demon who might have a
corrupted demonic energy power being able to hurt other demons).
- Demon Blood Drinking/Demon Blood Enhancement: It is worth
noting that demon blood is demonically charged, in which demons
have extremely strong blood. This is something that can not only
have an effect on increasing a demon's power passively, but can
be strengthened by drinking the blood of other demons. If a
demon is seeking more power, they are able to drink demon blood
of others in order to power themselves up, similar to how
vampires can power up using supernatural blood. In addition to
gaining enhanced abilities through demon blood, demons can also
gain new powers in this way, where demons can gain new abilities
from other demons by drinking enough of their blood. This method
is typically taboo among demons however, as demons don't like it
when other demons turn on their own, but this is a passive
ability that demons can rely on if they so choose. When used,
demon blood is a good amplifier of power, in which demons can
gain temporary boosts, and sometimes permanent boosts to their
power the more they drink. However, the main downside to this is
that demons will eventually get addicted to demon blood after a
while, and lose power if they don't drink demon blood (sort of
like a withdrawal symptom), and some demons have actually become
cannibals. It is worth noting that the increase can continually
increase a demon's power, but as they get stronger, this ability
starts to lose it's effectiveness, similar to how medicines
become less effective over time, and is mostly just for demons
who want to temporarily increase their power and abilities, or
steal a new skill from another demon.
- Demon Soul Eater: Some demons are able to devour souls, in
which they can use souls to power themselves up alongside other
power-up options. Those that devour souls are able to devour
souls much like many other races that survive on souls, and
depending on the souls, the demon may gain enhanced abilities,
or even new abilities. However, it's not just new abilities, but
a user's physical stats could increase, or they could gain
soul-based regeneration powered by the souls inside of them,
depending on the demon and how they use this art. This art can
amp abilities or also amp physical stats, though some demons
process souls differently. Usually, souls don't dissolve in a
demon's body once eaten, and simply become a part of them in a
collection of souls usually connected to one central location
like the heart or sometimes even in the demon's soul. The major
downside to this ability to forcefully devour souls is that
those that can use this have to deal with the souls constant
cries and screams, which can be overwhelming to some who don't
know how to handle this. Over time though, most demons get used
to it, and learn to tune it out, with some even making a
strength out of gaining souls that might help them in battles if
the person's soul is taken willingly. The major downside is that
if the user is beaten to near death, the souls are typically
released from the being after enough of the demon's power is
used up, as they cannot maintain holds on the souls they possess
if they are too weak in power to maintain their soul devouring
power. Devouring souls usually is an art that takes strong
willed people and those with great power to use, as this art can
be a doubled edged sword if the user cannot contain certain
souls inside them.
- Demon Blood Communication Network/Demon Telepathy: Similar to
angel radio, demons have their own methods of communication. For
the most part, many demons communicate with each other by
telepathy, similar to the angels who use telepathy to interact
with each other and hear prayers. However, demons are more just
simple telepathy where they use it to communicate with one
another, rather than having a "network" like angels do. Demon
telepathy doesn't work through prayers like one would think,
since demons don't get prayers typically and demons tend to rely
more on summoning and magic spells to communicate rather than
using telepathy, since their telepathy usually has to know where
someone is to use it. However, demons can communicate and summon
each other through a specific blood spell that they use to send
messages to each other, essentially letting them phone each
other through this spell. This spell can also be used to summon
demons using blood, and works usually alongside a chant and a
blood offering, which is often used even by those that aren't
demons who try to summon Lucifer and Satan or other demons
depending on the demon they're trying to communicate with. This
can be set up as a private communication or to groups of demons
depending on what the demon wants to do. Unlike angel radio,
which others have managed to tune to with certain spells, demon
blood communication is essentially a private communication, but
the downside to this is that the demon blood communication
cannot be used except through preparation or spells to focus on
who they want to talk to, meaning this cannot be used in battle
to call for help usually like angel radio can be used to call
for allies.
- Demon Mimicry/Mortal Reading: Like angels, demons have a
natural affinity for mimicking others, in which they can do
things like mimicking someone's actions exactly. Their mimicry
is so complete that they are even able to copy the voices of
others, such as mimicking the voice of someone to lure an enemy
into a trap, or mimicking someone's actions to each muscle
movement. This typically goes along with their ability to read
mortals, in which demons are able to read a mortal's body
language usually fairly easily. The biggest use for this is that
most demons can tell when someone is lying, in which they can
tell by reading the person's body whether or not the person
believes they are telling the truth. While this doesn't help
against those that can suppress their unconscious minds signs at
lying (like the Darkfires and Hazeldines can), it does help
demons more easily read almost anyone that they can read. When
combining these two abilities together, it shows that the demons
have a high ability to read someone, as well as mimic their
movements and can even copy certain combat styles by watching
people fight. Typically, this can help in a fight, since they
can more easily learn how certain combat styles work. However,
some beings might not be as easy to mimic, specifically those
that have specific powers that prevent themselves from being
mimicked, and some have abilities that prevent them from being
read by other beings. Demons also can use their shapeshifting to
in combination with this to mimic others, in which they learn to
disguise themselves as mortals, and most never figure out they
are demons unless the demon wants them to, or the demon just
doesn't care about hiding.
- Demonic Cosmic Awareness: Most demons, like angels, are
powerful enough that they are aware of most things going on in
the known universe, as long as it's something the demons have
knowledge of. Demons typically have a pretty good understanding
of much of the forces of the universe, including those many
people wouldn't think would be important, though usually demon
princes are the main ones to keep track of the forces of the
universe, since most demons just follow orders and higher level
demons are the ones that have to plan for anything that might
come. On top of that, many higher level demons have such an
awareness of the universe that they can detect changes in space
and time, in which some demons can tell when someone is time
traveling and changing time, or tell when someone is teleporting
if they can track the teleportation (though usually only higher
level demons can do this). For the most part, demons are like
angels in that demons have most of the angel's same natures that
make them able to take on most threats in the known universe,
and aside from things like primordial beings, they typically
have knowledge of most things going on, including knowing things
like when portals to alternate dimensions have been created as
well. However, there is a limit to this, as certain types of
creatures are not always known or demons might not have
awareness of the entire universe. One such example is that
demons typically don't have any cosmic knowledge of primordial
beings, with one example being the The'Galin (though many angels
and demons do now know about them due to the war being fought).
However, it is worth noting that their knowledge only goes so
far, just like angels and fallen angels. Usually, normal demons
have a vague awareness of most of the major events in their
given world, but usually only higher level demons have the
ability to see certain things, like time traveling or sensing
alternate dimension portals, though this doesn't mean normal
demons aren't able to sense dangerous threats as they appear
like angels can.
- Sin/Negative Emotion Empowerment: Almost all demons are able
to gain empowerment off of at least one type of sin or negative
emotion. The general one for most is fear, anger and/or hatred,
which most demons default to as the main emotion they draw from.
And since demons tend to cause fear in others, usually fear is
their first choice. Those that use this are able to gain
empowerment through sin or negative emotion depending on what
their affinities for. Once a demon reaches a high enough level,
they are even able to influence this emotion in others, with the
demon princes being the best example of this where they are
basically incarnations of sin that focus the power of sin to
influence others and absorb specific sins generated by others.
This ability may also come with other benefits, as some special
abilities can be used in combination with this, such as succubus
demons having special abilities to use with their lust
manipulation. Again, the demon princes are a good example of
this, such as Mammon's gold manipulation being an extension of
his greed power, and Belphegor's sloth absorption enhancing his
mind as he sleeps. This depends mostly on the demon and their
abilities, as each demon is different, and depending on the
demon, some have very different uses for this. This is usually a
passive skill, with exception to any supernatural abilities
focused around manipulation of sin and negative emotions. Vobu
is able to gain empowerment from any of the 7 sins.
- Shadows of Desire Supernatural Charm/Charisma: Another affect
of his presence, and partly through his personality, Vobu is
able to charm and sweet-talk just about anyone he comes across.
As part of his presence, the sinful desires can make him more
appealing, and his words are often aimed at drawing out people's
desires, which doesn't always mean immediate deals or killing
like people think. Even those warned about Vobu have fallen prey
to his charm, and those that aren't careful could easily fall
prey to Vobu's charm/charisma. Vobu isn't one that starts with
deals and having dark spirits corrupt people, but rather he's
more about having fun and indulging in his own fun. Because of
this, many have let loose their inner most desires when in his
presence, as most aren't ready for his charismatic words and his
presence that draws out one's desires. For the most part,
Phantom is easily able to charm people, and often is very good
at sweet-talking people. Most are never ready for his fun
personality and his desire to just enjoy life, which throws a
lot of people off who don't know him. As such, it often makes
him easy to deal with, and many have eventually started dealing
with dark spirits because of his sweet words and the effects of
his presence. Usually, weaker willed people succumb fear more
easily than stronger willed people, as strong willed people are
able to resist this charm and charisma. It is worth noting
though, since part of this happens because of his presence, this
is a passive skill that Vobu has in addition to his natural
charm. Unlike Phantom though, Vobu is not able to overwhelm
someone with emotional immunities, and while he tries to be as
close to Phantom as possible, Vobu is often only seen as an
imitation who is trying to live up to being as much like Phantom
as possible.
- Genius IQ/Scientific Mind and Tactician: Vobu is extremely
smart, much more than most people think due to people thinking
he's just a magic user and not someone who cares about science
like most supernaturals. Vobu is smart enough that he keeps up
with advanced technology and even knows how advanced technology
works, being able to learn how to use any kind of technology
that might be available to him, and can learn new tech quite
easily. While he's not able to always use this in his dark arts,
it has led him to learning new ways to interact certain powers
together, like using the sulfur of his demonic presence in new
ways in his blood manipulation by manipulating the sulfur using
different types of sulfur compounds created through different
methods. Vobu is also a very smart person, knowing how to take
advantage of many situations most people might find hopeless.
Vobu is extremely intelligent and a great tactician, which has
made him even more dangerous as an opponent, with him being able
to analyze any opponent. Not many magic users would be
interested in science since supernatural powers rarely intersect
with science (usually only elemental powers can be amped with
science), but Vobu is extremely interested in the knowledge of
humans and how they understand the world. This is the only
natural talent besides his dark arts that Vobu actively works to
improve and train, since he feels learning new things can make
him a tougher opponent once he learns to integrate it into
certain abilities.
- Multilingual and Ancient Language Experts: Just like most
creatures who have been around since the dawn of time, Vobu can
speak multiple languages. For the most part, depending on where
the live and where they have lived, most of them speak a number
of languages, and are experts on ancient laguages, with most
being able to speak and write in almost any ancient language of
humans. Most are very fluent in Enochian, biblical Hebrew,
normal hebrew, and even most major languages spoken in major
countries. They can even spoke mostly forgotten languages that
most don't even know, like the original languages of the world
that have been lost to time. For the most part, most Seiji are
very good at learning new languages and at speaking and writing
in multiple languages that have been used over the years. Most
usually stick to the language of their own country they live in
depending on where they live, but most can switch languages for
almost any occassion. Vobu is able to speak most major languages
in the world, including English, French, Spanish, Portugese,
Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, Mongolian, Mandarin, and
Japanese. He also knows forgotten, or "dead" languages
(languages not used with no new words being added), including
sanscrit, biblical hebrew, latin and many ancient languages like
ancient Egyptian, Mayan, Incan or even knowing native american
languages.
- Demonic Supernatural Life Span: Demons, like angels and fallen
angels, have an indefinite lifespan. Thanks in part to their
supernatural regeneration, and their design in being a type of
creature that doesn't get old (Since demons are either twisted
angels or twisted dead human souls granted new life), demons
don't age, and no known demon has died of old age that hadn't
given up their power to become mortal or been killed by other
opponents. While a demon can still be killed in battle, or
killed in a few different ways, they cannot die of old age,
because their demonic regeneration and their design has been set
up so that they do not grow old. Most demons stay in the same
form they were since their birth (whether it's a twisted angel
that's been around since early creation or a human soul twisted
into a demon), in which their demonic self typically takes the
form of the form they take when they were created with small
changes made over time thanks to demonic shapeshifting. For the
most part, it's not known if demons will eventually die of old
age and just haven't yet, since it's not known if older demon's
regeneration can break down over time, which often causes many
regenerative types to age once they get old enough they start
losing their regenerative abilities. Since no demon (including
the demon princes who were the very first demons) has reached
that point, it is believed that they have an indefinite life
span, and since it's believed angels were designed this way, the
demons are believed to never have to worry about dying of old
age as well unless they choose to by giving up their power and
living a human life (which some have done). Since the life span
is indefinite, no one knows if demons can die of old age. It's
not said by those like God, so it's believed that they have an
indefinite life span unless something in them is changed by
those like God or Lucifer. However, this doesn't mean they can't
be killed in battle, as they can still be killed by things like
angel blades (normal demons can be killed by angel blades), or
things like death scythes (which can also kill demon princes and
hell knights).
- Supernatural Telepathy: This ability lets a demon communicate
telepathically with anyone they can connect to. Typically this
power uses their supernatural power, in which they use it to
tune to a person if they know where they are in order to
communicate with them. This lets them communicate with other
people without having to speak, with them being able to share
thoughts directly with others when the demon isn't using their
demonic communication using blood spells. However, usually the
demon has to know where the person is to use this basic
telepathy since they have to know where to send their thoughts
and communication. However, this doesn't apply to those who
establish permanent connections, such as connecting to other
family members (though demons typically don't have the ability
to create connections like this unless they have the abilities
of other races). This lets demons not only communicate with
those they have a permanent connect with, but can also tell them
where they are at any time should they require to find them or
need to be summoned to them (which they typically do with their
demon blood communication). Those who are set up with permanent
connections have to accept the connection, and even then, they
can sever it if they choose to. This is not as effective as
demon blood communication, so most don't ever really use this
power anymore after setting up special spells to summon and
communicate.
- Weapon Teleport/Connection: Unlike angels who usually use
intangible storage of their weapons, demons typically rely on
connecting their weapons to themselves, and being able to
teleport their weapon to them at any time, similar to certain
supernaturals who developed the ability to attach items to
themselves. Thanks to this originally being a demon ability,
demons are also able to do this. There are a few different ways
to do this, such as storing a weapon in one's soul, in which the
weapon becomes a part of them permanently, allowing them to
summon and desummon their weapon at will, and even control it.
There is also those that have a special connection with their
weapons, where they simply just develop a connection and then
are able to summon that weapon at any time to them, using that
connections. Some arts even allow stat boosts for a demon and
their weapon when used together, which works even better with
intelligent weapons. Typically, angels tend to use intangible
methods to store their weapons out of phase with reality, but
demons mostly just focus on making sure their weapon can be
summoned to them at any time, and make it so that they don't
need to keep the weapon with them as they can summon it no
matter where it is if they are connected to it. This has it's
uses compared to the angel method, such as one being able to get
a hold of the weapon if it's kept somewhere, but most demons can
still summon the weapon even if it's stolen from them if they
are connected to it.
- Enhanced Supernatural Senses: Vobu has enhanced senses, like
many supernaturals, and gain a passive enhancement thanks to his
supernatural nature. The first is that he gains enhanced senses
due to his rabbit form, which was his original form. The first
of his enhanced senses is 360° panoramic vision, which is
something rabbits have where they can detect things all around
them, with them being able to sense things at great distances
thanks to their senses designed to avoid predators. Rabbits also
have highly enhanced hearing, where they are able to hear on a
much greater frequency of sounds than humans can. Their sense of
smell isn't too different from humans, so that doesn't gain too
much of a supernatural enhancement compared to humans. Vobu's
hearing and vision are incredibly acute, with him being able to
see and sense whatever is around him. This applies to both his
human and rabbit forms, in which his senses are mostly the same
as a rabbits with a demonic type enhancement. However, while in
his human form, he doesn't have the 360 degree vision, since his
rabbit form has this due to the shape of it's head, and not as a
special ability like some might think.
- Demonic Sixth Sense: Much like vampires and other
supernaturals, demons can sense the presence of other beings,
and sensing who and what they are. This can sense not only one's
presence, but their levels of energy and how tough they are,
allowing the user to gauge how they stand against them, as well
as often being able to tell what they are by their presence if
the user recognizes what kind of presence it is. However, this
can be deceived by skilled opponents, sometimes not appearing
correctly if the user can't sense the opponent's full power or
use powers that fool this sense. There are also skills that hide
one's presence so those with this sense can't sense them, or
some opponents can suppress their presence so they're not fully
able to be sensed. While this isn't always the best judge of
someone's abilities, it can provide a slight insight to help the
user as to what they face or what's around them. Most beings can
be sensed, and to an extent, even the world around them can be
sensed, such as objects and other life around them like plants
and animals. Depending on the senses, this might also tune into
other senses, such as ki users being able to sense ki all around
them (though most demons just have a basic sixth sense.)
- Demonic Will: All demons have a resistance to mind alterations
and other powers that influence the mind thanks to their design
and twisting of their natures (whether angel or human
originally). When the demons were "born", they had more unique
minds than angels did (as angels came "preprogrammed" by God).
As such, they have resistance to powers that might intefere with
their minds after learning to focus their minds and prevent
opponents from influencing them since most demons have to learn
this in order to be able to manipulate other minds. As a result,
most abilities that affect the mind don't work well on demons,
though some stronger abilities do still work but to a reduced
effect. Demons have even gotten good at rewritting their own
minds through suggestion, so that they can more effectively
avoid things like psychics and control their minds like certain
other supernaturals like the Darkfires and Hazeldines. Demons
are typically immune to most forms of mind manipulation, and can
even shut down certain aspects of their mind when needed in
order to keep certain things from affecting them.
- Enhanced Supernatural Deity and Combat-based Physical Stats:
While Vobu isn't really much of a physical fighter in terms of
knowing seeking close combat fights, Vobu is still an enhanced
close combat and physical fighter, with him having enhanced
stats based on his combat ability and his supernatural power
that he uses. As a result, Vobu's abilities are highly enhanced,
where Vobu is able to fight with these enhanced stats in a fight
passively. Vobu is a pretty balanced fighter, not having any one
stat that is higher than the others, with him being a pretty
basic fighter. Vobu doesn't specialize in combat, but knows that
he needs to remain balanced in combat so he can be tough enough
to handle opponents. After fighting more people in recent years
and needing to learn close combat, he has focused on making sure
he can handle combat, even if he doesn't train. As a result,
Vobu is a pretty tough opponent for anyone. For the most part,
Vobu specializes in speed, agility, defense and stamina, but
cannot muster up great amounts of power due to his short
stature. As such, this can be a weakness at times, as sometimes
he can't damage stronger opponents enough to do any lasting
damage, however with his fighting styles, he does have ways
around this. Typically, Vobu prefers fighting with dark arts and
blood arts, and doesn't really rely too heavily on close combat,
since he has his own preferences in combat.
Transformations:
- Crimson Blood Flame Enhanced Form: This is a form he can only
go into when in his human form, where he gains a powerful
demonic form that replicates his human form, but with a more
demonic power than his normal human form. This enhances his
demonic power immensely, infusing himself with an immense amount
of hell-generated blood, where he burns off the hell-generated
blood flowing into mist by using his crimson blood flame
ability. When doing this, he constantly generates hell-generated
blood to burn, creating an enhanced form that is powered by the
burning blood and demonic presence released from the demonically
charged blood mist that empowers him. However, while this amps
him a lot, this puts out more power than he absorbs, meaning
that this form doesn't last for too long, as he will run out of
power for this form eventually, even if he can maintain it
during fights fairly easily. Because it costs power to summon
hell-generated blood, he has to use this power, rather than
using his own demonically charged blood (since he cannot use his
own blood without risking weakening himself as his blood
evaporates and burns). This form uses crimson blood crystal
wings which can also fire crystals of blood at opponents, with
Vobu even being able to make the crystals explode using his
explosive blood ability. When the power runs out of this form,
Vobu returns back to his normal human form.
Weaknesses:
- Vobu's ability to devour blood and spirit energy is also his
biggest weakness. Due to his curse for committing the particular
dark voodoo taboo of devouring souls and blood using the dark
voodoo arts, Vobu is cursed with a hunger that he can never
fully satisfy, and is forced to keep consuming, similar to the
dark spirits known as consumers. Unlike consumers though, Vobu
will actually get weaker if he does not feed on people, and if
he doesn't feed, then eventually he won't be able to restore his
power and will grow so weak he might not able to even manifest
himself physically. Vobu's bottomless hunger is his greatest
curse, and has made him into what he is today, a dark voodoo
demon lord who only cares about consuming as many people as he
can manage. As such, this is something that can be taken
advantage of, with many being able to fight Vobu more easily if
he is tired from not feeding for a while. If he gets weak, he is
more easily defeated, and can be more easily sealed by those
that want to use sealing magic on him like those who have sealed
in him away in the past. Typically, weakening him consists of
keeping him from souls and blood for a lengthened amount of time
until he starts to wear down.
- While Vobu is a spirit form voodoo god, he can be
killed/destroyed unlike some other type of spirits. While Vobu
can't be consumed like other spirits, he is still killable if
the person has a weapon that can kill spirits. For the most
part, destroying his bodies enough times will make it where he
cannot manifest for a while, with his human form being the best
way to kill him due to his human form manifesting more of his
spirit into a body than his other forms which are just slight
manifestations. For the most part, iron is the best weapon to
use on most of his forms, since they are basically manifested
spirits. Weapons like death wraith soul swords and zanpakutos do
extra damage against Vobu, just like iron weapons. These weapons
can more easily make it where Vobu cannot manifest in the
physical world if his bodily manifestations are destroyed enough
times, in which he won't be able to interact with the real world
at all until he has more power to manifest himself again.
- When it comes to his dark arts, the best counter is usually
holy power. Holy power can counter almost any of his dark arts,
with holy arts being great for countering his dark arts. Vobu
has no affinity for holy power, so he cannot copy holy
abilities, and they more easily counter almost all of his
abilities. His earth manipulation and other demonic elementals
(including his blood manipulation) can be countered with earth
or wind manipulation, with earth manipulation being best since
an earth user can pretty much counter almost anything Vobu can
do by manipulating almost anything Vobu could. Holy elementals
are also good, since Vobu cannot take control of these powers.
Heaven generated abilities (more on this coming soon) can also
be used to counter his hell generated abilities in addition to
their typical holy counters. If one is going to fight Vobu, it
is best to have the highest level of holy power available, as
Vobu is very close to demon prince levels of power, and is not
someone to take lightly.
- Vobu's dark spirit allies almost all have positive spirit
equivalents, and the ones that don't are usually counterable
with some form of positive power. For the most part, one doesn't
want to fight any of these spirits without some sort of iron
weapon, even if it's simple iron, or some form of spirit killing
weapon. Luckily, those with enough occult knowledge and training
to understand spirits will often know which spirits are which,
and often will know the strengths and weaknesses since most dark
spirits don't make much attempt to keep their abilities and
purposes secret. Another good way to counter dark spirits can be
with moglins, depending on the type of spirit, since moglins
know almost any kind of dark spirit and how to counter them.
Dark mage moglins will often side with the dark spirits, but
those like forest moglins will do whatever they can to help
people avoid the dark spirits since dark spirits often disrupt
the balance they maintain in nature. However, most moglins will
not go anywhere near Vobu and stronger dark spirits without some
really strong help, as they're not suicidal or dumb enough to
think they can counter high level dark spirits. Usually, groups
of moglins with good cheer can chase off dark spirits with their
positive emotions, which is most evident around their holiday of
Mogloween. When one looks at the list of dark spirits on Vobu's
side, they can usually tell which ones are the biggest problems,
like consumers and the Apathy. Usually the ones with more unique
abilities are the most dangerous, but most are usually
counterable with iron weapons or some sort of spirit-killing
weapon.
- When an angel is turned demon, depending on how much of the
angel's power is left in the demon after turning, some demons
retain their angelic power to a small degree. This is both
useful and hurtful, as it means that angelic weaknesses can also
be used to trap and/or kill them depending on the level of demon
they become. A good example of this is Asmodeus, who is
essentially a demon/angel mix of power similar to a nephalem and
both angelic and demonic wards can be used against him. While
this doesn't bother most angels turned demon, this can be a
problem against some more powerful wards and exorcisms, as they
might affect the demon as well, assuming that they are used
against the demon. Most demons aren't too worried about this,
but this can be a problem, and makes killing them a bit easier
when someone can use similar methods to killing an angel.
Because of this, most angels may try to keep secret their
angelic power and natures, as well as keeping secret if they
have angelic power left in them. Most angels who turn demon lose
almost all of their angel or fallen angel abilities, though a
few like Lucifer and Asmodeus have actually retained some of
their angelic power. This also might work against those
angel-turned demons if their angelic power lingers, because
forceful demon possession might not be possible, since
angel-turned demons may be required to use angelic possession
instead of demonic possession. For the most part, angelic
weaknesses don't affect Vobu too much, but some traps and sigils
do have some affect on Vobu if used properly.
- Just as holy opponents take more damage from demonic energy,
so too do all demons take increased damage from holy abilities
(unless they have specific holy abilities such as angel
abilities). For the most part, demons are able to be killed
depending on their demonic regeneration, with demon killer
weapons being able to bypass their regeneration and halt their
demonic regeneration for a short time. The two main things are
demon killer knives, which are made with special runes (though
demon killer knives don't permanently kill demon princes and
hell knights), and angel blades, which are designed to kill
demons (These also may not kill hell knights or demon princes on
their own). Other demon killing weapons exist, with many having
their own methods for killing demons. Other things like death
scythes, varanium weapons, or other weapons designed for killing
a variety of creatures often also work if they are also tuned to
killing demons. Though weapons like death scythes or varanium
weapons don't have to be tuned since they work on most
supernatural creatures. Typically, holy weapons are the most
effect items to use on demons since demons typically take more
damage from holy abilities.
- Burning holy oil, holy water and salt works against demons as
well, doing extra damage. Burning holy oil does extra damage to
them just as it does to angels, though it doesn't have the same
casting effect it does on angels when they are engulfed in it.
Instead, the burning holy oil just does heavy holy damage to
their bodies, even if they are fire users due to the immense
holy power of holy oil that can even stop angels in their
tracks. Some weaker demons can even be completely incinerated by
burning holy oil if they are not careful. Holy water also works,
with it being something that can stop or slow a demon pretty
effectively. Holy water does extra damage, and weapons coated in
holy water can stun a demon if they are hit with it. Salt also
works, being a way to counter demons as a spirit. Usually, salt
works the same way as holy water, where weapons coated in it or
salt itself can do extra damage to a demon, or even stun it.
Blessed salt works even better and does more damage if one has
it, but normal pure salt will work as well. Some demons can even
be trapped in a salt ring if it makes a ring around them.
- Demon wards, and demon traps are specific abilities designed
to counter demons. Demonic wards are able to keep demons out of
an area until they find a way to break the wards, often allowing
time to prepare a counter attack. Wards can also be used to cast
out demons, such as paper wards that can send a demon somewhere
random. There are also demon traps, which need only be drawn on
the ground in order to trap a demon once they step into the
circle. As long as the demon doesn't break out of, such as Hell
Knights being able to shake the ground to break the ground, the
spell circle will hold until the demon finds a way to get rid of
the trap circle. These trap circles have to maintain their shape
and form though, as the circle won't be effective once it is
broken. In addition to this there are other wards and traps that
can be used depending on the lore or origin, as many have
contended with demons over the years and developed their own
methods.
- Another way to counter demons are Enochian chants and exorcism
spells. There are a number of Enochian chants and spells that
can send a demon back to hell for a time, usually for up to a
week before they are able to return. These chants are all based
on the spoken words, which exorcise the demon, being able to
cast them out of an area. These exorcisms work fairly well, with
the only real downside being that the demon is easily able to
return to the living world after a time usually up to a week.
Usually this is best used for those that defy the rulers of hell
to send them back to the rulers of hell, usually for punishment.
These exorcisms also work better when accompanied by salt or
holy water, which weaken the demon's resistance to the chant.
However, some spoken exorcisms are quite lengthy, and if the
demon realizes what's going on, the demon needs only keep
someone from talking to prevent the chant since this doesn't
interrupt their powers. Typically demons who possess people are
more vulnerable to exorcisms than those that shapeshift.
Personality: Typically, Vobu is often a fun-loving, carefree
soul that only wants to have fun. A lot of people see Vobu as
childlike to a degree, where he will sometimes act with
child-like sense of fun and entertainment. Vobu tends to have a
dark tone to his voice, and may seem evil in a lot of ways, but
overall, he's just out for himself and those close to him.
Unlike his brother, Zenrael, he is not acting out a vendetta
against Heaven and Hell, even though he does still hate them for
casting him out simply because of what "could" have been.
Typically, Vobu is very level-headed, and rarely holds grudges
against anyone other than people who wrong him specifically or
commit injustices against him or disrespect his brother
Zenrael's life/death. Overall, Vobu is typically pretty
reasonable, though he does tend to sypathize with the
Brotherhood and supports them on the side while also getting
enjoyment from watching the Exiles react to threats as they
appear and how they fight those threats. Vobu is a very
calculating and smart demon, and often gets compared to Lucifer
with how he thinks. In battle, this intelligence shines, as Vobu
is an extremely smart fighter. Usually he relies on his dark
arts to overpower or find ways to outmanuever opponents, but he
will not hesitate to use underhanded tricks to beat opponents.
Typically, he will fight pretty honorably against people he
respects, but against those he doesn't like, he will win by any
means necessary, and won't hesitate to do what he needs to in
order to win.
Bio: Zenrael and Vobu were two twin Grigori angels that were
never on par with the others. Among their siblings, their short
stature and their rabbit forms were often the subject of
bullying by other angels, since they were an elite battle unit
and the two were actually pretty soft-hearted more than
warriors. Many of the Grigori that were also Watcher angels
usually had forms like lions, wolves, or tigers, but Vobu and
Zenrael were the only ones with non-violent forms, with Vobu
being a white rabbit, and Zenrael being a black rabbit, to which
everyone (including them) considered them twins. However, during
an incident when Zenrael was almost killed by a group of angels
by accident, Vobu got angry and snapped, drawing on dark arts in
order to slaughter the angels that were present, corrupting
himself in the process. Vobu did kill the angels and save his
brother from death, but was cast out of Heaven by Sariel,
despite Zenrael trying to defend his brother and tell Sariel
that they were acting in self defense. Despite Zenrael's pleas
to not cast out his brother, Sariel was forced to cast him out
anyway after Vobu used dark arts and corrupted his being to
become a fallen angel during the attack.
Afterwards, Vobu and Zenrael hung out on earth with many of the
other fallen angels, which increased over time as more angels
started to fall into sin. Vobu stayed a fallen angel for years,
operating alongside the fallen angels alongside his brother.
However, at some point, Vobu chose to become a demon, and the
two started doing their own thing. While they still hung out
together a lot, Vobu ended up getting rejected by Hell, due to
his growing power and prophecies that he would one day replace
Lucifer if not killed before he got too powerful. As a result,
he was cast out of Hell when no one could muster the power to
kill him, and some demons managed to convince some humans to
seal Vobu away for a while. For many years, Vobu kept getting
sealed away when he broke out of his seals, as others have tried
to keep him sealed. However, because Vobu comes back stronger
every time he is sealed due to being able to train his dark arts
in his seal, this method quickly proved only a temporary
measure. During one of the times he was sealed away though,
Danae Levesque (the Exiles universe Danae) had killed Zenrael
after Zenrael had started trying to kill the Exiles due to
wanting to mess with the balance of good and evil in the world.
However, unlike what people expected, Vobu didn't hold any
grudges against the Exiles, as he had found that it was his
brother who started the conflict and that his brother had
foolishly tried to kidnap Megan and Rock in order to get to
Danae, which ultimate resulted in Zenrael getting killed by
Danae.
However, during his time being sealed away, eventually Vobu had
made a deal with Phantom in that Vobu decided that he would
focus on trying to take souls for the Hell of Souls and for
Phantom, since pretty much every major force in the world had
rejected him. Overall, he supports the Brotherhood, but he does
stay out of the Exiles way to allow the Exiles to fight threats
to his business. Eventually, Vobu even managed to meet an
alternate Zenrael, who joined him in his path to try and corrupt
humanity and get them to make deals with the Shadow Realm. As
such, the alternate Zenrael and Vobu started their own bar,
endorsed by Phantom, called the Rabbit's Nest, which operated
much like Phantom's bars. These days, Vobu and his alternate
brother operate the bar and often just try to have fun as they
make deals with humans and try to get souls for Phantom.
