RP: New Forces

It had been a few months since Vin and Rei were revived. Both
had been training, and even more so after the meeting with Evan
Quindell/Ebon the snake. Vin, Rei and their dark halves had
gotten new allies as of late, and they were sitting in a room
after it was announced that Russian Special Forces would be
getting a new leader temporarily until General Dragunov and
Viktor were ready to fight again.
As Vin was laying her head on the table, Rei comes in and sits
down.
Rei: Why so down, sis? Still doubting you can be a fairy queen?
Vin: I just don't think I'm ready for that kind of
responsibility...
Dark Vin: I'm ready! I can't wait to become Demon Lord Vin! She
says, striking a dramatic pose.
Dark Rei: I think it has a nice ring to it. He says to Dark Vin.
On the table, Rei's small tiger, Tora, and Dark Rei's small
companion Shuga (Who was two beings, a snake and a turtle, with
one consciousness), both look over to Vin. Both were in their
small cute forms. Alongside them were Vin's fairy cat, Sidhe,
and Dark Vin's dark fairy cat, Dark Sidhe.
Tora: I think Vin's being smart. Being a ruler who rules fairly
requires someone who is willing to understand the
responsibility. You can't just take the rule without thinking.
Rulers have to be responsible for their people... That said, I
think Vin would make a great ruler... Not sure about Dark Vin
though.
Turtle Shuga: I think they both will handle it well... If what
Vin and Dark Vin said about that alternate future is true, then
they're gonna be good rulers... As long as Dark Vin doesn't go
full evil tyrant on us.
Dark Vin: Don't worry... I won't do that. I'm determined to rule
the fallen fairies with pride and fairness. No tyranny! She says
confidently.
From beside Vin, her sword spirit, Eiry, appears. Eiry: Cheer up
Vin... You've made it this far. You're stronger than you
realize.
Rei: What she said... He then turns to Eiry. So... Who are you?
Vin: Oh. This is Eiry. After we went to the future, future me
told me about what Eiry was doing during the war while we were
training, and told me how I could get her to join me if I asked.
So I asked her to be the spirit of my new sword that Dr. Kyouma
made for me.
Eiry: Well... It was a surprise, but I'm glad I can help.
Dark Vin: I'm still sad I didn't get a Dark Eiry... Kind of
makes me mad a little. Though I guess my scythe is strong enough
already. It is technically a spirit weapon She says with a shrug
and a sigh.
Rei: Hold on... The way you described what happened with the
cats, I thought that anything that changed with you reflected on
the other?
Dark Vin: It did... But my weapon was a spirit weapon I summoned
from my own spirit. Sorta like a death wraith sword. The fairies
do something different, and that's summoning spirits to be their
swords. We fallen fairies just summon the weapons from our own
spirits.
Dark Rei: But why doesn't it reflect on each other when I
thought both groups were identical opposites?
Vin: Apparently, there are small subtle differences that don't
transfer. The weapon is one of them. We just develop something
at the same time as them to counter anything they make that
doesn't transfer to us.
As they talk, Boris comes in cheerfully. He looks to the fairy
cats and grabs Sidhe first as he picks up him. Boris: Well
well... Aren't these little ones adorable? He says cheerfully as
he pets Sidhe.
Sidhe: Oh hello there... He says, somewhat surprised, but
doesn't try to fight.
Boris: Well... Such friendly little companions. He says,
noticing all the smaller companions of Rei and Vin's little
group.
Rei: So you must be the new guy?
Vin looks at Boris surprised, remembering the time they spent at
the memorial. Vin: So... You're the new leader? I see. I didn't
think we'd meet you so soon. She says to Boris.
Boris: That's right... I'm one of your new members. Well... I'm
the new leader, but we do have one other new member too. He then
sighs. I wanted to make big entrance, but it was just you guys,
so I figured I'd save it for another time. I hoped the others
would be here by now.
Dark Sidhe: I'm sure they'll arrive soon. I'm sure they'll all
want to meet their new commander. Mr. Shark (Fujishiro) said
he'd be a little late. He was scouting when he got the call, and
the chap didn't want to leave until he finished his scouting.

V and Maya walked into the room a few minutes later after Boris.
Sam and Voltan were helping US soldiers move into their new base
so they will arrive pretty late.
Maya: Hey guys, sorry that we're late. How's everyone?

Rei: Vin's still troubled about the Fairy Queen stuff it seems.
Vin: I'm not troubled. Just trying to figure some stuff out
about it.
Dark Rei: It also seems our new leader is here.
Boris: Temporary leader, I'm afraid. Just until Sergei and
Viktor are back up and leading again. But I'm sure you'll want
me to stay right? He says jokingly.

Chibiabos: "If it ease things a little, dear Vinette, Lady
Vendetta is still unsure about her position in Olympus, even
when she was in her teen years. Maybe she can give you some
advice."
Maya: We'll see how things go. For now, we're just trying to
survive this madness. She said lightly to Boris So what's your
name?

Vin: It's not that I'm not wanting to. It's that I don't want to
rush in and screw things up. After what happened with Olympus,
I'm not sure I'm ready yet to be a ruler. I mean... Zeus aside,
people didn't really support my rule from the get-go in the
short time I was in charge, so I can't really say that I could
rule a kingdom. As much as I wish I could, I feel like it's way
to early to even be thinking about this. After all, I know
future me didn't get that awesome in one day.
Dark Vin: Well... If nothing else, one of us could train as a
God of Destruction... If the fairy queen thing doesn't go
through, that's what I'm going to do. Maybe I could become a god
of destruction and Vin could become a Supreme Kai or something?
She says with a shrug.
Vin: I'm 90% sure that's not how that works? She says to her
dark half.
Tora: I couldn't see the two of you destroying anything bigger
than a soda. He says jokingly.
Boris: I am Boris Vyacheslavovich Popov. A pleasure to meet you,
my friends. He says to V and Maya cheerfully.

V: We can figure out the whole fairy thing later if you like. I
can see that it's stressing you out a bit.
V doesn't want to admit it but she was also going through some
mental thoughts. After that discussion with R. Kindron after the
fight with Shamala along with hearing different stories about
Arthur, getting Olympus back isn't going to be a walk in the
park. Not to mention her own mental problems such as PTSD and
the thought of failing Alix.
Maya: Specialist Maya Zolnerowich of Russian Special Forces.
Nice to meet you. White head here is Vendetta Zolnerowich.
Though you can call her V if you like. She doesn't mind
nicknames like that.

Vin: Yeah... I'll think about it later... It's not like it's
going to happen tomorrow or something. That snake guy said "when
they pantheon is ready", which sounds like it won't be right
away.
Boris: Nice to meet ya both. Don't worry about being formal with
me. I'm just a civilian, so I'm not gonna make you do all that
saluting and stuff. He says to V and Maya.
Vin, noticing V's stress, picks up Sidhe and tries to hand her
to V. Vin: V, why don't you spend some time with Sidhe here?
He's a fairy cat I found in the land of Fairies, that I guess
I'm keeping. They say spending time with animals reduces stress.
Sidhe: If you want, later I can give you a back massage. I'm the
best massage-er in all of the Land of Fairies. He says
confidently.
Dark Vin: I admit... I'm starting to understand why V and
Nightbane seem to value their little companions. She says as she
pets Dark Sidhe.

Maya: The same with us. Sam should be coming soon once she's
finished with things in the US.
V gently takes Sidhe and let him speak.
V: I guess I could for a day or two.
Maya: looks at Sidhe and the others Seriously, where do you guys
keep finding these fuzzy pals? Both military organizations can
use some of them to keep themselves from going nuts or being
total hard asses.

Vin: Yeah... I was in the Land of Fairies and found Sidhe being
bullied by other animals. When I rescued him... Things just
sorta happened. He said he belonged to me at that point, and I
have no idea how that works.
Sidhe: It's not uncommon for most fairies to have a companion.
Sometimes it's easy to tell, sometimes not so much. Usually
circumstances find a way to bring the fairy and their companion
together. I suppose it's not unlike how many witches and wizards
gain animal-like familiars. But when we are named, we become the
servants to the person who named us, which Vin did, intentional
or not. He explains. Despite being a cat, he seemed pretty
intelligent about fairies, much more than Vin.
Dark Sidhe: Indeed... And you probably know how the mirror
works, that when one side creates something, usually it is
created on the other side of the mirror too. Compared to Sidhe
who had a normal voice (or as normal a voice a cat could have),
Dark Sidhe seemed to have more of a British accent when he
talked.
Vin: I don't think anyone's ever explained it like that.
Sidhe: Did Lady Ramiris not explain the mirror? It's the balance
between light and dark, and the fairies and fallen fairies.
Vin: She did... Just not in that way.
Sidhe: I suppose that's the problem with being over ten thousand
years old... You kids just don't explain things like they used
to. He says with a sigh.
