RP: The Rabbit and The Snake

After the future vision Vobu had from Kindron's trip to the
future, he had decided to go see someone he had really hoped he
wouldn't ever have to see. He walks into a shop with Zehra, and
walks up to a table, where a man was sitting looking at cards.
The man, Evan Quindell, looked at Vobu with a cheerful smile as
he walks in.
Evan: Ah... Vobu! Right on time! He says cheerfully, speaking in
a Jamaican accent which was his usual voice. He looks to Zehra
with a smile. Zehra... Such a beautiful new vessel... Her aura
of death is rivaled only by yer own. It's beautiful, just like
you. He says to Zehra.
Zehra: Stop trying to hit on me, Ebon. I know you hit on just
about every beautiful girl that comes through here. He says,
calling Evan by his real name, which was Ebon the snake, from
Vobu's pantheon.
Vobu: As fun as it would be to see... whatever this is...
continue... He jumps up onto the chair, and then uses it to
climb onto the table. I need your help, Ebon... I don't want to
do this, but someone's throwing time in a loop. You felt it too,
yes?
Evan: I have... Da powa is far beyond me own... I cannot stop
dem from doing what dey want. He says with a sigh.
Vobu: Fine. I can deal with that... But I'm doing something
about the crybaby. That storm god needs to be dealt with and
he's legitimately pissed me off. He says, as he starts radiating
darkness.
Evan: Oh really? He says with a laugh. It's been many years
since I saw dat kind of darkness in you. I think the last time
was da garden. He says with a smile.
Vobu: Don't bring that up. You're the one I blame for that. It's
because of you I lost Flamey! You organized that little stunt!
He says to Evan, still radiating darkness.
Evan: You know da rules, Vobu... I am da dark, and servant of
Xeles... Well... To a point. He looks to him and smiles. But
hope is not lost... Our pantheon may live again. It's high time
we got someone ta clean up da place.
Vobu: You don't mean... You're gonna use someone to revive the
pantheon?! He says with a surprised expression.
Evan: Just like da phoenix... It be time for us ta rise from da
ashes.
Vobu: So... What do I do? He says with a sigh as he looks to
Evan.
Evan: Well... Let's see who we need to call... He starts pulling
out cards. The first card he draws is the picture of a turtle.
Ah... Of course, Alaster and his new charge, da girl with da
powa of Lucifer... He pulls another card, which had a picture of
a large black dragon skeleton on it. Well well... I guess I
can't be surprised that da girl's love would show up in da
list... He draws another card, this time a wolf with lightning
around it. Of course, da girl wit da Zeus power. He says as he
draws another card, this time a lightning sprite fairy. Ah... Da
other lightning girl... Vin, isn't it?
Vobu: What's Vin got to do with this?! He says with surprise,
since that wasn't a name he expected to come up.
Evan: I'm just da messenger... He says with a shrug as he pulls
another card, this time of a holy bird with white lightning. And
da priest... Thank ya, cards... I really want to give dat guy a
piece of me mind. He says jokingly. Go Vobu... call dem all
here. If ya want to deal with ya problem, bring them here.
Vobu: First... What's this going to cost, Ebon?
Evan: Well... I'm gonna need ya help with something in da
future... You're going to not let yourself be purified by dat
priest again. He says with an evil smile to Vobu. Unless ya want
to unbalance what I be working hard to keep in balance.
Zehra: We don't work for you, Ebon. Nor will we ever. She says
to Evan.
Evan: Relax... It's not a hard job... I just need da rabbit to
not let himself be un-darkened... Dat's all. As for the
others... What I gain is dey actions is payment enough. Dey
actions should balance out da payment. If they choose not ta
follow what I say, dat is on der heads. He says with a smile.
Vobu sighs and goes outside with Zehra.
Zehra: Lord Vobu... Should we really do this? Can't we make an
alliance with someone else? Maybe the vampire king or Onaga when
he's released?
Vobu: I've tried that in multiple timelines... It never ends
well or the alliance doesn't take off.
Vobu releases a mass of darkness, which acts like a message to
V, Vin, Father Hei, Alaster, Danae and Drake, which tells them
to come to him. Vobu kept the message more like a summon,
knowing that they would probably all show if Evan foresaw it,
though Vobu was kind of hoping none of them would show since he
was still skeptical.

((Tfw I think I use a pic similar to that but is unsure for

Danae and Adonia were at the Hazeldine manor doing research. Due
to their connections with the spirits, they were informed about
what happened and neither of them are happy. Danae was even
planning on having a discussion with the Zeus girl and a few of
her little friends about the situation but she also got another
warning about Ebon which makes Danae shudder and Adonia grimace.
Out of all the snakes she despise, Ebon is on top of Adonia's
list.
Not wanting to drag the Zeus girl in yet and assuming that her
Hazeldine friend is there with her, Danae gets ready for a
visual meeting through a tall mirror as Adonia start looking for
Drake so she can tell him to not only to not listen to Vobu but
to make sure that Vendetta and Vinette doesn't go anywhere
unless told otherwise by Danae. It didn't take long for Danae to
get a clear visual of Vobu before talking to him.
Danae: You must be really desperate if you're willing to go to
him out of all people. You couldn't just have tea at my place
and discuss this?

(I think it's a similar picture, but I don't think it's the same
character. I think the features are similar though.)
Drake appears next to Danae, and Father Hei also appears.
Vobu: Unfortunately, Danae... Even you can't see the future like
Ebon can. Circumstances required me to do this. If we don't do
something now, the future could be lost AGAIN, and I'm tired of
watching people I care about die in other timelines. He says to
Danae. He seems happy as Father Hei appears and waves to him.
Hello. You don't know me in this time, but we're good friends in
other timelines.
Father Hei adjusts his glasses and looks at Vobu for a moment.
Father Hei: I remember meeting you in the other timeline. This
is unexpected that you'd contact us so... peacefully.
Drake looks at Zehra, who glares back at him. Zehra: Stop
staring, dragon. Or I'll put an arrow in between your eyes. She
says to Drake.
Drake: First... You're a b*tch... And second... I'm trying to
figure out how to get in touch with the person you're using. He
says, as he was using his dragon rhythm sense and telepathy to
try and get a sense of Zehra and Alix's mind. Though psychic
stuff wasn't Drake's thing, so he didn't learn much, other than
he was able to contact Krieger and Awe.
Vobu looked over to Drake. Vobu: And the funny dragon is here
too. He says with a cheerful smile. Glad you came, maybe you'll
make this more fun. He says with a smile.

Danae takes Drake's hand and squeeze it lightly, trying to calm
him down a little. She listen to Vobu and makes a small frown.
Danae: Look, I know that you're upset. But you and I both know
that Ebon is a servant of that scarlet bastard. Even if
everything goes right, the cost of it will be something far
worse than we think and your group might suffer a fate much
worse than the deaths in the timelines. But if it makes you feel
any better, the good alternate version of himself who led Hei
and Vendetta back here gave him some serious licks (whoop his
ass).
Adonia start walking close to the group and lean on a bookshelf
nearby. Griffon flies over and land on Adonia's shoulder.
Griffon: Our Hazeldine buddy is with his son and the Zeus girl.
Addy told him to keep them away for now.
Adonia: The spirits told us what the priest's brother did in the
timeline. On one hand, those idiots should've known better so
that's on them. But on the other, I agree with Vobu on one
thing. He needs to be stopped before he does cross that line.
But here's the thing, we all have to remember that everything is
set in a domino effect. We stop the vampire but there are others
who has been trying to take his place. One of them was another
blasted Zeus brat who isn't right in the head and a sadistic
bastard. Then there's Anubis who's trying to come back.
Griffon: Er, no offense on the Zeus brat comment, preacher.
Adonia: The point is that going through with this is gonna set
off a chain of event that can and will make the situation worse.
And dealing with that fuckin' two faced reptile is the prime
example of that. And from the look of things, he probably
required something from you and your jinn friend that you didn't
take immediately.
Danae: So there has to be a better way for this, right? I don't
much about this V but from what I've been told, I don't think
any of the two are on board with committing fratricide.

Father Hei: Don't worry about it... Better than what they used
to call Zeus kids in my universe. He says to Griffon.
Vobu looks down at the ground, and shivers a bit at the thought
of Xeles. Vobu: Trust me... I know all about Xeles and what he
does with souls. He says, shaking in fear. He was looking at the
ground so no one could see the fear on his face. I'm one of the
few that have seen his presence, and seen the Hell of Souls. I
can't ever forget it... Any soul I eat that is bound for that
place is a soul saved in my opinion...
Zehra: The Hell of Souls is meant to be what it is... That's why
it's called that. Just don't make deals with us and you won't
ever see it... Or do... I don't care which. She says with a sigh
and a shrug. Since she was a dark spirit, she wasn't fearful of
it like everyone else, since she came from the Shadow Realm
where Xeles lives
Drake: Yeah... Kindron told me NEVER to deal with Xeles, his
servants or even get close to anything remotely related to the
Hell of Souls if I can help it. I was almost scared to ask about
him... You talk the same way Kindron does about him. He says to
Vobu. Despite everything, Xeles was the one person that Kindron
was actually afraid of, and why he often stayed close to
Toranoraos or Death because he didn't want to get close to
Xeles.
Vobu: You don't realize this, but I actually gave Kindron a
glimpse of that place... A short glimpse when I was training him
in using his aura abilities back when he was on his training
path... He... didn't take well to it either. No one really ever
does unless they're a dark spirit like Zehra here. He says to
Drake. About Ebon though. Don't worry... Ebon doesn't often send
people to the Hell of Souls unless they're really a threat to
the living world... Most people he just enslaves to him and
makes them do whatever he wants as servants of his precious
"balance". Though is balance isn't always what it's cracked up
to be. Especially when he does things like orchestrate a war
against Heaven. He says, regaining his composure. But that
doesn't mean I want any of you to be stuck with him if you have
to.
Father Hei: So we shouldn't make any deals with him without
reading the fine print then? I think the term "Selling your soul
to the devil" is appropriate here. He says with a sigh. His
comment makes Vobu laugh a little.
Vobu: That about sums him up.

Adonia: There it is. Adonia hissed and makes a hand gesture to
Vobu when he mention the part of what Ebon does when it comes to
"balance"
Danae: Yeah, I already went through slavery before. I'm not
going to go through something like that again and I'll be damned
if I'm gonna let someone go through the same fate. Danae kept
her composure but she doesn't look at the others. She was a
slave many years ago and it's a topic that she didn't like to
even think about.
Adonia: To Drake: We shouldn't make any deals with him at all.
Hell, it makes selling your soul to someone like Crowley seem
like a trip to Dave and Buster's.
Danae: Okay, let's think this through then. From what the
reptile told you two, it requires me, Drake, Hei, Vendetta and
Vinette correct? The last three I understand but why the hell
are both me and Drake involved into this kind of mess? I don't
know the boy other than what the spirits tells me and the only
Kindron Drake here knows very well is the Underworld one.
Griffon: Well then again, from what I've learned, we didn't last
very long. First timeline, you and bone boy died fighting your
old man and the horned guy (Satan). The other two we died
because we didn't want to get involved with the storm vampire's
god complex and he just decided to off the both of us Salem
Witch Trials style.

Vobu: And in every timeline, my people also die... And a common
thing seems to be me getting purified and turned good by Hei...
Which I'm fine with in terms of being good, but I don't like
that my people have to die for it. He then turns to Danae.
I'm... not sure why you're here... Even he doesn't know why he
pulls the cards he pulls sometimes... But you and Drake were
definitely on the list. He thinks for a moment. I'll have to ask
him... Knowing him, it's probably some real convoluted reason...
Nothing is ever simple with him... He turns to the entire group.
Let this be a lesson to you guys... Never deal with snakes.
Lucifer, Ebon... They're all the same.
Alaster seems to come from behind Danae's back, climbing up on
her shoulder. Alaster: It's... never fun... Being around him...
He says about dealing with Ebon.
As they talk, the door opens to the next room by itself where
Evan was sitting at the table, and he looks to the group. Evan:
It be rude to be talkin' about me, Vobu, Alaster... I'd be happy
to explain what ya be doing... But it might be nice of ya to
come in an' take a seat.

(Vobu was in a room just outside of the room Evan is in. I
thought they teleported there, I somehow missed the part about
the mirror. Well, if they can see Vobu, then they can see the
door behind him where it opened up with Evan inside. He'd be
able to hear what's going on outside his door since what's going
on is in his little shop/home/whatever it is/I haven't yet
decided, and would hear the talk through the mirror since the
other side is connected to his domain currently.)

Seriously, cottontail, you or that damn genie couldn't sound
proof the room or something? I feel eavesdropped. Is that the
right term? Sounds a little weird coming out of my mouth...
