Profile: Bang

---------------------------------------------------------
"You do not need to know who the victor is in a battle using
martial arts. That is the beauty of this art."
"I don't consider myself as a deity of martial arts like how
some people like to compare me to. Though I wouldn't mind
sparring one one day. Well... one who isn't full of themselves
anyway."
"You're not a demon. You're just a child. A child who needs a
home. Come."
~Bang adopting a child Stephanie
"Stephanie is my child, not your weapon to use against your
enemy. You demons and the angels have to learn that your war has
ended and the rivalry between you two is futile and childish. If
you don't leave here right now, I'll make you leave. And trust
me, neither of you three want that kind of fate."
~Bang to a small group of demons who were trying to get
Stephanie since she's the child of Leviathan.
Bang: I'm sorry to call you at a time like this, brother. But I
need your help. My former student has turned to a dark path and
I need help to stop him.
Bomb: I understand. Did you also call Stephanie? She might be a
part of this as well.
Bang: Stephanie has enough problems already due to what's
happening in the Judeo-Christian pantheon. Besides, Garou is my
responsibility.
"Bang is one of the best martial artists I have ever known in my
life. In fact, he was the guy who kicked my ass and set me
straight when I was a brat. I had no one and he gave me a home
and someone I can look up to. In all honesty, if we can choose
our parents, I would choose Bang. I think you and the others
would like him."
~Stephanie Swan Quills to Lei Sheng on her foster father and
S-Class hero, Bang.
Name:
Bang
Other Names:
Silver Fang
Greatest Treasure of Martial Arts
Age:
81
Gender:
Male
Species:
Human
Height:
5'5
Weight:
121lbs
Appearance:
Bang is an elderly man and walks with a slight hunch in his
back. He has light blue eyes and tan skin. He has spike white
hair, thick white eyebrows, and a thick white mustache. He wears
a long-sleeved black martial arts jumpsuit, light-colored pants,
and Tai Chi slippers. Despite his old age, his body is lean and
very muscular, and it is covered in scars.
Family:
Brother: Bomb
Foster Daughter: Stephanie Swan Quills
Organization:
None
Occupation:
Vigilante Hero
Martial Arts Teacher
Powers:
Homo Superior Physiology:
~User is a human being that has developed powers and abilities
from a variety of causes, such as evolution, genetic
experiments, enchantment, having powers bestowed upon them by
other beings or sources, through birth, and training to obtain
said powers classifying them into superhuman beings. Also,
thanks to the human side of their heritage (if the powers are
genetically-based), they can use these abilities without
becoming a monster (i.e. keeping their human physique, sanity,
and humanity without it being altered from possible
instability).
Bang is one of the most powerful mortal heroes on the planet. He
is a highly proficient martial artist and martial arts teacher,
having taught Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist to his former
disciples Garou and Stephanie, who are both incredibly skilled
in the art. Even after Garou's power boost, which several heroes
and demigods could not stand up to, Bang was still able to
heavily injure Garou. He is known as an idol and treasure of
martial arts, almost being like a god in the martial arts world,
and thus one of the most skilled and powerful martial artists in
the world, despite the fact that he is far past his physical
prime.
Old Prime:
~The user has great status both mentally and physically despite
their old age either from years of training or off the fly
making their opponents often underestimate them as well and they
make it appear as if time has had no effect on their physical
condition making them a force to be reckoned with. Some users
have great intellect and are capable of being master strategists
as well.
Immense Strength:
~Despite his old age, Bang possesses incredible physical
strength, far beyond that of an average demigod, even by S-Class
standards. He has been shown to be able to destroy meteorite
fragments with his bare hands. He is strong enough to subdue a
young Stephanie Swan Quills despite her being the child of an
archdemon along with creating a huge crater during his fight
with Garou and brutally damage him. When Bang prepares to fight
at maximum power against Elder Centipede, his muscles increase
in size, and his veins become visible as well. Combining his
strength with his brother, Bomb, Bang was able to knock Elder
Centipede back and destroy the enormous monster's carapace
armor, which was able to withstand missiles.
Immense Speed and Reflexes:
~He possesses impressive speed, as he is able to follow the
movements of extremely fast opponents and was able to not only
outrun a falling spaceship but can also outrun most fast
supernatural creatures and demigods, even being close to catch
up being with insane speed such as Feng Wukong, one of the
fastest mortals on the planet and Raphael Capone, the son of the
Roman god Mercury. His immense speed allows him to run dozens of
miles before tiring, being able to run much farther in his
prime.
Immense Durability:
~Bang is incredibly resilient. He was able to survive a direct
hit from Melzargard that sent him crashing through several
pieces of concrete debris without apparent injuries; the same
attack blew off the A-Class hero Iaian's arm. Elder Centipede's
stomach acid, which damaged Genos's parts, left only minor marks
on his skin.
Immense Stamina:
~Bang possesses an amazing level of stamina. He says he is able
to run a few dozen kilometers before getting winded, although
his age has taken a toll on his stamina.
Enhanced Senses:
~Bang's senses are also far beyond the human norm. He seems to
have developed a sixth sense; being able to sense the presence
of others without the usage of his natural five senses.
Fighting Styles:
Master Martial Artist:
~From decades of experience, Bang is one of the most powerful
martial artists in the world. Bang possesses a vast knowledge of
martial arts, and as a result, was able to create his martial
art. Despite his old age, Bang can defeat Dragon-level monsters
with ease. He is considered to be the "Greatest Treasure of
Martial Arts". Bang’s Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist is much
more efficient and precise than Garou's. Garou must make a
conscious effort in order to use the techniques, but for Bang,
it has become part of his very being. As for Stephanie, although
she is an expert with the technique, she herself admitted that
it's not even close as good as Bang's.
Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist:
~Bang's martial art. Genos describes the style as "the perfect
blend of offense and defense". Charanko describes Bang, or at
least his usage of the martial art, as "leading his enemies
around the nose by moving like a calm stream, only to finish
them off with a punch strong enough to smash great rocks like a
raging river", implying that Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist
parallels real-life Tai Chi.
Water Stream Encampment:
~Bang creates an area where his fists destroy anything that
enters. First used to protect Genos from the falling meteor
debris.
Instantaneous Effect:
~Bang jumps at his opponent using special footwork, then
elegantly and quickly moves as if he was flowing, and confuses
them with a swift feint and then performs a fast piercing
attack. First used against Melzargard.
Fang Interpolation:
~Bang conditioned his fingertips to be far more powerful than
steel, capable of hitting the smallest weak points with single
strikes of incredible accuracy. This move is as smooth as water
but powerful enough to destroy rock with unparalleled
destructive power.
Abandonment:
~Abandonment is a breathing technique that allows Bang to remove
all his subconscious restrictions as well as forcibly ignore his
survival instincts. When they are removed, Bang's mobility,
agility, and maneuverability, as well as his fighting style, are
heightened. Bang is seen utilizing this to prepare for his fight
with Elder Centipede, so Bomb and Genos could escape with the
unconscious heroes.
Weaknesses:
Despite his amazing feats and martial art skills, Bang is still
human so he can die like any other mortal human. Bang is also
really old so his amazing skills aren't what they used to be
like when he was in his prime, which he states at times.
Transformation(s):
None
Weapon(s):
None
Personality:
Bang has a serious personality. His demeanor is normally calm,
shown when he is seemingly unperturbed by the Dragon-level
meteor falling on Z-City. Unlike most other heroes, Bang prefers
to be called by his name rather than his hero alias Silver Fang.
Bang is also well-grounded in the ethics of heroism; he accuses
the other S-Class heroes of being heartless for ignoring the
disaster in Z-City and attending to their own problems instead.
Additionally, when witnessing Tanktop Black Hole accuse Saitama
of causing the civilians' misery, Bang watches from a distance
sympathetically, but without interruption, noting that heroes
have to take responsibility for their actions, and will normally
have to deal with the lack of appreciation for their work.
Later, when his disciple Charanko confronts Saitama by praising
his martial arts master's skill and hero rank, Bang scolds his
disciple not to embarrass him and states outright that Saitama
is many times stronger than he is.
Perhaps due to losing all but one of his disciples to his former
top disciple Garou (on top of his old age and his remaining
disciple's incompetence), Bang is always eagerly looking for new
disciples to succeed him. After stating that he would not want
the meteorite to fall on Z-City as it would erase his dojo, Bang
quickly demonstrates his Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, to
Genos, only to realize that Genos had already disappeared.
Later, he invites Saitama and Genos to his dojo to try and
recruit them to his dojo. His unyieldingness to protect the
citizens/civilians can be said as strategic importance in the
world of heroes. He has a sense of nobility and moral integrity,
thus earning respect from the other heroes.
Bang cares deeply for Stephanie as if she's his own flesh and
blood despite her being the child of the archdemon, Leviathan.
Although he miss her spending time in the dojo, he is proud that
Stephanie became a teacher and is passing what she has learned
to the new generation. Though he is also pleased that Stephanie
visit him from time to time. Bang also cares deeply for his
former disciple, Garou. He fears for Garou's fate of becoming a
monster, a process that seems irreversible. Bang's character
changes when he becomes angered. He speaks less, and his
fighting style becomes less efficient. He resorts to a barrage
of attacks instead of a single powerful blow, as proven when a
small group of demons try to take Stephanie away from him and
stating that he has no right to keep something that belongs to
Hell. He is also disgusted at the negative and unhealthy hero
culture of the world from both mortals and half bloods like
demigods. He is disgusted the most about the gangs Black Sun and
Hyperion due to the carnage and misery they spread in their wake
all in the sake of their twisted and backwater morals and
philosophy.
Bio:
Not much is known about Bang except that he owns a dojo passed
down from generations and uses the fighting style of Water
Stream Rock Smashing Fist while his older brother named Bomb is
the master of the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist. Bang invented the
Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist while training under his older
brother named Bomb. All of his scars came from his training
trying to master it. Bang at 30 was considered unstoppable. Bang
and Bomb often practiced martial arts together to the point of
developing powerful combination attacks.
Bang once participated in Super Fight tournament to promote his
dojo and won. At some point before the start of the series, Bang
was ranked 77 in B-Class until he was moved up when the S-Class
was formed. At some point, Bang had many students, two of his
best were Garou and Stephanie Swan Quills. Years ago, Bang
adopted Stephanie when she was young after subduing her.
Realizing that she has no home or family to turn to, Bang took
her in and raised her as one of his own. In time, Stephanie grew
up and became a teacher, wanting to pass her father and
teacher's teaching to students. Later on, he had Garou as one of
his best. One day, as Bang was away, Garou rampaged through the
dojo, injuring many of Bang's students, including Sour Face, and
incapacitating many others. Because of his actions, Bang beat up
Garou and expelled him and because of the rampage, Bang lost all
of his students, except Charanko.
Later on during the insanity that has been going on in the
world, Bang was focused on surviving along with checking up on
his daughter Stephanie every so often. He one day went to go
find Garou when he found out about what he was doing along with
the latest incident was him fighting against Stephanie. When
Genos begins to incinerate a weakened Garou after a brief
intense fight, Bang comes to intervene in the process by kicking
Garou in the face. Bang says hello to his former student,
lamenting his terrible condition, deciding to put him out of his
misery once and for all. Bang tells Garou to take a stance, and
the two martial artists prepare to fight each other in a
one-on-one duel. Garou initiates the first attack, but before he
can even react, Garou is pummeled with a burst of quick and
powerful blows by Bang.
Bang continues to pummel Garou with his attacks and when the
former student tries to counterattack, Bang expertly blocks it
and uses his Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, overwhelming
Garou. Garou tried to use Death Gatling as a meat shield,
however Bomb blocks his attempt and both brothers combine their
martial arts against Garou. As they were about to land the
finishing blow, Garou surprises them by destroying the ground
and swinging a huge tree at both Bomb and Bang forcing them to
back off. Bang tells Garou to surrender, but was surprised when
Genzo swooped in and saved Garou, while calling Elder Centipede
to cover their escape. Bang noticed the collateral damage the
monster caused so he and his brother save the unconscious heroes
from their demise.
Bang combines his strength with Bomb and Genos and managed to
significantly damage Elder Centipede with Bang and Bomb's
combination attack, Roaring Aura Sky Ripping Fist, however, the
monster's regeneration and molting allow it to recover and
become larger and angrier. Furthermore, Genos' plan to destroy
the monster from the inside failed. The trio decide to retreat,
but as they were getting closer to the edge of the park, Bang
decided to sacrifice himself to buy time for Bomb to escape with
the unconscious heroes and Genos. Fortunately, King arrives and
catches Elder Centipede's attention by tricking him into
believing that he brought Blast with him, as well as taunting
the monster, making the monster charge toward the S-Class hero.
Bang later on recovered at True Cross Academy since someone
brought him there. Although Stephanie wished that she can
introduce the nephalems to Bang at a better moment, she was
happy that he was alright.
((More might come later once I think of something))
