"Well then... Clears throat. Officially, Maverick Incorporated
condems you and your actions as unlawful... And a general pain
the a**hole. He says the last part jokingly, then switches to
encrypted communication. Unofficially... I will do all I can to
help. I don't like what those mudaki (Russian for "assholes")
are doing any more than you." - Boris to Jack "Raiden" during
their mission against Desperado when Jack went against the
organization's rules to save a group of people from being turned
into cyborgs against their will.
"This isn't an infiltration mission, so there's no need to avoid
combat... Just don't get reckless, tovarisch (Russian for
"comrade")." - Boris heading a mission for his former
organization, Maverick
"We have no rules about property damage, but keep it minimal,
yes? It just makes us look bad." - Boris joking during a mission
to someone asking if they could destroy the enemy base.
"They're trying to use stealth camo to ambush you... What
morons, huh? He says the last part jokingly. As if that will do
any good against you." - Boris coordinating another mission.
"Many people are counting on us, and not just here at Special
Forces. The last thing we need is another clever cowboy shipped
back to us in pieces..." - Boris to an American Special Forces
person who was trash-talking that they were going to beat
Hyperion
"Well, no matter what, this mission has a nice side-benefit.
Putting a dent in Desperado will screw whoever's backing them,
too." - Boris to Jack "Raiden" when they were trying to take
down the criminal organization Desperado.
During a talk with Jack "Raiden" after Raiden killed Senator
Armstrong when he tried to use an organization called World
Marshal to start an international incident.
Raiden: I hear World Marshal is looking for a buyer.
Boris: Well... You cost them a lot of money, da (Russian for
"yes")? Not to mention 'killing' their funding... Literally! He
says jokingly.
A conversation between Jack "Raiden and Boris during their
battle against Desperado.
Raiden: These rifles Desperado's using, those are MAK-200s,
right? Same as Maverick's standard issue. Nice weapon... Not
that any gun is much use against a cyborg.
Boris: Da, the 200 is a thing of beauty. We were one of the
first to adopt them, three years ago. It has minimal muzzle
flash and report when firing, and little recoil. Plus, the
ejection port near the muzzle makes it good in both left and
right hand. Rare for bullpup rifle. Easy maintenance, tough
enough to take some dirt without jamming every shot... And it
takes standard NATO magazine, so you can find ammo on almost any
mission, anywhere in the world.
Raiden: Sounds like somebody's in love.
Boris: It reminds me of the good old days. Most Soviet gear was
trash, yes, but the rifles... ah, the rifles... The best in the
world. And it seems I am not the only one to appreciate them.

basis, but has access to all of Special Forces gear and

Combat Abilities:
- Military Combat/Russian Sambo Training: This is a common
military and combat training art in Russia. Combat Sambo is a
Russian military and combat sport, which is designed with roots
in Japanese judo, international wrestling and a few other
styles, designed to be like a Russian mixed martial arts. Combat
Sambo is a much more complex style than one would think,
focusing on strikes and grapples similar to judo. This style is
very effective among the Russian military, and teaches self
defense against things like swords, knives, and guns without
having to use a weapon, usually for disarming opponents in
battle. Like judo, grapples and throws are usually about
redirecting an opponent's force of their attack, and using it to
the advantage of the user, usually to knock the opponent off
balance or open them up to attack. Typically, this is taught as
a non-lethal combat style, though military combat training does
train users to use deadly force if necessary. This fighting
style is usually pretty balanced between fluid movement, good
defense, agile speed, and attack strength, making it a great
fighting style for those that wish to train their combat.
Currently, the military version of the style is favored by
Russian military, and is taught as a major combat type for
soldiers so that they can battle opponents in close combat. This
style can be customized when needed, and people can develop
their own variations of this style with enough knowlege and
practice. Boris doesn't look it, but he is a master Sambo
fighter, and can hold his own against some extremely tough
fighters.
- Russian Martial Arts Stepping Method: Square Step: This is a
stepping method used in Russian martial arts, where the user
moves around an opponent in a square-like motion. This is
designed to do what other stepping methods do, and get the user
around an attack while moving simultaneously through the
opponent's defense. This is a high speed movement when used
properly, allowing quick dodging and movement when used properly
after some modification by Russian supernatural users of Russian
martial arts. This style moves the foot and uses the toes rather
than keeping the heels flat, as moving using their toes creates
less friction and less speed reduction. And when used properly,
the user can move around opponents attacks in a square-like
fashion. Similar to other stepping methods, this is used in
conjunction with other Russian combat arts, as any martial arts
will emphasize the importants of footwork and leg strength,
since it builds a foundation for martial arts skills and
movement. Masters of this style are able to learn certain
advanced movement arts if they are able to move effectively. For
Boris, he uses this mostly as intended, usually to avoid attacks
so he can use an opponent's momentum against them as he uses
this in combination with Sampo to usually knock an opponent off
balance and use the opponent's momentum to throw them.
- Military Weapons Expert/Master Marksman: Despite not usually
carrying weapons unless he is on a mission, Boris is highly
trained and knows how to wield almost any weapon with deadly
accuracy. Boris is skilled with many kinds of firearms, and
usually can fire effectively with just about any weapon.
However, he is not just an expert in guns, but also an expert
with bladed weapons, staves, and other combat-based weapons.
Just about any weapon Boris can pick up is one he can use in a
fight. While Boris does prefer guns, he will use any weapon he
has to, since he has often had to change up his weapons and
approaches to combat to deal with threats compared to most
fighters. Boris is a highly skilled weapons user, and while he
doesn't have a lot of combat styles other than military combat
to go on, he is still able to use just about any weapon he needs
to to fight an opponent. When using things like swords and
bladed weapons, Boris is very good at combat, and his movements
are hard to predict because he doesn't operate according to a
specific weapon style, making his combat seem much more random.
When it comes to his gun use, he is highly accurate, able to
shoot at distances beyond what most humans can thanks to his
enhanced nanomachines that enhance his senses. Overall, for
Boris, his weapons and gear are usually what determine how
successful he will be, since he is at peak human level, which is
not always good enough to take on stronger supernaturals.
- Russian Supernatural Hunter Training: Exorcism, Weakness and
Trap Knowledge: In order to prepare him for the job at Special
Forces, Boris has been trained in Russian supernatural hunting,
being trained in how to do things like exorcise demons and
angels, use supernatural trap spells and markings, and knowing
as much as he can about supernaturals and gods in general. Boris
has special paper charms developed by other members of Special
Forces which have special wards and traps written on them,
something he can use if he needs to. Boris is highly trained in
Russian Special Forces tactics, knowing a lot about gods,
demi-gods and supernaturals from pantheons, to species, to even
strengths and weaknesses of each race and sub race of power
creatures thanks to specialized training he was given. Boris has
trained heavily in this art, and knows how to take advantage of
weaknesses, but also knowing strengths of certain types of
opponents that he needs to avoid or find a way around. Though
Boris doesn't know everything about every race type, he has
studied a lot of different races.
- Russian Supernatural Hunter and Military Training: Tracking
and Hunting Expert: With his supernatural hunter training, Boris
was also taught how to hunt and track opponents, which is
something he also gained from his military training and his time
in Maverick since the group had to track and find a lot of
targets they were contracted to hunt down. He is able to do very
subtle things, like tell whether a foot print is his target or
not by things like the shape of the boot and how deep the
boot-print is, as well as also being able to tell where his
opponents go thanks to things like walking on plants, and
animals that are unusually silent in one direction. He has a
sense of when opponents are near, as well as usually knowing
which way his opponent is going by signs of their presence
around them. Boris is just as good at tracking as any
supernatural hunter, having trained both in supernatural hunting
and military tracking as well. During his time in other wars, he
learned a lot about how to track opponents when he was
constantly tracking people.
Nanomachine Enhancement and Passive Abilities:
- Nanomachine Enhancement: Nanomachines were heavily used in
Boris's old organization, Maverick, and he too also underwent
nanomachine enhancement in order to keep up with his
organization and more easily coordinate missions. This
enhancement was further upgraded by Doktor when he was set to
join Russian Special Forces. This enhancement uses special
nanomachine tech originally designed by the US government's
black ops, which is made from nano-technology designed to be the
equivalent of putting small computers into the human body. This
has a few different functions, with the biggest being
nanocommunication among those with nanomachine enhancements, and
the nanomachine's regulation of the body. Every enhancement can
be made differently, but typically, the base of these
enhancements are always the same, which are nanomachines
injected into the blood. These nanomachines are usually very low
risk after they were heavily upgraded during a previous
incident, after the original nanomachine enhancements were
hacked and used to control people. Now, the nanomachines are
mostly just used by military personel, or by cyborgs so that
these can be used to help communicate with others more easily
and regulate their bodies.
- Unique Nanomachine Defense Enhancement: This is a unique type
of nanomachine enhancement that Doktor designed specifically for
Boris. After an advanced model of this was used in an incident,
Doktor designed this enhancement to be used by normal
nanomachines, rather than requiring special organs to be
impanted with these. This defense works by using the
nanomachines to harden in response to physical trauma, such as
physical attack or supernatural projectiles, by hardening the
body both inside and out. This defense can harden Boris's body
into metal-level defense. When attacked, Boris has extremely
powerful defense, which was designed so that he would be very
difficult to hurt. This defense enhancement is even bullet
proof, and can even resist bladed weapons to a degree with it's
effectiveness. Because Boris is lower level than many
supernaturals, Boris was given this so that they wouldn't be
able to hurt him, and allow Boris to be useful when he is on
missions. This enhancement is only usuable on normal humans, as
many other cyborgs and supernaturals would have trouble using
this enhancement due to their different physiology, and this
only works on normal humans that are below a certain level.
Because of this, Boris is tougher to damage, but this doesn't
mean he's always going to win every fight. It is also possible
to pierce his body with armor piercing techniques and weapons,
such as heavy caliber armor piercing rounds, or using a high
frequency blade to pierce his defense.
- Nanomachine Tissue Rebuilding: This is a rather simple use of
nanomachines, where they are programmed to fix damage to the
body if it is something that can be fixed. These nanomachines
are programmed with the normal data of those that these
nanomachines are injected into, and the nanomachines can rebuild
damaged tissue in the body. Simply put, this can fix simple
damage and can rebuild tissue in the body as long as the tissue
isn't removed. This is able to fix things like damage from
poisons in the body (such as repairing a stomach ulcer caused by
poison), repair physical damage (such as rebuilding tissue
around a cut or tear in the skin), and can be used to repair
simple damage to organs (like rebuilding scar tissue in certain
organs). This enhancement is not full regeneration, and does
take time, but is still very useful for those with nanomachine
enhancements. Typically, this enhancement is only used on those
without supernatural regeneration, because of the fact that this
enhancement might intefere with supernatural regeneration. This
tissue building also cannot rebuild tissue from nothing, so it
cannot do things like regrow removed pieces of the body, and it
cannot instantly fix issues. Typically, this tissue rebuilding
takes time, depending on the extent of the damage. If the damage
is bad enough, it is possible for someone to die before the
nanomachines can fix the damage, such as a fatal stab to the
heart could kill someone before their nanomachines could fix the
damage. It si also possible that certain injuries might not heal
properly without proper medical treatment, such as some who have
had broken bones that don't heal properly without treatment.
Typically, this just drastically slows down the time recovered,
and doesn't instantly recover like some might believe.
- Unique Nanomachine Enhancement: Gene Cleasor Nanomachines:
This is another unique enhancement for Boris. Since Boris is
human and wants to remain that way, he had Doktor specially
design his nanomachines. In order to keep himself from being
forcibly turned into a supernatural (like a vampire or
werewolf), Boris had this special enhancement made that not only
fused his nanomachine injection with a special gene cleansor,
but gave the nanomachines the function of maintaining his normal
human DNA, preventing abnormal changes done to it. This
enhancement protects Boris, and is able to even counteract
supernatural energies that are put into his body, since this
nanomachine enhancement monitors and regulates his body as
needed. This means that changes cannot be made to Boris's DNA
that aren't programmed to be recognized by the nanomachines as
allowable, and allows Boris's nanomachines to counter certain
supernatural afflictions caused by things like energy poisoning
if it's supernatural in nature. However, this isn't really
useful in battle, other than him being able to counter certain
energy poisonings, and just preventing him from being forcibly
changed. When combined with his body regulation and maintenance
function (more later), this is mostly just a means to keep him
as he is now, for better or worse.
- Nanomachine Autonomic Nervous System Enhancement: This is one
of the major functions of nanomachines, which allow one to
regulate their body through the use of these nanomachines.
Besides using them for communication, this is the major reason
people get this enhancement. When in the blood, the nanomachines
maintain the body as close to it's optimal level as possible,
and enhance the autonomic nervous system (the part that controls
vital functions) very effecitively, doing things like
automatically maintaining someone's blood sugar, or keeping
certain functions of the body suppressed. This function is
designed mostly for combat, in which the nanomachines are meant
to keep someone at peak physical condition for as long as
possible. This enhancement can do things like suppressing pain
(but still allowing the user to know they are hurt), suppressing
fear in dangerous situations, and even slightly allowing them to
ignore fatique. This enhancement can also affect the entric
nervous system which controls digestion to do things like
decrease stomach acid, or help the speed of digestion as needed.
This function is designed to operate from within the body, and
the nanomachines are able to monitor the body without the user
having to do anything. This function is set to the individual
when injected, and the peak level is typically maintained.
However, this cannot substitute certain things, like sleep
(though it can suppress dreams) or proper nutrition), and
sometimes things like pain suppression or letting someone push
themselves even in fatique can cause more harm than good to the
body. Typically, the user has to work with the nanomachines to
keep their bodies in peak physical condition, or else the
nanomachines won't be able to keep up.
- Nanomachine Somatic Nervous System and Reaction Enhancement:
This part of the nanomachine enhancement involves the
nanomachine's effect on the nervous system, in which the nervous
system is also enhanced. Typically, the nervous system in both
movement and reaction is enhanced with nanomachines, in which
this has a few major functions. The first is that the body is
able to move much more quickly when given the signal through
nanomachines, as the nanomachines can give the signal to the
body directly from the brain rather than sending the movement
message to the body. When told to move, the body will move more
easily, which makes the body able to react to incoming danger
much more easily and decreases the time it takes for the body to
do an action requiring a signal from the nervous system. As
such, this leads into the next major purpose of this
enhancement. Because of the ability to move more easily, people
with this enhancement can react much more quickly to danger, as
the brain is also enhanced thanks to this nanomachine
enhancement. By enhancing the brain's reaction time and the
body's response ability, users with this enhancement can react
to danger much more quickly, and avoid danger much more easily.
However, this is not perfect, and movement data from the mind
can conflict with the nanomachines if a user tries to fight the
nanomachine's response. This is also only as good as the mind
and body allows, and doesn't make someone magically able to do
something like dodging lightning speed attacks. Their ability to
react and move is only as good as their bodies allow, and the
nanomachines are more of a tool to help people rather than a
control all solution to avoid danger. This is nothing compared
to real martial artists who learn to react instinctively, and
this is only an imitation of that ability.
- Nanomachine Enhanced Mind and Senses: This is another function
of the nanomachines that enhance the brain. The first is that
the brain's functions are all enhanced by the nanomachines,
including memory, intelligence, creativity and even senses.
Enhancing memory allows a user to recall memories far more
easily, and store memories much more easily. While their
memories of before the enhancement aren't perfect, after they
are enhanced, they are often able to recall their memories far
more easily, and forget far less. When it comes to intelligence
and creativity, this is also fairly self explanatory, as it
enhances the mind's ability to learn and it's creativity in how
it solves problems placed before it. This is very useful in
combat situations, as users of this are able to enhance their
own intelligence, and their abilities as a tactician are
increased. The last enhancement is to the senses, which enhance
normal mortal senses to near supernatural levels. Typically, the
senses are enhanced enough so that they can operate beyond
normal human levels, and operate similar to supernatural
enhanced senses. This enhances all senses normally (with
exceptions depending on the supernatural or human enhanced), and
allows enough enhancement that they can see, hear and smell
better than most humans. This enhancement is more of a passive
enhancement, and doesn't operate like other mind enhancements
that might turn the mind into a computer. This is more just a
simple enhancement of a mortal's normal brain functions. And
like previous enhancements, this enhancement is only as good as
the person who is enhanced with this, and doesn't always make
someone smarter or more creative than others with enhanced
intelligence, and doesn't mean their senses are better than
everyone else's.
- Nanomachine Codec Communication: This is one of the main uses
of the nanomachines, in that the nanomachine codec communication
was designed to operate through the nanomachines when they
connect to the brain. This was designed to allow communication
between those with these communication options, whether as a
group or individually, and works like a cell phone programmed
into the brain. Instead of operating on phone numbers, people
operate on frequencies the codec uses, which can be filtered and
encrypted just like any communication. However, unlike normal
phone communication, this cannot be hacked by normal means, as
the communication operates on special frequencies not able to be
picked up by supernaturals, and these frequencies are usually
very well protected against unwanted interruption after previous
incidents. This works by communicating thoughts through codec,
rather than talking aloud, though some, like cyborgs, can
generate holographic screens around them to oeprate their codec
communication. Typically, this works mind to mind, similar to
supernatural telepathy, and can even replicate supernatural
telepathy to commune with someone with telepathy if they are
allowed access to the frequency the person is operating on. This
can also access non-codec and non-supernatural communications
like phones and video, but this is limited, and has to be sent
through normal communication means which means that it can be
tracked and listened to. Those with this typically use this in
favor of other communication methods, since it is more reliable
and allows for one to communicate without physically talking to
one another.
- Nanomachine Brain Regulation/Maintenance: Thanks to the
nanomachines in the body, a nanomachine-enhanced person's
nanomachines keep a constant status maintenance on the mind,
thanks to the nanomachines being designed to suppress certain
functions of the body and regulate the mind and body. This
allows the user to protect their mind from psychic beings that
try to influence their mind with things like mind alterations,
and helps prevent special psychic powers from influencing the
body or mind by keeping the body in what it refers to as a
"normal" state. This state usually does things like suppress
fear, suppress pain but register injuries, and even being able
to keep certain emotions suppressed that might interfere with
their battles or daily life. This mind protection can also be
altered to suppress certain other emotions, depending on what
it's user wants. This protection is a result of the nanomachines
maintaining the mind, and can be used to suppress emotions
someone deems a hinderance, such as some people who focus out
battle rage, or certain adrenaline rushes that might hinder them
in battle.
- Nanomachine Anti-Tech Psychic Defense/Anti-Tech Disruption/EMP
Resistance: After the incident with Hyperion, Ragnorok and
Special Forces started working on anti-tech disruption
softwarefor resistance to technology manipulators (like
technology psychics), and put special infused energy generation
in each Ragnorok member's nanomachines, which generates an
anti-tech wave that prevents tech disruption devices and powers
from affected those with nanomachines and cybernetic upgrades.
This was also designed to keep people like Dr. Genus originally
from accessing the nanomachines and cybernetics he had access to
with Ragnorok in order to prevent Dr. Genus from taking control
of any Ragnorok or Special Forces cybernetic enhanced people. As
such, this makes it so that tech psychics and other technology
disruption abilities don't work on anyone with this upgrade, and
is even resistant to EMP through the tech being designed with
nano-tech upgrades that help grant high resistance to EMP waves,
which requires a massive and condensed EMP to even affect this
upgrade. This is typically not a big deal for most Special
Forces since they are still very tough and are not upgraded to
the extent that most cybernetics users are, as some of them just
have nanomachines running through them and if they lose the
effects, they just revert to their normal human level, and have
to fight using their normal human level stats (which usually
isn't a problem for most Special Forces members).
- Nanomachine Anti-Hack and Anti-Virus System: The newest
nanomachine enhancements have the latest in anti-hack and
anti-virus systems, making those with these defenses very
difficult to hack or infect with computer viruses. While they
can be affected by some unknown viruses or tech hack systems,
they are easily able to overcome this with some effort. While
tech control users can make them stop in their tracks with
enough concentration, those with these upgrades do gain
resistances. And thanks to special backups and controls,
overrides set up by Doktor were designed to be used if someone
with these nanomachines were hacked or controlled. If someone
does manage to hit someone Special Forces has granted this
enhancement to with an unknown virus or tech control, they can
use their nanomachines to sense the virus or tech control and
use their nanomachine system to fight the virus or presence
trying to take control of them. With the nanomachine's
specifications, tech control, hacking and viruses are mostly
useless against this tech, and those that aren't are usually
overcome quickly. Those with this enhancement always have to
keep up with their protections from these threats, always being
updated regularly with new known virus and hacking counters to
avoid them from being overcome by new tech or abilities.
- Enhanced Natural Human Combat Potential: Despite being human,
Boris's combat ability and physical combat ability are far above
most normal people thanks to his enhanced military combat
training he's done, and a somewhat strange body that is stronger
than normal bodies. Boris was born with a strange genetic
structure, where his muscles and skin were stronger than a
normal human's. While not at supernatural level, Boris's body is
a bit stronger than that of a normal human, and what looks like
fat on his body is actually pure muscle. Boris doesn't look able
to keep up with tough fighters, but he is still a very tough
fighter in his own right. Boris has a natural combat ability
that many humans aren't born with, and has a major edge in
defense, strength and speed that many normal humans wouldn't
have. While Boris isn't quite up at supernatural levels with his
slightly enhanced physiology, it does make him stronger than an
average human. It is worth noting that he doesn't have a
supernatural body, and his somewhat strange physiology doesn't
put him at supernatural levels on it's own, but when combined
with his training, he is able to keep up with some supernaturals
in combat. Though it's mostly through his nanomachine
enhancement that allows him to do this.
- Human Ki Immunity to Stilled Silver, Varanium and Oceanstone:
Because Boris is a normal human, Boris is not at all vulnerable
to stilled silver, varanium or oceanstone, because he has
absolutely no supernatural abilities. While he does have
nanomachines that grant certain advantages, he doesn't have any
supernatural abilities, so stilled silver has no effect on him
at all, and cannot be used against him in pretty much any way.
When it comes to varanium, Boris has no supernatural
regeneration, and the closest to it that he has is nanomachine
tissue rebuilding, which is tech based. While Boris's
nanomachines wouldn't be able to do this if their functions are
interrupted, varanium is not able to do this on it's own. Very
rarely does any kind of regeneration negation work on him since
he recovers like a normal human. Oceanstone is fairly obvious,
since Boris is not a god or demi-god, and has no supernatural
power from any god pantheon, he is not vulnerable to oceanstone.
This doesn't just apply to the metals though, as this also works
against anything that replicates the effects of these metals,
like power negation or regeneration negation abilities. None of
these are able to affect Boris, and would only affect him if he
gained supernatural abilities somehow, which would pretty much
be a whole other problem.
- Multi-Lingual and Language Expert: While Boris doesn't speak a
lot of dead languages, he does speak a number of languages
including English and Russian as his first langages, with
secondary languages of French, Spanish, Portugese, Italian,
German, Russian, Chinese, Mongolian, Mandarin, Hebrew, and
Japanese. During his time in Maverick, Boris has had to learn a
lot of different languages to learn to communicate with people
he's had to work with and work in other parts of the world, or
help during his time in organizations like Maverick. As such, he
knows many of the languages spoken in the world currently, and
knows a lot of languages most people wouldn't think would be
important. Due to this, he is very good at learning new
languages, and studies any langauge he has to. Thanks to his
higher IQ, he is very good at learning, and can learn new
languages mostly by picking up words spoken rather than just
simply reading words.
- Enhanced Combat and Slightly Enhanced Nanomachine Physical
Stats: While not at higher supernatural levels, Boris is someone
who can easily hold his own against many opponents. With his
training in combat, Boris is someone who could fight off an
entire group of supernaturals, and could fight some higher level
supernaturals with the right gear. While Boris isn't at too high
of a level compared to other enhanced humans, he is beyond
normal peak human levels, and can hold his own thanks to his
enhanced combat training and his nanomachine enhancement. Thanks
to this, his main strengths in battle are power and defense,
with his combat training also making him faster and more agile
than normal humans. Boris is also very experienced in fights,
and knows the best ways to fight many opponents thanks to the
years he's spent in organizations like Maverick. Boris is
someone who doesn't always lead from behind the scenes, and will
often fight alongside his allies when he's needed to. However,
the only real thing to note is that he is only as good as the
gear and nanomachines he uses, since he is not actually someone
who is meant to do the heavy work, but more just a leader.

Weaknesses:
- As mentioned, Boris is a normal human. Just like any normal
human, he is easily killable if one can strike a vital that
can't be fixed by his nanomachines. The hardest part of beating
Boris is getting through his nanomachines, which is really the
only real defense he has against supernaturals beyond his combat
training and any gear he might have on him. If one could get
through his powerful defense and could beat him in combat, then
they could probably kill him, because he is not on the same
levels as higher level supernaturals. And if somehow his
nanomachines are disabled, then he would return to his normal
peak human condition. Overall, Boris is more of a leader than a
fighter, and even though he can hold his own, he usually only
goes to the field when he's needed, and usually has gear to help
substitute for him not being at the same level as most of the
people he's worked with.
Personality: Boris is a natural leader, and great at getting
people to follow him. Boris usually is very light-hearted, being
someone who doesn't try to be overly forceful unless the
situation requires it. Typically, Boris is far more reserved
than people like Dragunov and Viktor, and tries not to have to
be serious unless he has to be. However, when needed (usually
during missions), he can be serious, and unlike many with strong
senses of humor, Boris is good at knowing when the time is right
vs when he needs to be serious. He is also the type of person
that leads by example, and typically doesn't get harsh on people
for doing something he would do. A major aspect of Boris's
leadership is that sometimes he will bend the rules if he feels
it's appropriate, such as when he helped his friend Jack
"Raiden" in a mission despite Raiden doing unlawful actions
because Jack was trying to save innocent people. Boris is
someone that also isn't afraid to go to the field and lead at
the front of a battle, rather than being like some leaders who
hide behind the people who work for them. Boris is someone who
isn't afraid to do what he has to do, but overall, he does what
he thinks is right, and sticks to that, even if he has to break
the rules do what he feels is right. In battle, Boris is an
extremely smart person, and a great tactician when planning
missions. In battles, he can be pretty light-hearted, even when
being completely serious, mostly because he tries not to let
himself be clouded by stress of missions. However, when the time
comes, he can be very serious, and usually will strike a balance
between humor and seriousness, in which he will usually allow
people to be cocky or arrogant at home, but usually has them
keep it in check during missions or when working with Special
Forces.
Bio: Not much is known of Boris's history. Boris was a pretty
standard human, born to a normal family. Boris eventually got
involved with Jack "Raiden" when he was going up against an
organization known as Desperado who was trying to start a world
war. During this time, Boris was heading a group called
Maverick, which was a private security firm that mostly did body
guard work. During his time with Maverick, he acted as the
leader of the organization, up till he had the group disbanded a
few years ago. After that, he had been doing some work heading
some Russian military groups, and working with Special Forces.
After the incident with Dragunov and Viktor being taken out of
commission by the Triam Trio, Boris was set to act as temporary
leader until they were fully able to resume responsibility, and
Boris spent the last few months getting caught up on what's been
going on with Special Forces and the battles they've been
fighting. Due to his history with Doktor who spoke pretty well
about him, and Boris's friendship with Dragunov, Boris was a top
pick for temporary leader, and Boris has spent the last few
months preparing, even undergoing new training and a new
nanomachine enhancement in order to help Special Forces and help
lead the group effectively.
