Bartender: The divine dragons were all destroyed during the
Religion Wars while Onaga was gaining power in the Land of
Dragons... Their power now rests with the Dragon King.
Vin: Um... Who is this dragon king? I don't think I've heard Ryu
talk about any brothers... Though I think I remember someone
saying he had one.
Bartender: He did have a brother. His brother is King Hei Long.
He's a strict but fair ruler.

V: Why does that sound so familiar...
V mumble more to herself than to the bartender. It sucks that
Veldora died. She really liked talking to him. Then something
made V make one of her stern faces.
V: What happened exactly? Why was there a religion war in the
first place?

Bartender: In the early 2000s, religions became a huge source of
conflict. Things started getting out of control when alternate
dimension gods started appearing. The wars continued for years
after that until they were eventually stopped by the Olympian
demi-gods. The first Religion Wars came during the early 2000s,
but the second Religion Wars came during the 2080s due to even
more conflict that arose. It was after the second Religion wars
that the demi-gods basically turned terrorist against Black
Sun's rule.
Ranga runs over to V after opening the door and sniffing
outside. Ranga: Master! More of those metal things are coming!
There's a lot of them this time and they're coming from all
directions!
Vin: Wait... How did they find us?!
Dark Vin: Does it matter? We need to leave before they arrive!

The bartender sighs a bit. Bartender: I'm sorry... If he found
out that I was helping someone who is trying to avoid the
cops... It wouldn't just be me who suffers, they'd kill my
family too. Though it wasn't clear who "he" was in this
circumstance, one thing was clear that he was willing to betray
V if it meant keeping his family safe.
Vin: We should leave before they get here! If they surround us
we're screwed! She says as she and Dark Vin jump on Ranga.

V's harden eyes soften a little. This future is more grim than
she thought. She needs to find answers and a way back home fast.
But for now, she needs a plan.
V: Tell me this real quick: Where can I find the Dragon King?

The bartender looks to V and hesitates a bit before answering.
Bartender: He's usually in the Dragon Palace at the center of
town... When he's not handling torturing and execution of
criminals... He says, not sure how much he should say.
Vin: Wait... Torturing of criminals?! That's... What the hell?!
She says, lost for words. I get execution... I don't like it,
but I get the whole death penalty for killing people thing...
But torturing? Isn't that against the law?
Bartender: That's why our cities are able to thrive. It's why
crime is almost non-existent even in the slums of the city...
It's because what awaits them is usually a fate worse than
death. The ones executed are the lucky ones.
Dark Vin: Dark. She says simply in response.

V: And I accidentally committed one of the biggest crimes.
V pulled a few golden drachmas coins out of her right pocket and
place them on the bar table counter.
V: I'm pretty positive that both mundane and supernatural
currency hasn't changed. So I'll give them to you. I promise to
make it up to you once everything's clear.
With that, V darted to where Ranga is and start mounting on him.
V: Okay, center of town here we come. You still up to full
speed, buddy?

The bartender takes the coins and throws them back to V.
Bartender: Money like coins and paper aren't worth anything
except for collectors. I've already caused you enough grief...
So I won't bother trying to charge you.\
Ranga looks to V as she gets on. Ranga: I'm always ready.

V use her electromagnetic ability to draw the coins toward her.
Understanding what the bartender meant, she put the coins back
into her pocket.
V: Okay then. Let's get the hell out of here, big guy!
