in your place, I still might! You're one of my demons and you
know what I do to demons who disobey me! He says to Kendrix.
Kendrix: Crowley... Don't be so tense. But, if you want to make
a deal... Then let's make a deal. He says as he sits down. He
starts sipping his drink. It wasn't anything personal, Lu. I
wasn't trying to steal your customers. After all, they're all
going to the same place, well, most of them at least. I'm just
trying to get as many souls as I can before this world dies, and
I made a deal to stockpile some souls to keep Hell running after
this world is gone. Surely you've heard... This rock has about
20 years left in it at best, then it will be unable to sustain
life if nothing is done in that time. Either they'll move to
space, or they'll have to find a way to fix this planet, neither
of which have worked so far.

Lucifer: Crowley give the kid a chance. He’s young and still
mouthy. He takes another drink Now as for business. Lux is a
reputable name. It earned a lot of fame in LA and now that i’ve
expanded here we’ve become even more popular in the recent years
up until the last few months when you arrived on the scene.
Let’s be honest here we’re all working towards the same goal.
Why not make a partnership. Tie yourself and your business to a
name everyone already knows and trusts. A solid endorsement of
what you’re doing here if you ask me.

Kendrix: I'm afraid I can't do that, Lu... I'm already tied to
another brand. One just as recognizable as yours. I've already
been endorsed and everything. Tell you what though... I don't
mind sharing the hell-bound souls that I have. So if you truly
want, I can send some souls your way.

Kendrix: So, Lu... I can't do that. It's nothing personal. Just
business. Trust me... Crowley and Maze don't scare me. Even if
they could capture me. They've got talent, but then, so do I. If
I rebrand, then I'd be going against the deal I made to endorse
this place, and that was no easy deal to make. And dear Crowley
always taught me to follow through on my deals to the end.
Crowley: That's true... I did teach him that. He says with a
sigh. But still... Why go against us?
Kendrix: It wasn't something I wanted to do, but the closing the
gates of Hell hurt us a lot worse than you think. I had to make
some deals I'm not entirely proud of to keep a flow of souls
coming in so that my demons literally don't start eating each
other.

Kendrix's gaze turns serious as he looks to Lucifer. Not in a
threatening way, but more in a way that shows that he's taking
what he's about to say seriously. Kendrix: This isn't just about
souls, Lu... Hell is literally tearing itself apart with
everyone being trapped there. You made it clear you gave up on
Hell long ago, so I'm doing what I have to do in order to make
sure Hell survives if this world goes down. And I'm afraid I
needed the help of someone who knows the multiverse, something
you couldn't help me with if you wanted to.

Lucifer: I gave up. That’s what you lot think of me? I got
bored. You can’t lie and say Hell is the most interesting place
to be. That was years ago though, and I left someone reasonable
in charge. You can’t plane me for getting stuck here when the
gates closed before I could come back. I’ve tried to get back
but unfortunately I don’t have the ability like you do to go
la-di- fu*king-da-ing across the whole damn multiverse. Kinda
what you’re stuck with when dear old dad gives you the big screw
you in life.

you couldn't help me with what I needed help with. I needed
someone who had a specific knowledge and set of skills... That's
all. He says before drinking again. I can't imagine Heaven is in
a much better place right now either with your dear old father.
You wouldn't have been able to help me with. If I had thought
you could fix things, I'd have talked to you and Crowley first.
But this is about far more than just souls.

Lucifer: Kendrix I understand what you’re trying to do here.
Believe me I get it, but the reality is it’s no use. My old man
doesn’t care. He’s pulled the plug. He’s waiting for this place
to flatline so he can move on to something better. Besides, I
didn’t know being left to look after the place meant make
decisions without consulting us.
