RP Profile: Dr. Kyouma
By: Zorbak the Ebil Moglin Date: July 29, 2019, 11:42 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
"I'm not a scientist! Laughs evilly. I am a MAD scientist! Know
the difference!" - Dr. Kyouma
"I am not Rinji Shinzaku! You must not use that name in public
or my cover will be blown, lest the Organization find out I am
here! You must always refer to me as Dr. Hououin Kyouma!" - Dr.
Kyouma during one of his paranoid moments.
"All evil geniuses obscure their true intentions... It's in
their nature!" - Dr. Kyouma about mad scientists after someone
mentioned his plan sounded more complicated than it was.
During the first time Kalinka Cossack met Dr. Kyouma.
Dr. Kyouma: You shall be lab member 002 and 003! Robot man and
Programmer!
Kalinka: Programmer? That's nice, but I'm already part of my
dad's... She tries to say and finish that she's part of Dr.
Cossack's lab, but is stopped by her father.
Dr. Cossack: Just let the doctor be himself... He's... kinda got
a few screws loose if you know what I mean. He whispers to
Kalinka.
Kalinka: Wait... Is it safe for him to be here then? What if he
does something like blow up the building? She asks out of
concern.
Dr. Cossack: Why do you think we give him the old science lab
building? It's so he doesn't hurt anyone if he does blow up the
lab since he's usually here alone... He says with a sigh.
Kalinka: Wasn't the old lab your old house? She asks in
confusion.
Dr. Kyouma: Yes! He says in a dramatic voice But he saw how
useful it would be to me and allowed me to make it my mad
scientist lair! He says with a laugh.
Kalinka: Who thought this was a good idea? She asks Dr. Cossack.
Dr. Cossack: Blame Sergei. It's all his fault. He says somewhat
jokingly.
Dr. Kyouma: Sergei saw my genius and chose to let me be the head
scientist of this lab to develop our 'secret weapons'!
Kalinka: No offense, Dr. Kyouma... But Sergei wouldn't know a
good science project if it literally blew up in his face... She
says with a sigh.
Dr. Cossack: And... that's why he's still here. Because Sergei
trusts his scientific mind.
Kalinka: But... Sergei doesn't know anything... about science...
Does he?
Dr. Cossack: And that's why.... he thinks this is a good idea...
Because he doesn't know better.
Kalinka: But he was the really the one that made oceanstone
right? So that's gotta account for something.
Dr. Cossack: Oh he's smart... Don't get me wrong... He's just a
complete nutcase.
During a conversation with Doktor.
Dr. Kyouma: Henceforth you are inducted into my lab, Doktor...
You shall be 004, code-named "Old One" and you shall be my new
assistant! He says as he laughs evilly.
Doktor: WHAT?! If anyzing, I am ze doctor and YOU are ze
assistant! How could you think you are above me! He says
angrily.
Dr. Kyouma: It's my lab, Doktor! Here, I am the mad scientist
and you are my assistant!
Doktor: And if we were in my lab, then you would be MY
assistant?
Dr. Kyouma: Of course... If I joined you first then I'd be your
assistant, but you've been inducted into my lab first! He says
with a laugh.
Doktor: What?! I have my own lab! I am the lord of the labs
here! Even yours!
Dr. Kyouma: Smiles. That's just what I want the Organization to
think! I am the real brains behind this group.
Doktor: I just... Ugh... Swears in German and leaves the lab. He
stops at the door as a thought occurs. Wait... Did you zay I'm
004? Who are ze other two members if you're 001? He asks in
curiosity.
Dr. Kyouma: Oh... Dr. Cossack and Kalinka offered to join my
lab! Kalinka agreed to be my assistant! He says with a laugh.
Doktor: Wait... You made them members before you even considered
me? How ze hell does that happen?! I'm the greatest scientific
mind in zis country! He says angrily as he stomps out of the
lab, swearing in German again.
During a conversation with Viktor.
Viktor: So how's progress?
Dr. Kyouma: Well... Certain things have prevented steady
progress on the new metals... He says reluctantly.
Viktor: I thought you'd said you'd be done by now!
Dr. Kyouma: Mad science cannot be rushed, Viktor! I'm making
more than just science, this is art! He says, doing his dramatic
voice.
Viktor: Hard to believe you're the guy behind the oceanstone...
He says with a sigh.
Dr. Kyouma: Don't say that out loud! It was "Dr. Cossack" who
made it! Do you WANT to give me away to the Organization? He
says angrily.
Viktor: WHAT ORGANIZATION? He says angrily.
Dr. Kyouma: They are everywhere... and nowhere... He says in a
sinister drama voice.
Viktor: I'm guessing everywhere in your brain, and nowhere in
reality... He says sarcastically.
Dr. Kyouma: They controlled Black Sun and Hyperion... They even
made us think we were free from them by removing Black Sun and
Hyperion... But the TRUE group behind everything still lingers
in the world! He says as Viktor doubts him.
Viktor: Okay, lunatic... He says as he walks out of the lab.
Real Name: Dr. Rinji Shinzaku
Alias/Preferred Name: Dr. Kyouma
Age: Unknown
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Hunter Group/Team: Russian Special Forces
Weapons:
- None (He doesn't fight so he doesn't need weapons)
Passive Skills/Science Knowledge:
- Enhanced Genius IQ/Inventor: Dr. Kyouma is a genius level
intellect, who is one of the smartest people in Russian Special
Forces, alongside Doktor and Dr. Cossack. Dr. Kyouma is an
inventor, who loves to invent new items and weapons for Special
Forces. Not many people know him, as he keeps himself secret
from an organization he believes is after him that may or may
not be real (most likely not due to his partially delusional
nature). Dr. Kyouma loves his job, and loves inventing, finding
new ways to defy pre-established knowledge in any way he can.
Dr. Kyouma is not only a master chemist, but he is also a master
biologist and geologist. He has studied many sciences, knowing
more than most scientists who specialize in singular fields. For
the most part, chemistry and supernatural sciences are his two
main sciences and has even studied other mythologies to learn
different pantheon's myths around metals and learn how to draw
out certain properties of materials that most people wouldn't
know is something that could be done, such as when he turned a
special type of stone that weakens gods and used it to create
oceanstone (He is the actual inventor of this, not Dr. Cossack
as Dr. Kyouma doesn't take credit for his own inventions).
- Supernatural Sciences Expert: Despite the field not being too
wide, there are some scientists that study the supernatural, and
study their abilities and powers from a scientific standpoint.
This science seeks to understand even things like magic in order
to explain how they operate using scientific reasoning, such as
determining the main things that power supernatural abilities
and how supernatural energies interact with the environment
around them. Dr. Kyouma is one of the people who studies
supernaturals, and as even studied his own variation in this
field to understand the energies of the world, and how those
energies interact with each other from not just a physics
standpoint, but from the supernatural standpoints, such as
understanding how spirits that govern the world work, and how
supernaturals use that in their supernatural abilities. This has
also led to research in using these supernatural aspects in
science, similar to how the plasmites were developed to grant
supernatural abilities to humans artificially. Dr. Kyouma is
very skilled in this research, knowing a lot about it since he
was one of the first people to start researching supernaturals
after they were revealed on a global scale.
- Pantheon/Mythical Material Expert: In order to figure out new
materials and how to make certain supernatural metals interact,
Dr. Kyouma has studied almost all godly pantheon's mythologies,
whether true or not, and has become an expert on these so that
he can better understand certain materials. From this, he has
learned about a number of godly pantheon materials and items,
and even started studying how these objects work as well as
learning to reproduce certain objects and powers through study.
He has learned to produce metals based on their chemical makeup,
and mythologies about how they are formed, learning how to
create weapons and items to help Special Forces that many other
groups wouldn't have access to. Dr. Kyouma uses this in his work
as an inventor, and learns to use all kinds of things from
mythologies, such as how to carve runes into objects, and how to
even refine certain metals through learning to refine certain
things into more powerful materials, such as a time he refined
varanium into a stronger type of varanium while trying to
convert it to a new metal. Dr. Kyouma has studied almost every
pantheon and the items in those pantheons, knowing most of the
pantheons, including things not commonly known like having had a
chance to study the manna of heaven (bread used to feed angels
and the righteous).
- Supernatural Hunting, Trap, Weaknesses, and Exorcism Expert:
After reading and being taught everything about almost every
kind of supernatural during his time with Special Forces, Dr.
Kyouma is an expert in almost every supernatural hunting trick
that he has been able to learn, from angel traps, to demon
traps, and even how to exorcise creatures like demons and gods.
Just like many other supernatural hunters (though Dr. Kyouma
isn't a hunter himself), he has taken advantage of this
knowledge to learn everything he can about supernaturals and how
to fight them, specifically learning how to use things against
supernaturals so he can invent new weapons and items to help
supernatural hunters more easily overcome difficult situations.
Thanks to this, Dr. Kyouma has done things like made demon trap
bullets by carving demon traps on the bullet and filling the tip
with salt, or even carving exorcisms into items to use on
certain other creatures. Dr. Kyouma doesn't use most of these
items himself, and mostly just uses them to make items for other
supernatural hunters in Special Forces to use, including things
like even replicating a pulse generator used by the British Men
of Letters that sends out a pulse to force angels out of hosts.
Thanks to this training, Dr. Kyouma's supernatural knowledge is
even higher, and he knows how to take advantage of strengths and
weaknesses of supernaturals, gods and even some primordial
creatures.
- Tech Expert/Tech Inventor: Another aspect of his job, Dr.
Kyouma is up to date with all of the current tech in the world,
and has even developed certain new technology as part of his
job. This has included things like building new refining tech to
allow him to more easily refine metals, and things like tech
that can analyze objects more easily. While not as knowledgeable
about things like cybernetics as Doktor, Dr. Kyouma still knows
how most technology works, and knows most of the benefits and
downsides to most technology. He is the type of person that
knows how to use almost any piece of technology, from human to
even certain alien technology he's come across (though some
things he hasn't learned as of yet). Thanks to this, this has
helped Dr. Kyouma immensely in his quest to develop new items,
and has led to Dr. Kyouma developing better tech that can be
used by Special Forces, such as the hibernation capsules he had
designed previously that were used when Vin and Rei were
poisoned. Much of his advanced tech is not used outside of
Special Forces, though some of his items created have had their
data make it's way to certain other groups like Ragnorok,
Hyperion and Black Sun (usually when these groups hack Special
Forces or find out about items in some way). Thanks to this, Dr.
Kyouma also even knows how Dr. Cossack and Kalinka program
robots, and how they want to make supernatural hunter robots to
help out Special Forces, to which Dr. Kyouma has even tried to
help them out at times.
- Multi-Linguist: Dr. Kyouma is Japanese, with his first
languages being English and Japanese. Dr. Kyouma has also
studied ancient languages, having to learn multiple languages
due to having to find information in many different languages,
which has led to him learning a number of languages, including a
lot of dead languages like Biblical Hebrew, Enochian, Latin, and
other languages that aren't used anymore. He does speak a number
of languages including English and Japanese as his first
languages, with secondary languages of French, Spanish,
Portuguese, Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, Mongolian,
Mandarin, and many others. Due to the amount of research he has
had to find in other languages, and the people he's had to
interact with, he knows many different languages, and even
learned Russian when he joined Special Forces so that he could
more easily communicate with them. Kyouma is one that can easily
learn new languages, having learned most of the master language
families (the language families are the sort of "master
languages" that spawn many others). This isn't an intentional
specialty, just something that has helped his research a lot in
the past, due to how many different languages he's had to read
things in.
- Enhanced Senses: Due to the work he's had to take on and the
things he has to due to keep his work going, Dr. Kyouma's senses
are highly enhanced from his work, in which he is able to see,
hear and smell more sensitively than most people. While it's
often not clear what he's perceiving with his somewhat
delusional nature, his senses are still above that of average
humans thanks to the focus he's put into his work. This has led
him to have enhanced perception, and being able to process
information in his mind faster by training his mind to react
more quickly to stimuli in his workplace, such as being able to
even react to a spark and avoid getting blown up (which has
almost happened on a few occasions). His reflexes have become
highly enhanced, and he has become difficult to surprise due to
his enhanced hearing and smell, in which he can often tell when
other people or creatures are nearby, unless they are able to
completely suppress all aspects of their presence. This isn't
really too useful outside of the lab, but more just helps him do
his work more easily, and helps keep him from missing certain
aspects of his work that might come back to haunt him, most
often things that literally could explode in his face.
- Peak Human Physical Condition: Despite not being a fighter,
Dr. Kyouma is in peak physical condition for a human. while not
at supernatural levels, Dr. Kyouma is a very physically active
person, despite the fact that most see him as someone who never
leaves the labs. For Dr. Kyouma, he is not enhanced in any way
beyond a normal human, and is mostly just in peak physical
condition, with him being able to keep up with most of his
peers. Due to him needing precision and needing to physically do
a lot in his labs, he has to remain in peak condition, since he
has no assistants of his own, and he does all of his work
himself with a few exceptions. Overall, Dr. Kyouma is not at the
levels of combatants or supernaturals, but he is strong enough
that he can do most of his own work, from moving heavy stuff
around that would be too heavy for a lot of other humans, and do
work that requires precise movement such as connecting wires in
a device that requires absolute precision.
Transformations:
- None
Weaknesses:
- Dr. Kyouma is not a fighter at all. Outside of working in his
labs, he'd be useless in a fight, and would probably die if he
tried to fight a supernatural. He is a genius inventor, but he
is mostly a behind-the-scenes kind of person, who doesn't really
like to reveal himself to others. Dr. Kyouma is purely human,
and can be killed just like any human can. Dr. Kyouma is pretty
much a standard human, and he has no enhancements or anything
that would help him in a fight, which means that he could die
just as easily as any human. This means that just about anything
that would kill a human will kill Dr. Kyouma, and thanks to not
being a fighter, he'd probably not survive a fight if he had to
fight since he doesn't ever fight and isn't interested in
fighting.
- Dr. Kyouma's delusional nature tends to cause problems at
times, in which his nature can cause him to doubt things, and
even give up on certain projects simply due to his delusional
nature that something cannot be done. Sometimes he has given up
on projects he deemed impossible, but found solutions to them
later, and this has led to some pretty serious depression when
certain things go wrong in his life. Due to him mostly working
alone, he tends to be a bit unstable at times, and if he goes
into a depressed state upon the failure of a project, he
sometimes goes for weeks to months at a time with no progress on
any of his projects.
Personality: Most would call Dr. Kyouma a very strange person.
Dr. Kyouma often seems very delusional at times, talking about
secret organizations, and may seem overly paranoid at times, but
he is still an extremely smart person, and one of the smartest
inventors Special Forces has. Despite seeming like a crazy mad
scientist, Dr. Kyouma is a pretty good person, and he usually is
pretty nice to everyone. Dr. Kyouma usually stays to himself,
inventing in his own little lab that was given to him, and
usually doesn't get out of the lab much, as he's even made his
home in his lab. He considers himself a mad scientist, and seems
to be intentionally crazy at times, but overall, he tends to be
a pretty good person who will go out of his way to help others
if he can. However, there can be times where trouble sends him
into depression, in this is usually his biggest weakness when
working on projects, as he's scrapped projects he's considered
"impossible" even though he found out later they were possible.
Bio: Not many people know Dr. Kyouma's real name, and those that
do are sworn never to say it. Dr. Kyouma has always been a very
smart person, and after he graduated college, he got into
theoretical physics and other hypothetical sciences to attempt
to prove certain things were possible despite conventional
wisdom. However, as he continued working on projects, people
started to see how unstable he got, talking about organizations
coming after him, and talking on his phone to no one. It didn't
take long before the lab he was employed with tried to have him
committed to a psych ward when they realized how bad it was.
However, Dr. Kyouma knew enough about what he was doing that he
wasn't considered crazy, and let go. However, he was soon fired
by the company who got tired of paying for his crazy projects.
Afterward, he found an apartment and started doing his own work.
At some point, he found Dragonuv, who was on in Japan at the
time. After meeting Kyouma and seeing his lab, Dragunov offered
Kyouma a lab at Special Forces, so that Kyouma could help invent
new things to help with supernatural hunting, after some of
Kyouma's projects and studies appeared to be quite useful.
Dragunov, despite not knowing anything about science related
topics, and not really understanding a lot of science stuff,
knew that Kyouma was smarter than he appeared, and hired him as
an inventor of new weapons and tech for Special Forces. In his
time, Dr. Kyouma has invented a number of weapons and objects,
including developing oceanstone, and a few other metals that
were useful for certain things. However, he never took credit
for these creations, and had Dr. Cossack take credit for
creating the things Kyouma did, so that Kyouma's inventing could
remain secret. Dr. Kyouma has been working for Special Forces
for a few years now, and ever since, he has slowly built up
things for Special Forces, including working on a new dragon
hunter metal that could be used to fight Onaga should he return.
