30XX WIP: Dr. James Richards

"You talk a lot of sh*t for someone who's already lost." - Dr.
James Richards
"I heard you had enhanced strength. Where was it in this
battle?"
"I'll pave a new world with your bones." - Dr. Richards to an
enemy group
"I suppose I'll just have to accept that you people will always
be barbarians first."
"You'll serve me once I've dismantled you."
"Any good doctor who makes a monster must be able to shut it
down."
"If you could think 12 steps ahead of me like you claim, then
you'd know how screwed you are."
"I am one of the pillars of the Olympus Organization. Unseen and
absolute."
"Even your enemies have their uses." - Dr. Richards to an ally
he didn't like
"Face me. And I will make you the architect of your own
destruction."
"You think your power is complex, but I've already analyzed it.
And added its data to my collection."
"My cyphers are the most advanced of any scientist in this day
and age. No one cracks my codes."
"I do not fight. I don't need to. All I need to do is analyze
you and then disable you. No violence needed."
"Humans haven't evolved beyond apes, even after all these years.
We are still just monkeys with fancy tech."
"Don't waggle your weapons at me. If I want to deal with your
weapons, I'd take them from you and stab you with them."
"So, my creation goes by the name 'Vin' now? Interesting. This
gives me an idea. Vin. Vinette... Vinette Black... Yes. I'm
going to get started." - Dr. Richards when he found out Vendetta
named Vin and had an idea for an upgraded version of Vin.
"The girl Vendetta calls Vin is my finest work, and I will not
have you disrespecting her. I designed her with endless
evolutionary potential. Not even she is aware of what I've given
her in her design. It goes beyond anything you put into the
design." - Dr. Richards to Natalya.
"I'm a bit upset that Vin was lost so easily. Anton, do you have
any idea how much effort I put into her design? Studying
Vendetta and designing a clone of her was not as easy as you all
seem to think. Let alone modifying that clone. Natalya did help,
but the design was mine."
"My cypher will make it impossible for anyone to hack our code.
Not because it's smart, but because it's random. There is no
method to the madness in how it disguises our code. That will
make it impossible for our enemies to predict. We will also make
it so that it constantly rewrites the cypher, so no amount of
learning my cypher will help them." - Dr. Richards about his
coding.
"People misunderstand evolution. They think that we grow
stronger and more capable of battle. But in reality, it is the
opposite. As we evolve, it is not about learning to fight
better, or gain abilities to use in battle. It is about evolving
so that we no longer need to battle. When humanity evolves, they
will do so in a way where fighting is no longer necessary to
advance our species. Instead, we will become smarter and solve
our problems with intelligence over brute force. That's the
problem with the Olympus Organization. They believe violence is
necessary, but it is not. That is why I will show them that they
do not understand evolution as well they think they do."
During a fight with an enemy.
Enemy: I'll kill you. You're nothing but another monster.
Dr. Richards just stands in front of the enemy silently and
silently as the enemy holds their weapon to Dr. Richard's
throat.
Without warning, the enemy falls to the ground, nauseated and
disoriented.
Enemy: What the hell? You aren't even doing anything! He says as
he can't get up.
Dr. Richards leans down and looks the enemy in the eyes.
Dr. Richards: Weren't you supposed to kill me? I guess this
"monster" lives another day. He says sarcastically.
(Note: Dr. Richards has control over many frequencies that
disorient and affect the mind if they are heard even though
people can't hear the frequency he uses using his cybernetics.)
During a fight with an enemy.
Dr. Richards: I've already negated your powers. He says as he
releases a frequency that counters the enemy's powers and makes
it so they can't focus their powers without the frequency
dispelling the power.
Enemy: Then I'll just punch you! He says as he goes to attack.
Dr. Richards catches the attack easily with his enhanced
strength, barely flinching at all. He then sighs.
Dr. Richards: Spoken like a true brute. That's all people are in
the end. When your first method fails, you resort to violence.
It's all our species knows.
Dr. Richards unleashes the energy he absorbed from the enemy and
interrupts the enemy's nervous system, which paralyzes the
enemy.
Dr. Richards: Now. It seems I'll have to educate you.
When one of the Olympus Organization members tried to rebel
against Dr. Richards.
Olympus Organization Member: You're not out to evolve humanity.
You're out to control them! He says, realizing what Dr. Richards
was planning.
Dr. Richards turns to face the Olympus Organization member.
Dr. Richards: I don't need to explain my motives to you. Not
that you'd understand. I'm not seeking to create conflict. I'm
seeking to end it.
Olympus Organization Member: I didn't sign up for this group to
control people! I won't let you control people!
Dr. Richards sighs.
Dr. Richards: I should be upset that you are outright planning
to go against me. But honestly, I'm glad you're stupid enough to
tell me your true intentions... He releases a signal from his
Coeus Cypher to the Olympus Organization Member's cybernetics
which take control of him and force him under Dr. Richard's
control.
Dr. Richards: I can't believe you thought I wouldn't take
control of you as well. Any good scientist always has backup
plans if their creations turn against them. He says
sarcastically.
"Coeus. First generation titan who personified intellect and
inquisitive questioning. He was also the embodiment of the
nothern celestial axis." - A textbook about Coeus, whom Coeus's
cybernetic upgrade was inspired by.
"Dr. Richards was a prodigy. He was always smarter than everyone
else. He could solve any problem without throwing a punch. But
when he does fight... He's not someone you want to challenge.
I've yet to see any power used against him that he hasn't been
able to analyze and negate with his own cybernetic upgrades."
"He's not dangerous because he defeats his enemies with power.
He's dangerous because he wins all of his confrontations without
having to fight. He is extremely strong, but he almost never
uses that strength. That's the true horror of facing him. No one
knows what he'd be capable of if he put his skills to use in
combat."
"I hate taking credit for inventions that weren't mine. The
control system, the cypher for our cybernetics, even cloning.
Dr. Richards is the one who should be credited, but he prefers
to not be known to the public." - Natalya about the projects she
is credited with at Dr. Richard's request
"Even I didn't know how dangerous Dr. Richards is. I knew there
was a system in Vin's cybernetics to take control of her, but
Dr. Richards is far more dangerous than even I thought. There
may be more countermeasures in the Olympus Organizations
cybernetics than any of us thought. I don't even think Natalya
is safe from this man's plans. Because he is definitely planning
something. If anything ever happens to Natalya, I think Dr.
Richards would take over the organization without any
competition. And that says a lot since Yelena would try to
control the organization if anything happened to her mother." -
