"Is that all you fools have got?" - Commander General Veydras
Erickson (Alternate Dimension Version)
"Of all those working for the Celestians of my universe, I alone
have never failed."
"Give it up. You've lost."
"No. I can't read your mind. You're just that easy to predict."
- Veydras to an enemy.
"I forgot that not everyone has the kind of... appreciation... I
have for culture."
"Ready my fighter. I'll take out the enemy fleet myself."
"The Tolodora family has trusted me for a long time to run their
armies. And I will not disappoint them."
"Humans have a saying: 'Know your enemy.' It's wise for a
primitive race like theirs. In order to counter my enemies, I
must first learn about them."
"Enough hide and seek... They're hiding on the planet. Destroy
the cities one by one until they reveal themselves. By the
fourth city, they will reveal themselves." - Veydras luring out
an enemy.
"I live for the battlefield. The thrill I get from seeing a
strategy played out and the enemy dominated is something that I
enjoy more than anything. It is a desire that commanders of all
kinds can enjoy."
"My uncle was a great conqueror. And when the Celestian Warlords
came, they offered us the chance to join them. I took the
chance, while my uncle did not. He thought that he was happy
with his own corner of the universe, and ruling that place. My
uncle was killed soon after. It served him right. He could have
been Emperor of far more than just our little solar system and
fought grand battles. But he refused. I was happy to take his
place, and even happier when I got to face some of the strongest
fleets our universe had to offer with armies at my command."
When Veydras was fighting a few fast and strong robots in
training.
Ally: Wow. You're strong, Commander. He says as Veydras wins his
fight.
Veydras grabs a towel and cleans himself off.
Veydras: A soldier must maintain mind, spirit AND body. A
soldier must be at peak form in all aspects if they hope to
survive the battlefield. He explains.
During a space battle.
Veydras looks at the map of how the battle is taking place.
Ally: They're attacking Sector A. We're calling ships from other
points to help reinforce that sector. He reports, pointing to
the point where they were being attacked, and pulling up the
monitor showing the placement of the fleets.
Veydras: Thank you for the report. He says simply as he starts
looking at the placement of the fleets on the monitor.
Ally: What's wrong sir? He asks Veydras, noticing him thinking.
Veydras: I want you to send reinforcements to our forces in
Sector Z. He says to ally.
Ally: Uh... Sir? Why?
Veydras: They are attacking our strongest force in order to keep
us engaged. They are going to have a separate force attempt to
sneak through or break through Sector Z where our forces are
weakest. I kept our forces weaker there to lure enemies into
that region where we take advantage of them thinking it's just a
weaker force. I hide forces in that region that people don't
know about.
Ally: And you're sure they're going to attack that region next?
Veydras: Our enemies aren't foolish enough to attack our
strongest point without some sort of plan. A random all out
attack is to keep us distracted. Otherwise, why risk the
destruction of their fleet? No. They have a plan. And I'll bet
my fur on it that they're going to attack Sector Z.
"How's my favorite monkey? Kicking a*s as always, I take it?" -
Gammon jokingly talking to Veydras.
"He's not psychic, is he? How does he know what we're thinking?
He has to have some psychic ability, right?" - An enemy captured
by Veydras who predicted every thought.
"He's a tactical genius, though he's a bit strange at times. He
has a reason for everything he does though, no matter how
bizarre it may sound. He learns about his enemies. Not just
tactics, but their culture, their thought processes."
"Ah. Commander General. Any chance you'd be up for a simulated
space battle? You're always so fun to test my forces against." -
Wolfan General Draxis (of the Celestian Warlord alliance) to
Veydras (who he regularly challenges to simulated space battles
to test their cunning against each other).
"You'd think the general commanding the Celestian army would be
another Celestian. But under the Tolodora family, the second in
command is Commander General Veydras Erickson. That's how much
respect he got from them for his intellectual genius and his
natural leadership skills. And in return, Veydras is loyal to
the Celestian Warlords even above his own family and race." - An
ally of the Celestian Warlords about Veydras.
