Sin City WIP: Baisem "Seeker of Darkness" al-Zalam

"It is I, Baisem, The Seeker of Darkness."
"Come... Darkness!"
"I control the power of the primordial force called The
Darkness. The last host was killed too soon before it can find
another vessel."
"There are many different types of genies. Not all of them are
wind or fire types. There are earth types that worship Iblis and
ghoul types that feed on corpses. As for me, I was once a human
soldier serving the Ottoman Empire before my death. And now I am
an afrait, a jinn of darkness. The point is, if you foolishly
get any of them wrong, you will pay with more than your life. I
advise you to remember that in the future, and not be like those
ignorant Christians who believe that they know everything."
"So, you have come this far, and still you understand nothing.
Every light must fade, every heart return to darkness!"
"Come, guardian!"
~Baisem summoning the Dark Figure to protect him.
"Still confused? Then perhaps this will enlighten you!" Uses a
Dark Laser attack
"I am your waypoint, as you are mine."
"A meaningless effort. One who knows nothing can understand
nothing."
"Answers are meaningless if you lack the knowledge to understand
them. Here, there is only so much you can learn. You must
explore the world outside."
"It's easier than you'd think. One step forward is all it takes.
But if you lack the courage and strength, your dreams will
remain dreams forever."
"You do not yet know what lies beyond the door."
~Baisem vaguely answering someone when asked where he came from.
"For that instant, it was. However, you can become stronger. You
showed no fear in stepping through the door to darkness. It held
no terror for you. Plunge deeper into the darkness, and your
heart will grow even stronger. It's really quite simple. Open
yourself to the darkness. That is all. Let your heart, your
being, become darkness itself."
~Baisem manipulating a young warrior to use the power of
darkness.
"Now, open your heart, surrender it to the darkness! Become
darkness itself!"
~Baisem after infusing a darkling spirit into a human.
"Don't bother. Your voice can no longer reach him where he is.
His heart belongs again to darkness. All worlds begin in
darkness, and all so end. The heart is no different. Darkness
sprouts within it, it grows, consumes it. Such is its nature. In
the end, every heart returns to the darkness whence it came. You
see, darkness is the heart's true essence."
~Baisem to a paladin soldier who tried to help their friend
fight the Darkness.
"Look as hard as you are able. You'll not find even the smallest
glimmer of light. From those dark depths are all hearts born.
Even yours. Darkness conquers all worlds!"
~Baisem to Mason Fletcher before unleashing his jinn form and
fighting him.
"Graah...! Meddlesome angel! You cannot protect the girl
forever! She will embrace her destiny one way or another! I will
see to it!"
~Baisem to Mason Fletcher when Mason interfered and stopped
Baisem from trying to corrupt Danae.
"Oh, I know what you can do. I have watched you fight. I know
your strength. Your skill with darkness has matured. But I do
not understand. Why accept darkness and still refuse me? You
know you and I are similar. We both follow where the darkness
leads. Indeed, we are the same, so why? Does some part of your
heart still have a fear of the dark? That angelic brute may call
me mad, but I embraced the darkness—and unless you hurry up and
learn to do the same, your story will end."
~Baisem to Danae Levesque about her darkness (both physically
and metaphorically) in her dream before Mason kicked him out.
After a battle, Mason and Baisem noticed that the fight between
Danae and a cult member ended, resulting to Danae not succumbing
to her demon side which goes against Baisem's plans.
Mason: Bet you weren't hoping for that outcome happen, Baisem.
Baisem: The seeds has been planted ages ago. It might benefit
you to learn some patience, something that angels are supposed
to have. Then again, you did come from a barbaric home that
relied on strength. In the meantime, I'll let you celebrate this
little victory. But you out of all people should know that once
destiny is set in stone, it will happen one way or another.
Mason: Glares at Baisem as he spreads his wings I still have
faith in that kid. Flies off
"Ironic, isn't it. You preach about maintaining order in the
world, yet your actions are as destructive as mine, yet you try
to justify it. I guess even embodiments of light are capable of
being delusional hypocrites. I'll make sure that you will not
find another vessel to puppeteer for the next few centuries!"
~Baisem to Angelus before defeating her.
"I know what the Cult's goals are. And I am intrigued by them
and their ambitions. I decided to help them out because why not.
It's great to see the youth be ambitious. I even offer to create
some soldiers for them. An army of darkling empowered foot
soldiers. What's not to love?"
"Not much is known about Baisem. All I can gather about him from
the Islamic section of Heaven is that he was a Turkish scholar
during the Ottoman Empire. He was delving into some forbidden
knowledge about the dark arts which led to the deaths of so many
innocent lives. He was condemned to Jahannam to pay for his
sins, but somehow, he climbed his way to the top and became a
powerful jinn."

Alpha Demon Physiology:
~The user with this ability either is or can transform into an
alpha demon of the highest caliber. They possess incredible
supernatural power, great dominion over demons and minions, and
tremendous supernatural abilities in both domains. On top of
their gargantuan personal power, they usually rule over their
hellish kingdom and its legions of unholy horrors if they are
Archdemons, making them some of the most dangerous threats to
civilized communities and the world at large.
Alpha Genie Physiology:
~The character is an alpha genie, a being vastly superior to
other members of their group or society who leads through brute
strength and force of personality. Their command of the
supernatural may be limited to other genie, or it may extend
across multiple types of powerful esoteric beings to potentially
include angels, demons, fairies, and spirits.
Baisem is a jinn lord of darkness.
Genie Ghoul Physiology:
~The Islamic version of ghuls are demonic child-eating
shape-shifter jinn that inhabit graveyards. Since Baisem was a
ghoul type genie, this makes Amalia half ghoul genie as well.
Supernatural Concealment:
~The user can hide from anything, including humans and even
supernatural entities such as angels, demons and possibly
deities. In short, the user can't be found unless they want to
be.
Disease Immunity:
~The user's immunity, digestive, and other organ systems are
enhanced or evolved far beyond that of a normal human's. They
are completely immune to every form of disease brought on by
bacteria, viruses, or even parasites.
Invisibility:
~User can render themselves unseen by the naked eye and become
invisible in visible spectrum. The user can move about an
environment unseen by others and act without being observed.
Some users can choose to let certain people see them, while
staying invisible to others.
Ultimate Intangibility:
~The user is simultaneously both intangible and tangible, being
able to attack or make physical contact with their targets while
their targets cannot touch or attack the user, even while the
user is making physical contact.
Flight:
~User can fly or otherwise move through the air using various
methods. Some possibilities include using one or more forms of
energy, wings or similar structures, harnessing anti-gravitons,
or even mimicking or becoming an animal that can fly. Users are
generally able to Levitate, Slide, and Glide as well.
Pain Suppression:
~Users can block pain at will, are incapable of feeling pain or
are highly resistant to the physical pain of any kind, allowing
them to think clearly and continue to move despite a grievous
injury. Users can think clearly, continue to move, ignore
torture and generally function in situations where the pain
would disable a normal person.
Doppelgänger Morphing:
~The user can alter their form to take on the appearance of
others, typically when they've seen said other at least once.
