Pavlovich walks in with his guards. The three remain standing
for now but Pavlovich begin to speak.
Pavlovich: Good evening, Mr. Xeno. I hope that I'm not
interrupting anything. Though I can assure you and Miss Anabel
that this meeting will not take long.

Garton: No... I was just thinking about some things... and
trying to see how certain upgrades to my forces are going. Ever
since the Hyperion incident, our forces have been getting
upgrades to make sure we're ready for another attack.

Pavlovich nod as he takes a seat in front of Garton. His guards
stand close to him but not too close.
Pavlovich: I will cut to the chase. I want to make an agreement
with the both of you. As we all know, there are some dangerous
beings out there and we all agree that malicious freaks like
them needs to be put down for the greater good of our race and
our world. Though there are certain beings who are on our side
but I fear for the worst. And this person's a citizen in my
country. My plan is to have some sort of leash on her. She will
be left alone for now. But if she pose a major threat to
mankind... if she ever turn her back on her duties, she will be
put down. And I want Ragnarok to do it... if it's okay with you
and your organization.
Everything the president has said was truthful and clear as
crystal. Knowing that the people in the room are smart,
Pavlovich has a feeling that both Garton and Anabel will know
who he is talking about, since there are many people who has
tried to kill her or worse.

Phasma just waits at the door, standing quietly.
Garton: I take it we're talking about the demi-god, Vendetta. I
do still have Genus's last projects, the Clones of Maya and Jack
which were designed as counters by Genus and our cybernetics
scientist in case V and Death ever turned against humanity. I
agree that the threat is there if she were to ever use her
powers for something other than protecting humanity... After
what happened to Kindron Darkfire, we can't discount the
possibility that someone could turn her on humanity. Whether
it's something that turns her against us, or someone controls
her, I do agree that counters should be in place. Which would
require a counter in place if something like that happened
again. That's why Genus had originally created his projects. I
do still plan to have Maya and Jack in case anything goes wrong
and we end up having to fight V or Death, since that's why they
were made. I don't see that happening as long as Special Forces
has Vin and Rei on their side though... At the same time though,
I don't know that they are strong enough to handle V if she did
turn against humanity. But unlike Genus who planned to have them
forcibly take over, I'm not really aspiring to rule Olympus or
something... Which does beg another question... If V turned on
humanity and we had to fight her... How would we handle Olympus
afterward? Who would rule after that?

Anabel looked thoughtful for several moments. Ana: I think it’s
reasonable to put a precautionary plan in place just in case V
happens to slip up in a less than favorable way. As for what
we’ll do about Olympus well...I suppose we’ll find someone
temporary to be in charge. Someone with good morals. That or we
make someone for it. I think Dr. Batchelder could come up with
something if the need arose in both situations.

Pavlovich: I agree with Miss Anabel. We can worry about
replacements later on. But this is just planning ahead. If God
forbid the same cruel fate happens to the girl against her will
and there's a way to save her without killing her, then it's
possible to do it without killing her. Either way, I want to at
least keep some form of leash on her in case she stray from the
path of what she promised to do. And I want THIS organization to
do it. I don't want Special Forces to even know about this for
their sake. They see the child as family. So obviously, they'll
be torn about even knowing if the girl has turn her back on us.
And I'll be damned if any of our other enemies like the Titans
or God forbid Genus and his little monsters kill her and live to
rub it in our faces!
The president's voiced raised a little when he said the last
sentence. Sighing, he calm his nerves and speak again.
Pavlovich: It may seem cruel that I would conspire against my
own people but I'm doing this for a good reason. Otherwise, I
wouldn't be here. It's better to be safe than sorry. Vendetta
may not even know it probably but she is stronger than she
think. I can see it from the faces from the most ruthless
monsters to some of the toughest deities. I would even be
surprised if the angels and demons from the pantheon Miss Anabel
is from even see the girl as a potential threat. I don't care
how you do it. Spies, seals, or even your people testing her
every now and then. I was taught that you can tell a lot from a
person based on how they fight.
