Radu: Actually, it was the Dragon King, Ryu Fefnir Bordas, that
posted him there. Since we're so connected with the Land of
Dragons, he placed a guardian to help protect the path between
our lands from invaders if one of our kingdoms were ever
compromised. Ryu is a friend of mine, and the king of the Land
of Dragons, so he and I work pretty closely together.
Alathen: I've heard of him. His father was an ally of Olympus. I
don't know where his father is these days.

Cress: The name definitely rings a bell for me. I feel as if
I’ve heard Ryu’s name come up in my studies of the arcane at
least once. I don’t know much, but I do remember that.

Alathen: I just know he's the current Dragon King, his father,
Drake was an ally of the previous Tartarus ruler, Kindron
Darkfire. I only met him once, but he was rather annoying. He
says to Cress.
Radu: Ryu has been all over as of late looking for information
on the first Dragon King, Onaga. It's possible you've come
across his name while he was looking for information.

Cress: It’s very possible that I have. Maybe the moment will
come to me in time.You know I don’t think this will be just an
easy get there grab and go. I mean whatever is up there in
those mountains is big. Likely important. I think it’s also
unlikely to be left unprotected. Magical things never are.

Alathen: I don't think it will be that easy either. I expect
we're going to run into more Black Sun and Hyperion once we get
into the mountains.
Radu: Well, the good thing about the mountains here is that
their machines won't run very easily in the climate up there.
Even a lot of supernaturals have trouble adjusting to the
climate higher in the mountains. When you get to a certain
point, it's mostly all just snow and ice. Some of our people
tried setting up a settlement there, but just couldn't get
anything long-lasting due to how cold those mountains are. So
hopefully that will give you an advantage. But if the weapon
does exist, the mountains would be a good hiding place for it
considering almost no one can venture through those mountains
easily. There are plenty of unexplored caves and stuff in the
mountains, which is how we connected one of them to the Land of
Dragons. He explains.

Cress: Well I suppose being the daughter of the christian
“Mother Earth” will be advantageous for us up there. I can deal
with the cold easily, but just in case we need more warmth than
the mountain provides I’ll have it handled. I highly doubt the
idiots at Black Sun and Hyperion thought to make their machines
frost proof.

Alathen: Well... Lucky for me hellfire usually keeps me quite
warm, so I should be fine.
Radu: Yes, many of their robots typically freeze up in the
mountains, but I'm sure they're working on cold resistant
machines if they know how the environment is up there.
Alathen: I suppose we should get going though. We don't want to
linger too long or we might miss the next possible location.
