The robots on both sides are fairly easily dispatched, so
Alathen and Cress are able to reduce the numbers fairly easily.
However, as the simple ones start falling faster and faster, the
more powerful droids and robots start making their way into the
battle, though currently, they were behind most of the droids
and Anubis Soldiers.

Cressida now noticing the stronger ones lying in wait decides to
call on a little bit of alchemic knowledge. Really it’s just her
lighting a bag of gunpowder on fire and chucking it as far back
into the crowd of droids as she could get it, but calling it
alchemy sounds cooler

The grunt droids are taken out, but the tougher robots are
revealed to be Droidekas and Super Battle Droids which are much
stronger. Though a few of the super battle droids are destroyed,
the droidekas energy shields keep them safe as they start rapid
firing on Cress.
Meanwhile, Alathen is taking care of the Anubis soldiers, with
large spider-like robots starting to fire lasers from their eyes
at Alathen as he dodges them. He studies them for a moment.
Alathen: So those are the guardians... Never seen one up
close... He says to himself as he goes to cut his way through
the rest of the Anubis soldiers, but realizes his magic attacks
taking out groups in the back aren't doing any real damage to
the guardians.

The shield holds steady around Cress holding back most of the
rapid onslaught of bullets. The few that do slip through are
dodged as she slides and blasts her way through the group. The
only real injury she sustained is from the bits of exploding
metal that catch her exposed skin.

The droidekas continue moving toward Cress, continuing their
rapid fire on her as the super battle droids try to cut off her
movement.
Meanwhile, Alathen tries to destroy the guardian robots, but
can't seem to do enough damage to them. Alathen: Alright...
Tougher than I thought... He throws his sword at one of the
guardian robots, which goes through it's eye right before it
fires a laser, and the guardian falls to the ground. However,
one of the lasers catches him off guard and cuts through his
shoulder, forcing him to jump back.
Alathen: [v]I hate to suggest this... But I think it might be
better if we lure the stronger robots into destroying each
other... Black Sun and Hyperion are supposed to be enemies, so
it might be easier to get rid of them while they're shooting
each other. The Guardians and those Droidekas are much stronger
than the normal robots.[/v] He says telepathically to Cress.

Cress makes a quick nod a plan already formulating itself in her
head. She continues to pick off the ones that she can before she
turns tail and runs directly towards Alathen and the bots firing
at him. She hopped if she could get to Alathen quickly enough
that she could remove them both from the situation and set the
bots on each other after the initial exchanged crossfires from
her run that would have them accidentally attacking one another

Alathen does the same, getting the attention of the guardians as
they start firing lasers at him.[b] Alathen: They may be
cowardly... But these machines are strong, even I can't deny
that. [b]He says, more to himself as he lures the guardians.
The droidekas and super battle droids march towards Cress, still
firing on her, but aside from the droidekas shutting down their
shields and chasing her down in their ball-like form, they were
slow enough that Cress could outrun them.

She just bolts as fast as her legs will carry her which compared
to a normal human is incredibly fast. She yanks on Alathen’s arm
when she gets close enough to him pulling him along with her as
she teleports her way out leaving the droids and other ghastly
mechanical inventions to tear themselves to shreds. She lands
them close by but far enough away that they’re not gonna be
attacked

Their plan works perfectly, as once the shock of the sudden
teleportation dissipates in the machines, they look and start
firing on each other.
Once he had a moment to think as he watched the robots blast
each other, he sighs. Alathen: That mostly explains how Black
Sun and Hyperion are getting through the barrier around this
kingdom... Robots don't have emotions, so the barrier lets them
through. Radu failed to mention he was fighting off robots.
