Kindron's Prayer Theme: As You Find Me (
  HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIhNnv3OqAQ
       )
Man: Those monsters took my daughter! And it's your fault!
Kindron was dealing with yet another man who was trying to kill
Dale Kelly. It wasn't like Kindron blamed them. Ever since that
public announcement that Dale was retiring from politics and
that he was helping the police investigation into all the
criminal groups Dale had hands in, people had been showing up
trying to figure out where people were that had been taken by
the people who Dale Kelly had been operating with.
Ever since that television broadcast, it had been nonstop.
Kindron protected Dale Kelly each time, but he was starting to
wonder if he'd made the right decision in publicly broadcasting
that Dale was trying to make up for his crimes. Kindron was
dedicated to helping Dale find redemption and to help the people
who had lost family, but Kindron was starting to feel
       overwhelmed.
Kindron: Listen... If your daughter is still alive, we will find
her. The FBI is working on the case and trying to recover the
people taken into the human trafficking rings. He explains.
Human: NO! He's responsible! And I won't stop until he pays!
Kindron moves in front of the man, and moves the gun down. The
man tries to resist, but can't overwhelm Kindron's raw strength.
Kindron: Listen to me, carefully... If Dale Kelly dies, any hope
of finding your daughter is lost. Trust me. I get it. If it were
my little sister, I would do nothing but try to find her. He
explains softly. He was sincere, knowing that if it were Sophie
(his adopted little sister), that he would tear the underworld
apart looking for her. But don't let your anger control you. We
have to be logical. Your daughter, if she's alive, will need us
at our best. Dale Kelly is the only hope we have of finding
       those people that were taken.
It took some time, but Kindron did manage to talk the man down,
and the man went with the police when they arrived.
Dale sighs as Kindron walks in and sits down.
Dale: I knew this wouldn't be easy, but it still feels
impossible... I feel my life expentency dropping each day. He
says as he tries to relax in his office chair.
Kindron chuckles a bit. Kindron: Yeah, I feel the same. I'm
running around more than I have in years. He then gets serious
for a moment. I'm starting to wonder if this was right. Maybe I
should have helped you correct your ways in secret rather than
       announcing it...
       Dale sighs.
Dale: You're the one that wanted me to do this. Don't tell me
you're having second thoughts. He says, somewhat sarcastically.
Kindron: No... I believe we're doing the right thing. It's
just... I am starting to wonder if I let pride get in my way
again. He says, leaning back in his chair.
Dale: Well... We all got pride, son. It's part of the human
condition. He says with a shrug.
Kindron: Maybe you're right. He says as he gets up. Order a
pizza. I'll be back in a few minutes, assuming nothing bad
happens. He says as he locks the doors and windows to keep
       people from entering.
Dale: I feel more like a prisoner than a politician. He says as
Kindron locks the place up. Kindron even used special ward
talismans he'd bought from a Shinto priest designed to protect
the room from teleportaitons and shadow travelers.
Kindron: Yeah, sorry. I wish we could avoid all this, but more
people were affected by your actions than I expected. He says as
       he goes into another room.
Once inside, Kindron silently sits down and prays. He didn't
want to show Dale Kelly, but he was just as tired as Dale was.
He knew he couldn't do this alone, and he was starting to feel
like he had been wrong to make Dale's crimes public knowledge.
Kindron: I don't know what to do... I can't keep going like
this. I'm going to fail. I can't win. He says, somewhat
defeated. I can't give up. But I also don't know how to move
       forward. He says, praying.
However, as he prays, suddenly he found himself in a field, as
though his spirit had been transported out of his body. Kindron
was confused at first, and couldn't help but feel a little
afraid. He noticed he didn't have his cloak and wolf mask on,
and Shinso wasn't at his side.
Voice: Do not fear, Kindron Darkfire. Heaven has heard your
prayers. The voice says before a man, with blond hair, blue eyes
and wearing glasses, appears in front of Kindron.
Kindron looks at the man, sensing him as an angel. And a
powerful one at that. It was an angel he wasn't sure he could
beat in a fight. Even though the man had his back to Kindron,
Kindron knew that if he attacked, the man would likely blast him
to pieces without a second thought.
Man: I am Kuriel. Archangel. It is nice to meet you. He says
politely, his hands behind his back, standing in a professional
       manner.
Kindron: I'm... not dead, am I? He says, completely confused.
       Kuriel chuckles to himself.
Kuriel: No, my friend... You are alive. He turns to face Kindron
with a soft smile. You have prayed and Heaven has sent me to
       answer.
Kindron shakes, both in fear and anticipation.
Kuriel: You are seeking redemption. Scarred by your past
failures. And you want redemption for those you have met in this
town. He says as he steps forward.
Kindron: I have failed more times than I can count. It seems to
be the one thing I'm good at. He says, looking down.
Kuriel: We all fail. But the true path to redemption is not
about failing. It is about not giving up.
Kindron: I know. I'm trying not to give up. He says, still
       looking down.
Kuriel: I do not know what has happened in Vegas around Dale
Kelly. But his destiny was altered by unknown means. You were
never supposed to be here in this town at this time. Dale
Kelly's fate was to die by the Black Reaper's hands. A fate that
seems to have been altered by unknown events. He says to
       Kindron.
Kindron: So... Then, you're saying that he can't be saved? He
       says, trying to understand.
Kuriel: No. That is not what I'm saying. He smiles to Kindron.
You have not failed this man, Kindron Darkfire. Quite the
opposite. He says, putting his hand on Kindron's shoulder.
Though shorter than Kindron, Kuriel had an imposing demeanor
that even had Kindron on edge. Destiny was altered, and now that
you are here, other destinies are being altered as well. Some
       good, some bad.
       Kindron: I don't understand.
Kuriel: As I said. Destiny was altered around Dale Kelly. And
because of that, he called you here to protect him. Dale was
destined to die in his sins. He then smiles again. But your
presence has changed him. You have put him on a path to
redemption he would never have gotten if you hadn't been here.
And there are others that will find redemption as long as you do
       not give up.
Kindron: How... How was destiny altered? You said I wasn't
supposed to be here. What changed?
Kuriel: We do not know. Many people's destinies are being
altered in a chain reaction that started with Dale Kelly
choosing to call you to protect him. And it has led to others
       also having altered destinies.
Kindron: So... You're saying that others that weren't able to be
redeemed before might see redemption now?
Kuriel: Indeed. Dale Kelly's altered destiny is altering other
destinies even now. And your destiny may be altered as well. You
have the chance to save his life.
Kindron: I can't do this alone though. He says to Kuriel.
Kuriel: I know. And soon, you will find yourself with a new
ally, one with an altered destiny as well thanks to your actions
here. That is the main reason I was sent here. To encourage you.
You will soon have help that will fight alongside you to help
       you in your path.
Kindron: Altered destiny? Please tell me it's not another
       enemy...
Kuriel: That is up to you. This ally will work with you. What
happens next is your choice. Destiny is in your hands. He says
to Kindron. You do not realize it, but Heaven has celebrated
seeing new redemptions that were not possible before. And we are
hoping that others will see redemption as well. However, there
is a risk that some may not see redemption that were destined to
as a result of your absence.
Kindron looks down again. Kindron: So... For the people who are
       redeemed, others are lost.
Kuriel: Do not fear, Kindron Darkfire. I myself am trying to
realign destiny as ordered by Heaven. I am making sure to try
and realign the destinies of those you are meant to save. And if
I can save them from their new destinies of darkness, then you
will not have to worry about the people you cannot save. He
smiles one last time as his wings extend from his back. We are
fighting to redeem just as you are. Do not worry about the
others you aren't there for. I will handle their destinies. For
now, fight and seek to help those who need redemption here. You
may be surprised at who you find, and who ends up finding
redemption through you. He says with a smile before flying off.
And just like that, Kindron was back in the room he was praying
in. He feels Shinso at his side again, and he was wearing his
       cloak and wolf mask.
Kindron takes a moment, trying to process what he had just
heard. He was shaking still, both from fear, and from
anticipation. It was a moment he wasn't expecting.
Shinso pulses, asking if Kindron was alright.
Kindron: I'm alright... Just had a little encouragement, I
guess. He says, smiling slightly under his mask. Though Shinso
hadn't seen or sensed Kindron's conversation with Kuriel,
Kindron knew that he hadn't imagined Kuriel or that
conversation. And he wondered just what kind of "ally" he'd be
       getting.
Kindron: Let's go get some pizza. He says to himself as he walks
       out of the room.
       A week later...
       Eric's Theme: L no Nakama (
  HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBcxeMzK5_A
       )
As a man walks in, he whistles to himself, with his tune
affecting the ambient energy in the room. Kindron could tell
immediately that this wasn't a normal threat by how the ambient
energy seemed to be affected by the man's whistling, and stand
up, ready to draw his sword. What was even stranger was that the
whistling didn't sound like a human whistle, it sounded like a
wolf howling in a musical tune.
Man: Agent Eric Matthews. FBI. I'm assigned to the investigation
around Dale Kelly. He explains as he walks up to the group,
showing his FBI badge to Kindron and Dale.
Kindron: Nice to meet you. He says as he relaxes a bit, taking
his hands off his sword upon seeing the FBI badge. He could tell
Eric wasn't some average human, but couldn't sense Eric's true
self. Kindron was suspicious of Eric, knowing Eric was hiding
who he really was. Of course, Kindron was doing the same thing,
hiding behind a mask and behind a hidden presence himself.
Though, Eric seemed to be just as suspicious of Kindron, and
       analyzing Kindron's presence.
Eric: I can't smell him at all. If he weren't standing in front
       of me, I don't think I would even know he's here. He's not a
normal human. He's good at supressing his presence, even better
than I am. Eric thinks to himself.
Eric: So. You're the one they call Wolf Mask, huh? I've heard
stories about you. He says, looking up at Kindron's face, which
       was hidden by his mask.
Kindron: I'm surprised how many people know who I am in this
town despite never showing up in this country until now. He says
       with a shrug.
Eric: I only know because I researched you. We did some
background checks to try and figure out who you were since you
seem to be such a wild card in this incident. But the best we
got was some legend of Europe.
Kindron: Sounds about right. I'm not exactly someone most people
want to know. And most people who do want to know me end up
       dying.
Eric chuckles as he lights a cigarette.
Eric: I get that. But we're not just dealing with normal human
criminals here. So if I'm going to protect him, I can't be
trying to babysit you as well. He then gets serious. You need to
leave. Leave Dale Kelly to me. He says to Kindron as he smokes
       his cigarette.
Kindron was taken aback, not sure how to respond.
Kindron: I can't do that. I'm under contract to protect Dale
       Kelly. I'm not leaving.
Eric: I'm sorry. It's nothing against you. It's just that I
can't trust you. If I need help, I can call my boss and have
other agents sent over here. He explains to Kindron.
Kindron chuckles. Kindron: The same could be said of you, Agent
Matthews. He says. After all, you're not exactly fully
trustworthy right now yourself. I can tell you're hiding
       something.
       Eric sighs.
Eric: Listen. The fact is that I am the FBI agent here. And it's
my orders on this case. I'm not obligated to tell you my life
story. I came to handle this investigation and make sure corrupt
officials don't mess up our investigation.
Kindron: No offense, but wouldn't he be safer if we work
together? Like you said, we're not fighting just human
criminals. I fought one guy that was literally made of sand, and
another human made to look like a big rhino. we're not dealing
with the average Joes here. This place has gotten to levels of
weird that even I wasn't ready for... He says, recalling
previous battles against Sandman and Rhino, who were henchmen of
Tombstone. Kindron suspects that they had tried to silence Dale
before he could rat out Tombstone's connections to the FBI,
since Kindron had heard rumors of Tombstone being a criminal
despite his public identity not being seen as a criminal.
Eric: Maybe. But I can't trust someone who hides behind a mask.
Dale: Actually... I kind of agree with Agent Matthews on that
one. He looks to Kindron. I don't even know who you are, but you
came in and demanded I change my life. I trusted you. So now
perhaps it is time we all trust each other and finally dedicate
ourselves to the whole "no more secrets." He says to Kindron.
Kindron: That's... Sighs. Pretty fair, actually. You are right
about that. You trusted me, so I suppose it's my turn to trust
you. He says to Dale. But if I show you who I really am, then
       there's no going back. There's a reason I work alone. And it's
usually because people can't handle who I really am.
Eric chuckles. Eric: That's usually my line. But Mr. Kelly has a
point. If we're going to work together, we have to trust each
other. He says sarcastically. And as long as you're not a
criminal, I promise to keep your identity secret.
Kindron sighs again. Kindron: Fine. We all be completely honest.
No more secrets from anyone. He says with a shrug. He looks to
Eric. Last chance to back out, Agent. If I'm going to put my
identity out to you, then you need to do the same. I take off my
mask, you take off yours. He says to Eric. Though Eric wasn't
wearing a mask physically, Kindron could tell Eric was hiding
       his true self.
Eric: Fine. I'll show you what I really am if you show me who
       you are.
Kindron smiles. Kindron: Very well. He says.
He takes off his mask and cloak, throwing them on the coat rack,
with some of his throwing knives and supernatural hunter weapons
clanging around in his cloak pockets. He then sits down, his
wings and tail now visible. He grabs some pizza and starts
eating, showing his full werepyre self.
Kindron: This is the real me. My real name is Kindron Darkfire.
       I'm a werepyre. And I don't know who I really am beyond that. I
only know that I have no family and I've been alone for a long
       time.
Eric and Dale look at Kindron in disbelief.
Eric: I couldn't... tell... He says, as he notices Kindron's
scent now that Kindron had taken off his cloak. He goes over to
the coat rack, examining Kindron's cloak. What the heck is this
made of? I couldn't smell anything through it. I can smell your
scent now, but I can't smell your cloak at all.
Kindron was actually surprised, and took a moment. Kindron was
surprised Eric was more interested in his cloak than in the fact
       he was a monster.
Kindron: The cloak has a gel layer sewn in. It's a special
concoction I made that blocks scent completely by absorbing
odors. I made it so werewolves couldn't sniff me out, and so
other people would have a hard time telling who I was.
Eric smiles and goes over to a chair.
Eric: I admit, this just got interesting. He says jokingly. As
promised... My turn. He turns into his werewolf form, a blue and
black werewolf as his amber eyes glow. He looks far more
reserved than any other werewolf, and even as Eric sits down, he
doesn't bulk up to the point where his clothes rip. It was like
he had tailored his suit perfectly to both his human and
       werewolf form.
Eric sits down and takes a slice of pizza as well and starts
eating it. Eric: I'm a werewolf. Descendant of a long forgotten
tribe. I don't know the name of it, or the source of the sound
based power I use, but it's been a part of me for as long as I
can remember. He says before turning human again. Hope it's not
too weird having a werewolf here. If you don't like it, I can
call my boss and have someone else sent over if you're
uncomfortable. He says, as though expecting a freakout.
Kindron chuckles to himself. Kindron: You and I are quite alike
in that regard. He then shows his black flames. I don't know
where my elemental power comes from either. He says before
extinguishing the flames. I can control my lightning, but I
cannot control my black flames fully. So I try not to use them
much. It's why I gave up my old sword that used my black flames
as power. Because it became too powerful and too murderous.
Eric looks over at Kindron with interest. Eric: That's
interesting. So we both have origins that we don't understand.
Kindron: Maybe we can help each other. He says as he looks to
Eric. I know a lot about the werewolf tribes from many years of
supernatural hunting. I can use my knowledge to help find your
origin. Maybe if I revisit old tribes I've fought, I can find
clues. And in return, you can use your knowledge to help me
locate my origin. Maybe together, we can unravel each other's
pasts. He says to Eric. What do you say, Agent? He says, holding
       out his hand.
Eric smiles a bit as he looks to Kindron. Eric: You sure about
this? Not many people think I'm a good person. Especially after
I reveal who I am. He says to Kindron. But he shakes Kindron's
       hand anyway.
Kindron: My best friend is a werewolf... Or former best friend.
Stuff happened and he doesn't want to speak to me. He says,
remembering when his friend Constantin stopped talking to him
after Kindron was responsible for the death of his sister. But I
don't mind it. Honestly, it kind of feels a little more like
home having a werewolf friend again. He says jokingly.
Eric smiles a bit and continues to eat the slice of pizza he was
       holding.
Eric: I see. Most werewolves see me as an abomination. They want
me to be more like a monster, and I choose to be controlled
rather than feral like most. So it's weird not being treated
like a monster. He says jokingly.
Kindron: That's usually my line. He says jokingly as he eats his
pizza. Werepyres are usually rejected by everyone, monsters and
hunters alike. I'm used to everyone treating me like an
       abomination.
Meanwhile, Dale was slumped in his chair, in complete disbelief.
Dale: I'm surrounded by freaks... What the heck have I gotten
myself into? He says sarcastically, completely dumbfounded by
       the new revelation.
Kindron chuckles. Kindron: Now THAT'S the response I expected.
He says jokingly as he holds up his pizza as though toasting.
Eric joins in, holding up his pizza. Eric: I'll drink to that.
He says somewhat jokingly, even though they weren't drinking.
Don't worry, Mr. Kelly. It seems you have some strong monsters
       to protect you. He jokes.
Dale says nothing, but doesn't protest.
Kindron: So... What about you, Agent Matthews? How did you start
       in the FBI?
Eric: Just call me Eric. He says to Kindron. I was very good at
predicting people and learning how people think. I was so good
at it, that psychology majors were coming to me for advice about
how to understand people. I also have an unnatural talent for
torture, both physical and mental. Eventually, I was offered a
job by the FBI due to my expertise in reading people and being
good at gathering information. When my boss found out I was a
werewolf, he put me in his unit because I work for a special
unit that handles meta-human investigations. You see, I work
alongside a few other agents that aren't so normal. He stops for
a moment. But I shouldn't mention them since their secrets
aren't mine to share... But let's just say that we have some
interesting people. Sorry, I know you said no secrets, but it's
not my place to tell other people those people's secrets.
Kindron: Yeah. That I can understand. And don't worry. I won't
pry. You've been honest about yourself, and that's enough. I
know people I've met that had their own secrets. He says,
thinking about people from his past he's kept their secrets for
only since he felt it wasn't his place to reveal their secrets.
Kindron didn't know if it was the same, but he got a similar
feeling about Eric keeping secrets that Kindron has around
protecting his little sister, Sophie, like her infinite magic.
Eric: What about you? What made you become a hunter? He asks
       Kindron.
Kindron: My mentor, mostly. He was a Christian priest who
rescued me when I was a child despite the fact I was a monster.
He only saw a scared child rather than a monster who needed
killing, and took me in like a son. And then he died when the
village found out what I really was. They killed him for
harboring a monster like me. I took up his sword and became a
supernatural hunter to honor his legacy and try to be as good a
person as he was to help others. I wanted to help people find
God the same way he did. I suppose I also wanted to prove those
people who killed my mentor wrong... That I wasn't the monster
       they thought I was.
Eric: I dunno, it seems to me like you've done pretty well for
yourself. Most people would have given up on humans after
       something like that.
Kindron chuckles to himself. Kindron: Thanks. I've tried to
continue on. I know not all humans are evil. He then continues.
I know my name is Darkfire. But I've never been able to find
clues about the origin of my family. I think my father is a
werewolf and my mother is a vampire... But even that I'm not
sure of anymore. The only person who has answers is the woman
who orchestrated the death of my mother and I assume my father.
Her name is Safiria. She's a vampire who's a master of the dark
arts. He then thinks. Oh. And then there another clue, which was
the Black Reaper... The assassin. He had black flames just like
mine. But his were more controlled than mine were. I suspect he
might lead me to who I am as well.
Eric: The Black Reaper. I researched him too. Supposedly he's
been playing vigilante killing criminals all over town. And his
file goes all the way back to Japan in the Meiji era, possibly
further. Probably tied to multiple people since there's subtle
differences in the killings over the years.[/b]
Kindron: Wait, really? That could help a ton in figuring out who
he is. I couldn't find any info outside of this town. He looks
to Eric. So what about you? You said you don't know who you are
either. I could feel the energy in the room react and you said
you don't know your werewolf origins before. But do you know
       anything else about that power?
Eric: It's my werewolf power, that's all I know. My family calls
it the Whistle Tune. It's like a power that manipulates energy
and spirit power in the air through sound waves... Or at least,
that's as close an explanation as I've figured out so far. It
seems like the whistle has to be a specific tune to utilize
certain abilities. We have different songs we call "Howling
Songs" that do different things. The one I used when I walked in
was Aria of Twilight. It manipulates ambient energy.
Kindron smiles a bit. Kindron: I admit, that did intimidate me a
little bit when I felt it. I never felt that kind of power
before. Even my advanced darkness magic doesn't quite affect the
energy in the air in that way. I've never encountered a power
like that. It's almost... mystic... in some ways. It definitely
       was unique.
Eric: Yeah, well, that anti-scent cloak you have surprised me as
well, and seemed pretty unique. So while we're asking questions,
that sword of yours. It's a holy sword right? How do you hold it
without your hands not burning up?
Kindron holds up his hands, which were still gloved.
Kindron: I wear gloves. He says simply. My gloves are lined with
a special gold leather I developed. Designed to protect my hands
from the holy effects. My cloak has that lining as well. So it
protects me from holy or demonic effects to a degree. The gold
leather material acts like a barrier between my hands and
       whatever's outside.
Eric: Maybe I should have you redesign my suit. You should open
a clothing store or something... You have some really cool
       clothes. He says jokingly.
Kindron just shrugs with a joking smile.
Kindron: They're not a big deal. Just little inventions I came
up with. I've had to be unpredictable to the creatures I hunt.
It makes taking them out easier.
Eric: Honestly... I've never been as confused as I am meeting
you. All my normal ways of predicting people failed to even come
close to predicting you. So you did pretty good there.
Kindron chuckles a bit. Kindron: I could say the same about you.
I didn't even sense you were a werewolf until you revealed it.
Eric: Well... I didn't sense you as a werepyre until you
revealed it. So we're even. He says jokingly.
Kindron: Well, I'm just glad we can trust each other. I normally
work alone, and the few partners I have ended up either turned
       evil or died.
Eric: I normally work alone. But I think I'll make an exception
this time. So I guess that makes us comrades in arms. He says
       with a slight smile.
Kindron: I prefer "friends." He says jokingly.
Meanwhile, Dale Kelly's mind was fried, trying to process what
he had found out about these two. But he steals a slice of pizza
from the box while Kindron and Eric talked, just happy to have
       made it another day.
But things were just beginning to heat up (and not due to
       Kindron's flames).
Soon, there would be more battles to fight. But now, Kindron
wasn't alone in the fight, and had someone to stand by him.
A man who's original destiny was to choose to become Kindron's
enemy was now one of Kindron's strongest allies. A man who's
destiny was altered without most of them even knowing it.
Only time will tell what other destinies have been altered, and
who else might appear in this story of a timeline altered by one
death wraith kid who wanted his weed...
       End.
