Sin City/London Past Story: Two Lone Souls
By: Zorbak the Ebil Moglin Date: February 27, 2026, 1:05 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       - Opening Theme: Trick (
  HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-OxkotSNZw
       )
Werewolf 1: Get lost, little girl... Unless you want to die
       here.
Werewolf 2: A little half vampire shouldn't get in our way.
Those words made Sophie angry. Not only were the human villagers
about to be killed after they had been in the forest trying to
gather herbs, but now they were insulting her.
Sophie: I'm not leaving. Even if I only save one life, it's
worth it! She says as she stands in front of the small group of
       humans with a confident expression.
Werewolf 3: Your funeral! He says as he goes and tries to slash
       Sophie with his werewolf claw.
However, the attack was much faster than Sophie expected, and
she closes her eyes, thinking that the werewolf was about to
kill her. But as Sophie closes her eyes thinking she was going
to die, she realizes the attack never hits her.
Ater hearing grunting, Sophie opens her eyes and finds a large
man in front of her wearing a black cloak and a wolf mask
       holding the werewolf's wrist.
       - Kindron Saves Sophie Theme (
  HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKg1ZZ4IQ4U
       )
Kindron Darkfire. Most who knew of him knew that wolf mask and
       often recognized Kindron's tall stature.
But this was the first time Sophie had ever met Kindron, so she
       didn't know who he was.
Werewolf 3: Who the hell is this?! Guy's strong as sh*t! The
werewolf who Kindron was restraining asked, trying and failing
to break free from Kindron's grip.
Kindron: You have one chance. Walk away and never hunt humans
again. Or else you will die. He kicks the werewolf in the gut
hard enough to send him flying through a tree as he lets go of
       the werewolf's wrist.
       Kindron turns to Sophie.
Kindron: I heard what you said... Fighting to save lives rather
than end them is something I respect. He smiles under his mask
which wasn't visible to anyone and pats Sophie's head softly.
Let me take things from here. You and the others will be safe
now. He says before he walks forward.
The werewolves all hesitate for a moment, but one seems more
       hesitant than the others.
Werewolf: Is that... the legend? He says to himself.
Werewolf Leader: That legend is a hoax. Created by hunters to
scare us off. He says, walking forward. He chuckles. A wolf
masked fighter killing werewolf tribes? Someone as large as him
couldn't do that. No way. He may be strong, but he's not fast
enough to counter us. He says confidently.
Kindron: Only one way to find out. Don't be scared. Try your
luck. He says, waving for the werewolf leader to come at him.
Werewolf Leader: GLADLY! He says angrily as he charges forward.
However, the werewolf leader doesn't even see Kindron use his
battojutsu style sword draw, which sliced the werewolf in half
before he even made it to Kindron.
By the time the werewolf leader made it to Kindron, he had split
in half right down the middle, falling to either side of
       Kindron.
Kindron: Who's next? He asks them.
Werewolf 1: He can't take all of us! Charge him! He says
desperately after seeing his leader fall to the ground in two
pieces. Though some of the werewolves had already left in fear,
realizing how powerful Kindron was if their leader was taken out
       so easily.
Sophie watches in awe at Kindron's fighting style.
In a flash, Kindron cuts down 3 of the werewolves, while two
come in right behind the three and try to attack. Kindron then
vanishes into the air above them as he jumps over them.
Kindron charges a fusion bolt magic spell, which fuses his fire
bolt magic shots with his ice bolt magic shots. The result is a
fire/ice bolt that he fires at the two werewolves who tried to
sneak attack him, and hits them with enough force that the
fusion bolt spell blasts right through them, combining the fire
bolt pure strength kinetic impact with the rapid fire attack of
       the ice bolt.
As Sophie sees the magic Kindron uses, it was like her own magic
power pulsed for a moment as she continues to watch Kindron
       fight.
As Kindron lands, he cuts down two more werewolves who try to
       come in and attack him.
By now, the werewolves were mostly all moving in strategically
and trying to find an angle of attack. The werewolves try to
       attack from multiple angles.
Kindron charges another spell, this time a darkness spell.
Kindron vanishes and moves back and then fires the spell.
Kindron: Shadow Flare! He says as he fires a mass of dark
energy/mana that react violently and explode the area with
multiple bursts of blackened flames. This intermediate spell was
one of Kindron's own creation, and the black flames vaporize
       most of the werewolves.
The remaining werewolves that survive the Shadow Flare decide
that the fight isn't worth it, and they jump through the trees
       to get away.
Kindron sighs for a moment. He then sheathes his sword.
Kindron: It's over. He says as he looks to Sophie and the
       villagers.
The villagers run back to the village, scared more of Kindron
than of the werewolves after the power Kindron displayed.

       )
But Sophie was not afraid of Kindron. She runs over to him
       excitedly.
Sophie: That was so cool! I've never seen magic like that
before! And the way you took out those werewolves! You were so
fast! Like, whoosh! She says, showing her age as a young girl.
       Kindron chuckles.
Kindron: Thanks, kiddo. But it was just my natural combat skill.
And the magic I learned from my magic teacher. Well, along with
       developing my own spells.
Sophie looks up at Kindron with an almost puppy-dog like
       expression.
Sophie: If you can use magic, train me! I wanna learn how to do
that fire and ice fusion spell thing! That was so cool! And the
Shadow Flare! I've never seen a spell use dark energy in that
way before! She says. Oh, and my name is Sophie. She says
       cheerfully, introducing herself.
Kindron sighs as he turns away.
       Kindron: I can't... I'm sorry. I travel alone for a reason.
Sophie jumps on Kindron's shoulders and leans over his head,
looking into his eyes upside down.
Sophie: I'm alone too. So let's be alone together! She says
       jokingly.
Kindron: Yeah, that's not how being alone works... He says
       sarcastically.
Sophie: That's what people want you to believe... But you gotta
see the world from a unique perspective! She says with a big
smile and a cheerful tone. She then looks down at Kindron as he
puts his mask back on. So why do you wear a mask? She asks
       curiously.
Kindron: Because people don't accept me. I'm a werepyre, and
people hate werepyres. Everyone hates werepyres...
Sophie tilts her head in confusion.
       Sophie: What's a werepyre?
Kindron: I'm half werewolf, half vampire.
       Sophie claps in amusement.
Sophie: Hey! I'm half vampire too! We're similar in that regard
too! Funny how things work out sometimes! I got me a great
       teacher! She says excitedly.
It was hard for Kindron to resist how happy and cheerful Sophie
       was.
Kindron: You just met me, kiddo... You don't know me. I could
end up using you for my own ends. You don't know if I'm good or
bad. He says to Sophie. He takes off his mask so that she could
see his face, something he wouldn't normally do.
       Sophie just chuckles.
Sophie: You're a good person. I can tell by your words. She then
leans back up while still sitting on Kindron's shoulders, and
rests her arms on Kindron's head.
Kindron: Just because people say good words to you, doesn't mean
       they're good.
Sophie: Oh I know. She says with a smile. It's not the words...
It's the intent behind them. She explains, waving her finger
       around dramatically.
Kindron: The intent behind them? He asks. Though he had an idea
of what she was talking about since he also tended to figure out
people's intent not from words but from the meaning behind them.
Sophie: Yeah... Words are words, but the feelings are... unique.
She explains. Like with those wolf guys. I could tell they were
bad by their words. Their words were like fire... Trying to burn
the forest down. She says, trying to describe how she felt the
       werewolf's words.
Kindron: That's actually pretty accurate. He says as he starts
walking, letting Sophie ride on his shoulders.
       Sophie giggles.
Sophie: I know, right? She then looks down at Kindron. Your
words though... They're different. Like light. Your words shine
and heal people. You want to help, and be a good person. I can
tell. She says. But then there's the rain. Hidden in your words.
It's deep, but your words have a little sadness in them. She
       says, analyzing Kindron.
       Kindron chuckles.
Kindron: Wow. You really are good at that. He says jokingly.
Sophie: I know. She says jokingly with a smile. She then leans
down and meets Kindron's gaze upside down again. Now train me!
She says in a humorously serious tone.
Kindron sighs. But not at Sophie's words. For a moment, he feels
Sophie's magic. Almost like it was calling out to him. Kindron
knew Sophie probably didn't even realize it. Kindron had heard
of magic users gaining students when their magic calls to them,
almost like magic users are drawn to each other, but Kindron had
       never experienced it himself before.
Kindron: I should warn you. I don't use normal magic. My magic
is an ancient magic art I learned from my teacher. He made some
of the spells himself, and I made a few spells myself as well.
Sophie: Then that just makes it unique. I get to learn two
people's legacies through their spells. She says, throwing her
       hands in excitement.
Kindron chuckles again. It was getting harder and harder for him
       to resist Sophie's happy attitude.
Kindron: I guess we will be alone together. He says jokingly.
Sophie: See? Now you're getting it. See the world in a new
light. She says with a smile.
Kindron: Maybe. But learning magic isn't easy. You have to
practice the spells a lot. And you have to learn your limits.
Sophie leans down again and looks at Kindron.
Sophie: Limits? What do you mean?
Kindron: I mean, you need to learn how many spells you can cast
before you run out of magic, or you need to learn how powerful
your magic is. And even what type of magic you use. He explains.
Sophie: Wait... Run out of magic? You don't run out of magic.
She says, still looking into Kindron's eyes, this time in
       confusion.
Kindron tilts his head a bit in confusion.
Kindron: Everyone runs out of magic. It's a fact of life. You
can only cast so many spells before you run out of magic.
Sophie tilts her head in confusion.
Sophie: I've never run out of magic before.
       Kindron looks into Sophie's eyes.
Kindron: And how many spells can you cast? He asks her, trying
to learn more about Sophie's magic.
Sophie sits back up on Kindron's shoulders, thinking. Sophie:
Well... It's hard to count when they don't always work. But I've
never hit a limit on the number of times I cast spells.
Kindron stops in surprise, which almost flings Sophie off his
shoulders as she is pulled forward by the sudden stop.
Sophie: Whoa! What's wrong? She says, noticing Kindron's change
       in demeanor.
Kindron: Listen, kiddo. People have limits. I can only cast so
many spells before I run out of magic and have to recharge.
That's how it is for most people. I've never heard of anyone
having infinite magic before. Are you saying you never have to
recharge your magic? He asks her.
       She looks down at him.
Sophie: Yeah... It's like a well. She says, trying to find the
words to explain it. No matter how many buckets I pull up, the
well never dries out. It's not like I can dump the whole well at
once or something, but I can keep pulling from the well without
any issues. I've never hit the bottom of it.
       Kindron starts walking again.
Kindron: Sophie... Listen. It's very important you never tell
anyone that you don't have to recharge your magic. Keep that to
yourself. You must never let people figure out that you have
       infinite magic.
       Sophie just smiles and claps.
Sophie: Hey, that's the first time you used my name! She says
       excitedly.
However, Kindron is serious as he looks up to her.
Kindron: Sophie. I'm serious. People don't have infinite magic.
And if someone finds out you do, they will use you or try to
take your power for themselves. Or just outright kill you.
Sophie gulps, only now realizing why Kindron was so serious.
Sophie: Oh. So, infinite magic isn't normal? Is that really
       unusual?
Kindron: It is very unusual. I've never heard of it happening,
nor have most magic users. I don't even know how that's
       possible. He says to her.
Sophie: Uh... So... Train me? Please? She says in a squeaky
       voice.
Kindron: Don't worry. I'll train you. You will need to know how
to defend yourself. Because I think others are going to come
after you. He says as he pats her hands on his head softly.
Sophie: YAY! She says happily. So what's training gotta do
       first, teach? She says happily.
Kindron: Well... In my regiment, we get plenty of food and rest.
Starting with food. Because even your teacher is hungry now. He
       says jokingly.
It was an unconventional friendship. Which would evolve into
       them becoming brother and sister.
Sophie would learn magic from Kindron. But Sophie would in turn
teach Kindron to see the world in a new way.
The two were unique. And it would give them a bond that would
       carry on throughout the years.
Kindron and Sophie were two lone souls... Wandering eternity
       together.
       End
