       Elseworlds Story: Saving the kids

       Prologue:
       Prologue Theme: A Requiem (
  HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTikgRlh5A0
       )
My name is Kindron Darkfire... People call me the Storm God or
they call me Raiden Kindron because of my semblance (which is
named after the Shinto god of thunder). I am a vampire, one who
has been trained in elemental power (Though most are familiar
with the Darkfire family skills by now).
This is the record of my journey through the multiverse. I've
been searching for a friend who was battling an enemy who pulled
her into another universe. I still don't know where she is. I
don't know where she is, but I have continued to search for her
across the multiverse. I fear she may be lost, but I will not
give up until I find her.
Today, I found myself in another universe that would change my
       destiny...
I do not know the story of this universe. I only know what I was
told when I arrived, which you will see for yourself.
I could not have foreseen just what I'd find when I arrived
       here...
       Theme: Shiniki (
  HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4-1A6bxzWs
       )
I woke up in a room. I was in a bed, and left to rest. I didn't
know where I was, but I could see that this was a little kids
room based on the stuffed toys I could see.
I got up and walked out of the room. It was weird though. The
space here didn't make any sense. There were a few doors in what
looked to be a wide but short hallway. And at the end of the
hallway was a kitchen. I walked over to the kitchen. I saw out
the window and saw a garden with a fountain and a small white
       shed.
But something stopped me in my tracks. I couldn't see beyond the
edge of the garden. There wasn't a sky, or a wall or anything
physical. It was like an illusion that just stopped at the edge
of the garden behind where the shed was. You couldn't see beyond
it, but you couldn't see black or white or anything. It was like
whatever was beyond it didn't exist. I couldn't process what I
was seeing at all. But I could sense beyond that invisible
wall... I could sense raw energy. Electricity that was acting
like a barrier from the outside world. I couldn't sense anything
beyond the electricity, but I had a feeling that someone put a
       barrier on this place.
Female Voice: You're awake. A voice said to me.
I was pulled out of my thoughts and looked over. In addition to
seeing another room at the end of another hallway with someone
laying down on the bed, I saw a familiar face standing in front
of me. It was Zoe Zolnerowich, who was looking at me with a
curiosity in her eyes. In my universe, she and her sister were
members of Hellsing, and almost like daughters to me.
I look down to her and pat her head softly, which she seemed to
enjoy given the small chuckle she gave.
Me: Yes. I'm awake. I then look to her. Where am I?
Zoe: You're in Hellsing Manor... Or at least, in our section of
       it. She explains.
Me: What do you mean "section of it"? I ask her curiously.
Zoe: Well... We live in a small section of Hellsing. The manor
is split into four parts. She then looked to me curiously. You
really aren't our Kindron, are you? She asks me.
       I shake my head softly.
Me: I highly doubt it. I say to her. Last thing I remember was
travelling universes. I believe I'm in an alternate universe.
Zoe looked at me curiously. I feel like she wanted to be happy,
but she was very reserved. Very different from the Zoe in my
universe. This Zoe seemed to carry something in her posture and
look. I just couldn't put my finger on it. It was like she
       wasn't holding back her emotions.
Zoe: Another universe? That explains a lot. That explains why
you're still alive even though I've heard you died years ago
along with most of our families. She explains.
Her explanation made me stop cold.
Me: What happened? I asked. I didn't know what to expect, but
hearing that this Zoe may have lost her family made me want to
try and help her if I could.
Zoe: Well, it started with the Scarlet Sisters releasing the
Scarlet Mist. Once the mist was released, our families went to
war with the mist monsters. My sister created a barrier around
Hellsing and separated it into four parts, and there's a barrier
keeping our section closed off from the outside, and keeps us
contained in this place. Me and a few others live here in this
part of Hellsing. It's not a big section, but at least we stay
safe. I don't know who lives in the other parts of Hellsing. But
I know Integra, you, my sister, and even Danae, Raven, and
Alucard went out that day. And they never came back... We don't
know if they're alive, but we're pretty sure we're alone. She
       explains sadly.
Me: I'm sorry you had to go through that. I say as I hug her
softly. I could tell she was trying to keep from breaking down.
As I let her go, she looks up to me.
Zoe: So, why are you here? Traveling dimensions, I mean? She
asks me, seeming to want to change the subject. That was fine
with me for now... I could tell Zoe wasn't wanting to talk about
       the past.
Me: I was looking for my Integra. I know she was pulled into
another universe, and I finally managed to track her to this
       one.
Zoe: I see. I hope she isn't outside the manor... She might die
if she is. These days, the area outside the barrier is
unlivable. At least, from what I hear on radio frequencies from
the other sections of the manor.
Me: So. I take it you use your powers to listen to radio
       frequencies?
Zoe: I do. She says with a nod.
Me: I don't suppose there's anything on another Integra?
Zoe shakes her head. Zoe: I haven't heard anything.
Me: I see. I say as I look out. I notice the garden where it
seems they were growing their own food.
While I was studying the garden, Zoe was preparing a medicine. I
walk with her as she walks to the room I saw with a young adult
female inside, laying unconscious on a bed.
Zoe feeds the unconscious girl the medicine.
       Me: Who is this?
Zoe focuses on what she was doing as she answers.
Zoe: This is Artemis Fletcher. She's the daughter of Clair De
       Luna.
Me: So Clair has a kid in this world? I ask.
Zoe: Yes. She enchanted our garden, but that was before the
curse on her got bad. She says as she feeds the medicine to the
girl I guess was Artemis. Now, she rarely ever wakes up, and
even when she does, she has no strength due to the curse. This
medicine gives her some strength back, and keeps her from going
       into a coma.
Me: Who placed the curse on her? I ask, not thinking about if
the memory would be painful for her to talk about.
Zoe: We don't know. It just hit her one day. We think someone
might have figured out she helped create the barrier around the
manor and cursed her... My sister Maya created the electrical
energy that protects us from the outside, but Artemis created
       the actual magic barrier.
I guess that made sense. I'm guessing the barrier enclosed the
parts of the manor in a kind of pocket dimension. Makes sense
why no one has been able to break the barriers and enter inside
(assuming that there were people or things trying to break into
       the barrier.
I go over and study Artemis. I could sense the curse.
Me: I see. I say before standing up and following Zoe again as
she rushed back to her work. She took the medicine vial to the
kitchen and washed it. I walk over to Zoe.
Me: The garden... How does it produce food? I ask curiously
since I noticed it was producing food which probably wouldn't
have been possible normally. There was light, but it wasn't
natural. That much I could tell.
Zoe: Artemis created it before she was cursed... It produces
food based on what we want. It can only grow vegetables and
fruit, but if we go over to the garden and till the ground
thinking about what food we want to grow, it grows, and grows
quickly. And the fountain generates an infinite amount of clean
       water.
Me: Impressive enchants. I say to myself.
Zoe: I know. Artemis is our best magic user... At least besides
Rachel. But Rachel can't really help with any magic these days.
She says as she starts walking again after finishing washing the
       dishes.
I walk with her. I knew Rachel as Alucard and Raven's daughter
in my world and their youngest kid. Rachel Tepes. She was a
prodigy and a great elemental magic user like her mother, my
cousin Raven. Me: And what's wrong with Rachel?
Zoe: Rachel doesn't get enough blood... I feed her mine from
vials I fill when I can, but I can't give her enough to actually
sustain her unless I were to bleed myself dry. She explains.
Me: I see... That's dangerous. I say to myself.
Zoe: I know. She's going feral from the lack of blood, and she
attacks me most times I go into her room. She says as we enter
       another door.
I didn't say anything, but that wasn't why I said it was
dangerous. I've seen these kinds of feral vampires before. She's
basically trained Rachel's feral side that when she enters the
room, Zoe is basically her only source of real nutrients. As
long as Rachel remains feral, she won't see Zoe as anything
other than her next meal, which was why Rachel attacks her (or
       at least my guess).
Anyway, we enter a pool area. It was a large rectangular pool
that seemed to be half full. Zoe takes a hose, which I assume
was hooked up to the fountain outside (given Zoe mentioning the
fountain was infinite water) and begins filling the pool up.
Though with how big this pool was gonna take a while.
As Zoe starts filling the water, a woman in some kind of tech
suit walks over (we were on the shallow end of the pool and
hangs over the edge. She looks at me first, resting her head on
       her hand.
Girl: So... Who's this, Zoe? That's not our Kindron. She says.
Me: I'm from an alternate universe. I explain simply.
Girl: Oh? Want to jump in the water and hang out with me? I
promise I won't bite. She says jokingly.
Me: Uh... I say, a bit lost for words. I couldn't tell if she
was hitting on me or not.
Zoe: Megan. Stop that. He's not going to stay here long. He's
looking for his universe's Integra, so he's probably going to
move on soon. She explains. Though something struck me the
moment Zoe mentioned me not staying here long. But I kept it to
myself for now. Sorry. That's Megan, Aunt Danae's daughter. She
gets lonely down here. She can't leave the pool because that
suit of hers keeps her alive with all her injuries. It also only
works by absorbing water and converting it into energy. Our
       universe's Zelpharia made it.
I nod. Me: I see. I say simply. I knew the Danae from my world,
and I knew the Megan in my world. This version was different
from the one I knew. But I assume that was from the loneliness.
I'm guessing this Megan was alone most of the time.
Zoe: Sorry, this will take a while. Her suit absorbs most of the
water every day in here to power itself. But she can't leave the
water because the suit doesn't seem to gain any stored power.
She says as she fills the pool. Though almost no progress had
been made given how big the pool was and how slow the water was
       coming out of the hose.
Me: If we're going to be here for a while, I want to check
something. I say as I jump down into the water. Oh god that's
cold! I say as I feel the water.
Megan just laughs. Megan: Of course it's cold. There's not a lot
of heat here. She says jokingly.
Me: Let me look at your suit. I say as I walk up to Megan.
Megan: Um... Okay. Is that a good idea? She says, looking over
       to Zoe.
Zoe nods. Zoe: I trust him. As long as he doesn't do anything to
       mess up the suit.
Me: Don't worry. I'm just looking at it and analyzing. I won't
       make any alterations.
Megan: Good... Because unless you want me to literally die, this
suit has to keep working. Honestly, kind of surprised it is
still working. Supposedly this thing was a prototype with a life
       support system.
       I chuckle softly. Me: Don't worry. I won't break it. I say as I
study the design. I kind of recognized the design. I built a few
tech suits back in my world. I had to use my electrical powers
to scan it, but I got the info I needed.
I then jumped out of the water and tried to dry myself off with
       my black flames.
Me: Well... I think I know why you don't get any reserve energy.
       I say.
       Megan: Oh? Why's that?
Me: Well, this suit was made for deep sea diving. It's designed
to be used in conjunction with intense water pressure like what
you'd find at the bottom of the ocean. That, combined with the
water, is meant to give the suit all the energy it needs. But
without water pressure, you're not getting much energy from
breaking down the water alone. I explain, sitting near the edge
       of the pool.
Megan: Can you fix it? She asks me, seeming to do a 180 on her
earlier hesitation. I really don't want to be stuck in here my
       whole life. She says softly.
Me: It would take some work. But I could easily make a version
that doesn't require nearly as much energy to operate. I do have
a few tech suits I've built stored away that I can let you use
that run on my electrical energy until I manage to upgrade that
       suit of yours.
Zoe: So... She'd be able to live outside of the water? She says,
       hopeful for Megan.
I nod. Me: She should be able to. My concern is her injuries.
You said she was injured and had to stay in the suit, right?
Megan: Yeah... When the barriers went up around this place, I
helped fight the Scarlet Mist monsters who made it in here.
Unfortunately, my injuries never fully heal. Something about the
scarlet mist monsters energy when it attacked me... It seemed to
shut off my regeneration. This suit keeps me alive, and heals me
very, very slowly. It doesn't have a lot of energy, so it can't
       heal me that fast.
Me: I see. I feel like I was saying that a lot. Well, I'll pull
one for you later that has healing bio-gel... It's a substance I
designed that my suits use to heal injuries in a dire situation.
Maybe that will help. It also has life support functions, so it
should be able to keep you alive. I explain.
Megan: That would be lovely. I'd be happy just being able to get
out of this water, even in another suit. She says softly to me.
It took hours for Zoe to fill the pool with water. There wasn't
too much said. We mostly talked about what they knew about the
other sections. Zoe had heard that the section bordering this
one was run by a man named Berserker. Which was weird since it
sounded like he'd be an enemy. And it wasn't a name I recognized
as Hellsing. It kind of worried me about what other people might
be lurking in the other parts of the manor.
After Zoe filled the pool with water (which took hours), we went
back to the kitchen. Zoe was getting ready to prepare a meal.
Zoe: Sorry to involve you in my daily care... I take care of my
friends here and it eats up most of my day. She explains.
       I shake my head.
Me: It's admirable. You do your best to keep them safe and
       happy.
Zoe: Well. I don't know about that. This next part will be
hard... She says as she takes out a vial and gets ready to cut
       her wrist.
       I go and stop her.
       Me: Is this for Rachel?
Zoe: Yeah. I have to bleed myself so that she can use my blood
to regain her senses enough to eat the food I prepare.
I shake my head and take the knife from her.
Me: I have this one covered. You don't have to bleed yourself. I
say as I use my storage magic spell. I reach into my storage and
pull out what looked like a microwavable dinner.
Zoe looks at me curiously, and studies the dinner.
Me: In my world, I developed artificial food for vampires. My
space-time abilities replicate everything in my storage when I
bring it out, so I can pull out anything I have stored while
keeping a copy in my storage. I kept some of these stored just
in case I was ever without any meat I use to cook, since I
survive on animal meat. This should be enough to feed Rachel.
Zoe: Really? She says to me. She was definitely fascinated by
this food I brought out, as I start to cook it.
Me: Yeah. It's too dangerous for you to keep going in Rachel's
room if she's feral and your blood is all she's able to drink.
It will take a few weeks, probably, depending on how bad she is,
but with this food, she should recover. I explain.
Zoe walks over and watches me cook. She was small enough she
barely could see over the counter without her step stool, as she
uses her hands to try and pull her self up to look at what I was
       doing.
While I was cooking, I look over to her. Me: You're going to
need care too, you know. I say to her, ready to say one thing
I'd been wanting to say since I noticed her presence.
Zoe: What do you mean? I'm fine. She says, not sure what I
       meant.
Me: Listen... You're strong for taking care of everyone. But you
need to take care of yourself as well. You need to recharge your
zapper powers properly... By resting. I explain to her.
Zoe just looks at me. I could practically see the gears turning
in her head trying to understand what I was telling her.
Me: I sensed it as soon as I saw you... Zoe, your powers are
burning out. You keep yourself going solely on your powers.
You've charged up your powers constantly, and you are losing
your ability to hold an electrical charge. I explain to her.
It's like how a battery loses its ability to hold a charge the
more you recharge it. Your body is nearing its limit.
Zoe looks down at her self and uses her electrical powers to try
and test what I was saying.
Me: I take it you didn't notice it. And how could you notice
when you're pushing yourself so hard? I say to her softly. I
then pat her head softly. But you don't have to do this alone
       anymore.
Zoe looked up at me before I grabbed the finished meal and put
it on a plate. She was going to say something before I got ready
to walk over to Rachel's room.
Me: Stay here a moment... I'll take this to Rachel. I say to Zoe
as I go to what I assumed was Rachel's room (which was the only
other room in the place we hadn't visited yet besides the door
that seemed to be part of the barrier between sections of the
       manor.
Rachel was in worse shape than I thought. As I entered,
thankfully she didn't attack me. In her feral state, she must
have known drinking my blood wouldn't help her. But she did
notice the food I brought. And I could tell she was able to
sense what was in it since she carefully walks over. Once she
got close enough and I stepped back, she starts practically
       inhaling the food.
As Rachel looks over at me, she seemed to regain some of her
senses. Not much, but enough to regain her composure. She goes
over to her chair and sits down as I leave the room. She looked
at me, as though she were trying to figure out if she could eat
me too... Either that or she was probably curious about who I
was. But those eyes of hers were ones I knew. Eyes of pure
hunger. I knew it might take more than a few weeks for her to
completely return to normal, but it was a good start. She at
least seemed to be aware enough to continue to try acting
refined like the Rachel from my world used to.
As I came back, I noticed Zoe cooking again. I walk up next to
       her.
Zoe: I'm making food for us next. Thanks to you, I don't have to
rest and recover my blood. So I want to do something for both of
us. She says to me, grateful.
       I smile as watch her.
Me: Fine. But tomorrow, you let me cook, okay? I say to her.
Zoe: Tomorrow? Don't you have to go find your Integra?
I look down for a moment.
Me: I do. But I can't leave you all here to suffer alone. I then
look back up to her. Integra would never forgive me if I let
children of Hellsing live like this. I'm going to stay here. I
can look for clues on my own, but for now, I'm going to stay
here and help you. I'm going to help take care of everyone,
including you. I explain to her.
Zoe stopped, completely floored by my response. I could see
happy tears coming from her, even though she held herself back.
Zoe: But... It isn't easy. Caring for everyone.
Me: That's why I'm going to help restore everyone. I say to her.
Zoe: How? I've been trying... So hard. She says to me, trying to
       hold back tears.
Me: I have a plan... Artemis, I'm going to absorb her curse.
That way she won't have to suffer. You see, I've mastered the
vampire curse more than most other vampires. And one power I've
gained through that mastery is the ability to absorb curses and
be empowered by them. I explain to Zoe.
       Zoe: Is... that possible?
Me: It is. If I can transfer the curse to me, then it should
heal her. Though given her condition, you will have to help
rehabilitate her with how atrophied her muscles probably are. I
       explain to her.
Zoe: That... would be great. She says hesitantly, almost like
she was trying to avoid the hope she was feeling.
Me: And of course, Megan's situation I can fix over time by
modifying her suit. But I'll put her in one of my other tech
suits with life support until I finish upgrading her suit. As
for Rachel, you can probably guess that she's going to be on a
diet of my artificial food. She might need psychological
treatment once she fully regains her senses, but I can handle
that. As for you, I can help you recharge your electrical powers
using my own electricity. But only after you've rested for a few
weeks to let your body recover. I explain to her.
Zoe makes plates full of food and puts them on the table.
Zoe: Thank you... It feels like a dream to be able to finally
have hope again. She says softly.
She puts the plates on the table and we both sit down and eat.
I have a lot to do. In addition to finding Integra, I also need
to investigate this world. I need to find out if there are any
survivors of Hellsing anywhere else in this world. And I knew
I'd need to go to other sections of Hellsing Manor. But I wasn't
very open to breaking the barriers between the sections since
I'm sure they were there for a reason.
But for now, I knew I could at least help Zoe, Megan, Artemis
and Rachel survive. If nothing else, that was enough for now. I
wouldn't be able to search for my Integra for a while, so I
figure the best thing I can do is stay here and help these kids.
I did not understand just how important for me that meeting
       these kids would be.
       End.
